HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......Celtic are 10 times bigger then arsenal? what world does this guy live in? when was the last time celtic made a champions league final or even a quarter of semi final?
Arsenal will buy:
Ribery- 12 million
Appiah-swap with sol man
Yaya Toure- 8 million(won't play for non CL club like spurs or just awful club like celtic)
Baptista-swap with cashley cole
Arsenal will sell:
Campbell-swap with Appiah
Cashley Cole- swap with baptista
Ljunberg-Mid table spanish team
Jose Reyes-18 million to real madrid
Pongolle on his way from Liverpool to Lille deal annouced today 11/07/06 which gives Rafa an extra 2million to fund the Villa and Alves deals, lots of work going on behind the scenes to keep Barragan, Rafa wants him to stay.Kirkland,Le Tallec and also Cisse going on loan should bring in more money and reduce the wage bill.
West Ham will sign Lionel Scaloni for 2 million after Pardew was impressed with the former loanee display at the World Cup. Deportivo are struggling with finances so a 2 million pound deal looks set to be completed within the week.
Also Pardew is hoping to use the Scaloni deal as a pathway to securing a move for Scaloni's Deportivo team mate Aldo Ducsher a player the West Ham manager has admired for a long time.
west ham signings:
out: ward[1m], hislop[free], cohen[350k], clarke+500k[arca]
have been doing a fair amount of paperwork recently on behalf of LFC, and have seen a couple of posts on here relating to David Villa going to LFC.This is correct and the Morientes sale triggered Villa's buyout clause for LFC, that's also why they've shipped Cisse off to Marseille, the transfer funds from him were not earmarked for Villa but for other areas of the squad. Expect to see garcia going to valencia as well as part of the deal, so that money saved can go on alves. By next Friday Alves and Villa will both be LFC players.
Liveprool are busy with possibly three more signings, firstly a new striker, the names that Benitez are looking at are the following Bent from CAFC, Saviola and also Angel from Aston Villa. Benitez will also decide between Alves and Trabelsi this next week with Alves being first choice. Pennant is not an option, BCFC have held up for a high price and if they can get what they did for Heskey then it is too much for LFC to go after Pennant. Simao is still an option but that depends on Alves. Also Joey Barton has been seen as a possibility. So there you have it these are the players on Liverpool's shopping list, deals to be announced within the next 10 days.
Othmane Hamama will sign for Aberdeen after the trip to South Africa.
This is just to set the record straight so that not too many Newcastle fans get disappointed. There is absolutely no way that either Joaquin, SWP or David Villa will join NUFC for two main reasons. Firstly despite the reports, Freddy Shepherd is having financial trouble and so any players bought would be through a loan from the bank which is a highly risky thing to do. Secondly, Joaquin and David Villa have even been quoted as to saying that they didn't want to move to Tyneside because they didn't like the club's setup.
Man u will sign Torres for a possible fee of 15-20 mil. Will possibly sign Gattuso as Ac milan r on their way down
Asrenal will sign Ribery 10 mil instead of real madrids late bid 4 him. They will also sign a cb to replace campbell
to the guy who said JFH would not sign for Celtic, only Rangers as he is not a Catholic!!! How dare you bring bigotry, to this forum, you should be ashamed of yourself! That is why Celtic are the driving force and paving the way to quash all that stupidity! anyway celtic don't want JFH, we will be signing McFadden, Giggs, Kluivert & Naysmith! these come from high up inside Celtic Park! the truth shall set you free!!
has anyone heard about celtic trying to tempt Sol campbell to celtic? I overheard two members of staff talk about this at Celtic park yesterday??
Major Premiership Transfers to happen in July:
Ruud van Nistelrooy-Bayern Munich-£23million
Marlon Harewood-Tottenham Hotspurs-£6million
Major Premiership Transfers to happen in August:
Arjen Robben-Real Madrid-£24million
Firstly to the celtic fan yesterday who said celtic will bring in sol campbell, denilson and graveson....the moral of that story is don't take drugs children!!! The super saver tufty the squirel account will never stretch that far hence your world breaking signings of Caldwell & Miller. As for petrov, I have a lot of respect for him as he has ambition, just like Van Bronkhorst & Gattuso before who used Scotland as a stepping stone to bigger and better things and who can argue against a Champions Leaugue winners medal and a World Cup Winner, best of luck to petrov once he escapes Carparkhead!!!
