Mario Ballotelli agent claims that Man United are still interested in signing the young striker. Whether or not they will sign him or not depends on if either owen or berbatov leave. Rooney going nowhere.
Roy Hodgson wants to sign Asamoah Gyan who was the star player that kept ghana going for aslong as they did in the world cup. The fiure being looked at to sign him though is around £20m. Torres going nowhere.
Bastian Schweinstiger has hinted that he could be tempted to move to a premier league team. Chelsea and Spurs have both showed interest but Spurs will not be able to compete with Chelsea in a bidding war.

I am a massive Bristol City fan, and I just went on the official Bristol City website. And SC has left Paul Hartley out of the tour to Scandinavia. Well I am shocked and suprised about this, as I thought Harts was excellent last season. Also I read that out of contract Barnet striker, John O'Flynn has joined us on a trial. Ed, have you any idea who wants Harts, and what do you think of O'Flynn? {editor's note – Hartley wants to return to Scotland I believe. I don't really know enough about O'Flynn to judge him, I have only seen clips, I prefer to watch full matches to judge players.}

4m for Ledley ? I don't think so, a lot of people are getting excited about him and a lot of people are going to be disappointed. He's a decent Championship player but he's no EPL player – only Stoke interested. I think Celtic can do a hell of a lot better than him.

ED have u heard any rumours on cardiff, either players linked or anything on the finacial side of things or wen the transfer embargo will be lifted {editor's note – not heard a thing mate, I don't know why the embargo hasn't already been lifted as the club has paid the tax bill as I understand it. Or have the wages not been paid after all?}
They haven't paid all of the HMRC bill – just the first month, 2 months outstanding. But they also owe Charlton for Hudson (500k o/s I think it is) and Charlton want the money. There is also over 1m left on the Chopra deal – I think Sunderland have agreed to have that in installments. Until everything is cleared, the embargo will remain. And then it'll start over again when Cardiff can't pay their players next month. {editor's note – have the players been paid for this month then?}
The players were paid (late – 5 months on the trot now, soon to be 6) but they are struggling with the cash flow and unless they get some serious monies coming in, it's going to be that way for some time. Bit of a mess really.

We get the construction news monthly at work and i was reading the story about stadiums and arenas that are offering up tenders as it states there is between 1 and 2 billion pounds worth of work up for grabs, Lords is on there, the new Spurs ground it even mentioned sites on hold like the new Liverpool ground and Forest. On the list is an Extension to the East stand at leeds, i presume its the hotel, bars and shops that were on the official Leeds site some time ago, the thing that caught me eye is the start date of November 2010 and the tender of £50 million quid! How the hell does that work, i can see Bates holding back on transfers if this is in the pipeline but where the hell will we get the money from? Will the hotel, bars and shops pay leeds to be sited there? If you google Leeds East stand redevelopment it brings up some pretty impressive images, please don't tell me Uncle Ken is gonna borrow a load of brass, sell up and put us in the st again, anybody else heard out, ed? {editor's note – that is exactly what he did at Chelsea. Young Arsenal starlett Sanchez Watt has apparently let slip via his Facebook page that not only is he looking for a return to Elland Rd next season but will likley be joined by his fellow Arsenal team mate Jack Wilshere.
This could be a real coup for the Yorkshire club as it was thought the likes of Bolton, Sunderland and Newcastle were all hopeful of taking Wilshere on loan this coming season.
It seems the clubs efforts to impress Watt (on loan at the end of last season) could have paid off with the imminent loan signing of one of the country's hottest young talents Jack Wilshere.

Joe Cole WILL be signing for Liverpool FC – This will be announced within the next 10 days, as will formal confirmation that Gerrard and Torres will be staying, with Torres proving his loyalty by signing a contract extension.
Cole has been offered a 3 year deal of £85k per week, plus performance related bonuses and, altho this is still some way short of his expectations (apparently he was looking for £100k+), the fact that Hodgson has assured him of a 'big' role in the team, in the position he wants, i.e. more central / attacking playmaker, has made his mind up.
This will see Cole move into the position normally taken by Gerrard, but Hodgson see's Gerrards role as the new 'Roy Keane', putting the breaks on his forward (and very tiring) runs and letting him concentrate on playmaking – This will see Masch leave (expect c£25m from Inter) and, thereafter, leave Hodgson with a healthy transfer budget in the region of £45m (plus the proceeds of any other sales).
Dzeko is a possible – £25m + Riera – and, personally, I believe would be an amazing signing – Just what we need – Big, strong and good on the ball and, for his size, very mobile.
Other than him – who knows – We need a good left back, young mobile centre back, and I would love to see us bring in a quality right back, allowing Johnson to push forward into the right midfield / wing position.
Also, watch out for Lucas this season – Got a funny feeling he may prove a lot of fans wrong (personally, I think he was one of our better players last season)

AS the SILLY season has well and trully started, I met joe ledley in kirkintilloch yesterday, just before his trip to neighbouring lennoxtown, He was having a coffee in a take–away. and said he would NOT be signing for celtic because they cannot meet his demands of a minimum release clause which he wanted to be 4M.

