The remaining three British teams and Republic of Ireland will lose their manager in the next two months. Fabio Capello will step down as England manager after being unhappy with some contract restrictions, Gary Speed will have talks with an un-named club with a contract expected to be sealed in the next fortnight, Giovanni Trapattoni will step down as Rep of Ireland boss due to health reasons and Craig Levein is understood to have handed his letter of resignation in to the Scottish FA. All four will join Nigel Worthington, who has just resigned from the Northern Ireland national team as leaving a home nation.
England will approach Benfica for manager Jorge Jesus to take over as manager for the Euros with a view to a three year deal. Jesus has done a superb job with the Portuguese side since joining in 2009 and also made his name at Braga.
With the unexpected loss of Speed, Wales are keen to bring in Hartlepool boss Mick Wadsworth after the Barnsley born manager attracted interest of a number of teams after a superb start at the League 1 club this season.
Republic of Ireland are set to approach Tottenham coach Joe Jordan to be their new boss. Ireland are wanting somebody who can bring some discipline to the side, just like Trapattoni did. Jordan can also keep his job at Spurs with it not being a full time job. Jordan is keen on getting into management but not with a club side, until he leaves Tottenham mutually.
Scotland are expected to appoint Leicester assistant Derek Fazackerley on a two year deal after the very experienced coach was contacted late last night.
Finally, Northern Ireland are looking at the possibility of bringing in Francois Zahoui from the Ivory Coast. The inexperienced boss is wanted by the Northern Irish FA after an impressive campaign with the 49 year old known for his fluent passing football.(5)(33)I think it might be best all round if you got some sleep, whooo!Did you ever work for NEWS OF THE WORLD, biggest loadWhere do they dream up this complete rubbish.

was sold for 300k 9 months ago, he's 27/28, injury prone, never played in the Premiership, inconsistent, lazy...

Portsmouth are expected to name Ray Wilkins or Dave Jones as there new manager after Cotterill has admitted he could be leaving to go Nottingham Forest in the next week.(9)(18)Ray Wilkins would be greatHope this is not true i like Ray Wilkins as a pundit, i would have to start hating him being a Saints fan.Wilkins is short on Mgt experience so Dave Jones might be a safer option. Chris Coleman also being mentioned.Theres no truth in this story.

11 Oct 2011 20:35:00
Liverpool are willing to offer Bolton cash plus Danny Wilson and/or Maxi Rodriguez in exchange for Gary Cahill this January. Nathan Eccleston and Fabio Aurelio will not be offered new deals and will both be allowed to leave the club next summer when their contracts are up along with Stephen Darby who is currently out on loan. Liverpool are planning big changes and Joe Cole,Alberto Aquilani,Dani Pacheco,David Amoo,Emmanuel Mendy,Brad Jones,Martin Skrtel and unfortunately Dirk Kuyt are looking likely to be sold next summer.Eden Hazard is Comolli and Daglish's number 1 target as Comolli said, "We have identified targets. If there's a possibility of us getting a world-class player, we will have the backing." but they are also looking admirably towards Angelo Ogbonna,Gaston Ramirez and Gonzalo Higuain.(15)(16)Be careful ed 1 may tell you your having wet dreams with that wish list! {Ed001's Note - I think he is, there is very little chance of Cahill ending up at Liverpool in Jan, more likely Chelsea, possibly Spurs.}Was on about the last few names, ed, if you can dish it I can take it, but it works both ways, I do have a really good informant at whl, I'm spot on with regards to what I posted last night, you gave one of your posters hits own page, due to his rumours, did he get anything right during the summer? good luck fella {Ed001's Note - if you say so mate, but it doesn't tally with anything I have heard from within WHL, there was money there last January but not much this summer. It was pulled out from under 'Arry due to the stadium, it will be the same in January as well I am told. As for Macca, he did get a number of things correct, but he was given the page to save us answering endless questions regarding his posts, not because of the truth or otherwise of his posts. The last few names? You mean Hazard who it is known Comolli has put forwards as a signing, Ramirez, who Liverpool have had watched repeatedly and has both Coates and Suarez in his ear, and Higuain, who Liverpool tried to get in the summer but Madrid were not willing to deal then.}They were told to build the npp ( northumberland park project) they would have to pay themselves there so the reason levy opted for the olympic park ( a lot cheaper), but due to the rioting harringay council need totenham in totenham, I did a course near
seven sisters and had to travel from the angel
edmonton all the way along totenham high road,
and where they rioted is like something
resembling a war zone, but now due to
government funding within the area harringay
council can now release funds for the stadium,
which will release funds for spending, domino
effect, the ground will be turned around 90
degrees due to listed buildings on the high road next to bill nicholson way. Reports within the club are that harry has gone come the summer, my contact has stated a deal had been done regarding a new manager, four names had been passed on to me, tim sherwood, david moyes, pepe guardiola & carlo ancelotti (sp) and that daniel levy spent a lot of time in meetings in spain! This is what I'm led to believe, I'm also led to believe armstrong was the first man on the moon! But I don't believe that one! But I do believe the new manager is one of those four, and I would personally rule out sherwood but he will stay on as assistant manager? You forgot to add Messi and Ronaldo as liverpool players in jan... your source must be HP mate.Hazard?
He's not joining Liverpool or Arsenal.
You are a complete nutter! {Ed002's Note - The quote from Comolli is a year old and was said when Roy Hodgson was manager.}

