Newcastle may target the following players on free transfers Wilfred Bouma, Yildiray Basturk, Morten Gamst Pedersen, Joey O'Brien, Ivan Klasnic, Gavin McCann, Juliano Belletti, George Boateng, Hermann Hreidarsson, Steve Finnan, Ricardo Rocha, Angelos Basinas, John Mensah, Benjani, Mido, Ilan, Kris Boyd, Robert Koren and possibly taddei on a free transfer but unlikely. Obviously not all of these will happen but expect a couple of them to.
Morton Gamst Pederson has ALREADY signed a new contract with Blackburn
John Mensah, Ivan Klasnic and Mido are under contract at clubs.. they were loaned out, and have just returned to the parent club. Why not do some research first so you don't look like a dafty!

Championship big hitters Sheffield United are to add to the signing of the league's best midfielder Leon Britton with the best striker in the league from 2008/09 – Sylvain Ebanks–Blake. In a shock deal, the big spending Blades will send £750,000 and Billy Sharp to Molineux in order to land Ebanks–Blake, and are also looking to sign Andrew Surman and Greg Halford, possibly on loan deals. Another target is League Two journeyman Drewe Broughton, to add a touch of flair up front.

Michael Easterbrook's post on the state of events at LFC is intelligently written and, largely, credible.
Despite being a United fan I am not one of those who have suggested that LFC is about to go bust or that doom and gloom beckon. A club with LFC's history and following is always going to be resurrected eventually.
The doubts I have about this post are:–
1. That G&H have reached a stage where they would accept a sensible offer. The rich don't pay over the odds for anything and the figures quoted by G&H are well in excess of what the club is worth.
2. That so much could have been decided already, particularly regarding the numbers of players leaving.

– The position became untenable between the owners (who publicly announced their exit strategy) and the incumbent funding parties providing the loans to G&H (thus the appointment of the intermediary in Martin Broughton to establish a credible buyer for the highest price in the shortest timeframe). The loan providers will categorically not extend credit beyond December 2010. One of the issues that has ultimately changed the valuation of the club (to the detriment of Hick's perverse valuation) is the future participation of ALL clubs in Europe based on their trading sustainability, i.e. Net difference between revenue and expenditure. Under these rules a potential buyer would have to return Liverpool to profit and then spend only within the limits. So even in the unlikely event of Liverpool qualifying for the Champions League next year, the rules are likely to disqualify them from participation. This ruling is also a potential issue for Manchester United and it is imperative for your club to return to a clear profitable position to ensure your future participation. We know that the revenue produced from participation in the Champions League can be anywhere between £10 – £40 million (dependent on how far through the competition the team progresses) and clearly not participating has significant financial implications. Given that Liverpool's annual loss is mainly based on the loans given to G&H to buy the club from the previous shareholders it is no surprise that their removal and therefore with them the loans, would establish them to almost breakeven. Note that the recent 7% increase in season ticket prices provides a small contribution to additional revenue. The issue for G&H now is that it is the Liverpool board of Directors along with representatives of the funding parties that have been in control of the process recently, not G&H. It has not been in their hands since they announced their intention to sell (no coincidence that the funders have been alerted by Hick's Texas Rangers recently filing for bankruptcy – you don't ignore that £360million of debt has been in default – figure seem familiar!).
– As for the number of players, did you know that Liverpool have 60 players registered covering the 1st team and reserve squad. If you wonder where the 16 players being released come from it isn't hard to find them! Doesn't mean that some won't be replaced but how many do you really need? If it was my choice I'd rather my team had less players of a high standard covering the first 11 than a higher number of average players that were included in the first 11.

Rangers signings – frustrating as it might be, all the talk on players on here is just talk. not even rumours purely conjecture. Rangers, I know. are well advanced in signing talks but will not announce until the time is right for them.Celtic are probably similar – they will not leak until after someone is signed up. Both clubs will sign players but not many – fans need to take chill pills and enjoy the World cup. I doubt if any big name player will sign for either club until after the wc final.

andre ooijer is currently out at south africa with holland, but was recently made a free agent after his release from PSV. ooijer is said to be desperate for first team football and a return to the english leagues would be very attractive to him.

I'm 100% certain that the manager elect is not Diego Maradona!! Aside from having a reasonable idea of who is lined up as the manager, Maradona's English is not good (if existent at all), would be a highly unlikely manager of any English team – given past playing indiscretions – and I believe that the "almost there" new owner will be unrelenting about his ambitions to providing a 1st class family orientated club with no tolerance for questionable behaviour, past or present. Again, given Diego's drugs past, he doesn't really fit the profile.

I have been speaking to a member of the Peterborough United coaching staff who has informed me that Barry Fry has accepted a bid of £2 million upfront for Aaron McLean and Craig Morgan from Leeds. Both players are discussing terms at present with the club and are due to undergo medicals next week. Leeds will pay a further £1 million if we are promoted in the next 3 years.

