Sam walker has signed for colchester united on a 6 month loan

19 Jul 2013 20:40:33
David Flitcroft still in for more strikers as he only sees John Cofie as a 'future player' depending on how his first season progresses. Interest said to be in either Ricardo Fuller or Mladen Petric, wages said to be a slight issue for Petric making Fuller a more likely signing.

Are you genuinely linking petric to Barnsley?

I thought we were interested in Aaron Mclean at Hull!

19 Jul 2013 19:24:19
17 yr old left back Ben Davies has signed for York City on a months loan from Preston

20 Jul 2013 00:39:31
good move for young ben

19 Jul 2013 18:35:39
Yeovil looking to bring back former captain Craig Alcock in a £300k deal.

They would have to pay much more than 300K to get him back!

Craig did well with Yeovil Town in the past and would be a good squad member if he returned. However, right back (in old currency) is not our problem. Luke Ayling is an excellent player and Joe Edwards can provide great cover. We need extra strength in the centre and left side of defence, while a strong and experienced holding midfielder would help the side adapt to the demands of the Championship.

And it's more than they would be looking to spend anyway

I agree with you we need centre and right side of defence not a has been but someone who has experience and is only about 25 - 27 years of age please we need these players if we are going to stay in the championship

When Alcock was at Yeovil he played games at left back and center back aswell!

Gillingham set to give Bondz N'Gala a trial with the view to sign a permanent deal with the kent club with the former Plymouth Argyle and Stevenage man keen to be close to his home in London once again. Gillingham manager Martin Allen has been keen to add more defensive options lately and sees N'Gala as back up to his back four.

Seems realistic to me, we do need back up with experience.

Certainly did not get much of a chance to show what he can do today, only on a few minutes

19 Jul 2013 17:45:00
Roos will sign a four year deal with bristol city in the coming days.

Steven Davies wants to stay at bristol city.

Albert will join wigan for 1m rising to 1.5m

Also Marlon Harewood will sign a short deal until January on a free.

Seriously why are we signing this 33 year old past it player another waste like jody Morris and David james

I have nothing against Roos - I know little about him, but there's not a chance we'd offer a trailist a 4-year deal.

Davis 13 goals our top goal scorer and spent half the season on the bench the bloke is class and we won't sell cheaply

Roos has left the club so will not be gaining a contract. Parish is the only trial it's keeper left.

Roos Just left the club!

Four year deal for a trialist we just gave the boot to who makes these rumours up

19 Jul 2013 17:51:41
Shrewsbury have signed trialist John Marsden.

Well done

He is a quality signing 25 goals this season

19 Jul 2013 18:09:41
Ipswich Town have today confirmed the signing of Swiss international defender Frederic Veseli on a two year deal.

19 Jul 2013 17:19:31
Mark Little (ex Posh) to fill the right back spot for Shrewsbury - signing next week

Jesus!. he should have stayed with us.

Im sute he has already signed for birmingham

Wow. I thought he was leaving for better things

Leaves us and signs for Shrewsbury!
No offence but I doubt that very much

He was on trial at Birmingham but I have'nt head anything about the outcome.

Birmingham are skint so even if they want to sign him, they might not be able to!

Mark Little would be on a free and doubt if he would have the most expensive wages in Brum squad.

Decent acquisition if you get him in my opinion. Would have liked to have seen him at POSH this year to be honest.

Mark Little is an amazing RB. Wish he'd come back to Posh though.

He's not an amazing right back. he's very good going forward but leaves a lot of space at the back as he's not brilliant at tracking back

23 Jul 2013 07:53:03
Agreed not an amazing rb! Lazy player who never tracks back roberto Carlos wanna be

Barcelona seriously considering an approach for Swansea manager Michael Laudrup.

Despite Laudrup 'promising to say at least one more season', it is thought he could not turn down the Catalan giants and Swansea will not stand in his way.

Swansea already making shortlist for potential replacements including: Gus Poyet, Roberto Di Matteo, Gianfranco Zola and former Wigan assistant Graeme Jones.

Michael Laudrup is flying out to spain on saturday for some reason

20 Jul 2013 02:41:05
Do Matteo would do really well at Swansea tbf

Laudrup has a home in Spain where I believe his daughter still lives fulfilling her studies.
Personally, I don't see Laudrup jumping ship now especially after all the signings HE has brought in. Don't think any football fans (except Cardiff) would look fondly on Laudrup and his character if something like this was to transpire, nor the players who've signed up to work with him! {Ed001's Note - I thought Rubi was all set to take over Barca?}

Where Laudrup is there will always be a lot of rumours. That's the price you have to pay for having a former world class player as a successful manager. Enjoy Laudrup when he is here and don't waste your time on such rumours, otherwise it's going to spoil all the pleasure having him as manager.

Graeme jones is no assistant at Everton! Some of the rubbish people put on here is just shocking! {Ed001's Note - or perhaps you can't read? Only it did say "former Wigan assistant Graeme Jones" which is correct.}

Laudrup doesn't strike me as the type who would enjoy a high pressure job. seems to enjoy building up an underdog side more than managing a team expected to win every game

Really because he has a friendly on sunday so would be a quick trip and an interview on swans youtube channel saying he never thought of leaving and is extremely happy with everything at swansea

BBC reported Laudrup denied the link to barca

Laudrup must have a headache after all these journos speculating all the time and giving interviews on his future -_-

Luis Enrique and an Argentinian are in the running. Not a mention of Laudrup on Spanish websites

He's not going.