Also a squad of youth and experiencve that will win the Champions league, I don't know what you are smoking but it is totally mucking up your judgement!! Do you honestly think a central defensive pairing of Balde & Caldwell is going to put the fear into the likes of Henry, Shevi, Eto etc, come on they boys will hose all over you and that would be in 2nd gear!!
As for Rangers and the important news, PLG will sell on Ricksen as he has burnt his bridges already, rumours suggest Everton & Aston Villa interested.
PLG has his plans to bring in 2 strikers a midfielder a defender & posssibly goalkeeper although he has been impressed with Macgregor in pre season and knows the quality of Klos once he returns.
Strong rumours about Scott Brown, Darren Fletcher as well as James McFadden ( Who everyone knows is celtic daft, but as I used to play with him I know he would consider the move, as I recall him saying before "Neil McCann did it so why not."
Arsenal Youngster Niklas Bendtner is a possible option as is Ole Budtz who has played up front and in defence before, as support for Boyd, Prso and Buffel.
Marco Di Vaio has been linked but at 4 million pounds this would not represent good buisness.
Mahktar N'Daiye looks to have won a deal as PLG says he is very impressed with his performances in training and pre season games. Still lot of links in france also but this is to be expected with PLG experience of this market.
The Bears For The League.
Danny Murphy is a target for Fulham and Reading after only 6 months at Tottenham.
Norwich boss Nigel Worthington is chasing West Ham pair Mark Noble and Clive Clarke.
Happening on Friday... Carl Robinson signs for Ipswich. Norwich announce Clive Clarke and Steve Howard as new signings. Clarke may even train with us on Thursday. Still in negotiations with Ipswich over Andy Hughes. Hughes wants away, Worthington reluctant to let him go.
My fathers friend is closely involved with Watford FC at board level and has told us to expect some big movements in the transfer market very soon. He would not mention any names but did say that if the club can pull off one of the moves it will shock the football world!! He said that external financing has been sought to allow this to happen. The Premiership money is to be used to redevelop the ground. He is very excited about it but will not say who it is until the deal is signed. Thought I would let you know - has anyone else heard of the transfer target?
I am the guy that said Strachan is definatley interested in Yaya Toure and this is true, however if you read what i posted 3 days ago you will see that i did not say Petrov would be reluctant to leave, my words "Petrov apart", although i did say that players such as Maloney, Nakamura and Boruc might be reluctant to leave even though these guys could probrably cut in in any league in the world. Anyway Arsenal are not really interested in Yaya even though he is desperate to move to them to play alongside his brother and he knows this will never happen if he joins one of their rival teams, Man Utd, Chelsea etc, so he may use Celtic and the Champions League (which Olympiakos did not qualify for) as a stepping stone to secure his dream move to Arsenal. Anyway other players I've heard metioned for Celtic are Marco Di Vaio of Valencia on a loan basis, Diego Tristan of Deportivo and Marek Jankulovski of AC Milan.
There are reports that luca toni and ac milan have been in talks together over a proposed move. This is after the fiorintina striker was seen meeting up with the ac milan chairman. this was after a training ground bust up with head coach claudio prandelli.
Expect bids of around £900,000 for Izale McCleod to come in from Wolves, Luton and Crystal Palace this week. Martin Allen will allow him to leave the MK Dons and several championship clubs are interested. There may also be some interest from 1 or 2 premiership clubs.
Leicester city are set to put the finishing touches to a deal that will see Sam Bangoura move from stoke city. the troubled potters player has failed to return for training and has seeked a move away from the club. Rob Kelly moved quickly for the striker after Matty Fryatt is moving through a deal taking him to birmingham city for a fee believed to be in the region of £2m
Hot news from a friend at SJP, that SWP is arriving in next couple of weeks on permanant deal along with Klose and Bent. You heard it hear first
Man city will be bidding for two new players very shortly. They will have a budget around 15 million that will secure the services of the 2 players. To get this budget man city will be receiving around 8 million for distin and barton as stuart pearce doesn’t want them to leave on frees as they haven’t signed new deals. Once these have been sold peace will bid for martin petrov from athletico Madrid and a very higly rated youngster name Falcao. He is comlumbian and has been dubbed the next van nistlerooy of Columbia. I have very reliable sources as my auntie is the receptionist at man city and has been told to send of offers to bid for these two players. U heard it 1st minimike
If West Brom don't allow Nathan Ellington to return back to the JJB, then Paul Jewell may try to beat Steve Bruce to the signing of Dutchman, Collins John from Fulham, although Birmingham are very close to landing the £3 million striker and Jewell will have to act fast.
