Swiss side Bellinzona have accepted an undisclosed bid from City for attacker Alessandro Ciarrocchi. Ciarrocchi trained with Forest in September for a week when O'Driscoll was boss and now the 55 year old wants the Swiss player at Ashton Gate.
Another relatively unknown player to join is Alfreton player Adam Quinn. Quinn has been playing regularly at the Blue Square Premier side and will sign until the end of the season.
The third name is set to be a new goalkeeper. O'Driscoll isn't happy with some of the keeping he's seen this season whilst watching the reviews of the campaign so far. He is set to sign experience Roy Carroll from Olympiakos in Greece on a short term deal until the end of the season.

16 Jan 2013 22:29:43
The chances of snapping up former loanee Korey Smith on another loan deal until May have somewhat been hindered by the fact that a host of championship clubs are looking into a possible permanent move. Smith has caught the eye of the likes of Bristol City, Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday and league one front runners Tranmere Rovers, and norwich are thought to be ready to accept a bid in the region of £200,000 for the young midfielder.
On a brighter note, Yeovil look to have edged closer to the signing of Joe Edwards from Bristol City once a new manager has settled at Ashton Gate. Additionally Gary Johnson is looking to add a pinch of spice to his midfield so don't be surprised to see something happen there, albeit it is likely to be a loan deal. Amongst the names mentioned are Lloyd Isgrove of Southampton and Leeds United's Dominic Poleon - who can be employed on the left flank.
Shaney!

16 Jan 2013 22:19:10

Blackpool are wanting to approach former manager Simon Grayson, who is currently boss at Huddersfield. Grayson left for Leeds in 2008 but is targeting a return back to Bloomfield Road after Town's recent slump in form.
Another name in the frame is former Northampton, Nottingham Forest and Hibernian manager Colin Claderwood. Calderwood applied for the job in the first place but has been overlooked but will have talks this week, with a view of signing a two and a half year deal if Grayson turns them down.
Newcastle coach Willie Donachie is the final name on the shortlist but it is expected not to come to that. {Ed003's Note - Oyston only does rolling 12 month contracts so he is wasting his time ;) }

No way would they go for Colin Calderwood, he was shocking at Hibs

Just what i've heard from some pretty reliable sources with regards to Watford:
Expect Joel, Ekstrand to sign from Udinese before the end of the week, with the Horns still keen to sign the likes of Pudil, Vydra and Abdi permanently - however with Vydra And Abdi there has been significant interest from other clubs so these may take longer whilst the Pozzo's consider the situation, but it looks likely that both will be remaining at Watford as long as they are happy and the Pozzo's feel that their value is increasing. There are some issues with Pudil regards Watfords' interest in signing a LWB, he appears to want a first team gurantee before moving permantly. Evans Kangwa is expected in at Watford next week for a trial having been granted a visa, and young striker Oliver Capper from IFK Norrköping is also expected to sign a long term deal before the turn of the week. In turns of outgoings, expects Yeates to be off to a championship club, plus i have heard of loan interest in both Sean Murray and Lee Hodson. Will keep you posted as i get any news in

Was starting to sound believable until the end, Hodson is already out on loan! Thanks for playing.

16 Jan 2013 21:15:13
Louis Saha is supposed to be a target for Aston Villa after his recent contract termination from Sunderland.

16 Jan 2013 21:14:22
Villa after Watford's Troy Deeney, after his recent run of form. Troy, is said to be the replacement of Darren Bent.

It would fit Lambert's love of playing inexperience players instead of proven ones!

Villa have signed plenty of players from lower leagues and it hasn't worked, would be a terrible signing

16 Jan 2013 20:38:26
Burnley and Ipswich are set to battle it out for Notts County winger Alan Judge who is out of contract at the end of the current season and is available for around 400-600K

No chance burnley alredy have to many wingers

We don't need ANOTHER winger!

16 Jan 2013 20:32:53
Darren Bent to Newcastle for 7 million

16 Jan 2013 20:10:23
Nathan Tyson joins Millwall from Derby on loan until the end of the season.

Wages freed up by this move could see Liverpools Jack Robinson and Leicester striker Martyn Waghorn joining the Rams on loan in the next week.

Im 'BAFFLED' by this signing even though its only till the end of the season? But I hope that Im proved 'WRONG'!

Tyson?I thought Clayton Donaldson of Brentford would have been a very decent signing at 27yrs old, strong/physical presence & knows where the goal is! A good 'FINISHER'! I know KJ was interester in him?Still there you go!

One word 'BAFFLED'?

16 Jan 2013 19:52:45
Ľubomír Michalík and Chris Porter to sign for Plymouth in the coming days. The latter on loan.

Jon Forte from Southampton is reportibly interesting the Gills

16 Jan 2013 17:56:41
Southampton are eyeing Lazio striker Mauro Zarate.

He tends to play on the wing or just behind the main striker so would be ideal.

He has fallen out with Lazio management and is available this month.

However, Lazio want £15mill for the 25 year old

Would join Southampton as they are not big enough

Southampton ain't signing him. Not a chance

More like 5m and that's a gamble, seriously out of form

If he's fallen out with the management and we have Cortese doing the deal we probably could negotiate down to £10 million. Not sure how much substance there is to this rumour though.

16 Jan 2013 19:32:18
Reading are preparing a bid for Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas, and are willing to meet the buy-out clause in his contract. They would, however, prefer to pay the £8.3m fee in 3 installments

Yeah best to spilt the payments into three easy to manage chunks. If i was Reading, i would defo get some PPI just to be sure

They'll have to do it in one though because celta want it in one installment.

They might meet the clause but no good if the player doesn't want to come. Apparently he's going to Valencia now

Valencia say they have signed him

He said he would prefer prem to spainish league

16 Jan 2013 19:27:37
Brighton just signed Leonardo Ulloa £2 million on a 4 and a half contract, Gus now chasing Elliot Benett to bring him back to the Amex and complete his January transfer spending! Bennet also £2 million

Bennett is worth at least £5million.