TAX: You pay it at the end of the financial period not per deal, so if lfc sold for 30m bought for 30m no taxes need to be paid.
Fees: Agree to certain extent, however it depends on the deal, and most likley the selling club will not pay any fees, and when buying the fees can be included within the deal price.
However I doubt lfc getting 30m for Masch and Roy H buying either of Turan or Banenga, they were Rafa's targets.

There is also over 1m left on the Chopra deal – I think Sunderland have agreed to have that in installments. Until everything is cleared, the embargo will remain. As a avid reader of this place for a brave while i personally think there some deluded gits about here. I offer no rumour but would like to clear up a bit on when a team has first refusal on a player as i see some are saying yes but this team or that has first refusal.
If the parent club accepts a bid for a player that has the first refusal on them be it as part of previous sale . or worked into the equation by another deal happened between the clubs.
This does not mean that no other club can get him . as its only up to the parent club of the player to inform the team that holds this right to make a offer as another bid has been accepted or give up there right.

Real Madrid are cooling their interest in Steven Gerrard because of the valuation, according to their transfer consultant Ernesto Bronzetti.
The Liverpool midfielder has been offered a contract by the Spanish giants but if you believe Bronzetti, the Reds are refusing to move on the valuation.

Albert Riera will NOT be leaving Liverpool this summer. This information comes from the mouth of Roy himself. No, I do not have direct word that it includes of excludes Riera but Roy has said an I quote, "Players will be given the chance to prove themselves."
Riera missed the first training due to knee issues were he was told to rest for two days this is known. Riera like others including Degen, Babel, N'gog and Nemeth will get the chance to prove themselves in training and Pre–season before the start of the season. If Roy is unhappy with them they will be sold and replaced by Quality players or Youth. At this point I don't know who.

Something's making me feel sick. Brazil legend Romario is having talks with Barnet FC, yes BARNET FC, in a shock bid for the 44 year old to come out of retirement to play in North London.

Young Arsenal starlett Sanchez Watt has apparently let slip via his Facebook page that not only is he looking for a return to Elland Rd next season but will likley be joined by his fellow Arsenal team mate Jack Wilshere.
This could be a real coup for the Yorkshire club as it was thought the likes of Bolton, Sunderland and Newcastle were all hopeful of taking Wilshere on loan this coming season.

Been down to the city ground today to pick up my season ticket i got the missus to drive me into the players car park i knew the main stand ticket office was still closed for referbishment but i wanted to see if i could catch any fresh faces quess what no bugger there apart from gunter and mcgoldrought it was pissing it down so i didn't bother asking for any transfer info but i have read on a newcastle blog that the transfer fee for perch was £3m if this is true it was very good bussiness for forest as i would ov been happy at £1m can any one else confirm this price as this money would come in very handy for future transfers

Now that the world cup is over the transfer merry–go–round will gather pace as expected. There are alot of rumours about and alot of agents throwing their players names around. However there is one player, namely Mario Balotelli, that seems to be cropping up more than others and especially with regards to Manchester United. As this one seems to gather pace i can't help but suspect this could be more than rumour. Add this signing to the expected signing of Sotiris Ninis and i feel these could be Uniteds 2 signings. Young players with bagfuls of potential. Balotelli in particular reminds me of a young Louis Saha in his prime and maybe even a certain Didier Drogba. Just my thoughts but id be interested to get the editors thoughts of the likelyhood of either of these deals?

So in your world it would only be tapping up if Ozil and Khedira sign pre–contract agreements with United? I'm well aware that tapping up goes on but the fact of the matter is that clubs must have permission to speak to other clubs players otherwise its tapping up. In regards to the Ronaldo deal part of the reason the fee was so high was so United would keep quiet about the tapping up, similar to United paying higher for Berbatov when Fergie picked him up from the airport!