11 oct 2011 19:44:50

The board at Bristol rovers are meeting to discuss the future of Paul buckle, having already signed 18 players since august it's thought he doesn't know what direction he's going in.The boards main concern is it could lead the club into administration.(12)(4)Yeh i heard Buckle could be replaced by Russell Slade as hes about to leave Leyton OrientI am a Swindon fan and know people at Rovers, they are going to stick with Buckle until the end of December, if they aren't up near the playoffs then an ex Rovers player will be in chargeIf the club goes into admin, what then for the proposed new stadium at Filton UWE?

11 Oct 2011 18:04:13
middlesbrough to battle leicester city in january for grant holt cost around 2 million(3)(20)Middlesborough would lose a fight involving money, but Holt won't go to either club, so it's irrelevant.I know leicester are named with every striker outside the top six in the prem but that over rated fat ? really? (not a leicester fan so no axe to grind)Why would Norwich accept a shoddy offer for a tenacious, determined man that has had a huge hand in taking them to the Barclays Premier League. Plus, if Norwich were to sell him they would not accept an offer under £5m.

Grant Holt is a Norwich City legend in the making and I think taht they will finish 14th this season and Blackburn, Wolves and Wigan to be relegatedFans have their favourites and that's totally understandable, but thinking Holt is worth £5m when he can't even get into the team is total nonsense. He may have played a big part in the promotion season, but that was then. This season he's hardly played, 4 games (2 as sub) doesn't make him worth £5m.

It's rubbish anyway, Leicester have four good strikers already at the club and another (Waghorn) out on loan. Sven will get money to strengthen in January if he needs it (according to the local paper) and Grant Holt wouldn't strengthen the side, he'd go straight onto the bench.

11 Oct 2011 18:00:54
Corinthians have sent officials to Manchester to secure the signature of Carlos Tevez for around £35m and I expect this will be the biggest deal of the winter window unless real finally land Neymar.(7)(12)I believe edu was in london the other day and said they have lost interest due to his actions the other weekThey are still interested at the right price

11 Oct 2011 15:44:17
Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote is causing serious interest from Chelsea. Andre Villas Boas is keen on making a bid for the Ivory Coast player in January in a bid worth around £20 million.(10)(17)£20m .. you mean £2m?Probably Newcastle will give him a free transfer......again.Moneybags Chelsea but £20 c'mon!Tiote turned down Chelsea in the summer, why would he think, hang on, actually I want to go now? Some people chat sh13 on here. And yeah, at least 20 mil, they bid more than that in the summer, or so we are led to believe.Ha mike cashly would av sold 4 5 mill if the offer was on the table geordie jokers

Chris Kirkland will start in goal for Doncaster on friday against Leeds, Rovers also hope to tie up the loan signing of Frederic Piquionne before the game(16)(6)Easy win for Leeds with that donkey between the sticksJelous leeds fan haha hes better than lonergran just wish youd shut up n get on with it , heard same rumour bout kirkland from rovers lottery guy jjBetter than Lonergan you're having a laugh? Lonergan been scouted by Everton whilst Kirkland is loaned out to a bottom 3 Championship side? Let that speak for itself.I think the resident genius missed the obvious mistake, he seems to think that Kirkland is good... if he is so good, why is he out on loan for the second consecutive season? He went to Leicester last year and Sven couldn't get rid of him fast enough! He didn't even complete his loan in fact because, surprise surprise, he got injured. He still managed to conceed a shedload of goals though.

