Di canio to Charlton, after another defeat tomorrow night at Leicester city.

Di Canio has resigned from swindon today, so could be true?

Why - powell is a better manager and a far better person

Maybe not but could be apart ofbackroom staff

Why would we want to get rid of Powell. What he has achieved in the circumstances has been great. We have no money so DiCanio would not be interested anyway!. In SCP we trust.

19 Feb 2013 15:35:42
No chance SCP is here for a long stay. Safe mid table with a good young team. Chris powells job is untouchable

Tell you what fellas chris powell will be a future great manager, I even go as far as saying englands first black manager, if you want rid I would snap him up back at leicester, has the dressing room and respect in the game. good luck tonight lads but don't beat us again please! proudy leicester

Di Canio is off to West Ham when Big Sam is sacked.

Well we just went and won 2-1. I think we can put this one to bed.

Aren't we after Aidy White from Leeds. ?

19 Feb 2013 15:45:56
Same guy as poster.

We tried to get aidy white on pre contract in the summer but we wouldn't meet his wage demands so he signed a new contract with leeds. More of a winger than defender much like many quick full backs.

Alot of our transfers will be either u23 lower league players or someone from the academy signing proffesional terms its a way of keeping the youth policy which is a smart way of doing things on a small budget.

Sam123 {Ed013's Note - Aidy White is a better LB than a winger Sam}

Former Reading player Daniel Carr played on trial for Charlton U21s on 18 February.

Rotherham United to sign paddy madden from yeovil if rotherham go up and yeovil stay in league 1 with kieran agard going back to yeovil as part of the deal

I can smell the BS from here mate. #YTFC

Ha someone been drinking?! There is no way that he would ever go to Rotherham! Agard in exchange you mean the guy that Yeovil released! Nice try pal!

No way paddy is destine for the championship not league one and i'd rather have Gareth stewart upfront than agard he is one of the worst strikers to wear a yeovil shirt

18 Feb 2013 23:11:17
not a chance, he can do much better

Not got anything better to do than sit around and completely make up unfounded dribble? This 'rumour' will not come to fruition.

Paul Sturrock is a dead man limping at Southend United. Defeat at home to Leyton Orient in the JPT Semi-Final on Wednesday will see him lose his job. It is already planned that Stutrrock will be replaced at the end of the season by Kevin Keen but this will be hastily brought forward if the defeat, which at the present time seems inevitable, occurs. It may not be possible to release Keen from his assistant coach deal at WBA until season's end, in which case a temporary manager will be put in charge at Roots Hall with the most likely scenario being a short-term (until the end of the season) contact for either Lee Bradbury, or more likely Kevin Watson.

The reason we are struggling at the moment is because of all the players missing from the squad so he would not be getting the sack!

Obviously written by an Orient fan to undermine the team. It will have the oppostite effect! Mark my words.

Total fabrication from some bitter Southend Supporter annoyed at losing a couple.

Do we know how many O's an will be travelling on wednesday? I have my ticket and heard we had sold 2000 late last week.

There will be appx 2, 500 O's supporters in the ground. Maybe more.

Not sure how many supporters the mighty O's will take, but there should be about 500,000 people who claim that Orient are their secound team watching the game on TV!

Sturrock is very likely to be removed from his post following tonight's game, unless he can somehow summon his makeshift team to a victory. However, the new man in charge will not be Kevin Keen - the KK initials are correct (no not that one) it will be Kevin Kilbane, who will be at the game tonight to run the rule over the side he might well be in charge of this time next week.

Southend have got so many injuries?
dont make me laugh!
You have to congratulate their manager for a good game of Bluff.

Why should Sturrock be discarded.
He has been great for Southend. He has got the team playing to their strengths.
I'm an O's fan forever, but good luck to the Shrimpers in the Final. They deserved to beat us to-nght.

Huddersfield town are looking at the possibility of bringing Callum McManaman in on loan after his impressive display against them in the cup on Sunday.

Cant see it but would be an excellent option

Haha why would he want to come to a team that played as poor as Huddersfield?

Everytime I look at this site, huddersfield seem to be signing everyone!

Thats because town fans seem to think they're a rich club

18 Feb 2013 23:59:25
That's not even a good rumour just a silly fan who saw a decent player have a few good runs at Jack Hunt! Who I can say is by far one f the best players at HTFC! And we are lucky he wasn't sold in the window! However I would like to see what the mangers see in Arfield worst player on the pitch week in week out yet is always in the side and then even when playing badly still doesn't get substituted? What is going on there? I must be watching a different game to everyone else!

