Still strong rumours linking Dwight gayle the peterbrough loanee who would apparently cost just £200,000 and soon to be out of contract Nigel reo Coker currently of ipswich town with the boro
Other targets are thought to include
Roary Donnelly - swansea loan - talks have taken place
AJ Leicht Smith - Crewe - interest lower league pottential
Harry forester - brentford - Cameron park on loan for rest of season + £3 million and add ons
Nicky bailey is being linked with a move to crystal palace although nothing in this story apart from he is out of contract and not playing as much I see him as a crucial player and can't see him moving to be honest
Interestingly on the downing deal the latest news coming out is that Liverpool are willing to pay £45,000 of his £70,000 a week wages with boro paying the other £25,000 and if a deal is done there would be a clause that would allow boro to purchase downing for £6 million depending on if the club are promoted this season
Downing has apparently told friends and family on Teesside that he still wants to make a go of it at liverpool however if he is to move on then a move back to middlesnrough would be his undoubted first choice

Dundee are looking to bring in Bulgarian forward Anatoli Todorov from Bretsnik 1948, Todorov who just a few years ago was touted to be the national teams next big star has been lost in the shadows. Dundee will make a loan raid for the forward in the hope that he can fire them to safety in the SPL.

Spanish striker/midfielder Oskitz Estefania could be on his way to England. The 26 year old who currently plays for Arandina is being watched by Doncaster Rovers. My sources have lead me to believe that Dean Saunders might make a loan raid for the striker in the hope that he has uncovered a gem. If Oskitz did impress he would leave for a nominal fee.

No, swansea and boro previously had a league cup game, and both emnes and agustein are friends, being both dutch so i dont think it really sugests anything of a transfer
Im sure Laudrup and Mowbury would be happy with their players being out on the lash in mid week. At least post a decent rumour instead of one that has been mentioned time and time again regarding Emnes.

Brighton are attempting to sign David Bentley on loan from Tottenham untill end if season with a view to a permanent move. Bentley currently out on loan to Russian team FC Rostov untill end of December is not in Spurs boss AVB's plans.

Barnsley are set to sack Keith Hill no matter the result with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday after the former Rochdale man has an argument with the board late Sunday evening.
Newcastle Academy Director Joe Joyce is set to be the new manager after General Director approached the Premier League club Monday morning to speak to Joyce.
The former Barnsley player has told the Oakwell club that he would like former Ipswich and Notts County player Jamie Clapham as his right hand man.
Joyce is also keen on bringing in former teammate Gerry Taggart as another member of his new staff.

Mr Blobby would be a perfect replacement for Keith Hill. He has got a better chance keeping us up, Hill is just so negative and never takes blame for anything, just us fans and the palyers.
Barnsley management board dont have the ability to organise this before sacking Hill if it happens.
I wish that the so called fans who keep going on about Barnsley defenders would have a look at the stats. Only 4 teams have a significantly better home goals against than Barnsley and only 8 teams have a significantly better away goals against. Our away goals against figure is the same as Cardiff who top the league! The problem becomes obvious when you look at the goals for column where we have only got a total of 21 - only Peterborough have scored less. We have been desperate for strikers all season, exacerbated by the injury to Davies but as soon as we got Tudgay, Hill then messed about with the defence of Stones, Foster, Wiseman and Goldbourne who had actually being doing OK. If you have a poor attack then it puts all the weight on to the defence and midfield. Still wouldn't be sorry to see Bobby Hassell back in the centre of defence though.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is chasing a winger and a forwad.
The striker is thought to be Blackpool player Thomas Ince. Ince was told he could leave Anfield in the summer of 2011 but Rodgers feels he could add width to his side with a possible return for the 20 year old. The England under 21 international could cost around £7 million after impressing the Premier League club this campaign, being one of the leading scorers in the Championship.
The player is thought to be Leicester attacker Martyn Waghorn. The 22 year old is still regarded as having a lot of potential and has been a long time admirer of Rodgers. A bid of £2 million is expected to be made over the Christmas period.
I am definately not a leciester fan but can tell you that they played 3 million +
for Waghorn and hes in the team so why would they let him go for less especially in the timehes been there hes had numerous england youth call ups.