16 Jan 2013 20:36:32
When BHAFC sold Bennett to Norwich they included a massive sell on clause. If he went back he'd be cheap, if Norwich sell him on to anyone else bhafc get %40 of any fee.

Rrrrrr that's why may be Benett was at the Amex today then, saw him while I was getting my cup tickets, may have just been visiting old friends of course.

Confirmed on Brighton website. 4 1/2 year deal.

16 Jan 2013 18:32:15
Forest are still on the lookout for a keeper even after signing Kuwaiti international Khalid Al Rashidi but have been knocked back by wages demands of Rob Green and Spurs Gomes, they will now turn to Shay Given or Craig Gordon.

Wigan have come in for Luca Becchio who was also on Forest's radar, the Midlands club were meant to be talking to the players representatives this week after agreeing a deal with Leeds but the deal is now not certain.
If the Becchio deal dies Mcleish is looking at DJ Campbell as a possible other option.

Chris Burke is expected to thrash out personal terms with Forest this week after the club came to an agreement with Birmingham of around £500,000

Forest will also put in offers this week for Peterboroughs George Boyd (one offer had already been turned down) and Blackpools Alex Baptiste

Why would Leeds sell to a Championship club? {Ed034's Note - money and him wanting to go. I don't think for one minute he'll move to forest, not know it looks like blackstock will sign a new contact. I do see him at Wigan or lower half prem

Hearts manager John Mcglynn is interested in a swap deal involving James Hanson, John Sutton & an unnamed player. The interest has also alerted Stuart Mccall who is an admirer of Hanson. Watch this space as I have this on good authority.

Neither Hearts nor Well have any money to spend and Bradford won't sell cheap.

16 Jan 2013 18:34:41
Just a quick note on Wesley Sneijder, Interest has been shown by a rumored ten clubs, these including Galtasaray, Fenerbache from Turkey, city rivals of his current club AC Milan, a trio of premier league clubs consisting of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool as well as Parisian oil giants Paris Saint Germain and German champions Borussia Dortmund, former club Ajax and an unnamed club from the MLS.

Recently his situation has been well covered in the press that Galtasaray are favorites for his sought-after signature, with the chairman of Fenerbache coming out in the press and saying they cannot afford Sneijder's proposed £9.5m price tag. Today, an image was linked around the interweb of Sneijder posting on social networking site twitter the letters "YNWA."

This tweet was deleted several seconds after being posted, but was captured and it soon went viral. Now, as a Liverpool fan myself I think that any move for Sneijder would be highly unlikely as he has high wage demands (supposedly far higher than our board can afford, despite forking out in excess of £100m for Carroll, Henderson, Downing ect... need I say any more?). I am not filled with optimism that a move will happen but this is the biggest hint yet that Sneijder's preferred destination is with Liverpool in the premier league, after the Dutch maestro claimed "he would love to play in the premier league one day".

As someone with a footballing brain, I can see how Sneijder would fit into proceedings at Liverpool; he would play a role in the midfield feeding both Suarez and the newly acquired Sturridge chances at goal, as well as providing extra experience for the developing talent to learn from on the training ground.

Whether anything will come of this is yet to be fathomed, but personally I can see the midfielder having a successful spell in the premier league. Thoughts?

RedMist

He's told close friends his dream destination is Man U. He's holding out for a call from Fergie, if it doesn't come he'll settle for second best.

I would imagine that Sneijder would want Champions League football...something which Liverpool cannot offer.

Crystal palace fc have come up favourites to sign Qpr forward DJ Campbell after redknapp announced he will leave in next few days....ipswich or palace?

If he has any sense, Palace. London boy, Palace have a good shot at getting promotion too

Campbell is keen on returning to Ipswich after a successful loan spell there. He enjoys playing for the club, and likes the area, his teammates, the management and his support at the club.

To the mighty town

16 Jan 2013 21:12:04
If palace did manage to get promotion what would be the point in zaha leaving, if he stayed he would be in the palace team leave to go to a big club be in and out of the team or loaned out. To me if he does move he should stay in the south near his family, there is an old saying better the devil you know so stop at palace.

But he's not needed - palace desperately need a decent cb to stop them leaking goals

Both managers Appleton and Howe were keen on the Bury Youth Graduate at previous clubs and Blackburn showed an interest before they were relegated last season... Bury's transfer embargo might forced the Board into selling their prize asset

Blimey, I don't think so, how many wingers do we (AFCB) need LOL...

Apparently we're linked with everyone now. Yes we got a rich Russian owner but Howe has only stated that we're looking for back up full backs. They might be the odd extra but that's about it.

Iago Aspas on his way to the premier league with Reading with a 8.3m bid

Lol, can't see reading paying that much

Can't see that happening mate !

This rumour is gaining momentum now and quite a few places are reporting it. Don't know whether this will happen or not, but it is in discussion

Heard Valencia want him. Reading no chance if that's the case.

Reading need to start spending big soon otherwise they go down.

16 Jan 2013 13:13:54
Cheltenham are trying to get swindon striker paul benson on loan for rest of season with view to permanant deal

16 jan 2013 11:45:17
reading have shocked everyone and bid 8.3m for iago aspas. also a 1m for george boyd and a 4m bid for sunzu. az's cash is out

This is true and it's about time.

Sunzu is on trail, so nothing new there, Iago Aspas is well documented, so that is not new either and there is nothing firm in Boyd - and that has been discussed here before. Tell us something new please

Newcastle outs:
Ben arfa (PSG)
Krull ( ac milan)
Collocini ( back to Argentina )
Cabaye ( arsenal Tottenham )

Ben arfa will have then been to France's 3 biggest sides Lyon, Marseille and psg

With those changes, Newcastle are assured to be relegated!