You must be a Lee & Novak fan as well then, if you think arfield is worst player every week.

What has everyone got against Scott Arfield? In my opinion as a town (I bleed blue and white) he has been one of the most improved players this season. Sure he has a bad game every now and then, but, as with football, who doesn't?

However sends in the rumours about Town, why or why are they about one off in form players, who of either played against the Terriers or have recently had a good game on a recently televised match, get some imagination!

Ever thought it may not be town fans posting who we are supposed to be signing??

Why do people not like Novak, I admit a few months ago I didn't think he was good enough but recently he has been putting in loads of good performances, scoring and producing great passes, he puts all of his energy into his game instead of having ago at him look at the support you give for the team

Improved? he couldn't get any worse!

19 Feb 2013 22:18:20
Another stuffing for Town tonight, if no reinforcements arrive soon then we are down! No midfield general, no guts, no goalscorers. It will be an expensive 12 months in the Championship, can't see Deano funding another promotion push from L1!

This is when you find out what a manager is really made of. I don't know Mark Robins well at all but the Coventry City fans were sad to lose him. Watch this space!

20 Feb 2013 09:45:05
Guess who we still need to replace? Yes folks its Jordan scoring fir fun Rhodes. Listening? Mr bad businessman Hoyle. You really have to pull something out of the bag now deano, because that one is down to you. Yes I know Rhodes wanted to go. but. he was under contract and he is not a sulky Primadonna preier league player and would have done the business. We need premiership players in NOW!

I totally agree re Rhodes. No manager will be able to keep us in championship Mr Hoyle unless we get players in NOW. Last night should really be a wake up call.

What players will want to come and play for us in a relegation battle.

The whole season and bad decision making is wholly down to the chairman, and look where it has got us, selling, loans, not buying, all adds up to disaster and relegation. I expect the chairman to go if we go down, he may as well do and take his blueprint for the future with him

Totally agree. We need players in now who can hit the ground running. Too late to bring in loan players from championship who can't make it at their own club to build a team ethos and style. We need winners now, battlers. That means premier league players. Serie A, Bundeslieg, whatever, but class and proven. Yes it will cost, but only to the end of the season because they will have to be on loan. It will cost even more if we are relegated. That really would be worse than bad business.

Who are you kidding? He wanted to go and would have pushed it until he got it, regardless of his good nature. would you turn down a move to better yourself as much as he has?

Agree with all the above posts, typical town of year on year trying to do it on the cheap, when this season in particular could and should have been so different ie staying up comfortably, most sensible supporters would have accepted mid table or thereabouts, but not to be threatened with relegation with 14 games left, and after such a bright start, costly Dean to go back to league 1, or is that the part of the blueprint us supporters are not being told about?

Where are the loan players that were talked about to come in before the Leicester game? Its now too little too late. I like Beckford but now he would be as well being sent back to Leicester as we are paying his wages for nothing.

We did fine without rhodes at the begining of the season when we were in the playoff places, we brought in 7 new players, which is more than most, as for loans, well there was only ever been 3 on the field at any one time and only 5 in total, which for a club like us isn't much, incidentally one of those loan players who doesn't care is our joint top scorer.
the players need to stand up and be counted, we can't blame robins, he's only been manager a week.

Yeah, as regards the blueprint about our future ie nurturing young players bringing them into the team etc etc, not paying fees etc etc, i'd love to know how the chairman thinks this will save us from relegation, no disrespect to the young current lads, sinnott, atkinson, and whoever etc, these kids won`t help in our current plight, so i`d like to know how our club intend to rescue the season, if indeed they plan to? Talk of more loans that never materialise, then onto ipswich still no loans, no explanations? Chairman very quiet at moment ain't he, and website spouting more trash about partners doing this doing that, SPEND to keep supporters coming through your turnstiles, otherwise they and your many many club partners will be no longer.

Yes quality needed now totally, might cause a laugh but seriously michael owen till season end would be good, costly, but necessary quality input into team now overdue and badly needed, Novak, Lee, etc etc will only see us relegated, because one more Novak goal rest of season doesn`t cut it, as doesn`t beckford being paid for nowt.

It doesn't matter how many goals we score if our defence aren't keeping the goals out. PC, in my opinion is our worst offender and is unable to keep up with the other teams when they attack.
How many goals this season has he been and will be responsible for?

