The guy who said Nemeth and Hobbs to Wolves is right, though promotion won't make a difference. Hobbs, Darby, Nemeth, Plessis AND Martin will all be offered to Wolves for experience. Wolves are exceptionally open to the idea after the success of chelsea reserve star Mancienne. This would also allow for money to be spent where needed if they went up as the squad would be bulked out by these loanee's.
Norwich will be taken over by a consortium within the next week or so, although this means financially they will be better off they will not have millions to spend.
The will hope to complete the signing of Leroy Lita on a permanant deal (although other clubs including Ipswich are interested) for £360k.
Sibierski will go back to newcastle and Norwich will aim to get either henri Camera (Wigan) or Ched Evans (man city) on loan until the end of the season.
Arsenal will complete the signing of Arshavin by wednesday as a fee has now been agreed. They have also agreed a fee for Lazio defender Madibo Diakite.
Tevez is another target for arsenal however this is unlikely to go through until the end of the season and depends on the sale of Bendtner.
Man Utd have no more plans at the moment to buy anyone and will wait until summer to get people in due to the empending retirement of old time greats such as giggs and scholes.
Chelsea are looking to swap Drogba for adriano plus 10m.
Liverpool have no money to spend and will have to sell if they want to get anyone in.
Man city will bring in an abundance of players currently based in the premier league. Owen, bellamy or roque santa cruz are the strikers who are available and willing/wanting to join the club.
Spurs are looking to do a cash plus player for downing, thought to be either Aaron Lennon or David Bentley

Just taking the opportunity to correct so called ARSENAL fans, or any of you pretending to be Arsenal fans with ridiculous speculation.
Arsene needs a replacement for Cesc right? WRONG! Wenger has only been linked to Arteta and Arshavin. Yes they can both play in the position that Cesc holds, but these players are more the sort that Wenger likes to put on the wing. So whether we buy someone to play on the wing to keep Diaby and Denilson central where they belong instead of covering for our many injured wingers, or whether we bring one of them in to keep Cesc's spot warm before they go out on the wing, whoever it may be, it will be a player in the same mould (winger/attacking midfielder). We have way too many cantral midfielders in the works (Denilson, Diaby, Merida, Bischoff, Ramsey, Lansbury, Coqulin).
Some other important facts that we have to remember – from Wenger's mouth – are that Wenger has said that'll he'll look for an older player to avoid the possibility of one young player limiting first team chances for another young player, leading to a lack of development. A 26/27 year old would be perfect. Also from the great man himself, he stated that he only wants ONE OR TWO players. So you know what you can do with your ridiculously long lists of fantasy football transfer dontcha people?!

Arshavin – ONLY A POSSIBILTY . . People seem to think this is a done deal, but it's all too likely that money will be a stumbling block, especially as City seem to now be in the picture, and could easily outbid us.
Ribery – Maybe I'm dreaming, but I'm not the first to bring up this possible transfer.

Santander see Liverpool as a great brand to esatblish themselves in UK market. If it happens expect to see Liverpool spend a lot in Spanish market in Summer."
What a load of ballcocks. Santander's financial problems are worse than RBS and Hick/Gillette combined. AND it's HBOS that the loan to the Yanks is made from. AND Santander are already well established in the UK market, never heard of Abbey National or Alliance & Leicester?

Darren Bent is anxious to get out of Spurs now that Defoe has rejoined and Harry's preferred striker duo is Defoe and Pavlyuchenko. He also doesn't want to be there come the end of the season when Spurs get relegated.
A loan deal to Everton with an option to buy in the Summer would be a good move for him but Harry's problem is his main strike duo are cup tied and he has nobody else to play up front.
So the question is will Bent force the issue before transfer deadline day by putting in a written request so he has a chance of playing for a side that's staying in the Premiership?
David Bentleys stock as dropped at spurs. He will be loaned out to Rangers until the end of the season in an effort to get his value up again so spurs can off load him.
WGS is on his way out at Celtic. Craig Levin will be his replacement.
Why do Ranger's and Celtic's fans think they have such good players? When Celtic or Ranger's whenever they try and sign a player they never get rivaled by a top four club in England or even a mid–table one at that.

My opinion only.
SAF has decided that Tevez is not worth the money. He's gotten good service out of him and a parting of the ways is likely especially as Tevez has started to sulk.
United have good young talent and other targets to pursue.
Ronaldo will be leaving also if the offer is right but his dip in form may prompt Real to reduce their fee and wages offered which may be a stumbling block. World Players of the Year can rarely sustain that level of form and that's what is happening to the Ladyboy.
Too early to dismiss Berba as a bust. He will be given at least another season before any decisions are made.
Anderson and especially Nani are proving a little disappointing and Carrick, Park and Fletcher are
more reliable. Hargreaves will struggle to get a regular place when he returns.
The other big issue is what of SAF himself? Too much unfinished business to walk away at the end of this season but I expect next one to be his last. His successor will have to buy in to his philiosophy of using the scouting network to bring in talented willing young players and supplementing them with class acts from other teams.
Not all transfers pan out but no money to be wasted on selfish disruptive prima–donnas.

I have it on very good authority that Martin O'Neil is currently in in talks with Werder Bremen for Brazilian playmaker, DIEGO :–) The midfielder will make the switch to Villa Park in the next week in a deal reported to be in the region of £16m – £18m.

Arsenal are set to look for a cheap fix in the defensive midfield area because wenger knows he need another 3 players within the next 6 months, and are looking at an expierenced argintinean who plays for boca, believe me, this could be another wenger masterstroke.
The other 3 players are;
A central defender (tall and comanding)
A player who can play on the wing and occasionally play in the center.
A striker.
However the only other player who will definately sign in janurary is the midfielder come winger Arshavin is likely(arsenal are his preferance over city as he will be past his best when city break into the champions league he's 27 now and it could well be another 3 years before city break in and he feels that he can help arsenal get into next seasons champions league.) though this will be one of the few times wenger splashes out he may go for a player who he really admires.
Benitez will invest heavily on young players in the summer.
He will bring in:
Hernanes + Aislan (15mil) Sau Paulo
Renato Augusto (9mil) Leverkusen
Kuba (8mil) Dortmund
Glen Johnson (10mil) Portsmouth
Also joining will be Emile Heskey (free) as a back up to Torres. There will be NO 20mil+ signings, like it or not.
Benitez will try and get a lot of players out on loan instead of selling them either to increase their value or see if they have potential:
El Zhar, N'gog, Leto, Plessis Anderson, Hamill, nd a few other as well. He wants the playing either premiership, championship or la liga football. That said, if he gets a 5mil bid for any of the first 4, or 3mil+ for Anderson and Hamill he could well take it if there are buy back clauses.
Benayoun, Hyypia, Pennant will all leave permenantly. Althought a lot of money will be spent and only around 10mil will be brought back, Rafa believes that the players out on loan could have their value rocket. If they are not a success, it doesn't really matter as their values now are low anyway.

Hamburg and Manchester City are chasing Dirk Kuyt. Both are willing to pay around 15mil for him.
Liverpool are after 4 Brazilians in Aislan, Anderson, Hernanes, Renato Augusto.
Chelsea will make a 19mil move for Angel Di Maria
Arsenal will complete a 13.5mil for Arshavin soon.