Ben Arfa - Do your homework boy! he said in a mior interview that his boy hood club was to go to PSG, he didn't say he wanted to leave. He also said that he wanted to stay and do well with newcastle for next few years. Also, that interview was from ages ago, just brought back up to add to new castles problems. Wont be happening.

Krul - Ac milan won't bid more than 8 million euros. Nothing near Kruls worth, try double figures! so he won't be leaving.

collocini - won't be laving for nothing. especially not till summer. He effectively has said he will quit football before joining any other side than his home club in argentina because of his wife being ill. Ashley won't just let him leave as he has a contract worth ten million. Can only go if he pays his 4 year contract out himself. just so you know that is 4 years worth of weekly salaries he has to pay, it will bankrupt him near enough.

Cabaye - also won't be leaving. He said himself he intends to stay at newcastle for a couple more years at least and with his best mate debuchy just joining he won't be going anywhere, and if collo does go, cab aye will be captain.

think your crap stories through before publishing them.

gillingham are set to sign 3 new signings within this window with david wright set to join from palace. wright has been on loan at the gills earlier this season and managed to keep the gills good form at the beginning of the season. Cody mcdonald is set to join from coventry. scally and he's agent are currently talking about a loan deal untill the end of the season. Aaron o'connor has been linked with the gills the 29 yeard old has netted 19 for newport this season and could just be what the gills are looking for if they cannot land mcdonald. Also the gills are looking at getting ian henderson from colchester.

Cody mcdonald signed last week for Orient?

16 Jan 2013 17:41:06
Erm well I think you find that it was charlie not cody aha the one who used to play for mk dons not coventry!!

16 Jan 2013 18:45:43
That was charlie macdonald

That was Charlie. Cody will be signing for the gills

16 Jan 2013 11:39:26
Leeds closing in on the signing of out of favour sunderland striker fraiser campbell

Keep dreaming, if he goes anywhere it will be back to the KC

I really hope this is true, seeing as it is looking like we are going to lose Becchio.

Aye, with Becchio going the other way - Fair swap i`d say, hee hee.

16 Jan 2013 16:28:23
MON stated no more players will leave, can't see this as true

16 Jan 2013 18:17:54
i heard he just want first team football ?

16 Jan 2013 11:31:36
By thursday gills will have of secured at least two more signings with David Wright and Cody Mcdonald coming in on loan until the end of the season. Scally and Cody's agent are once again talking and was seen at the Port Vale game discussing contract terms

16 Jan 2013 11:28:16
Watford will not be signing Matej Vydra on a permanent contract this January as Udinese may want to take him back at the end of the season due to his fantastic form. It all depends on whether gain promotion or not, if Watford are promoted they will sign him if not he will return to Udinese. Joel Ekstrand also won't commit to the club just yet due to similar reasons. Perea will be coming in on loan as well as another couple of players who will be bought by Udinese and then immediately loaned to Watford.

Absolute rubbish...if you know anything they all come on season long loan already agreeing to join permanant if watford wanted them ie Fernando Foristeri........So just stop these silly comments

The Pozzos are desperate for Watford to get into the premiership so if Watford do not go up this year they will not be recalling the best players.

Hopefully when Vydra signs a perminate contract soon all these silly rumours will stop

Watford gaining promotion/establishing as a Premier League team is the Pozzo's number 1 aim at the mo, their resources are focused on us at the moment, we are not a feeder club

Watford could "buy" him now, and for whatever reason he could be "sold" back to Udinese. After all how many players leave one club only to return, Tommy Smith, Luther Blissett and Dennis Bond are goodWatford examples.

I'm pretty certain he'll stay at Watford, he publicly said he was loving life in England and Watford, and the Pozzos want Watford in the EPL because of the financial benefits they'll gain. They will want to ensure Watford establish themselves as a EPL regular and for that, Watford need the best players, and he is one of them

16 Jan 2013 11:03:12
Typical West Ham not securing Diame at the start of the season and now in real danger of losing him to Arsenal. Lucas Biglia VERY interested in a move to England and West Ham, where if he combined with Diame would make a great Midfield combined with Noble and Nolan. that's if Sam can keep hold of Diame

16 Jan 2013 13:14:59
Nah mate nahhhhh

I Believe at the start of the season he did sign a two year contract from a free transfer from wigan, it is the buy out clause that is concerning as obviously his agent is telling everyone so he can get a bigger pay pack

16 Jan 2013 10:51:04
M'vila - QPR
Ben Arfa - PSG
Lewandowski - Man Utd
Shurrle - Chelsea
Gotze - Man Utd in the summer
Diame - Arsenal
Krul - Ac Milan
Victor Valdes - Liverpool
Willian - Spurs
Lampard - Juventus
Wanyama - Stoke
Junior Hoillet - Stoke
Torres - At Madrid (Loan)

I think you'll find wanyama will go to a bigger club than stoke (no disrespect to stoke), valdes to liverpool? highly unlikely as are gotze to man you and willian to spurs if anywhere he'll end up at chelsea
tam

Doubt Wanyama will leave for any club.. but it would be nice to see Hoilett at the Britannia! :D

Stoke wanted him on a free qpr beat us to him i bet hecrejects going there

Is wanyama not meant to be going to man utd

Too much football manager for this guy!

16 Jan 2013 10:42:19
Watford are looking to bring in the italian starlet Diego Fabbrini from udinese, touted as the next kaka, he would appeal to GZ as he would provide further quality upfront for the golden boys.

Space will be made in the squad for a few other players by sending some current loanees back to udinese, possibilities are alex geijo and neuton, fanchone already having been sent back and beleck now on loan at stevenage.

The Pozzo family will not be selling Matej Vydra any time soon as they see him having a much bigger fee in a few years and see him as their new alexis sanchez.