Arsenal could be a completely different team next year. Gallas, Campbell and silvestre look certain to leave and senderos has gone so Koscielny, Sakho and Kjaer could replace them. Sagna looks like going to inter so Diakhate could replace him. Diakhate is a right footed left back so might be more confortable playing right back. Fabregas, Denilson and Rosicky are leaving and Ozil, Gourcuff and Cabaye could replace them. Bendtner is going to Bayern with Eduardo leaving Remy and Cavani will be joining. I don't know who will be in goal next year but Fabianski will be leaving. Out of the goalkeapers we have been linked to i would like either Hart or Akinfeev. Barca have rejected bids from man city and chelsea for yaya toure at 19m each, the are holding out for 29m. the fact they are holding out for this ridiculous price, proves they are short on money after spending the 30m on david villa. obviously they want to sign fabregas but only have 36m and with the 29m from toure, they would then have 65m. seeing as arsenal are holding out for 60m (they have told barca to double their first bid of 30m) would leave barca 5m to replace toure. not a lot of course but they will also look to sell ibrahimovic for 40m, leaving them with 45m in the kitty. this will go towards mascherano(35m) or essien(40m) and a young goalkeeper.

I've been given some insight regarding the future employment of key personnel at Liverpool Football club and why the situation appears to be in a state of flux, despite a clear direction actually having been resolved a few weeks ago. Please absorb the following and use your brains to digest the following, calculate its merits and don't let any existing passionate bias for OR against Liverpool dictate your reaction – instead just think about it with a clear head
1. 8 members of the background team staff have been released to work elsewhere and replacements have been interviewed with offers pending.
2. A radical change in policy for youth team structure and development is being resolved currently with an exchange system being negotiated with a specific overseas country (haven't been told which one).
3. The ownership of the club has been resolved in terms of an offer that HAS been accepted on behalf of the existing shareholders, the deal has yet to be formally concluded in terms of exchange of money for stock – so no announcement will be publicly made until the deal is officially sealed and maximum positive publicity can be achieved.
4. Tom Hicks had been trying to influence the buyer to work with him in future projects in the buyer's native homeland and surrounding countries – totally unrelated field to that of football but he has been trying to use Liverpool as a bargaining chip to get himself into the alternative commercial environment in an alternative niche.
5. Tom Hicks holds no existing interest in building the new stadium for LFC – any suggestion otherwise is purely speculative. The original design is to be redrawn by the new bidder and a resubmission to the Council will be made by March 2011. No additional onsite work will become effective until then.
6. The manager identified by the new owner is one that some of the KEY 1st team personnel already know – non–disclosure clauses have been distributed to all personnel that know his identity and they all have been contacted to explain the sensitivity of the situation and will not be drawn on commenting in the press, to family members or members of the public!
7. The manager elect has carefully deflected attention from his position and it will NOT be Kenny Dalglish or Roy Hodgson. The debate is a convenient public distraction being played out to divert attention from the identity of the soon to be new owner and his chosen number one.
8. The club is gearing up for an announcement in July and not before and will not do so until the World Cup is concluded. It is imperative to both the commercial value of the announcement and in particular the selected manager – that the team he is currently involved with is not distracted by press questions or club business. Success in the World Cup under this manager will greatly increase the attraction of new players to LFC and significantly increase the commercial revenue stream. Carefully engineered distractions are already in place to handle identities of both buyer and manager until mid July.
9. At least 16 first team members are certain to be leaving. All player sales NET income generated will be made available to the new team along with an initial cash injection (advance allocation of commercial revenue) to build a squad now for the next 4–5 years under the new manager.
10. The 1st team will be permanently reduced from their present numbers to allow an increase in wage levels for the main squad, allowing a competitive level of salary for high gross revenue earning players to be maintained at a sustainable level. This will assist in attracting foreign players to the UK, despite the higher tax band and wages offered elsewhere, without dramatically increasing the outgoings of the club.
It has to be stressed that all of the negotiations to purchase the club and the appointment of the target manager has been done through representatives of all parties and you will NOT have seen or will see LFC board members at a hotel/bank/airport/stadia etc with identifiable individuals!! It is too sensitive a time; the process has not been and will continue NOT to be played out in any public areas.
Please note that only the select few within the club know the intimate details of the owners elect and the manager elect – this does NOT include ground staff, reserve team, youth team players or most of the first team. They have NOT been informed of any of the developments other than all will be announced mid July.
So.. to summarise:

WEST HAM UNITED RUMOURS!
West Ham are currently in talks with Henry's agent about a move to West Ham. However, it is likely that Henry will be offered another contract at Barcelona, but West Ham can almost garuantee first team football week–in, week–out!
Joe Cole – We are still in negotiations with Cole, but the owners have stalled talks due to the world cup and the importance of the world cup.
Yakubu – West Ham still want Yakubu, but they believe he is over–valued at £10million (a bit ironic i know). They will probably place one final offer of around £8million as a take–it–or–leave–it!
Ben Haim– Grant is currently in talks with Ben Haim about a move to West Ham. This is the most likely first move within the next couple of weeks.
Martin Petrov – We are still in the race to sign Petrov and will be holding talks soon.
We are also looking at various other strikers and defenders to strengthen the squad.