23 Jul 2013 00:28:00
Just read Marca in Spain no mention of Laudrup only Enrique in frame.

19 Jul 2013 17:25:06
lufc enquire about matt mills bolton and red bull new shirt/ground sponsors YEP

19 Jul 2013 17:18:10
Joe ralls and kadeem harris are set for a season long lone to new football league club Newport

19 Jul 2013 15:57:07
Portsmouth looking to sign former Norwich City youngster Michael Spillane. Bags of experience at that level and currently without a club training with Pompey.

Thought he was class at Norwich. Good player

20 Jul 2013 09:45:47
Norwich City are lining up a shock move for 29-year-old former Barcelona striker Maxi Lopez, who is now at Catania but spent last season on loan at Sampdoria.

Spillane lasted long released after one day in training hmmm sounds like a great player lads

He is a friend of a work colleague in norwich, he wants to play in an midfield role and has already turned down Stevenage as they wanted him more defensively

Maxi Lopez hope not, he has not been any good any where else so why ncfc just a cheap option, ncfc save your money

19 Jul 2013 16:33:31
Darren Bent could become a West Ham player by the end of the month after West Ham made an initial enquiry. Villa have demanded £8 million, but West Ham seem to only be willing to offer £4 million. Crystal Palace are the only other club interested in him at the moment. {Ed003's Note - newcastle ? }

He 's going to Newcastle

He will NOT go to Newcastle.
Paul

Lambert has today said that Newcastle move is up in the air & he's heard nothing from them.

CPFC won't sign him now they have the lad from Posh. Do the maths - even if you get Bent for £4m. at £80k pw that's another £4m a year - £16m for a 3 year deal,
Gayle at £6m (total, on appearances and progress) and £20k pw + £10k goalbonuses still only comes to less than £11m over 3 years.

Toon hasn't bid for Bent, of that I can assure you my friend.

You are always going to get goals from Darren Bent - Dwight Gayle you are not.

He'll go to newcastle

20 Jul 2013 16:02:40
He'll only go to newcastle if the fee is under 5 million and he takes a wage cut or villa pay part of his wages.

If you buy a player - you don't tend to get other clubs paying their wages.

Why don't Newcastle go for rickie lambert who according to the media likely to replaced by a golden boy from italy

19 Jul 2013 16:28:35
Burnley have boosted their relegation hopes with a double swoop for Huddersfield midfield reject Scott Arfield and unwanted Hartlepool striker Ryan Noble.

Burnley could suprise a few this season, Watford were nailed on for relegation under Sean Dyche and finished well in the top half, Burnley will not be relegated, still plenty of quality in the side and a few more to come in. {Ed003's Note - We are starting a weekly prediction game if you are interested scroll down the main site and see my post last night.}

Boosted their relegation hopes? Seems they're making the job easier fir everyone else then

Lets hope that your sarcastic message bites you on the bum. Good luck to the Clarets.

Noble is from Sunderland.

James Collins lined up for the terriers

Apologies, the sarcasm was aimed purely at the post, not the Clarets. I hope they have a good season and I'm really pleased to see Scotty's found a good club without having to drop a division

I agree that these singngs are hardly ones that would put burnley among the title conenders but are they really that bad? Maybe Huddersfeild and Sunderland will be the clubs that will regret releasing them (lets not foget Huddersfeid have singed a burnley reject as well)

I thought Paterson rejected a contract? Anyway, Arfield was right to move on, good player, but never suited Huddersfield for some reason, was always played in a different position he liked, we won't regret releasing him as he was never going to be anything big with us.

20 Jul 2013 20:35:54
scotty arfield is a league one player! but its ok he will be in league 1 next season

Paterson isn't a Burnley reject it was him who rejected Burnley's new contract offer

Yes true, but only because dyche couldn't guarantee pato that he would play him in his favoured role as a striker, dyche prefered him as a wing man instead.

Dyche a poor manager in my opinion, round pegs for round holes

19 Jul 2013 16:14:54
Lee camp is set to sign for Bradford by the end of next week

Bradford will not be siging anyone else apart from the vita and Woods.

I wouldn't be as dogmatic as that. Parkinson will be keeping his cards close to his chest and with the recent injury to Gray, he may well be considering other options

19 Jul 2013 16:15:35
Former hull city player Jamie devitt signs a six month contract with chesterfield fc

He should of stayed at hull he's class, a definite prem player

Recent success has made it extremely tough for him to break into the side but he has great pace a good cross and strong left foot shot. Looks a little lightweight hence why not played so much. Just needs a run of games. Some of his best moments have come when used in the hole behind the front two rather than out wide.

19 Jul 2013 15:27:01
Cardiff and Leicester to battle it out for Burnley Striker Charlie Austin

Hardly a battle if its just those 2, if he doesn't fancy Cardiff then no point going to leicester as they are no better than Burnley

20 Jul 2013 11:48:49
Hull, who were desperate for a striker ended their interest in Austin when a knee problem was exposed in a medical. I'm not sure Pearson would spend valuable FFP limited funds on a player who could break down at any time

19 Jul 2013 15:25:29
Burnley have signed Scott Arfield on a 2 year deal today and have sign Ryan Noble on a 1 year deal

Also expect David Jones signing to be completed early next weel also on a 2 year deal

19 Jul 2013 15:09:05
Barnsley have signed John Cofie on a one year contract with the option to extend a further year. Cofie as been training with the club ten days

That's wrong he's been training with Shrewsbury but pulled out if signing there when we came in for him

20 Jul 2013 07:10:43
No you are wrong he has been on trial for the past 10 days it has been said on the official website and i'n the chronicle

I wonder why him, he didn't do much at sheff united.