We get the construction news monthly at work and i was reading the story about stadiums and arenas that are offering up tenders as it states there is between 1 and 2 billion pounds worth of work up for grabs, Lords is on there, the new Spurs ground it even mentioned sites on hold like the new Liverpool ground and Forest. On the list is an Extension to the East stand at leeds, i presume its the hotel, bars and shops that were on the official Leeds site some time ago, the thing that caught me eye is the start date of November 2010 and the tender of £50 million quid! How the hell does that work, i can see Bates holding back on transfers if this is in the pipeline but where the hell will we get the money from? Will the hotel, bars and shops pay leeds to be sited there? If you google Leeds East stand redevelopment it brings up some pretty impressive images, please don't tell me Uncle Ken is gonna borrow a load of brass, sell up and put us in the st again, anybody else heard out, ed? {editor's note – that is exactly what he did at Chelsea. 1) Parker WILL NOT be sold, end of.
2) Samba (from BRFC) £7 million fee agreed, hence he has pulled out of Blackburn Rovers pre season tour and to meet Hammers owners to agree terms. If this goes through then Upson will be sold to Sunderland for £6 million.
3) Hammers hoping to purchase Wheater from Boro, perhaps with Spector going as part of the deal. This is in the early stages of being brokered.
4) Remy and Barrera are done deals, pending medicals being passed and WP being issued in Barrera's case.
Barrera is £3 million fee whilst Remy is £11.4 over 3 years (£6 million now, then £2.7 over years 2 and 3)
5) Due to Remy being captured (and this was our No 1 target), then interest in Neymar will be shelved for the time being.
6) Hammers now just looking to finalise a full back, who is most likely gonna be Luke Young. The other full backs being looked at are Clyne at Palace and Hutton of Spurs.

Okay, where do I begin with this rumour!? It is well known that Fabregas has no desire to stay at Arse–nal and as soon as a fee is agreed he wil leave. Why would he continue to play for a failing team when he can leave to join his boyhood club Barcelona, a team that is going from strength to strength? It is highly likely that the majority of the £40 (or so) million raised from his sale won't even be spent on new players this transfer window as Wenger still wants to believe in his youth players, something which as let down the Arsenal team over the last few years. For example, Denilson was supposed to be the next great midfielder if you believed what was coming out of Arsenal. This has certainly not turned out to be the case, and there are similar scenarios for many more of the ex– youth team players. Johan Djourou, Nicklas Bendtner, Armand Traoré to name but a few.
So, in response to your suggestion that Fabregas will not go, I, as well as many others, strongly disagree with you. It is almost certain that he will join his boyhood team Barcelona, this is just another example of Arse–nal fans clutching at straws.

Liverpool and Roy Hodgson are looking to swell their transfer budget of £10m.
Lucas Leiva is wanted by Inter and Palermo, Liverpool have received 2 bids at £5.5m, Liverpool want double that amount to consider the sale. Roy Hodgson is prepared to offer money (around £5m) and Lucas to Palermo for Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani. Paul Scharner has been earmarked as Lucas' replacement on a free transfer.
Javier Mascherano is wanted by Barcelona and Inter–with Inter Javier's preferred choice. Roy Hodgson is a big fan on Inter's young Slovakian Rene Krhin and wants him included in any bid, with Liverpool holding out for £30m and Krhin. Barcelona cannot match such a bid with their pursuit of Cesc Fabregas. Roy Hodgson is a big fan of Scott Parker, and willing to bid £10m+ from the Mascherano deal as his replacement.
Emiliano Insua is wanted by Fiorentina, and a £5m bid is being considered. This deal will only go through if moves for Maynor Figueroa (£6.5m) or Taye Taiwo (£8m) are successful.

Question for the 'EDITOR', Mesut Ozil and Werder Bremen have come out and said that Ozil will honour his current contract and see out his final year at Werder, this is absolute rubbish, there is no way on this planet that Werder will allow him to leave for free next season when they can cash in on an easy 20 million this summer. 20 million to Werder is like 50 million to Manchester United. Will he sign a contract extension and leave next year for 25 million? Are Werder playing hard to get and are hoping for a large offer to come in for him and he is showing his loyalty by going along with it? I know Barcelona have offered Hleb and another player for him and they are willing to let him stay at Werder for one more year, that was rejected.