I really wouldn't try to brag about signing him, people will laugh. Can only judge Lonergan from when I saw him play my team Ipswich this season and he looked very suspect in that game. Altough heard he is a decent keeper.Decent he is the best goalie in the championship and in the top 3 english goalies at the moment. oh kirkland will be best in league next year if he stays wi dons as they will be div 1 team

chorley white

Steve Cotterill, manager of Portsmouth, in discussion with Nottingham Forest regardingthe Manager's position, Portsmouth owners CSI are drawing up a list of possible replacements that include two coaches with no previous experience in the UK, Dave Jones,Lawrie Sanchez and Avram Grant.(15)(7)Please, please, please keep Cotterill at Fratton krap - this could mean they'd drop to L1 by chrimbo, the bookies pay out early on my sizable bet for relegation and the kids would get nice prezzies.Thats 3 coaches all with experience in the Uk you have mentionedTo early to draw up candidates for pompey, but im hearing csi have hefty ambitions for portsmouth fc, and that curbishley, o neil, and dave jones are being lined up, but time will tell i guess i just hope the worzels gone by then, hes useless and would fit in at forest!! HoofMark Robins is going to be next Portsmouth managerGuess thats why there is a delay appointing new Bristol City manager

Gary Doherty to sign as Norwich manager as Paul Lambert signs 3 year deal as Scotland manager. Compensation paid to charlton will be £100,000.(9)(25)I have heard this as well.....

Source:
South London PressSo levein gets scotland through to play offs and loses job, dont think so pal !
ballyboyThing is scotland are not going to get into the play offs are they spain could stay at home and scotland still wouldnt be able to beat them dont think so Pal !Who would want to have the lack of success created by the league 2 standard team that is Scotland tarnishing there name. Lambert is faaaar too good for Scotland. I should think he would prefer a solid foundation with a decent chance of success….maybe Trinidad and Tobago?Scotland...play offs. LMAO. LoL!Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha good oneScotland only have the expectation of getting there this time we've failed. England's expectation is to win the competition, only a suspect russian linesman has prevented a complete failure on that front. dont forget scotland were the first to defeat the 1966 world champions on their own patchThe above post is simply clutching at straws. England is the King of the home nations and always will be. There will be times, like the side that beat the 1966 world champions, that you get a result against us, and then live on that dream for the next 40 years or so. Scotland, Wales and the 2 Irelands wouldn't even be able to topple Englangs UK dominance if you conbined the teams and we could also give you a 2 player allowance from any other country (messi and ronaldo if you like) and you'd still get nowhere near us.

Take this guys rumour for what it is, pointless! Scotland and teams like them (Wales and the 2 Irelands) need stability f they are going to reach the finals of any major tournament. Rep Ireland were cheated by the French (which i love, because Ireland would only laugh if that happpened to us).

Swapping and Changing managers is nnot good for the best nations, make of this what you will, but for the crappy little nations with mediocre players (Bale - Wales, Ramsey - Wales, Fletcher - Scotland, Given - Ireland apart) will never do anthing unleess they have stability. Try and emulate Ireland first, then you may sneak the play offs

Walker is worth far more than that crock. So....no deal.Leeds the only United LOLHaha Leeds fan but did you not see this was post about prem sides keep looking for championship ones , and why would one of best up and comming players in England be swapped for( one of best players in prem and world ) but now drying up old only one or 2 year to go the he done spurs would never let this happen but saying that why would the only united there is want him with jones smalling fabio pushing for that position

The reason the LUOS has not been updated in a while is not clear, but in the past this has meant something going down at the club, of which the website is permanently in denial. For example, when Max Gradel was sold, there was no update concerning it until a week after, when Bates posted the message about how much he regretted. Whoever posts the updates is hopelessly biased and never seems to pick up on the facts that fans really want to hear about. It has not been updated now in nearly a week; I have checked it regularly. What are we not being told?
1. Is Howson stalling on a new contract?
2. Are there further remonstrations following the Carling Cup clash with Manchester United and the reactions of both sets of fans?
3. Has anyone else stalled on signing a deal?
4. Has there been a training ground bust-up of some sort?