One player that might help us stave off relegation is Southamptons 28 year old experienced midfield battler Richard Chapelow on loan till end of season.

If it wasnt for Deano, we wouldn't have even been in this division or in div 1. No one was moaning about him when we were winning matches earlier in the season. no one was moaning when HE was spending HIS money strenghtening the squad. It is down to the manager and the players not stepping up to the mark. Deano has been quiet recently, that may be down to the fact that he has been in hospital. FACT.
In stead of this pathetic moaning, get behind the players, get behind the team and get behind the Chairman.
Support the team thru the good times and the bad times. UTT In Deano we trust

Town to get playoffs, trust me I know I have predicted the promotions from the championship six years in a row without fail. This year Cardiff top, Watford second and Leicester through the playoffs. you will see

Can you predict this weeks lottery numbers for me then please, also has it crossed your mind it might be time for a lose.

Rotherham hope to finalise a loan with view to permanent deal for Rochdale forward Ashley Grimes before the end of the week

Iv heard this too but why would Rochdale loan him out?

18 Feb 2013 09:02:46
Lee Trundle was a Rochdale vs Torquay on Saturday interesting!

He is still injured so won't sign for anyone

Preston didn't release him until the 8th of Feb therefore he can't sign for anyone until the summer.

18 Feb 2013 21:28:11
he signed for chester and he was a free agent thus could sign for any league club

Signed for Chester City.

The only reason he could sign for Chester is because they're not a league club. His release was after the transfer window closed which means he would have to wait until summer before signing for a league club.

19 Feb 2013 19:22:36

Former Nigerian international forward Julius Agahowa looks set to join League 1 outfit Crawley on trial. Agahowa is currently a free transfer.

He was seen at middlesbroughs training ground early last week

20 Feb 2013 12:07:43
Crawley have had a grant accepted to build a new studium at the end of the season they have put in for a 23 thousand seater ground they wull share the ground with the local council

Where do you people get these lunatic rumours from? A 23k stadium?! That's 20k more than we need!

21 Feb 2013 08:44:15
If you kept up to date with crawley then would have heard that we have had a grant approved it will be shared with the council and will host other events but mainy a home groud for crawley fc

Well I do tend to keep up with the affairs of CTFC but there's nothing about it on the OS. Richard Low has stated plans for a £1.5m updating of the training facilities (owned by the council) and a new pitch at the ground (owned by the council) but apart from that, perhaps you could enlighten me with a link to the story

18 Feb 2013 00:52:39

Derby have started to pick out their targets and possible targets for the summer. A whole number of scouts are attending Pride Park looking at a few Rams players. These are what my source has had to confirm.

Possible Outs (Ofcourse not all will happen):
Will Hughes- Arsenal, Man City, Fulham, Spurs, Liverpool

Jeff Hendrick- Sunderland, Celtic

Ben Davies- Notts County, Shrewsbury

Conor Doyle- Chesterfield, (On loan)

Nathan Tyson- Walsall,

Possible Ins:

Paddy Madden- Yeovil

Carl Dickinson- Watford

Jacques Maghoma- Burton Albion

Mitch Nicols- Brisbane Roar

Outs for derby

Tyson, Davies, Deeney, Bailey, Ball, Adams, Roberts, Doyle, Oconnor, Atkins.

In

100% a left back.
Shaun Barker (cb return).
A young right winger that will be out of contract in the summer.
A goalscorer.

Carl Dickinson a possible 'in'? No ambition then Derby?

Jeff Hendrick's not going anywhere. I can see Theo leaving though.

Seems like you are playing your own fantasy football here! outs for derby this summer will be the few fringe players like Bailey, Davies, Atkins and perhaps a coupe of the youngster who just are not up to it Lelan for example. despite much hype the academy will not be producing any more stars or youngsters signing professional contracts this year.

Next year see more of Jacobs, Bennett, and Freeman. barker will come back in and get another long injury, his cover will be O'connor and Bucko with Keogh and O'Brien and Roberts (still another year on contract) being the main players of the back four.
Callum Ball will come back unfit and way behind others pre-season again, another year in the under 21's before shipped out on loan again and Cloughie will stick with Doyle as cover Coutts.
Main loss will be Brayford, sold cheaply for 1.5 million to a promoted Cardiff. Sammon and Robinson again up front for another flirting campaign with the play-offs,

same old Derby!