Hes been at barnsley two week training signed yesterday one tear deal maybe two year

By the time his year contract is up he won't have started a game odd sub appearance maybe.

19 Jul 2013 14:31:55
Barnsley have a striker on trial. early 20's and released by premier league club in summer. club refuse to name player as there is interest in player from other clubs. Ed you have any ideas who it could be? Ryan noble former Sunderland possibly? {Ed003's Note - Noble signed for Burnley,must be Cofie sorry were running late.}

19 Jul 2013 22:54:23
No its right his own words on social media

19 Jul 2013 14:31:26
Gary Rowett is waiting to hear back from former Coventry winger Gary McSheffrey, to see if he wants to play for Burton this season.

Seriously? Would be an amazing signing.

Looks like cov will be playing at northampton this season and cov are looking at loaning a couple of young players from man united to be aged 17-18 yrs old and loaning a player from yeovil a young goalkeeper aged 18 hopefully we get good results this season

Would be a quality signing for you is a fantastic play maker and can still score a few goals but getting on a bit

A fit McSheffrey woul be a great addition and not too old at thirty.

Many, many Cov fans are sad to see him go. Yes, he's reaching the twilight of his career but capable of moments of sheer brilliance (and a few bloopers). Would be a leader for Burton

Very slow player, can't take on a player, rarely gets shots away, can't pass or cross, completely different player to what he used to be like, you can have him.

19 Jul 2013 14:12:45
Crystal Palace are set to sign Argentine striker Luciano Becchio from Norwich.
Beechio is a good friend of Palace's Julian Speroni.

Only if Norwich get 3 more strikers in, we only have 2 including RVW

Seeing as Norwich only have 2 strikers they can try all they want. Won't happen

Yeah as if that's going to happen.

Don't think so CH believes he will be one of our 4 strikers although mostly starting on the bench

Anyway he will have a pal in Maxi Lopez! SOON

As a Norwich fan I don't rate Becchio and would normally say you're welcome to him, £20 and a packet of peanuts is about all he's worth BUT he's one of only two strikers at the club at the moment so probably won't be going anywhere until we get some others in.

Wishful thinking

Norwich only have 2 strikers. This will never happen!

Then norwich would have one striker not going to happen unless we sign a new striker

Utter pants he is going to fight for a place

And leave us with 1 striker. brilliant no chance

Luc scored last night and put himself about quite well imo. i'd say he will stay till January at least regardless of new signings

As a Norwich fan I DO rate Becchio and think that the '20p and a packet of peanuts' comment above is surprisingly mean and ignorant - about his record, at the least. He had an excellent strike rate of roughly one goal in every other game and deserves a chance at a higher level. We will still need two more strikers but don't write off or demean one of the ones that we have now.

Good player how can anyone give him a price of a packet of peanuts lol it's clearly nuts to much FIFA ain't even seen him play let typical Norwich fan

He turned down galatasaray for us so becchio can't be that bad. What's this about maxi Lopez? I like him

Doubt it. Give him a chance!

21 Jul 2013 21:47:15
To say 20p and a packet of crisps is without doubt a pathetic statement. He is a good striker and deserves the chance of putting the shirt on again and working with RVW in the premier league. He will produce the goods given the opportunity. {Ed003's Note - it was peanuts lol ;) }

Becchio is better then hooper

Becchio was brought in as Holts replacement and will feature loads next season I for one rate him, and always hoped he wasn't in Leeds team when we met them

Beccs is no way as good as hooper

If you are into money ball i. e. stats and data over reputations then Becchio is better than Hooper.

19 Jul 2013 14:12:18
Leicester City set to make move for Charlton Midfeilder Johnny Jackson.

Leicester going to fund part of the deal by selling Waghirn to Millwall.

No just no

Not going to happen he is our captain our leader and he loves it at Charlton. Would take Waghorn though was impressed when he was on loan at the Valley and would do well under SCP.

You could try but he is our captain and very very happy at Charlton, plus he wants to live in London near his family.

Basically Leicester have NIL chance of getting him.

Would be shocked if this happened

19 Jul 2013 20:40:46
^^ are you Jackson representative then?

We don't have to be Jacksons representative it's not going to happen

Never say never but he seems to really enjoy being with this group of players/is the club captain and after the way the club finished the season I would think he would like to see how far we can go this season. Jacko to stay.

19 Jul 2013 13:56:15
Wigan goalkeeper Lee Nicholls to join Burton Albion on a season long loan.

19 Jul 2013 13:45:21
Marlon harewood is to sign a deal until january for bristol city.

the backup keeper is going to be won by kelle roos.

Albert adomah is heading to wigan for 1. 25 million, increasing to 1. 75 should wigan get promotion.

Finally, bristol city won't be selling steven davies as he wants to stay, whilst marlon pack will be signing from cheltenham.

Nooooo he's rubbish Sean what are you doing we've got jet baldock Davies and burns sorry I don't rate Taylor so why are we signing a 33 year old has been

32 games last season two goals great

Everyone seems to be moaning about harewood, but I will mention a name he could be like for us. He was also considered unfit, journeyman etc, but 'Leroy rosenior' didn't do that bad a job. baldock could be his andy cole.

Could it really be true. marlon harewood at ashton gate. been made to eat my words when I said I quite fancied marlon down there. I did mean marlon pack. pretty sure if he is signing guess it means Davies will b off. also baldock was captain Saturday. know its only a pre season game but y else would sod give him the captains Armand if he was going. in big shaun we trust. if tin man can get them young uns drilling in left footers from 25 yards we will b firing. lol

Big Shaun we trust just who is Shaun? if you are refering to our manager is Sean O'Driscoll

I don't like the idea of Harewood particularly, but he had a time where people were demanding he get a shot for England.