Reports in Italy suggest that Mario Balotelli's agent is travelling to Manchester to have meetings with directors of both United and City. Balotelli's agent is said to be meeting with the directors to see who is offering the best package and deal for his client. Editor is this true? I can understand City being interested in Balotelli but United? I just can't see Sir Alex spending £33m on Balotelli. To be honest I don't think United will sign anyone. United finished 2nd in the league behind Chelsea by 1 point and that was with defensive problems throughout the season (Fletcher and Carrick played CB for game v Fulham) and with Rooneys injury toward the end of the season. Okay, where do I begin with this rumour!? It is well known that Fabregas has no desire to stay at Arse–nal and as soon as a fee is agreed he wil leave. Why would he continue to play for a failing team when he can leave to join his boyhood club Barcelona, a team that is going from strength to strength? It is highly likely that the majority of the £40 (or so) million raised from his sale won't even be spent on new players this transfer window as Wenger still wants to believe in his youth players, something which as let down the Arsenal team over the last few years. For example, Denilson was supposed to be the next great midfielder if you believed what was coming out of Arsenal. This has certainly not turned out to be the case, and there are similar scenarios for many more of the ex– youth team players. Johan Djourou, Nicklas Bendtner, Armand Traoré to name but a few.
So, in response to your suggestion that Fabregas will not go, I, as well as many others, strongly disagree with you. It is almost certain that he will join his boyhood team Barcelona, this is just another example of Arse–nal fans clutching at straws.

Leeds United have signed Jack Wilshere on loan from Arsenal.
Grayson enquired about three players – Wilshere, Watt and Fabianski about 10 days ago, and Wenger wanted more time to decide whether to let any of them on loan.
Fabianski will stay at Arsenal, but Wenger is keen for Wilshere to join up with Leeds after Watt recommended it as one of the best clubs outside the Premier League.

Leeds United have signed Jack Wilshere on loan from Arsenal.
Grayson enquired about three players – Wilshere, Watt and Fabianski about 10 days ago, and Wenger wanted more time to decide whether to let any of them on loan.

Heard over the weekend that Andy Keogh will decide where he is going to play next season Wolves have slapped a 1.5 + price tag on him no one in Prem wants him and no one in championship (except burnley) will pay that much for him, he has a choice of three clubs to go out on loan, I understand they are Barnsley, Doncaster Rovers and Burnley although burnley may get him permantley.

I posted something on this site last week and was congratulated by someone for the fact that my 'rumours' make sense and I am not deluded like some Liverpool fans posting on this site. This is because my 'rumours' are not rumours, in fact, they are far from rumours because I genuinely have close contacts within Liverpool. I know people ask to reveal your sources but I can't due to my contacts position at Liverpool, but I just want you all to trust me when I talk about Liverpool. Here's some news I have for you
Like I said on my last post, if Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Javier Mascherano want to leave the club they have to hand in a formal written transfer request. I said this long before it was published in any newspaper or any other football website. This is for Liverpool to keep the fans on their side in case the players leave out of their own choice, not the club.
There have not been any offers or any inquiries about Gerrard. All this talk about teams wanting them is true, Real Madrid want Gerrard and Chelsea want Torres but Liverpool DO NOT NEED to sell them and have no intention of selling them. Chelsea have had 2 offers rejected but these offers have come directly from Abramovic, Ancellotti isn't that keen on Torres. Even if they hand in a transfer request Liverpool will not sell them for less than their valuation of the players which is £30million for both Gerrard and Mascherano and £70million for Torres. Mascherano is willing to put in a request as he was probably one of a couple of players happy with Rafa and wants to join him at Inter. My contract has told me Gerrard is happy with the appointment of Hodgson and is willing to give him a chance to prove himself, just like Gerrard gave Benitez a chance when he could have left before Rafa joined. Gerrard's heart is over–ruling his head again and it's the same for Torres. Fernando loves Liverpool as a whole, the club, players, fans and City and would find it very difficult to leave. The reason behind the unhappiness at Liverpool last season was for one reason..Rafa Benitez. He lost the whole dressing room and players lost motivation to play for him, they wanted him out earlier and this has recently been reflected upon by Yossi Benayoun. If the groin injury Torres sustained last night is serious and needs medical attention, he will return directly to Liverpool and this would give an opportunity for him to meet Hodgson and talk about the future and the potential sale of the club and he will then make the decision on his future if not serious, Torres will meet Hodgson when he returns from holiday. Hodgson will not meet him during his holiday due to the fact that Torres has had an awful World Cup and wants him to rest and put everything else at the back of his mind in preparation for the season ahead. After seeing his photos parading with the World Cup wearing a Liverpool scarf, surely this proves wear his heart lies and that is at Liverpool. I said in my last post that I am not concerned about Gerrard or Torres leaving the club, at all. Remember towards the end of last season, Carlo Ancellotti said the despite Torres being a great player, he doesn't want to sign him. That hasn't changed. He would rather sign Sergio Aguero or Alexandre Pato. Liverpool have already spoken to Torres' representitives about their stance over a transfer and Torres knows Liverpool will reject any offer that comes their way.
The talk about Joe Cole joining is gathering pace. Don't listen to what the odds are with the Bookies, we all know not to take anything for granted in football as anything can happen. Besides, Bookies lower odds in order to cover their backs and not end up paying out thousands in won bets. Joe Cole has been offered 3 contract offers, one from Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal. Liverpool's offer is a straightforward £85,000 a week 4 year deal. Arsenal have offered the same amount on a 3 year contract but there is a clause in his contract about having to prove his fitness before Arsenal pay him that amount. Tottenham have a strict salary cap imposed by the club and they have offered £60,000 a week 4 year contract but they pay him more in bonuses depending on both individual and team achievements this season. I don't understand this talk about Liverpool having no chance of signing him because he doesn't want to leave London. He has offers from Italy and Spain that he is considering so why wouldn't he consider moving north of England if he is considering leaving England altogether? Liverpool have as much chance of signing him as anyone else, especially if you consider the contracts offered from both Arsenal and Tottenham, Liverpool's is more substantial and lucrative and this could ultimately be a deciding factor.
Emiliano Insua is in talks with Fiorentina and Lucas Leiva is in talks with Palermo. If these transfers happen, it will raise another £13million for Liverpool. Philipp Degen, Nabil El Zhar, Damien Plessis, Krisztian Nemeth, Sotirios Kygriakos, Diego Cavalieri and Ryan Babel are all up for sale. Hodgson is willing to give Albert Riera another chance but he is unhappy no–one at board level would back him during his spat with Benitez and therefore he may want to leave.
No–one else knows anything about Roy Hodgson's targets. All these rumours are just rumours. If I have any more on Liverpool I will bring it to you.