BS18

Alex Geijo is going nowhere nor is neuton !!

As far as the Ekstrand rumour goes;this is true!

16 Jan 2013 10:17:18
Cameron Jerome linked with a move back to Cardiff .....source Stoke Sentinel

The sentinel never said that they said Cardiff have made it clear they would be interested with pulis saying he's part of stoke plans and Cameron saying he's happy to be part of stoke plans

Get rid of him! and get Hoilett or Zarate in his place.

Sentinel only covering off what other channels are saying. Hope he doesn't go as he scores pretty much each time he gets on the pitch. He's the nearest we have to Ricardo Fuller when he was on form

16 Jan 2013 09:51:03
Plymouth are in for ex Chesterfield forward Craig Westcarr. Westcarr worked under Sheridan at Chesterfield and the pilgrims are in need of another attacking player.

Dunno about this Sheridan said that he wouldn't get any Chesterfield players in January.

Matthew

Yes, he kept JS in a job last season with a spectacular Wembley goal, could see him doing well for him again

16 Jan 2013 09:50:13
Robert Earnshaw is set to join Portsmouth on a one month loan deal.

16 Jan 2013 12:51:19
he is signing for the massive swfc

I wish, could get into alot of championship teams never mind the whole of the league 1!

Wages have to be paid to pfa one month in advance hence portsmoth contracts ONLY monthly. Like managing a virtual team

16 Jan 2013 09:48:26
Despite only moving to Rochdale during the last transfer window, Bristol Rovers have been given permission to speak to Bobby Grant.

A.K.A. Ricky Tomlinson.

Portsmouth ownership battle seems near conclusion with PST about to strike a deal with Portpin over the ground. The deal is believed to be around 5 million pounds.

Once PST have control Portsmouth will be able to recruit players on more than one month contracts.

Your no where near a conclusion.

And you know this how ? Are you a board member of the PST ? No I thought not. You are reading the newspapers the same as the rest of us. From what I have read, the Trust have just gained some extra funding (I don't know from where) but they are now saying that as long as they can get Chainrai to agree to a price for Fratton Park, they should be able to buy the ground outright.

Don't believe what you read. End of January will bring end of Pompey, PST will not be able to come up with the dosh. Why do you think they have continued to play for time?

Sad sad situation do not feel Pompey will survive and all these palyers coming and going makes it all seem a big bad joke.
The supporters are amongst the best in all Divisions and do not desreve what the former owner is doing.
Just hope at the last min an investor comes in as it looks as if the end of the road is near

16 Jan 2013 09:43:05
John arn Riise is to join Huddersfield on a short term deal after being released by Fulham. This will mean Jack Hunt can move to Swansea and Town can look for a long term replacement over the summer.

HTFC fan here.

a) Hunt is a RB. Riise is a LB so not sure how that would work out

b) Riise will be on far too much wage and is unlikely to join a struggling championship side, since he got angry at being dropped for a Prem side

i.e. no chance!

Rissa has not been released

16 Jan 2013 09:42:33
shrewsbury want brian howard.

Why would be looking at another midfielder?

We need a striker who can actually score.... not a team full of midfielders

1 goal all season in the JPT? Pass on him

Short and sweet. I like it

He is too old

7 centre midfielders already!!!

16 Jan 2013 09:41:12
Michael Appleton looks set to allow Portsmouth to take Jordan Slew on loan from Blackburn.

Appleton believes Slew needs games and thinks Fratton Park will be perfect for the player.

Robbie Cotton is also being mooted for a move but it'll be between Pompey and Accrington as who gets the player. Pompey might not be able to bring in Cotton due to financial constraints.

Bristol City Transfer News:

Frank Feltscher has his last day of his trial with Bristol City today and is unsure where his future will be. New boss Sean O'Driscoll will assess him today in training and a loan move will depend on the outcome of the training session as Frank Feltscher was part of Derek McInnes's plan.

Crawley rejected a bid from Bristol City yesterday for Kyle Mcfadzean and the offer is going to be put up to £600,000. If a deal is done he will not be able to play against Leeds due to his viral infection.

Jon Stead is being linked out of Bristol City for an undisclosed fee. Barsnely are being linked to purchase him due to losing their striker.

Nottingham Forrest's Lee Camp seems to be on Sean O'Driscoll's radar. The out of favour goalkeeper seems to be interested in a move to Bristol City to join his old boss. Bristol City have failed to keep a single clean sheet this season. This fee is yet to be decided.

Bristol City's Liam Fontaine has failed to shine in the past few months. If he fails to impress this weekend he will be put up for sale. Liam Fontaine has been at Ashton gate since the reign of Gary Johnson, since then he has not played to his ability and some say he has cost managers their jobs.

£600,000 ?? You really are having a laugh mate. If you want him it's going to cost almost double that, and he's worth every penny.

Stead is definitely off to somewhere in Yorkshire as he has not long bought a house in Sheffield. A family member of his told my brother this a few months back so I always knew he was off.

Mcfadzean may go but not for 600000 he willlcost nearer a million

Lee Camp is being allowed to leave on a free transfer

Kyle is still under a long contract £1m please.

16 Jan 2013 09:08:50
Kevin Doyle and Jamie mackie both to sign for Newcastle today 100% true also Sunderland trying to sign Darren bent and Aiden mcgeady ain't a fan off any off these clubs no a certain agent in the north east spoke to him last night he ain't involved in any off the deals just in the no about them

Well, hope your right bonny lad, because I`d have Bent back in a flash, his goal tally would be worth every penny to a team that hasn`t scored too many.