If he can find fitness and form he could be a league 1 star. I guess we will wait and see.

What a suprise another Pack rumour. !

19 Jul 2013 13:34:20
Middlesbrough want to sign defender Christophe Berra on a free transfer.

Wont happen, Bates/Ayala are defenders looking at.

Berra will go to ipswich

Danny Graham signed for Hull, so there's another one not coming to Boro

20 Jul 2013 00:09:50
We take to long to get players other teams know if we are looking at a player they can get them cause we simply don't have the willing to go and complete the deal frustrates me the amount of player we could of got but havnt could be in the prem and wouldn't be in the situation we are now

Its to do with money and we ain't got any. Nothing 2 do with taking 2 long. Other clubs can pay better wages. What are you talking about man.

Boro fans you just need a little patience. Two more players will be signed before the first game of the season.

Most of the players that Boro will sign will be loan players and that won't really happen for another 3-4 weeks.

By being patient we will pick up some gems

I'm glad we didn't get Graham, he is an apauling striker who would of get less goals than leadbetter

Veseli another one who has gone to another club after Mowbray said he was interested the man Mowbray is so laid back about things he is horizontal

We will get who no one wants!!

Weve lost out on so many signings we were linked with its gotten embarassing

Lol patience? I duno if youve noticed mate we got rid of 10 players from last season- brought 2 -in n have another 7 out injured! That's 15 players less than we had starting last season. By Aug 3rd kickoff even if we have 2 players in by then were still low on numbers mate do the last thing Boro need to do is be patient (we need a squad)

Have faith in Mogga, he will pick up who he thinks is right at a good price. Danny Graham is on premiership wages and probably doesn't want to drop down a division. it will all come together.

Mowbray came out and said he wasn't intereed in Vesili.

Loans all the way i'm afraid

Berra to Ipswich now more egg on his face

19 Jul 2013 13:32:24
Brentford interested in securing Manchester United youngster Tom Thorpe on a season long loan to push Harlee Dean and Tony Craig

How good is he we need a cb because harlee got injured yesterday

Harlee isn't injured long term, only a week.

Yr but it just shows how quick someone can get injured

You've only just discovered how quick someone can get injured! How long have you followed football! a week?

19 Jul 2013 12:50:06
Tom Barkhuizen is going to Shrewsbury. Bradford were interested but they are to sign De Vita as the striker/winger they've been looking for.

Well he certainly qualifies to play for Shrewsbury as he was once on loan at Hereford!

Just the sort of player we need :- (

19 Jul 2013 12:39:44
Matt Phillips to Hull £1m + Cameron Stewart

Phillips is out for the best part of three months with a broken arm!

He is injured for 3 months and 1m and Stewart No way

Id do it for 500k and stewart. a broken arm is no real problem. and philips has a lot more potential than stewart at the moment.

He was good a couple of years ago. wasn't that good last season - much like stewart

19 Jul 2013 11:50:05
Reading apparently interested in chris wood of leicester city fc and paddy madden of yeovil fc. I'm Really not 100% sure hence why I've posted it on Rumours, but make of it what you will.

Not 100% sure about which bit?

Any club with an interest in Madden will probably have to wait until January now. Unless, of course, it's for a huge amount.

Theres only one bit to be sure about?

Don't think any of these would happen they aren't good enough for a top champ side

You can have madden, we should sell him why we can doesn't look the same player in pre season if he scores +10 goals I will be surprised

Why aren't they?

Because Madden hasn't proved himself at this level and wood didn't really score many last season

You never know though in the champ strikers can score 5 goals one season then be on fire the next season so it could be a gamble

Did, nt score that many. woods nearly scored 20 goals all b it sporadic but also he had to deal with settling in at 2 clubs . I'll take that a see how he fares next season thank you very much

Madden said ages ago he's not leaving yeovil so again thisnisnt true, boring.

19 Jul 2013 11:42:56
Deon Burton's release from Oxford fuelling speculation he could be joining Colchester

Gillingham I think.

I'm sure he was at Gillingham?

Released from gillingham, training with Scunthorpe, so close

Colchester don't need any more strikers

Signing for Scunthorpe United on non-contract terms

He has signed for Scunthorpe!

19 Jul 2013 11:41:10
Watford are hoping to bring in young Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom on loan after it was announced that he would be made available

He would not get in the starting 11. And I doubt Liverpool would loan him out to warm a bench.

He's heading to Wigan on loan as he'll get plenty of games as well as European football.

True that ^

Did you think Briggs could get in the starting 11?!

19 Jul 2013 12:17:35
Newcastle transfer news: Magpies want Hammers defender James Tomkins who is available at a price believed to be around £6m

19 Jul 2013 12:05:40
Scott Parker is going to W. B. A

Would be a class signing but can't see it personaly. we have lots of central midfield options already

19 Jul 2013 12:04:25
Matej Vydra, who spent last season on loan at Watford, is thought to be attracting the interest of Celtic, Fulham, Southampton and Reading. However, Udinese's high valuation of the player may prove a stumbling block for any potential suitors.

19 Jul 2013 15:00:31
He sure as hell ain't going to Reading

It will be a stumbling block for all of the above mediocrity.

He is heading elsewhere.

Pozzo sell when a player reaches what they consider to be his peak value - none of these clubs can afford him - £15m is the absolute minimum they would take I suspect and right now I suspect they will hold out for £20m - frankly if Zaha is worth 15 then Vydra is worth 20!

