Liverpool will not sign Eto'o as the deal broke off. Barcelona only wanted a player exchange with either Alonso or Sissoko their way but Benitez was not willing to give either. Chelsea and Arsenal have both jumped in on the chance to get Malouda as Lyon was on the brink of letting him go to Liverpool for a nominal fee of 10 million. Eto'o was Benitez's first choice but since the deal broke off, Benitez wants Torres. Tevez, Forlan and Bent are all being used as smokescreens. Benitez scouts have been at Portugal recently. This likely means Simao is on his way but don't forget about the likes of Quaresma.

SAF will be offering Newcastle 5 million + Smith for Michael Owen this week which Newcastle will be accepting to avoid a straight offer near 9 million to release Owen from his contract. Saviola is also joining on a free transfer mid July and Rossi will be given the chance in the first team this season. Huntelaar has shown preference to Juventus so will now not be sought to avoid a bid war. SAF considering a loan to Sunderland for Dong until January initially, this may be season long to see out OGS's last season dependant on his latest injury.

FACTS: Liverpool will sign the following players, in this order:

D Bent will be signed on a strange deal. It will be on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season if Charlton are not promoted back to the Premiership, in which case he will return to Charlton.
This is along with other players already signed, the two hungarians, the sweedish kids, Adriy Veronin and Lucas and Leto loan returns, who will break into the first team this season, after impressing in cup games. Also expect many young players to be signed for minimal fees.

Sissoko £11 million Juventus
Also Many youth team and reserve players will be sent out on loan to agin experience.
Tal Ben Haim to sign for Newcastle on a free – 100%. Likely this week before his weekend wedding, and then he can celebrate with a honeymoon to Costa Del Whitley Bay.

Could people stop believing the nonsense posted about Celtic poaching every Rangers target. McDonald didn't come to Ibrox on deadline day because Motherwell rejected the offer Rangers made – McDonald openly admitted he was gutted about the move not going through. Rangers were not interested in in him after that. The same goes for Riordon last year – Rangers made a deadline day bid which was rejected by Hibs, PLG/ Rangers were not interested in him after that. Rangers were never ever interested in Pressley – the deal to bring in Webster was done long before January. Rangers did want Hartley – but thankfully Celtic got him instead, he has been rank rotten since he moved to Celtic. Rangers wanted Brown – that is a fact – but anyone willing to pay £4.4 million for raw talent that's tempramental and injury prone are mad. Shay Given, Rafa likes him and wants realistic competition for Reina, Rafa values at £4 million, though Sam wants £8 million, or £2 million plus Scott Carson on loan for minimum 2years.
Man United:
United have only £10 million to spend, and want a striker, they may opt for Owen (most likely) however Sir Alex would prefer to get rid of some players ie Richardson, Heinze, Saha and buy Darren Bent.
Tottenham:
Not as much money as people like to think, any big signings will depend on Berbatov going, expext Keiron Dyer to turn up for £3 million.
Chelsea:
Possible swap with Inter, Shevchenko and Adriano, but this looking unlikely. Chelsea should go for Owen.
Newcastle:
As well as Viduka and Barton (pending £300k from City) plus depending on how much Mike Ashley is willing to pump into the club. Sam Allardye will go for Micah Richards and Glen Johnson. Tal Ben–Haim will go through as a free anyway. Possible chance of Zenden coming in. Also Barcelona looking to revamp squad with up to 8 players leaving for England.
Arsenal:
Wenger unsure of bringing in all potential buys as not sure if he will be at the club next year.

This will then open up the negotiations for Wenger to sign for life. Once this happens, the following signings will be made: Philippe Mexes from Roma. Micah Richards from Manchester City. One of the following two, either Stephen Appiah or Yaya Toure. Also one of the following two Ricardo Andrade Quaresma or Joćo Filipe Iria Santos Moutinho, there is also the possibility that Wenger will sign Michael Owen or Klaas Jan Huntelaar from Ajax.

I am from Manchester, near Manchester Ciity's stadium and I can confirm that Darius Vassell is in talks with Barnsley Fc.
Liverpool are looking to have signed Fabio Quagliarelli and Alexandre Pato in 2 weeks time. Fees will be 14 million and 12 million respectively. Florent Malouda of Olympique Lyonnais will sign for 11 million at the end of this week. That will be the major spending. The other signings will be cheaper players. Liverpool will offer Bellamy to West Ham if they can get Matthew Upson and around 5 million in exchange. The only other player will be an experienced goalkeeper as Carson will go out on loan. This will total major signings to around 37 million plus around 15 million coming back in sales.
Arsenal want to bost their strike force with Barca yongster Bojan Krkic 10 million, Carlos Tevez 25 million and Huntlear 14 million.
SPL NEWS: Hibs are trying to sign Gary Holt and Gavin Rae for some much added experience in their midfield. David Marshall will go on a season long loan and joining him from Celtic will be Cillian Sheridan. Celtic will add Appiah or Lunberg to their midfield and either Naismith or O'Conner up front. Beattie, Miller, Jarosik, Graveson, Balde and Zawraski will leave. Rangers will bring in James Folwer from Kilmarnock, David Clarkson from Motherwell and possibly Jason Scotland if his deal to Swansea is cancelled. Giampaolo Pazzini is in Liverpool on Thursday for talks with Rafa Benitez and chief scout Frank McParland. I've been told that Pazzini is a player Rafa has had McParland working on for a few months now, and as soon as this transfer is cleared up, McParland will complete his work at Anfield and leave for Bolton.
Ive been shown a photocopy of the file regarding these talks/ transfer from a lower level scout at Liverpool
Pazzini is flying in to London Gatwick from Florence airport at 9. 00am. He will be picked up and taken to Liverpool by a company called Bon Voyage Executive Travel. He will then have talks and been shown around for a few hours. He will leave again for London Gatwick on the same day for a flight leaving for Florence at 22: 55.
As long as there are no major hick–ups, he will return next week to complete the transfer.
Ive also asked the scout about the Henry and Eto'o stories. His exact words were, "no chance".
Andrew Cole will agree to take a massive pay cut, to end his career at home town club Nottingham Forest. Cole has stated before that he would like to end his career at the City Ground, but the transfer was somewhat unexpected as Cole has taken a pay cut of £30,000 per week.
Leon Best will also snub Coventry to join Forest from Southampton, while player of the season Grant Holt is on his way out, with Carlisle, Doncaster, Colchester and Charlton thought to be chasing him.
This will lead to a 4 way battle for starting places at Forest next term, with Tyson, Agogo, Cole and Best all fighting it out.
Forest will not, however replace Rune Pederson, instead youngsters Paddy Gamble, Shane Redmond and Dale Roberts will be given the chance to stake there claim for the Number 2 position.

So get your arguements right before posting. Laws does have fincial backing from chairman Dave allen but does not think sharpe is worth 2.5 million price tag. Also there hasn't been two bids for sharpe as Wednesday opened the bidding for sharpe in the first place but it was rejected. I wonder where you get your information from.