Hope this is true, Newcastle need to thicken there squad out in numbers so we don't have to result to our youth players during injuries

16 Jan 2013 08:31:27
Chelsea have agreed to let West Brom take Romelu Lukaku on loan next season.

16 Jan 2013 08:27:57
Karl Robinson on his way to Blackpool and will be replaced by former boss Paul Ince.

MK Dons have rejected Blackpool's approach to speak to Karl Robinson.

The word here is that Robinson's staying put now - anything further on that please Ed? {Ed003's Note - nothing more to add mate you seem to have covered everything}

MK Dons have refused Blackpool permission to speak to him

16 Jan 2013 08:26:41
Rogic has come to glasgow with celtic after spending time with them in Spain and Central cost mariners have accepted a fee. He will discuss personal term over the next few days

16 Jan 2013 21:15:12
very good player watched him a few times whe he played for australlia under 23s team he is a player which will bring quality and he can open up a defence with a pass

16 Jan 2013 08:21:07
Bristol Rovers have enquired about two Swindon players Cox and Benson, the stumbling block is the wages, Swindon are not prepared to contribute to the wages and Rovers won't pay the money the players are earning.

Luke Rooney also looks to be on his way to Bradford City for a nominal fee.

Hope Luke comes to bradford he's a good player

Maybe you're confusing him with Wayne Rooney ..or longing for the return of Luke O'Brien!

16 Jan 2013 08:20:55
Forest signings

Danny fox 900k
Chris Burke 500k
Luciano Becchio 2mil + Dex
Barry Bannan 3mil
Rob Green 1mil

Would be nice to see these players come in, but very unlikely.
Dex is close to signing a new contract, Greens wages a huge problem, Becchio going to Wigan, can't see Bannan coming either.

If you want Danny Fox you will have to pay a lot more than that!

Why would Bannan leave Villa for Forest? Not a fan of either club, but can't see any reason why he'd want to.

16 Jan 2013 08:10:35
Ryan Fraser has turned down an approach from Huddersfield and will sign for Bournemouth.

Don't think he has turned anyone down yet and its far from a done deal that he will sign for the Cherries.

A fee has been agreed & a fee has been agree'd so it is near a done deal. Having said that yes Huddersfield had intrest but I'm not aware of an approach.

Looks like we could have 2 scotland international u19 players at bournemouth ryan fraser and josh carmichael

AFC Bournemouth are set to hold talks with Aberdeen winger Ryan Fraser.

On Tuesday night reports emerged that AFC Bournemouth had a agreed a fee with Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen for 18 year old winger Ryan Fraser.

As far as I know, Huddersfield hadn't made an approach and merely expressed an interest. However, even a top half league one club like Bournemouth would be a beneficial move for him rather than staying in a backwater like Aberdeen. He'd risk getting hooked on drugs if he stayed much longer

16 Jan 2013 21:17:52
If huddersfield had made an approach for Fraser he would of signed. Why would he choose a l1 side over a championship side? It's a no brainer if you ask me. Ie huddersfield never approached him.

16 Jan 2013 07:55:07
I expect the Forren deal to be done in the next few days, Astori deal is dead and gone. Expect a wide man to be bought and expect a lot of players to be going out on loan to Championship sides for the remainder of the season.

16 Jan 2013 07:53:32
Direct from a source involved with the deal involving Iago Aspas, reading are the only team to actually make a bid for the Chelsea, fulham and qpr target, although it doesn't meet the clubs valuation. Reading expected to make a new bid within the week

16 Jan 2013 07:49:50
BREAKING ASTON VILLA NEWS!!
£15MILL SPENT 3 QUALITY PLAYERS

£12MILL Countinho £3Mill Sissoko Loan to buy of an unknown striker i'm guessing at Phillips or Aug.....anyone know who the mystery 3rd is? Ed?

Thank you Randy Lerner

In ya dreams mate, everyone knows randy lerner won't spend that kind of money

Think your dreaming mate, can't see it myself

Coutinho already stated if he is to leave inter milan it will be for espanyol who he has already been on loan too!
Villa don't have the pulling power or spending power. Lambert only got handful of games to save his job.

Villa haven't got that sort of money to spend on fee's and salaries, Learner may have but Villa haven't.

16 Jan 2013 14:33:44
keep on dreaming

Lerner wants what is best for Villa.
Faulkner is the one who's stripping Villa's assets. Give Lerner till the end of the transfer window & he'll have splashed plenty of cash.

You guys all forget, Lerner sold the Browns for over a billion dollars last year, and has said he is more than willing to spend the money if needed, he spent 120 million with MON

16 Jan 2013 07:47:11
Watford are believed to have secured the services of useful midfielder Jay Tabb

Hope not we already have better

Jay Tabb is on Zola's list, but he hasn't signed

We have much better but could see this happening

16 Jan 2013 07:44:46
Bristol City are going to sign Micheal Johnson to bulk up there midfield if he can prove he fitness and lose the weight so he is not bouncing round the ground starting training next week

Hes going to Sheffield Wednesday

16 Jan 2013 11:45:14
He is through with football, he has today asked the media to leave him alone to help him get over his mental health issues.

16 Jan 2013 13:56:21
they should get johnson

16 Jan 2013 07:28:18
Junior hoilett to stoke in a swap deal for crouch and 3mil heading stokes way

I doubt it # you basically saying crouch is worth about 10mil to QPR, would like this to happen, but stoke we would be the ones giving qpr the money

Qpr will have to pay over the odds if they want a sniff of staying up and they will have to over pay the players to temp them to a club that is properly going be relegated with out a shadow of a doubt

It would be great to get another talented younger player like hoillet signed on a long contract at stoke but I fear the wages will be to high I can't believe that im now wanting us to keep Jones and Jerome and sell crouch

16 Jan 2013 05:45:01
David Bentley Looks set to join Blackburn Rovers again. Bentley currently on loan in Russia wants to come back to England. Rovers Deal is another loan to view perm

16 Jan 2013 04:49:59
So looks like Karl Robinson is thinking of leaving MK Dons. he has been a good manager but can't understand that if he thinks we will go up why would you be interested in a struggling Championship side. i supposed loyalty is hard to come by these days.