There is no valuation. Matej Vydra is not for sale, despite the silliness of his agent.

Zola has hinted that there is a good chance Vydra will be back at Vicarage Road

I like this fella, young and knows where the onion bag is. would be welcome to develop at saints

He would never go to Celtic, he said he wanted to play in a top European league. Irrelevant of the fact they're in the Champions' League, a few games a season is not worth playing in the uncompetitive SPL.

19 Jul 2013 19:57:53
I'm sure reading is high on his list silly post

Southampton can afford him, easily. But I doubt they would go for him

Personally I think the Udinese would be stupid not to try him out in their first team then look at serious bids in January

Southampton couldn't afford him? Really? When we've already spent 20 million and plan on spending atleast another 30? Besides, he's not good enough for what we're building.

You mean Fulham, Southampton and Reading, all owned by billionaires can't afford him. Yeah ok.

Sorry but FFC can certainly afford him, blatantly another bitter Watford fan who can't except he's going elsewhere.

All the clubs named can afford him

I'm sure that Reading could afford him but the point is he has said that he wants to play in a top league either the Premier or Bundesliga so there is no way he would go to Reading. If he was going to stay in the Championship it would be with Watford. Mind you with some of the top talent we've just signed on permanent contracts (I repeat permanent contracts, NOT loans) I'm not sure that he'd now get a place in Watfords starting eleven!

Ha ha, pozzos will not except less than 15million for vydra, and all above clubs are welcome to him, he'll score aload of goals and come jan when the BIG clubs come sniffing his agent will be in his ear again and he will vanish like he did for us

To the guy that said we are bitter that Vydra is going elswhere, you clearly haven't seen our signings. Frankly, Vydra's future is inconsequential to me and we have more than enough quality in our forward line to replace him. Whoever gets him will get a top talent, but by the sounds of it, he's staying in Udine.

Not Reading or Celtic. Celtic are a good team but the league is not good enough in general. As a Watford fan I would quite like to see him go to Fulham as I think that he'd do well there. It's a shame that the Pozzo's want something like 15-20 mill for him

Ultimately he is under contract to Udinese and his agent is doing what he I supposed to do and talk up his client. The bottom line is if the Pozzos' decide to sell him then he will go to a top 6 premier club as a bench warmer and not another Championship hence why Zola has hinted that the may be at the Vic next season

As a watford fan, some of the things I read on her is embarrising. I would bite the hand ofany club who offered 10m but I also don't think the pozzo wouldsell for less. Personally I think he'd fit well in either fulham or southamptons team he's just got too big for his boots at watford. with only two years left on his contract the pozzo will most likely look to sell now before his value depreciates.

Love this little section about Vydra your all wrong West Brom have a deal in place to sign Vydra on loan and then buy him for 8mil and giving udinese a first by back and can have him for 8mil after 3 years boing boing.

Too big for his boots? Vydra was class for us last season and I'd take him back in a heartbeat. He could go on to play at the highest level. He was always goig to burn out at some point as he only played a couple of games the season before due to a horrible injury.

Any Watford fan that says he wouldn't get in our team now is talking rubbish, but our team is pretty damn good without him I must say!

Dream on mate. Vydra ain't for sale for any less than 15mil

If you go to watfords website and look at the squad profiles, all of the loans and players out of contract who are not returning have been removed. all those staying are still there including vydra

Tbh I wouldn't read too much into that. They haven't added the new signings on to the site yet and still have Fitz on there who is likely leaving. They only remove people once they are officially gone.

Please Watford fans realise this, you had Vydra but lost him the minute Phillips scored at Wembley. Stick to Troy ( railings) Deeney & if Fulham wanted him we could very easily afford him. TBH he looked pony at Wembley & that match showed that Watford are not ready for prem football & I fear for them when they fail to get promotion & the Italians say #Tala

FulhamMMAChamp

No mate, we lost Vydra when his agent put stars in his eyes. Unfortunately for him, no one in the prem or the bundesliga is willing to pay the fee he deserves because he had a dry spell last year and because he's not English. For that reason he will either be given to us for another year, sit on the bench in Udine, be given to Granada or be loaned out to another Serie A side.

For some reason you think Fulham are big time mate. Just because they've got money does not mean they ever spend it.

One match is not the story of a season. Had we gone up, I firmly believe we would be the best equipped to do well in the prem of the three who went up. Cardiff went up with hoofball and will be found out by the superior prem defences. Hull don't have nearly enough goals in their squad and don't seem to be making urgent moves to rectify that at the moment. Palace are leaker at the back than we are (as evidenced by goals conceded last season) and aren't sharp enough upfront, especially with Murray injured for the whole season and Zaha at Man U. And let me tell you Dwight Gayle is nothing special. We however have a squad packed with internationals at senior and youth levels. Best squad depth in the championship right now and we've a better chance of going up this season than last by miles. Stick to commenting about prem clubs mate.

You show your lack of intellect by the fact you have judged Watford and Vydra's entire seasons based on the one game you happened to watch. Over the course of the season we were the 3rd best team in the league, there is no argument there, it's a fact. Palace beat us on the day, fair enough, but we were/are more prepared for the Premiership than Palace are currently. If you knew anything about the Pozzos you would know that they are in this for the long term, and if you knew anything about the players we have signed you would know we have a very good chance of promotion. We don't need Vydra this season, but if we get him he would be a welcome addition. I suggest you don't comment on anything regarding the Championship in the future as you clearly know nothing about it.