No rumour I'm afraid, but these signs usually aren't good.
wally(1)(5)What are you talking about you idiot?? the official site has been updated every day including today. garyd MOTIts been updated mate, but only today, before then it wasnt. You can't deny that our club's site pulls the wool over your eyes with some of its updates.
wallyI go on the official site every day and there are always updates, except over weekends when there is no game on. But i do agree that the club does not always keep us informed about certain information. garyd MOT

Grant Holt is to leave Norwich and head to Leicester for an undisclosed fee at the start of the next transfer window. Holt being one of the Norwich's most saleable assets will depart to increase the available transfer funds come January when Norwich look to make the signings that will ensure Premiership survival.

While some Norwich fans may be dismayed by the sale of the clubs talisman, after two highly successful seasons with the Norfolk club and many memorable performances. The board and Paul Lambert aim to pull off a piece of transfer magic that would take attention away from Holt's departure. With an audacious bid to lure Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe, who is yet to claim a regular starting place this season at White Heart Lane to Carrow Road.

Norwich are to risk the big money deal in a bid to ensure goals that could be vital in helping the club to avoid the drop first time round. With the Norwich strikers (Holt, Martin, Morrison and the injured Vaughan) presently struggling to find consistent goal scoring form in the Premiership, the club will look to Defoe's proven prowess in front of goal to keep them up.

Although if Norwich are unable to guarantee the signature of Defoe prior to the opening of the January transfer window, Holts transfer to Leicester will be postponed until Norwich have tied up the services of an experienced Premiership goal scorer like Lois Saha or Peter Odemwingie.

(Both only being examples of possible alternative targets.)
________________________________________________________________________________________

Please, behave, Defoe no chance, Holt i can see leaving for the championship if he doesnt get a run before xmas but chances are is that he will. Holt is a very level headed Pro who has "been around" and knows the business to well to make a rash career decision like that. I think that NCFC have kept some money aside for January. In fact i am sure D McNally is shrued and studies the history of the game very well.... The season changes in January and i think 2-3 signings is well within the thinking. I am also sure they have 10 names on there list all of which would have to want to play for the club or at least want to prove themselves at Prem Level... Whats Defoe got to prove... For me go get Charlie Austin / Nicky Maynard both would demand 5mill transfers in Jan which i believe will be our budget for a striker(4)(12)£5m for Nicky Maynard? At one time yes, but not now, not now that he's struggling in a piss poor team and not a chance because he's out of contract at the end of the season and will either sign a pre-contract in January, or will walk for free at the end of the summer. Bristol City took a gamble and it's backfired, they'll go down, Maynard will leave for free, nuff said. Can people stop assuming that Leicester will just throw silly money at everyone. We picked up Bamba for peanuts and is worth 3 mill now, Nugent on a free, peltier for no money, Kasper was a bargain at just over 1 mill and Fernandes on a season loan. Its only Matt Mills that has grabbed all of the limelight and he has now turned into a rock..3 clean sheets in a row against 3 top 6 teams!Holt to Aston Villa for £3m more likely.

Kenny awaits deal for 'new Chicharito'

Liverpool will wait until Mexican teenage striker Marco Bueno turns 18 next year before stepping up their bid to sign him.

The Reds entered the race to sign one of the stars of this summer's World Under-17 championships in July and brought the Pachuca player over for a ten-day trial in August.
But Bueno returned without penning a contract and made his first-team debut for the Mexican top flight club over the weekend.
However, newspaper reports in central America claim Liverpool plan to sign Bueno when he comes of age on March 31 next year.
Andres Fassi, sports vice president of Pachuca, said: "We received a letter last week from Liverpool, who want the player to go there when he turns 18.
"Maybe Liverpool will then make an offer, but that would not be until he is 18 years old, when FIFA's laws allow."
Liverpool are also tracking Gary Cahill,Nolan Roux and Eden Hazard.(13)(13)Well if Liverpools have to wait till nxt yr to sign him it will be too late. Once the big clubs ie Man Utd,Man Cty,Chelsea,Arsenal,Spurs,Newcastle, and of course the spanish and italian clubs show interested then Grumpy Dogleash will miss out.Bueno hasn't played enough international games to get a visa.
So, Unlucky with you're false rumours. And don't worry man u have already looked at him he can not get in to uk yet but man u have looked at options of getting him international clearance with playing for Mexico or getting him in to maybe turkey or Portugal so then could get a uk visa u can not forget that thanks to little pea every player in Mexico wants to play for man u