Colinns John set to sign for birmingham 3mil bruce is also set to sign david thompson on a free
Can i just state, and on behalf of spurs, the club is not a breeding ground for the likes of Man U and other top 5 premiership clubs. Man u might have Carrick soon but there is no chance of Lennon going. I thought Man U were capable of producing unknown into quality or up and coming youngsters. There doesn't seem to be anymore Giggs or Beckhams coming through the ranks does there ?!?
To the idiot who posted this needs to get his facts straight... How many top young players have SPURS actually produced? lennon is a leeds boy. Carrick & Defoe are from west ham, Jenas and Dawson are Notts Forest lads and huddlestone is from Derby County - Im not a United fan but they have produced more top class players than spurs ever will. Carrick will not join United as spurs have priced him out of a move.
West ham will make a move for SWP but his wages may prove a stumbling block.
Zamora isnt going anywhere. Come on u irons
ARSENAL NEWS Real Madrid have joined the Chelsea and Man Utd way of scouting.ie look at who Arsenal want and make a bid for them!Franck Ribery is set to snub Lyon,Man Utd and Real Madrid and join Thierry Henry at Arsenal. He sought the advice of both Henry and Vieira at the world cup and they both told him to join the Gunners.Curtis Davies and Yaya Toure also seem set to arrive at Ashburton Grove before the start of the new campaign.Gianluigi Buffon could also join Arsenal as Juventus still owe Arsenal £7million from the Patrick Vieira deal. This will be topped up by £8million in cash?If Ribery arrives then a striker will not be signed.
Real Madrid centre-back Ivan Helguera will not be offered a new contract by new boss Fabio Capello and will head the exodus of players alongside Pablo Garcia, Carlos Diogo, Thomas Graveson and possibly Jonathan Woodgate and Antonio Cassano. Cassano will interest AC Milan should they be relegated to Serie B or stay in Serie A. Helguera wants to join the Premiership and Manchester United, Bolton and other clubs are interested in the Spaniard.
Crystal Palace ace Emmerson Boyce is poised to join Wigan and follow Fitz Hall into the Lactics. Palace could also lose winger Ben Watson and keeper Kiraly and new boss Peter Taylor may make up to 8 signings this summer to replace the many players leaving. Leon Cort will be a big feature next season at Palace and Taylor also wants to sign ex-Liverpool midfielder John Walsh from Hull as well as Danny Shittu from QPR and Steve Howard from Luton Town. He is also interested in Izale McCleod although he wants to bring Carl Cort from Wolves and Boaz Myhill from Hull should Kiraly leave.