1) He was injured in the playoff final
2) Whoever said they would bite their hand off for 10M, thank god you have no say in the running of the club
3) The Fulham lad - Watford were the best team in the championship last season and would have been promoted if a) the takeover had gone through earlier so the squad had time to get used to each other and b) the refs weren't all out to get us i. e. giving penalties against us for nothing and sending players off that didn't even touch the opposition
4) If you look at our squad this year then you will see how strong we are looking

Thankyou for your time, try and do some research before you harp on about things you know nothing about :)

The guy above is just embarrassing for Watford fans - clearly over the season we were not the best team whilst I agree that on our day we were, we were nowhere near consistent enough. Also Watford fans need to not get ahead of themselves, all this talk of being the best squad and walking the league etc is far too premature and in my eyes can only work against us

To be fair, with our squad, we should win the league. Not saying we will, just should.

Walking the league is an exaggeration but I don't think it's getting ahead of ourselves or asking too much for the now much improved squad which has actually had a proper pre-season this year to finish a place better than last year, is it? That's what we have to do. Finish one place better and we have got promotion. That's why there is so much expectation.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez wants Nathaniel Chalobah to join on loan for the season.

Bugger. Was looking forward to a cheeky return to Vicarage Road! Whoever gets Chalobah this season has got themselves a VERY good young player. He's still only just 18. Future England Captain.

19 Jul 2013 19:42:29
Chabs deserves a chance in the premiership as he is premiership class it was an abaolute pleasure to have him last year at the vic. Good luck chabs

Cardiff to sign Burnley wide man Danny Ings for around 1. 3M next week

Already turned down a similar offer and Danny has a major part to play with Burnley especially with the uncertainty surrounding Austin

Obviously not!

Why would we accept that from cardiff when we rejected a couple of bournemouth bids thought to be in that region?

19 Jul 2013 13:38:06
Burnley have already slapped a £3 million price tag on Ings after turning down £1.1 million from Bournemouth. The Clarets see Ings as a better long-term prospect (financially) than Austin.

Not happening. Burnley not entering into any outgoing negotiations until Austin deal is done with QPR. Even then, this deal is very unlikely.

We need much better quality than Ings bs

Nonsense, the guy is under contract and we certainly wouldn't be letting him go for that, which is practically what we paid for him.

Bournemouth, Cardiff! Who next?

We don't need Ings we wouldn't pay that sum for him and we can find better out there

19 Jul 2013 16:41:15
I'd rather keep Ings and sell Austin instead - Danny is a better all-round player than Austin and his value should continue to rise.

3 goals in 33 games last season. no thanks!

19 Jul 2013 11:22:56
Although Preston already have five strikers after the capture of Kevin Davies they are still looking into the possibility of bringing a young loan player in from the premier league.

19 Jul 2013 12:40:10
they will wait to see what injury stu beavon as and if they shift Beardsley out first

19 Jul 2013 11:04:59
Kalou, Kenwyne Jones, Scott Parker, set to sign for WBA
imminantly if the rumours are to be believed.

19 Jul 2013 12:47:05
I've been told Parker is definitely true. Clarke prefers 4-3-3 and would like Parker in the 3 with Mulmbu and Yacob.
Anelka and Kalou up top with one other

I certainly wouldn't believe the Jones rumour, as it actually started as a rumour as couple of days ago here. What happens next? An idiot blogger pinches it, writes it up as fact and starts the ball rolling. Sometimes it may help for people to look a little closer at things before saying it'll happen.

19 Jul 2013 18:23:41
Why does the Jones to WBA keep cropping up all the time? Do The Baggies have any interest in him at all?
On one of the forum message boards one blogger who is
"in the know" and" if I divulge my source I will have to kill you" states 4 maybe 5 signings, probably a troll but it would be nice to see a bit of ambition in the transfer market by The Baggies as the squad don't look nearly good enough to stay in a comfortable mid table position

19 Jul 2013 11:04:49
Millwall have offered Dany N'Guessan and 200k for Bristol city's Steve Davies

Hope soo but sl said n guessing is to be given a second chance, i'd rater sam baldock tho

No thanks.

We won't be selling Davies def not for a swap and 200 k he was our top goal scorer and is happy in Bristol he won't be leaving this transfer window no chance

Steven scored 13 goals and spent half the season on the bench he's staying put as he's happy I'm Bristol and worshipped

I'd quite happily accept that! N'guessan is quick strong and good on either foot (let's not forget he tore us apart on New Year's Day). Yes Davies scored 13 goals but he's lazy and isn't a team player, so I'd rather a worker than a lazy player who based on yesterday's game, really wasn't interested at all!

If you think N'Guessan is a worker & a team player your in for a nasty surprise.

19 Jul 2013 10:59:25
Andrius Veljonika will be used as bait as part of a deal to sign Bristol City's albert adomah. Great young striker with bags of potential. In light of davies potentially being sold, Veljonika is seen as a much better option than Marlon 'Forehead' Harewood.

Do you mean Etien Velikonja if Cardiff?

20 Jul 2013 00:57:39
Young striker. and great striker. nice to see you managed to see you kept up-to-date with a development striker. Btw he's not really young and you got his name wrong. Apart from that keep posting rumours!

19 Jul 2013 10:38:52
Millwall linked with Billy Sharp. Steve Lomas has stated he needs to add another forward to his squad. Sharp is best mates with Andy Keogh and new signing Richard Chaplow so don't be surprised to see this come off!

