PLYMOUTHS board of directors are holding out for more cash from Ridsdales consortium, whoever they sell to they will lose significant amounts of cash, Ridsdale is biding his time he knows the closer the court date the cheaper the price for Argyle. Ridsdales consortium recently tried to buy Hull city, so their credentials financially must run past say 60 million pounds minimum. Argyle would cost them including the debt 15 million pounds, that would leave Peter Reid with a big warchest, probably not the 45 million shortfall but likely 5 to 10 million pounds. Ridsdale love or loathe always creates a splash, possibly due to his rotund figure, more likely his wallet.(0)(3)

Peter ridsdale on radio 5 live tonight states he is fronting a bid to buy, not invest in plymouth argyle. the consortium has never been involved in football before, but recently tried to buy hull city so they obviously have deep pockets. ridsdale says the reason they are interested in plymouth argyle is because of its massive football potential, all peter ridsdales words. expect either ridsdale or mp greg hands and his russian consortium to buy 100% plymouth argyle. january should see argyles debts cleared and new owners pumping in millions for a promotion bid.(6)(4)

Plymouth Argyle are in more trouble than first thought. The club was thought to be in £9m debt but is actually closer to £15m, with attendances dropping and fans not behind manager Peter Reid they are slowly falling away from the club. Argyle need investment quickly.
Bristol Rovers are also in trouble, Paul Trollope was relieved of his duties today and the club will not pay compensation for another manager so depending on how the caretaker manager does he is likely to be appointed til the end of the season. Rovers fans are also staying away from matches and the revenue has dropped significantly, again the club needs some investment. The only other solution is to sell midfielder Chris Lines with Southampton his most likely destination, a £450,000 fee has been mentioned. This would help with Rovers' debts and should help them last to the end of the season.(6)(6)

Man Utd are looking to do a double swoop for Everton pair Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman. Sir Alex Ferguson reckons he would be able to tempt David Moyes into selling the pair for around 12mil plus Michael Carrick. What a load of rubbish - Sven has recenty been linked with the Newcastle, Blackburn and Iran job - and has publicly stated that he is going now where. Why would he want to go to West Ham over Leicester. LCFC have billionaire investment, solid average weekly gates, brilliant infrastructure and acedemy and have attempted to sign Beckham, Santa Cruz and Keane (sign of intent).