People, people, people, the daily dross is slowly starting to get on my nerves, you all have seemingly bad ideas on AFC future transfer plans, well I am here to correct you all, you all are linking AFC with alot of foreign prospects which I agree would make AFC a better team but people please do you not realise that by 2008 you need at least 8 home grown players in your squad? AW has let CAMPBELL GO FOR FREE, we will not recieve a fee for him or use him in swap deals. Period. AW will NOT bid for THURHAM or CANNAVARO as they are 34 + 32 respectively and would not be willing to accept the 1 year deals AW offers to 30+ players. Period. The CB replacement will BE ENGLISH, either Davies(6m) possible but price is stumbling block as 1 good season in Prem doesnt really warrant 6m price tag, Upson to return, more likely as AW was always a fan but couldnt offer 1st team football Upson craved, he can now and with B'Ham relegated a 3m price tag suits AW perfectly. Woodgate is another 1 and @3m is a snip, but injuries are a problem also NUFC have 1st option. Period. Lauren will be sold to a Spanish team for around £4m. Trabelsi(bosman free) will be his replacement on a 3yr deal. Ljungberg may be sold for around 8m to accomodate Ribery for 14m if Ribery doesnt come(although AW has best chance of signing him as Ribery has already stated) Freddie will stay. Hargreaves will sign for £8m, he is English and AW knows he was Englands best player WC06. Toure is an option but for no more than £8m and IF he comes IF, Gilberto will be sold for at least 7m. AW is scouting (still) D.Bowditch(2m) of Ipswitch who could be a possible ENGLISH signing. Reyes WILL be sold to MADRID or BARCELONA for a minimum of £20m NO LESS! Adebayor will be loaned out, either to ITLAY or NUFC/Fulham. Saviola is being touted as an option along with Kuyt(10m) the 1st being more likely as @3-4m he is a steal and AW thinks so too but I woulndt count on him bringing in more ST. Buffon(12m) is
an option AW is looking at and would be the perfect idol for AW Italian youth keeper Mannone. Casillas(10m) and Carson are also being watched if new keeper signed Lehmann(4m) will leave. Sahin,Merida are only youths AW after FOR NOW! AW is a shrewd business man and lets say that all targets are bought and all possible sellings are sold then he would have spent a maximum of £60m(Will never happen but lets say it does) and will have brought in, in sales a minimum of £43m TOTAL spending 17m Although the realistic targets would cost £40m with AW recieving £43m+his 30m transfer kitty.
If all targets are met AW will have the nessecary homegrown players in his squad.
Foreign players: GK:Buffon/Casillas-Poom. DEF:Toure-Trabelsi-Eboue MID:Rosicky-Hleb-Ribery-Gilberto-Diaby-Flamini ST:Henry-RVP-(Saviola/Kuyt) TOTAL=14
HOMEGROWN(players from youth system counted as homegrown, this is how Wenger plans to get around foreign player rules)
GK:Mannone(Carson if signed) DEF:Cole-Clichy-Senderos-Djourou-(Davies/Upson/Woodgate)-Connelly-Gilbert-Traore MID:Fabregas-Hargreaves-Larsson-(Sahin-Merida)-Smith ST:Walcott-Lupoli-Bendtner-(Bowditch) TOTAL=18 and a possible 20(a real testament to our yuoth policy which I think can only be rivaled by M'boro)
Liverpool will sign Daniel Alves from Sevilla and David Villa from Valencia. Alves will cost £12m and Villa will cost £18M, the money coming from a remaining £20M transfer kitty and from the sales of Antonio Barragan - £1.5M, Fernando Morientes - £3M, Djimi Traore - £2M, Anthony Le Tallec - £500K, Florent Sinama Pongolle - £2M, Mellor, Diao and Cheyrou for a combined £1M (Not all to the same club). This raises a total of £10M which will be added to our £20M remaining transfer budget to total £30M available for transfers, which as I said will be spent on Daniel Alves - £12M and David Villa - £18M. Other players outgoing will be Djibril Cisse and Chris Kirkland, both going out on loan.
Man City will be signing the following players before the start of the new season:
- Sidwell, Reading: £3m
- Hamann, Liverpool: Free
- Fortune, Man Utd: Free
- Walcott, Arsenal: 12-month loan
- Lauren, Arsenal: 12-month loan

Leicester City have held talks with Blackburn over the possibility of signing young forward Ralph Welch on a season long loan. Matty Fryatt is also set to reject the advances of Steve Bruce and Birmingham to stay with the foxes
Liverpool 2 tie up Alves deal by the end of this week, expect another striker 2 follow;namely Kuyt preferably Anelka. Can someone clear this up 4 me? arn't we supposed 2 have signed Sommoza?
Toon News,Baros 4 Milner +3million, Bent 4 10 million,+ Defoe 4 abwt 8million, Mexes + Kuffour possibles, Malbranque looking unlikley but expect a few midfielders to arrive to bolster a thin Newcastle squad
mikael forssel is going to everton. very close friend told me this.