Always dreamed of billy sharpe in a wall shirt I can see it now billy sharpe and steve morrison up front andy keogh on bench

Get billy sharp SL. proven

I hope this is true, would be a very good signing and I think Millwall would be in contention next season

Absoloutly no chance of this happening

Come on stevie lomas get billy sharp in and give us a real threat up front, the fans will love ya 4 it!

19 Jul 2013 10:33:34
Slightly disappointed as a west ham fan to read this morning we are being linked with Peter Crouch and have offered Titus Bramble a 1 year deal. Not the players I had in mind to strengthen our team

Bramble only trained with the squad he has now linked up with ipswich

You've already got one giant striker with which to play your Hoofball. Why would you need another.

Fit in to big sam's style of play, lovely long ball hoooof's.

19 Jul 2013 14:03:19
bramble ha ha ha ha you poor sods otbc

19 Jul 2013 10:23:05
Seems like a poor signing but shrewsbury are going to offer david bell a one year deal after being released by coventry

Cracking player, we never played to his strengths. Good luck to him.
Coventry's Cheekiest Charmer.

Signed for notts county

Marsden has signed

19 Jul 2013 18:39:07
Davud Bell has signed for Notts County

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23379172

Signed for notts county

Cov fans disliked Bell because of his injury record. On the field he was decent, end of last season he was the best player on the park, playing left wing (cutting inside). Cov are letting him go because his wages could support 2 players at this level.

Good luck to notts county with bell the guy is made out of polystyrene he's spent virtually his hole time here and before at Norwich in the injury room but he's good for 5 or 6 games a year.

19 Jul 2013 10:05:07
Butterfield to go to boro for 500k.

Hopefully I like butter field but were signing to many midfielders, Scott McDonald signing for Millwall.

Mowbray has said that he only wants a centre back and a striker. Not another cm

19 Jul 2013 14:50:19
Why would Boro pay that much for another midfielder when were not short in that area?

Mogga no need butterfield. he turn down Boro last season.

Good player, probably won't get his chance for norwich any time soon

Maybe Leadbitters going to Forest after all and he is his replacemant

19 Jul 2013 09:32:54
Johnny Mullins back to Oxford on a permanent deal.

This would be the icing on the cake. Its believed that when OUFC were on tour in Scotland, the manager was scouting nearby. Rotherham were playing nearby, so just maybe and hopefully.

19 Jul 2013 17:49:18
Would be best partnership in lg2 wright and mullens but why would he scout him as he played well on loan last season for oufc

Extremely doubtful as he has just signed a 2 year contract at Rotherham

Looks like Mullins to sign for Oxford on Monday
Fee agreed (rumoured to be 50k).

Mullins to sign for Oxford on Monday.
Fee of 50k.

Entirely possible but not at 50k. Half it and OUFC would feel more comfortable pushing a deal through

OUFC can't even afford 50p let alone £50k! nice one, dream on people with web fingers.

22 Jul 2013 17:23:02
Signed whoop whoop

All done, announced on website today 3 yrs for undisclosed

19 Jul 2013 07:44:48
Heard on the great vine that albion are looking at bringing in andre wisdom on loan from liverpool. Would take that all day long a bit of pace in the defence

19 Jul 2013 07:40:34
Stoke closing in on diouf from hannover and have also offerred a youth contract to ngoy. there will still be a few more ins and outs yet for stoke

20 Jul 2013 23:49:44
I have just read the SC travel roster for the USA and
I, am off the opinion that if MH thinks that Shotton,
Wilkinson and Walters are Premier class then it does
not really matter who is signed, the more I read the
stupid banter of Stoke fans about signings the more
I, am inclined to believe Saturday mornings papers
who are showing Stoke amongst relegation favs.
Rob Clayton

Well good for you, but we'll be laughing when we sign both of these players

Basically what you have posted is that if a team has Wilkinson, Walters and Shotton they are relegation favourites. So if Manchester United signed them 3 they would we be relegation candidates? Or if Stoke signed Messi, Rooney, Pepe, Ronaldo and Fabregas they would be relegation candidates too? Absolute nonsense 3 players don't decide a team and we have spent 5 years in the prem with those players we can again.

I must agree that Wilkinson Shotton & Walters r not good enough for the Premier. Mark will put new players in their positions I am sure. Potter kev.

19 Jul 2013 08:18:12
Charlton have offered Rob Hulse a one year deal following a successful loan spell last season

Successfully? How many chances did he miss for us? He couldn't even finish a happy meal

To be fair he finished far too many Happy Meals for a Charlton footballer. I think it is important that when he was available for loan at the end of last season that Dr Powell went for Obika rather than Hulse.

Rubbish!
He's off to lge 1

With millwall set to sign Bailey Josh Wright is on the move across london to Leyton Orient

Has anyone noticed that Bailey is No 6, Trotter's number. So anyone know where to find the new numbers. Josh not really good enough and something needs to give. Trotter, Abdou, Wright, Chaplow, Martin, Henry, Feeney, DNG, and Bailey. I take it Smith and Dunne are fighting for RB, and Lowry and Malone LB.

Team is taking shape now I think

Think youll find he's number 6 as he's signing number 6.

Russell Slade is keen to sign free agent Conner Henderson 21. The player first made his Arsenal debut against Orient in the FA cup. Slade was very impressed with the youngster, ( who has a great left foot ) and has previously tried to bring him to Brisbane Road.

No, bailey is millwall's sixth signing, read the article on the website

19 Jul 2013 18:40:53
No, nicky bailey is millwall's sixth signing, not number six. Read the article on the millwall website

Trotter' number. My question was is Trotter going or will he have a new number.

Why would trotter have a new number?