Just got back from spain early from watching Pne train as i have to work today but the big rumour over there is that we are setting up 6 youth centres over the next 3 years with 2 in europe 1 one asia, africa, america and in australia with the academy being built in Preston.

Just a bit of info from the official lfc shop in Liverpool one, Got forwarded an email which is floating around with a picture of Torres, Reina & Alonso holding the world cup and wearing a lfc scarf around them all – Not saying Alonso is coming back, But good to see them all still so close!!
But onto important matter, Lfc are currently in negotiations with Palermo over the sale of Lucas (holding out for 12m – Not the 8m spouted by the press) and Insua to Fiorentina (looking to pick up around 5m) – These two sets of negotiations where started by Purslow whilst we had no manager – So Roy Hodgson can't block any sale of these players if the valuation is met. Word is that Purslow began negotiations for the sale of 2 other "prospects" – The worrying feeling is that those 2 are Pacheco and (less worrying) Plessis.
Would love to hear what you know of this editor? Ok time to put this myth to bed. Koscielny is right footed, he played on the left side of the defense last year but that doesn't mean he's left footed. To all the LFC fans on transfer speculation, unfortunatly we are currently in a situation where we are unable to bid for the likes of Peter Crouch, Milner, Ashley Young, (getting lots of stick, but seems to be one of the best deliver'ers of a moving or still ball in the prem), as players such as them are in teams where they play regularly and have managers that really rate them, possibly in the past money may have talked, but we don't have the financial clout to compete now. I feel if we are looking at Home–grown elligible players, we have to look at some of the following – David Wheater, Ryan Shawcross, Wayne Bridge, Onauha, Richards, Jenas, Bentley, Noble, Stanislas, SWP, Ireland, Carlton Cole, Joe Cole and Carroll. I'm not saying buy all of these, or stangely that I want any of these, but that's where we are at, possibly 1 or 2 could come in. I also think all of them could make some impact on the squad.
I also think to push on, some quality such as VDV and this Ruiz could be welcome additions. All this based on player sales and willingness to join. Looks like Torres is going to be out for a number of weeks again, so at least a loan signing upfront is vital. Ngog also has got some stick and ok he's no Torres, but the kid gets into the right positions and just needs to keep his head. Also, whover said Lucas is better that Fletcher must be watching a different game to me, as he was probably Man U's second best player last season, whereas Lucas improved a lot, but needs to keep going.
One final point, is there any other han that would rather see someone join for the club now, rather than the potential money if we get taken over?