Man u have put in a 8million bid for cagliari
striker David Suazo
celtic may be a bigger club than arsenal, but who in there right mind would rather play in the scottish league than the english league, for a start celtic will finish 3rd in scotland next year, rangers and hearts will come first and second, and arsenal will probably come 3rd in england but i know what 3rd id prefer, why would a player with yaya's potential play in scotland i cant honestly see why he would, he's better than scotland.
fulham to sign thuram, runstrom and govou, finish in the uefa cup spots and knock celtic out next season in the first round.
to the rangers fan who said darrren fletcher will go to rangers but james mcfadden wont because hes a celtic fan, fletchers a celtic fan too! anyway celtic are looking at niko kracjar, and maybe fletcher, as well as a move for tommy gravesen still possible, a physical striker pos. mido if we can afford him and an experienced centre back. the rumours in the paper that we're going to get de la cruz are false. we still need a left back though and we may have to settle for gary naysmith if the kadlec deal doesnt work out
Ledley King is due for a medical at Aresnal on Thursday.
I know one of the consortium members taking over Sunderland he told me their top 2 managerial targets are Martin O'Neil and Sam Allardyce. He also told me that they are set to sign kenny cunningham, luke wilkshire, steve sidwell and a return for kevin phillips. 99 % true
Celtic have been in talks with Man Utd about the possibility of signing Patrice Evra on a season's loan.
Man Utd have Henize, Silvestre and Vidic all of which can play LB.
ALthough this doesn't fix the LB issue it is cheap alternitive and one that suits both clubs.
Expect Evra to play against his club in the pre-season testimonial!
Cannavarro will be the first to head out of the exit door at Juventus. A huge exodus will take place following the relegation and the Italy skipper will be off soon following Mutu's exit to Fiorentina. Chelsea and Real Madrid both want to sign the 32 year old centre-back, although Capello is likely to win the race and the Italian is poised to sign a 2 year deal at the Bernebeau on Wednesday.
Arsenal have not yet won the European Cup/Champions League whereas Celtic have. But that was in 1967 (39 years ago!) and it is IDIOTIC to still claim that Celtic are bigger (let alone 10x bigger) than Arsenal. Also, to the idiot that reckons Celtic could possibly win the Champions League if they sign the likes of Sol Campbell and Graveson - don't be absurd. Celtic are Rangers are now small fry and NONE of their current squads would even rate a mention when discussing possible transfer targets for England's big five (and I now include Spurs in the top 5). Do Celtic even have a decent striker ? I think not.
As regards Arsenal matters, we cannot use Sol as a makeweight in any future transfer BECAUSE WE'VE RELEASED HIM FROM HIS CONTRACT. He is a free agent.
There are only five definites - 1. Fabregas is not going anywhere; 2. Walcott is not going anywhere (even on loan); 3. Aliadiere is NOT coming back; 4. We are NOT signing Torres; 5. We are NOT signing Yaya Toure. Okay ?!
Hi, I have some interesting news for Man Utd fans. Today AF gave the green light for clubs to start bidding on Cristiano Ronaldo as Queroz failed to persuade the youngster to stay and retract his statment. AF has now enquired about Gattuso and Pirlo as a joint transfer to solidate the midfield. Both are very interested and Milan have accepted a combined fee of 17 million pounds. This will depend on the result of the match fixing. Plus AF has also approached Kerlons team for a possible move this week. And the major news is that Adriano has agreed personal terms with Man utd and on agreement with inter will sign on July 20th to join the south African tour. The fee proposed is 28 million plus a compensation plan which im not to sure about to cover image rights. I got this news from a fellow sports Journalist as im in the TV sport production team fro SKY sports. This is genuine news today. Any enquiries welcome.

Gillingham will signal there intention to return to the Championship this week by unveiling new signings Paul McShane,Arthur Gomez and Jermaine Easter.
They are also trying to agree a loan move for Charlton Athletic's Lloyd Sam but this move is in doubt due to the bad relations between the two clubs at present.
Arsenal will sign the following players:
and other young players. Arsene Wenger likes Fernando Tores but his price tag is way too big. Ribery will go to Lyon or Real most likely but arsenal may be able to come to da emerates. A suprise bid for Vieira might also be made.

Ljunberg(Marseille) this could be in January
Walcott(on loan for a season)

Arsene Wenger is willing to pay 10 million for the services of Frank Ribery but Real Madrid will offer 20 million for the French International.
Arsenal are ready to table a 12 million bid for Gigi Buffon.