Following his decision to step down from the Northern Ireland post after a four year tenure, Nigel Worthington is set to discuss terms with the Nottingham Forest board to be installed as Manager!(12)(21)Aston Villa's first team coach , Kevin MacDonald. will be offered the job.I hope neither of them are!Why is it,club managers can do a poor job, either get sacked or resign and walk into another highly paid job,the worlds gone mad.A small club like forest would be lucky to have king Kev MAC

Arsenal will sign Salomon Kalou for around £5m this January, the wing forward has admitted his admiration for Arsene Wenger before who tried to sign him before from Feyenoord before losing out to Chelsea.(18)(28)Good, thats Arsenal down then.Arsene had alway admired him i reckon hed do well playin week in week out the lads a good playerThat just sums up what standard arsenal are aiming for then, no more trophys for another 10 years or so then.........Arsenal have not got a Kal-ou.2 the second poster. WEnger is clueless. He admired Mata and Hazard as well. Kalou is nothing but average. Thats the players we are looking at. Average, rejects and youngsters. Wenger done a great job but he is clearly mad now. I am fully behind "Arsene bye bye" banners. We are 8th highest brand in sports world. What a joke AFC is becoming now. That's unfair maybe the Johnson's Paints TrophyThe problem hear lies with that gunners are not a top club never have been only consistent sides can say that ! Not a chelski or city pay for it what they have been in the past is a top side and out of that the gunners have been one the top sides ever invested side but where a top club will be planning and bringing players in or though the academy where as gunners have to wiat for the side to die out and then bring in a new one and then wiat for that to develop by time it dose players want to leave to win things

A pile of crap?

Bilel was watched by scouts from Celtic at Crewe and I'm told thats not the first time they've looked at him.

Hall? Signing his deal in the summer was a thank you to the Club for standing by him. Too good a player to stay at Roots Hall and he will not sign a second time.

Grant has wanted out for absolutely ages.

Ferdinand will prove this season he's too good for this Club and like Hall won't re-sign again as there will be a host of takers.

All contrinue to be unhappy on the financial and wages side of things but this is diluted by the position in the League of the team.

Weaken the strength of the rose tinted glasses.(4)(12)First of all its not rose tinted its being realistic,

Mohsni has not been scouted and my sources are very high in the club.

Hall is very pleased to be at the club and is unproven at higher level and he knows that so he wont be going.

Grant has been wanted but not at the moment wait until next summer not Jan as you stated.

Ferdinand same as hall.

The club is secure on the finanical side for now.

What ever your sources get some new ones.2 disagree with you.Anyone can come onto this site and click buttons.

Are you a Colchester fan? There are getting to be a lot of snipes at Southend, even though i never see any responses from their fans. Its kind of harsh. Shouldn't Colchester fans pick on Wycombe and that as well? None of Southend's players are on the move, as far as I've heard, and no-one has followed up interest in Grant.

Blues news:

By the end of the month Paul Sturrock and Graham Coughlan will have gone to Plymouth.

Bilel Mohsni will go in January as he'll be out of contract in May.

Anthony Grant To leave in jan oo next summer.

Ryan Hall and Kane Ferdinand to quit next summer with only a year left on their deals.

All four won't sign extentions whether the team goes up or not.(6)(13)What a pile of crap. Why would they go to the bottto club Plymouth and leave potential league 2 champions.

No one is intrested in Grant or Mohnsi

Hall and Ferdinand owe the club so expect them to sign aswell.

Ignore this tripe

Martin Skrtel may be sold in January with Bayern Munich and PSG interested in the player Liverpool will be looking for around £8m. Daglish brought in Sebastian Coates from Nacional for £7m this summer and is planning a £10m raid of Bolton for Gary Cahill this January as he continues the search for Jamie Carragher's successor.(8)(17)£8million? You on something or what? ha ha dreaming scousers....again....after Cahills performances this season and especially on Friday evening I don't think King Kenny should bother.... LFC dodged a bullet by not signing him this summer....