An mk dons fan questioning loyalty in football? Lol

If they offer to double his wages then he'll be gone. Loyalty still exists, but only for the almighty £££. I'd just be worried who we ended up with instead. And no, he hasn't been a "good" manager, why are we still in poxy League 1??

If he wants to go let him we need to freshen things up at stadium mk any way and we still have Mick Harford

Rumour has it Paul ince was lined up to replace robbo if he left which on tv news two mins ago Mk dons have not allowed blackpool to talk to Robbo so loyalty does exsist!! and who ever said that comment about mk dons fans being loyal is a joke ! i was born in south london and followed Wimbledon F.C most of my life till we lost all our money and had to move which i stayed with the club as 50 miles is nothing from south london tbh! and i was not gunna support a team playing sunday league football! :)

Karl Robinson will not be leaving MK Dons for Blackpool.

Our Stadium, Facilities and Players are all better than Blackpool have to offer.

Robbo your a TRUE DON now lets get promoted, bring on QPR

MK Dons has rejected a approach

He's not leaving he said he don't want to and mk dons announced they rejected blackpool case over.

He is staying!! Bring on QPR!

16 Jan 2013 17:03:21
MK Dons fans geting a bit carried away. Your players are not as good as Blackpool's or you wouldn't be in league one. Dont think Blackpool are a struggling championship side either, They have been in the prem and made the play off final last season.

Mick Harford? I thought you said you wanted to "freshen things up"? Robbo is a decent manager but we haven't got the class or depth to achieve promotion. We're facing many, many years marooned in this poxy division. The Championship is just a pipe dream unless some serious investment takes place. Get used to it guys, Winkelman hasn't got the required dosh.

Robbo was never going to leave. He has said on a number of occassions that he is building something at MK and he has no intention of leaving it half finished.
I only hope that Pete repays that loyalty with a little extra cash (not sure where from but..) so Robbo can go out and get one or two more players to help us get promoted. A left midfielder and maybe another right back.

"he hasn't been a "good" manager" what planet do you live on; for a cub with no money we compete at this level exceptionally well. We might have been promoted earlier had we not been up against clubs like Leeds United, Sheff Wednesday, Sheff Utd, Huddersfield, Charlton all of whom can lay claim to average home attendances at least twice what we get at the Don's. If we had 16,000 every home game we could probably afford a few better players. Robbo is doing a brilliant job all things considered.

Karl Robinson isn't perfect but he's been the youngest manager in the Football League for three seasons. During that time he's build a squad on a shoestring budget that has consistently been in the Play Off places. But what he has over most other managers is LOYALTY and a love of his club. Robbo will be here for some time yet

I think we have a better stadium and maybe better facilities than Blackpool, but I have to admit we don't quite have the players of the same calibre as Blackpool...Eardley, Cathcart, Ince, Matt Phillips and Robertson would probably all quite comfortably walk into our team.

16 Jan 2013 03:37:11
QPR are said to have joined the chase for Central Coast Mariner's 20 year old attacking midfielder Tom Rogic. The young Australian has made 4 appearances for his country and is also being chased by Celtic. The pair of clubs will now fight it out over the youngsters signature also Celtic are said to be closer than the London club.

-Ranger90

In Glasgow with celtic to sign a contract

Signed for Celtic this morning.

16 Jan 2013 10:59:56
already signed for celtic

16 Jan 2013 02:32:04
Danny Welbeck could be joining Southampton on loan till the end of the season from Manchester Utd. All depends on Utd bringing in a striker who as of yet, is unamed at present.

Watch this space-Press conference expcated tomorrow to confirm this along with the signing of the young centre back from Molde in Norway. {Ed015's Note - Forren?}

Isn't Forren going to Southampton F.C?

Loans are not what Saints do. Forren yes, Welbeck no.

Fergie won't let wellbeck leave at this point of the season, needs all his fire power for wrestling the tittle off city! Unless he signs a top forward first. Sorry saints fans

Welbeck who has starts for United going to a struggling team? Have a day off! Welbeck just signed a new contract and regularly plays so why would he go to Southampton?

"Sorry saints fans"....Oh don't be sorry, he's very overrated. Forren should complete his move today/tomorrow to Saints. More to come

Welbeck is not joining us we don't need another striker! and fergie will probably want 4 for the rest of the season! NOT HAPPENING

LOL!.. If we get Welbeck I'll streak at St Marys.

No chance fregie rates welbeck to highly and started the weekend ahead of Chico wouldn be surprised if rooney goes in the summer though...

YES...WE...DO!!! (need a striker)

We dont want him/dont need him

Saints will loan players (before they buy) if they have to.....Guly & Jos were both loan players.

I doubt saints will sign wellbeck but a loan would make sense incase the worst happens

Again welbeck is overated and offers southampton nothing, we have 4 strikers at the club and we wouldn't want to loan him, especially one with such a low goal return

Our best formation is 4-4-1-1 with Ramirez playing off Lambert. With Rodriguez, Guly, Mayuka and Lee plus Billy Sharp on loan as back up we do not need to sign a striker!!

16 Jan 2013 01:43:02
Southampton to take Fulham's John Arne Riise for rest of season as experienced back up for Luke Shaw.
This will then allow Danny Fox to leave the club on loan

I doubt the saints would take Riise if Fox was only going out on loan. I imagine we'd do it for cover if we were selling Fox though.

That will never happen

Doesn't Riise play first team for Fulham, if so why would they let him go on loan? Also surely rather than loaning fox, we may as well sell him as we have as good younger players in back up

Don't see it. Forren (if signed) can play LB.