The Saviola deal looks to be cancelled as Wenger is not sure how the Argentinian will adapt.
Who will replace Campbell?
Will it be Curtis Davies, Phillipe Mexes, Khalid Boulahrouz or Lilian Thuram?
I work in Liverpool Football club and recently became privy to some information.
Apparently the Liverpool Board have finally agreed to sell the club to Robert Kraft. He's promised Rafa major funds, but they don't want to announce the deal in case it pushes up the prices Liverpool are forced to pay.
The Alves deal is almost done, he's expected to have a medical later this week. Follwing hot on his heels will be David Villa, we've just agreed a fee with Valencia for him.
Rafa is still in the market for more players but those two are the big ones.
Saviola, David Dunne, Mark Viduka, Sulley Muntari, Zoltan Gera, Maxi Lopez (loan)and Abdoulaye Meite all to sign for Trotters within next month. 80% cert!

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR NEWS
tottenham could come in and snatch Gilardino as A.C Milan are being relegated or could get highly rated Zlatan Imbrahimavich as juventus are also suffering relegation... also they should finally complete the signing of Pascal Chimbonda for around £5-£6 million.
MANCHESTER UNITED are close to agreeing a £6 million deal with Cruzeiro for Kerlon Moura Souza, the highly rated Brazilian midfield player who has been dubbed “the next Ronaldinho”. A United delegation flew to South America this week to meet officials from the club and are hopeful of concluding the transfer in the next few days.

From an Extremely Reliable Sorce within the F.A with Strong Italian Contacts, None of the 4 Teams involved in the Match Fixing Scandal Will be Relegated. Lack of Firm Evidence will be given as the reason but to lose Both AC Milan and Juventus from Serie A would Damage Italian Football's Standing in World Football (Even though they won the World Cup)Thus causing a loss in worldwide TV revenue. If Pushed and Uefa and Fifa Step in then Juve would be the only Team demoted and Only to Serie B.
SOUTHEND UNITED NEWS
The league 1 striker we will sign will be annouced on wednesday at some point.
Its Billy Sharp from Scunthorpe... Nominal fee.
The mass exodus of Gerard Houllier's flops will continue so Rafa can lower the current wage bill and free up some more cash for more quality signings. Rafa operates a quality rather than quantity policy when squad building, two class players in each position providing competition and strength in depth. He also likes players who can operate in more than one position, eg Riise, Zenden, Kewell, Luis Garcia, Gerrard and now Aurelio, Bellamy and Gonzales. Following Hamman, Morientes, Cisse, Kirkland, Whitbred, Raven, Cheyrou out of Anfield will be Diao, Traore, Warnock, Kromkamp, Barragan, Dudek, Le Tallec, Mellor, Sinama. Daniel Alves is still first choice for the right wing position and Hatem Trabelsi may be brought in on a free from Ajax to give Steve Finnan competition at right back. If the Alves deal doesn't go through a cheaper option will be bought in Jermaine Pennant or Mauro Camorenesi (depending on Juve). Dirk Kuyt should be brought in for around £10M to complete the liverpool squad and enable them to mount a serious title challenge. Should this fail other options are David Trezeguet and Jermain Defoe or Rafa may decide to go with the cheaper option of Pennant for RW and bring in David Villa for a new club record £18M.
Likely Liverpool Squad 2006/07
GK - Jose Reina, Scott Carson, David Martin
RB - Steve Finnan, Hatem Trabelsi(FREE)
CB - Jamie Carragher, Sami Hyypia, Daniel Agger, Gabriel Paletta(£2M DONE)
LB - Fabio Aurelio (FREE DONE), John Arne Riise
RM - Daniel Alves (£10M), Luis Garcia
CM - Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, Momo Sissoko, Bolo Zenden
LM - Harry Kewell, Mark Gonzales (LOAN RTN DONE)
ST - Dirk Kuyt (£10M), Craig Bellamy (£6M DONE), Peter Crouch, Robbie Fowler
This is a squad which has pace, power, strength, skill, quality and experience in abundance. The average age of the squad is also quite low (around 24-25). Also expect to see more of the youth team involved in League Cup matches eg Paul Anderson, Godwin Antwi, Jack Hobbs. Plenty to look forward to LFC fans!