Got it, Bailey is not shirt number 6, aplogies.

19 Jul 2013 08:16:40
Millwall look set to win the race to sign Arsenal's Joel Campbell on loan for the season

I doubt this very much, I believe a few teams are looking at him

Lets all face the 'FACTS' Scott McDonald would be a 'VERY GOOD' signing & 'PROVEN'! But 'DOUBTFUL!Bristol City won't 'SELL' Steve Davies & Leicester are messing us around with Waghorn! SO I still say what about Simon Church?

Nicky bailey has signed atwo rda ih millwall

19 Jul 2013 08:51:30
Due to a lack of funds and a thread bare squad Charlton are focusing on the free market. After signing Richard Wood they are looking at the following:

Leon Redwood - LB released from Brentford
Matt Bates - CB released from Bristol City
Therry Racon - CM released from Millwall
Lee Camp - GK released by Norwich
Robbie Simpson CF released by Oldham
Lee Cook - LM released by QPR
Miguel Comminges - RB released by Stevenage

Our squad is in good shape we have a competitive midfield, a solid defence and good goalies
summer work to be done
ins
jon obika 350k
coulibaly free
richard wood free
mark gower free
outs
dale stephens 1.5m

i think the new squad will be competitive and add in diego poyet, jordan cousins, joe pigott and ade azeez we will have a team capable of top ten, don't fix what ent broke, after all we did finish 9th last year

Thought Camp had gone to Bradford?

You are getting desperate if you are looking at Robbie Simpson!

Bates was shocking he gave away two penalties in two matches good luck

You finished 9th big deal! Outside of the top 6 is a nowhere spot any club down to 20th could have made the top 6 given how close the season was last year. Don't think charlton are any better than any of the rest infact they are not that good at all. Remember parked the bus at millwall one shot all game and 2 zip at yours

Watching pre-season matches, I agree Piggot and Cousins are probably ready for a chance in the first team but Azeez and silver are not ready. We need at least two new strikers (Adamo coulibaly) and a fast skill full striker (like Danny Haynes)

Why do we need a Right back, left back or Centre back or any other defenders for that matter? We've just signed Wood so we have 4 centre backs and we have two full backs on either side leaving us covered there. As for a goalkeeper we've got Hamer so no need for Camp. We've had Racon and Powell actually got rid of him so no idea why he'd want him back? As for Cook Powell had the chance to sign him on after his loan spell and well he's not better than what we've got so Powell said no. That leaves Simpson, while I can't think of a reason for him not joining us the rest of those rumours are so silly let's rule him out as well!

We might of only had one shot at yours and lost 2-0 at home but to be honest I'd rather lose to you and come 9th, just missing play offs, rather than win that game and just avoid relegation

-------------------------------
Looks someone hasn't heard of mathematics then. Not surprising really if its a Millwall fan.

Cook released by QPR? Haha, get your facts right, he was released by Leyton Orient.

We had 10 shots actually

Wow 10 shots how many did you score?

Youmsed the playoffs sad we misd prelegtio se you next year!

19 Jul 2013 08:12:38
Millwall are looking to end Jamie O'Hara's Wolves nightmare by signing him on a season long loan.

We don't 'NEED HIM' we've just signed Nicky Baily!

Have him anyway

Please, take him. You will be getting a premier league capable player.

Hes a show pony leave him where he is don't want to see him in a wall shirt

19 Jul 2013 04:22:48
Stoke looking to sign Luuk De Jong and Diouf from
Mongdengladbach and Hannover respectively. Reported prices are £8 million for both

Can't see us stumping up £16m on two players, that's why we dumped TP

Diouf is a powerful striker with a bit of pace and and finish hopeful we will get him signed up we need a good striker

We've not been linked to De Jong, he was merely mentioned by SL&P as a hypothetical to gauge fan's reaction to the proposed bid for Diouf.

19 Jul 2013 00:20:51
Brigthon is reportedly close to signing Kenwyne Jones from Stoke

19 Jul 2013 07:36:30
No thanks we don't want him,

Would be amazing if this was true, but it seems he is going to the other Albion instead, WBA.

19 Jul 2013 08:23:29
don't really believe that the wages are to high

19 Jul 2013 11:00:56
Like to know why it would be amazing, no better than what we have, like someone said wages would be to much, only way we might get him is on loan,

No thanks. WBA won't have cast-offs from the Land That Football Forgot.

I think the poster is mixing up Kerwyne Jones with Nathan Jones the ex-Brighton FB who has just rejoined BHA as one of the Assistants to new Brighton Head Coach Oscar Garcia. Nathan Jones coached the Charlton U21 team last season - they won their league.

19 Jul 2013 13:30:46
Good quote from wba fan, bhafc don't want him either, couldn't hit a barn door from two yards, keep him stoke thanx,

19 Jul 2013 16:37:52
Think I no Nathan Jones mate been a supporter thirty five years, can't mix them up kenwyne not to good, Nathan was steady at the back,

18 Jul 2013 23:44:40
Marlon harewood in talks about a possible move recently been on trail with millwall since Barnsley released the big fella {Ed003's Note - posted on Bristol City page}

He just training with millwall as he's friends with lomas - bristol city can have him as he's useless

I am not excited by the prospect of Harewood as a replacment for Davies or Baldock.

That said when he has hit top form he has been a capable Premier League striker, so if we sell one of our front two and this iswho SOD wants I will back him.

Marlon Pack due at Ashton gate monday after compensation agreed with cheltenham, cash plus season long lone of a player sorted.

Barnsley sign John Cofie on a one year deal with an option of a further year