Riise has fallen out with Martin Jol and has been told he can leave this month. This could be a good move if fox is on the way out and could also help Forren Settle in as they're both Norweigan!

Riise and Jol have had a bust up and Jol has told him that if the right offer comes in he can leave.

Riise isn't the player he used to be. Don't get your hopes up if you signed him

If we let Fox go it will be a massive mistake! he has one the best left foots in the business, and luke shaw will go soon to Arsenal!! WE NEED TO KEEP FOX!!

Id have riise all day long much superior player to fox

Luke Shaw will not be going to Arsenal any time soon. He's signed a long term contract agreement with Southampton which will see him sign a 5 year deal upon turning 18. He is very happy at Southampton and loves the club having been here from a very early age. Plus he has the benefit of regular first team football. Selling Fox would not be a mistake as long as we got good cover. Fox isn't a great left back anyway he is poor at defending.

16 Jan 2013 01:28:29
Any kalou rumours with west ham is it a possibility still would be perfect at the hammers

16 Jan 2013 01:19:26
Once you have signed Frankie Sutherland, Portsmouth Fc seeks 4 more players, be they: Wes Fletcher, Scott Allan, Scott Malone and Sotiris Balafas All in loans

16 Jan 2013 01:19:07
Paul Benson looks set to leave Portsmouth after his loan will not be renewed. Benson looks set to go straight to Cheltenham, but do not rule out a late bid from Oxford who have been watching the striker in recent weeks.

Heard Benson is going to Cheltenham, so there is some truth to this with Paolo Di Canio saying he has to go to free up wages.

16 Jan 2013 01:16:50
Pompey could be set for a double swoop. Blackburn Rovers manager Michael Appleton looks set to send Jordan Slew and Robbie Cotton loan to Fratton Park.

Appleton will help his former club out, who are in desperate need of players. Slew and Cotton would get games and also Appy sees this as vital for the players to gain match exp.

16 Jan 2013 01:14:53

Portsmouth look set to sign Luke Garbutt on loan from Everton for a month. Pompey are without a left back after Jon Harley left the club.

Garbutt would be cheap and if he gets games Everton would be happy to let him stay for longer than a month.

He's recovering from an injury at the moment

16 Jan 2013 01:10:25
Tom Rogić, AM, Central Coast Mariners to burnley

Wrong. He'll be heading to Celtic.

Already signed with Celtic

He is going to Celtic. Fee has been agreed to

16 Jan 2013 01:09:40
Portsmouth look set to sign Kevin Long on loan from Burnley. Long looks set to return to Fratton Park but only when Gabor Gyepes leaves which likely with Brighton stepping up their interest in the centre half.

16 Jan 2013 01:08:35
Portsmouth are interested in signing recently released Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson.

Johnson is expected to train at Pompey after being recommended by Benjani who is also training with the blues.

Not a chance in hell

16 Jan 2013 01:07:34
Ashley Harris has been subjected to a bid from Premier League strugglers Reading. Hope Akpan has signed from Crawley and Reading want to add Harris who has featured for Portsmouth this season.

The deal could entail Reading paying Portsmouth 500K with adds on for the striker but loaning him straight back so he gets games.

Harris is thought to be keen on the move and has been given his blessing by the club management to move on.

Subjected to? A move to Reading isn't that bad!

I heard that Saints were interested in this player and he was keen to go!

Harris from what I hear doesn't want to leave, but could be forced to leave to keep the club afloat.

Reading don't want anymore league one players

17 - Keene
9 - Connolly

Substitutes:
1 - Smith
34 - Butler

Malone is needed at Millwall. John Marquis an Shaun Batt need some game time.

Amazing that they have a squad number but haven't even signed yet!

Btw Shane Lowry of Millwall is banned or 2 games so expect to see Malone start at LB for Millwall

I will pay for malones cab to fratton park one worse players i have ever seen and i have seen a lot of terrible players in a millwall shirt

A loan would be good for Scott Malone but he won't be going on loan because Millwall need cover at the Left Back Postion

Nathan Tyson to MILLWALL on loan for rest of season.

Barnsley are wanting to sign summer target Oliver Norwood on loan from Huddersfield.

Haha, nice one :O) you should be a Britains got talent :OP Hammill to return to HTAFC by the weekend, loan with a view to permanent in summer

Not a chance our best player by far

No chance of Norwood.....maybe Adam hammill coming back on loan......earnshaw is 100% non starter, off to shef wendy

Why would we send Norwood to the Dingles when we are in a relegation battle with them. Not a chance.

We've only just signed the lad for £400k from Man U! Fair enough his form has dipped since he got Ronaldos shirt after the Portugal game but he has bags of talent & Grayson rates him highly, so doubt we'll let him leave, also doubt Barnsley have the funds to buy him anyway!

Want doesn't get, why would they let their rival for relegation have any of their players.

Has anyone told Simon Grayson we are in a relegation battle with Barnsley!

If he hasn't spotted it yet he soon will!!

16 Jan 2013 00:37:35
Barnsley are wanting to sign Marc Pugh

Can they afford him? He's about 6 weeks into a new 3 and a half year contract

16 Jan 2013 00:21:33
Leeds in talks with west brom over the signing of england U21 defender craig dawson a fee of around 1 million is thought to of been agreed between the two clubs

Dawson will only leave on loan not on a permanent deal

Which person posted this !! Wba have turned down bigger offers for this player - who has a long future at The Baggies.
£1m. Your having a laugh.

Clarke will not sell Dawson as he is part of his plans for the future.

I bought this guy on Fifa13. He is emmense now and an England Regular. Other than that, I have heard good things about him and his rise up to premiership level.

Bull. Clarke has said the only way Dawson would be leaving is on loan and we don't want to sell him. Even if we did he would cost a hell of a lot more than 1 million!

