Walsall are in talks with Lee Hughes after he rejected a contract offer from Notts County. He is to play up front with Deeney with new signing, Jones, on the wing.
Junior has also been rumoured to be returning to the bescot/banks. This would be a welcomed arrival to Walsall.
Hutchings wants to bring in a new left back and defender to make up his first team. Smith will have to fight it out with the new center back to get into the first team.

The claims that Young is in a villa nightmare or has fallen out with MON are completely made up, every single post match interview, MON singles out Young as their ''genius'' in midfield. On the rumours front, Berg has snubbed both villa and spurs in favour of a move to the bundesliga.
Rounding up the rumours of all the big teams! Arsenal are expected to turn their attention to Blaise Matuidi, who Wenger reckons can become a force in central midfield for just £2.5m. They also have an eye on a replacement for Adebayor, who looks set for a £22m move to City, and that is Jean–Pierre Gignac from Toulouse, who could cost up to £12m but is a goal machine. Chelsea are looking to sign one or two big signings, and these two could be Wesley Sneijder and Sergio Aguero or Alexandre Pato. Sneijder could be available for £15m, as Real Madrid are clearing out. Aguero is a real poacher, and at 21 is definitely worth £30m+. Pato however, would suit the prem more, hes strong and quick, but could cost up to £50m. Liverpool will only sign a player if Alonso or Mascherano leave, and that player could indeed be van der Vaart, who also will be available for about £17m. City to sign Adebayor and Tevez by the end of the week, but will fail in bid to sign John Terry, and will instead look to sign Lescott or Lucio. Man Utd, despite Fergies comments, could be forced to look at new recruits such as Douglas Costa, "the new Ronaldinho" for about £15m. Finally, Inter Milan will sign Deco n Carvalho for about £12m, and will offload Balotelli and Mancini on loan to West Ham or Serie A clubs.

It's clear that Fergie still wants both Aguero and Douglas Costa at the club, but he's unwilling to pay the absurd prices he's been quoted. Simply put, Atletico want as much for Aguero as Real Madrid paid for a Ballon D'Or, CL, and WC champ in Kaka. If Fergie can get Aguero for mid 40s and if he can get Costa for around 10, then expect him to pull the trigger on both.

Rangers News
Charlie Adam is stalling over a move to Blackpool after the seasiders apparently refused to match his current Ibrox wage and find him accomodation outwith the East coast town. Adam now looks likely to hold out for a move to rival Lancashire club Preston North End, who have matched Blackpool's £500k bid for the 23 year old midfielder.
Barry Ferguson is interesting Birmingham boss, and foremer Rangers gaffer Alex McLeish, however financial constraints and doubts over Ferguson's fitness could scupper any potential move from the Blues.
Sporting Lisbon central defender Tonel is set to sign for Rangers in the coming weeks after personal terms were agreed over the weekend, a transfer fee must now be decided, however Rangers will hold out until one or two fringe stars secure moves away from Ibrox to prevent paying unnecessary wages.
And finally, Rangers could turn to a golden oldie to bolster their squad for next season. Falkirk's Neil McCann is a former Ibrox favourite and is on the brink of a surprise return to the club where he spent the best years of his career. A break down in relations at Westfield mean McCann could be made a free–agent and would be offered a pay–as–you–play deal by Walter Smith meaning the deal would benefit player and club greatly. McCann is seen as ideal cover for left midfield as Smith tracks Hearts' Andrew Driver and West Bromich Albion's Chris Brunt, while American star DaMarcus Beasley may have played his last game for the club, interest from Germany and Belgium may see the former Man City and PSV man move back to the continent in search of first team football.

People saying vennegoor was rubbish last year – he was injured for months it was obvious he wouldn't score much. when v of h is fit he scores goals simple.
How league was lost. Rangers won it fair enough but if you look at it – we had only 1 experienced striker fit (mcdonald) V of H n Samaras were injured and the only striker scoring was young sheridan then we loaned him out. If we would have invested in a striker the league would have been won as we wouldn't have thrown away the league with 0–0 draws.
& Players like Killen, McCourt and Flood have all been getting stick recently from some fans and I just don't get it. How can you judge people on 5 minute substitute appearances. Strachan never gave them a chance – the fans are too quick to judge.
Even people saying Riordan was rubbish and never "made it" at celtic whatever that means. He never got a chance neither and even going back to hibs as a left midfielder most of the time he managed 12 goals on first year back.

With Hutton, Chimbonda and Gunter, Naughtons arrival would allow Chimbonda and Gunter to leave. Both players have been approached and want to move.
With Huddlestone in the best shape of his life, and Palcios, Corluka, Jenas and O'Hara to partner Modric, rumours of Sissoko and Capoue look daft. Barcelona's Israeli wonder kid Gai Assulin has today revealed he will be leaving Barcelona for a move to the EPL. He then goes on to tell me about a Uruguayan who's fronting a buy–out with some American partners, and a possible silent Russian partner. Claimed it was $180 mil, would be finalised before the new season, and could push us well into top 6 territory . ."money won't be an issue. ."
I told him to fuck right off, but he swore up and down the deal was being done. He knew all about Straumur etc.
I'm still very sceptical, but he seemed to know a lot about it, and had no real interest in footy outside of that.