Burnley have wrapped up the £2.75m signing of Andrew Driver from Hearts, now common knowledge. This will be announced next week.
This won't be the only deal the Clarets complete, with Billy Sharp set to be unveiled after returning from his honeymoon next week. He will sign a three year contract for £1.2m.
They are also in discussions with Wolves to take Andrew Keogh for £1.5m to reunite the old Scthorpe strikeforce.

Roy Hodgson has been offered the Liverpool job! Due to his TV commitments with the World Cup, talks are slow. Kenny Dalglish will become Director of Football, with Sammy Lee as Roy's assistant. Hodgson is willing to take on the challenge – as his last big job. For me he would be a good choice. He has been able to get the best out of some quite ordinary players – Bobby Zamora for example, he could potentially do the same with some above average players. The only player he wants to bring in from Fulham is said to be Brede Hangeland to replace Martin Skrtel who is on his way to Juventus. Compensation for Roy is said to be £2.5m which Liverpool are happy to pay. Javier Mascherano is leaving with Inter and Barca interested. The money from this transfer is Roy's transfer fund. Any other sales will go to servicing debt sadly, so players like Babel and Riera will stay.

Hi everyone. I have got some interesting info about LFC. People who are saying that Liverpool have bid for Sergio Aguero are 100% correct. The bid is about £39m plus add ons upfront. How do I know this, I work for a scout of Athletic Club Bilbao and have been told that Atletico Madrid want Iker Muniain as Aguero's long term replacement. Atletico Madrid have bid €9.5 for Muniain which has been not yet accepted.He is extremely highly rated here. I really don't know how LFC are able to bid such huge amount, but my guess is that LFC have been sold to someone in the middle east or asia. And my club Bilbao are trying to sign Oier Olazabal Paredes(GK) of Barcelona for a small fee €200,000 and Ignacio Monreal Eraso(LB) of CA Osasuna for €7.5m.

Anderson will be staying. He unfortunately had a lot of injuries last season so couldn't get a good run in the team. Hopefully with no injuries you will see the best of him next season. Don't count on Vidic staying and if he doesn't then Evans will step into his shoes. Silva is a cheaper option than Di Maria and also I would expect one surprise signing by SAF.

Lucas Radebe former captain of English soccer club Leeds United, is in talks about returning as a coach to the team where he spent 11 years.
"After the appreciation that I got from that club, I'll always be a Leeds United fan, " Radebe said in an interview in Johannesburg yesterday, before the start of the World Cup. "That's where I think I'll go in terms of enhancing my knowledge of football and to give something back."
Radebe said he's spoken to Leeds United Chairman Ken Bates about a role at the club, most likely in a coaching capacity.
"They're willing to give me a position, " he said. "For me it'd be a learning curve, moving forward in terms of giving back to the game. We'll see after the World Cup."
Radebe, 41, who also captained the South African national team, joined Leeds United from South African team Kaizer Chiefs in 1994. Since retirement he's worked in the media, and is an ambassador for England's bid to host the World Cup in 2018.

I know for a fact that many agents are talking up the price of players by mentioning that Man City are interested even when they are not. I know from a player there that over 50% of the supposed transfer targets are not even being considered by the club. So who are the real targets:

Vidic will never sign for Man City from Man Utd SAF would never let that happen. If he goes it will be Real Madrid. Silva is a no go as well as he wants Champions League football as do most of the top players in the World. Only expect players who are interested in money rather than furthering there careers to sign.

King Kenny has put his name forward for the managers job – even his son has said in the papers that he wants this job " more than anything" . I am sure that this would be a fans delight but it is strongly rumoured that Purslow wants Hodgson.
This has not been taken well by King Kenny – as he is already on the payroll and he would like Sami Lee as his 2nd ( cost saving no new contracts).

Charlie Austin is close to agreeing a 2 year deal with Forest.
Forest and Cardiff have been in talks all day about Robert Earnshaw, and Cardiff have relented and offered Forest their asking price for the Wales striker.

Mate, I only hear about a few things thru clients of mine, they are not agents, players etc! they are 1st div managers, ex managers/coaches and someone else who I wouln;t say (3 ppl in total) so they only let me know when they hear something, and tbh the only Rangers thing i've heard recently is Conway talks, and that the Ellis deal won;t go thru, but this is all just conjecture, however i believe it