Kevin Blackwell has 2 loan signings lined up
when Bury's transfer embargo is lifted in the next 48 hours

Danny Pugh from Leeds
Kayode Ofejayi from Rotherham

He's also looking to sign Gareth Owen who was recently released by Port Vale

Odejayi has been in the Rotherham team so can't see that happening

Ode has not been in the team and been told he can leave

I doubt Blackwell will sign anyone who couldn't play for a League Two team, as he has frozen out Marcus Marshall for that very reason

Played last saturday v barnet.

Odejayi told he can leave on a free mate

Hey Ed
Any updates on the Ince story
Liverpool Swansea .... {Ed001's Note - no change, no deal with Blackpool has been done yet, probably just waiting on a new manager first.}

Becchio is on his way to Norwich City FC

Correction, he's Wigan bound and was at the game tonight. Deal should be in time for him to make debut vs Sunderland on Saturday.

Wrong on both accounts, he was actually in leeds with a virus after being sent home by the club doctor

Good he can go wigan, don't want him at norwich, were past buying championship players now surely....

Thank god he isnt coming to norwich. very average player

Simeon jackso to wolves and butterfield gone to palace on emergency loan! Cutting the fringe players??

I know this is a norwich rumour site but I should imagine remy of qpr will be laughing every week on the way to the bank! Over £70k a week! Relegation cause in there? Got to be as the hoops will go down! I am a NCFC fan who hates QPR

Totally agree. Distinctly average

Butterfield a 'fringe player'? Havin' a laugh. Great prospect. Will be in and around the 1st team in a couple of years.

Well he is a fringe player at the moment mate...

15 Jan 2013 22:59:44
Norwich player, Jacob Butterfield to go back out on loan for the remainder of the season.

Crystal Palace

Hes going to crystal palace

Signed a loan deal at Palace until 19 February

Till Feb 19 not remainder of season

Good, he was awful when he came on against Peterborough!

15 Jan 2013 22:58:33
Lots of talk surrounding Crystal Palace's David Wright to Gillingham, with Jack Payne coming the other way. Was wondering, Gillingham fans, what do you make of Jack Payne, is he even in your first team or just a youth player? What position does he play?

Jack Payne is a terrific young player. Midfilder and has played full-back. Only 21 but been a regular in the league team for about 3 years. POTY for us in 2010 I believe. Contracted till 2015 so if you keep him in the summer expect to pay top dollar. Not having his best season for us this year but still too good for L2.

Yeah gillingham fans talk up

One of our top players....shame to see him go to be honest...

16 Jan 2013 19:08:01
Different class, will be a better deal for Palace than it will be for Gillingham

15 Jan 2013 22:50:16
Everton want young Wigan CB Roman Golobart.

Hands Off! He's not for sale and is a future first teamer for us.

15 Jan 2013 22:47:37
Wigan to sign Becchio from Leeds soon.

He was in the stands watching us tonight, deal should be done by Friday.

He must have a twin then as he was home in leeds last night

Neil Warnock & Leeds United's team doctor confirmed that he was home ill last night not at the Wigan game.

Funny that because warnock and the club were pretty sure he was ill from night before

Yeh, he was at the game... Don't think so mate, he was round mine having tea and biscuits!

Warnock is clearly not going to admit that his best forward is watching another team. The illness is only a cover up to avoid uproar from supporters

Leeds supporter for 60years-you are welcome to him -he is absolutely useless cannot wait to see the back of him.

If Becchio IS wanting to play in Premier League, then he would at least sign for a club that will be playing Premiership football NEXT season, so no chance at a Wigan move. . . and seriously, would anyone trail all the way to Bournemouth on a freezing cold night just to see another mediocre team (who even lost to BRADFORD) play in a cup game?

Why would he cover it up? If Becchio went fans would obviously know he was lying & would get twice as much of an uproar.

Becchio himself is quoted as saying he was at home. that's from the doctor at Elland Road, who SAW the man that SAME evening, and confirmed he was sick everywhere. Unless he has a magic carpet which he doesnt getting vomit on, Luciano Becchio was not at that game. End.
wally

It was actually Becchio himself who said that he was home in Leeds last night after he heard all the rumours

Becchio so over rated. Works hard for team but has a useless touch no footballing brain and struggles to hold the ball up as well as a 6ft plus striker should.

Nice to see some jolly Leeds fans on here, don't think we want Becchio anyway & if we did we wouldn't be paying anything like the money that's being mentioned for him!

True or not it makes no difference, Wigan are in the prem and Leeds are not . We areonly a small club that have been in the prem for 8 years . Stayup or go down, Wigan and proud . We aren't down yet andlets be honest we've been going down for the last

Id love to keep becchio but there is no way that he would go to a team whos goal each season is to finish just above the relegation zone. Iv played infront of bigger crowds than what Wigan produce so i hope he was at the game and realised how small a club wigan is! {Ed034's Note - that small club you talk about have been in the prem for how long and and you were in it last when??

15 Jan 2013 22:45:22
went to the Bristol away game and the new C.E.O Sam
Rush was mixing in with the Derby away fans and stated that Will Hughes would not be sold in the January transfer window, that's why they have put a £10m price tag on him. All this media talk is just speculation.

I also went to the bristol game and yes he did state that Hughes is going nowhere in january. But we could lose him in the summer

15 Jan 2013 22:38:00
Just left the crewe afc game and there was a man in a Crystal Palace Jacket sat scribbling on an Ipad and constantly using his mobile.......Watch this space maybe? {Ed001's Note - Holloway was interested in Leitch-Smith in the summer, could be he still is?}

He has got 100 apps and he is only 21 so bring it on!

Oops typed that comment ^^^^ on the wrong rumour i'm talking about payne from gillingham

15 Jan 2013 22:29:33

Saint Ettienne chairman said in an interview that he will not be going anywhere this window as the money being offered doesnt match their evaluation of the player. -Ranger90
