JERMAINE BECKFORD £1.2 million
Man United to sign Rabiu Ibrahim, the NIgerian wonder kid from sporting. I also think that United will go for Heitinga or Mendy to give rb cover. Serbian centre back Ivanovic could also join as Vidic has opted Fergie to sign the defender from Spartak Moscow, Vida's former club. He could join in January for around £8 million.
Arsenal will sign Samir Nasri from Marseille for £10 million in January. Nasri is keen about a move to Arsenal because of the amount of French players at the club. One of these French players, Armand Traore will join Marseille on loan until the end of the season.
Just went through the Portuguese papers. Nothing about Veloso going to Arsenal but there is an article on Fabregas being the number one transfer target for Real and Barcelona.
Newcastle will be busy in the transfer market with incoming and outgoing players
Jussi Jaaskelainen – Pre–contractual agreement (Bolton) – will not join until next Summer though.
Kevin Nolan £3.75 million (Bolton)
Edmilson Free (FC Barcelona)
Nicky Hunt £900 k (Bolton)
Stephen Carr £500 k (Bolton) – not part of any deal
Tim Krul Loan (Sheff Wednesday) – when he returns from Falkirk
Pattison £1 million (Wigan)
Celtic – look put for wee Gordon going bargain hunting soon. full–backs are a priority and a name in the frame is Alan Maybury (ex–Hearts). he knows the Scottish game, is fairly experienced and would cost less than 500 k. another target could be Sagna at Arsenal on loan, Wenger really rates him but is blessed with more experience in the squad and feels first team football, with probable eurpoean experience gained, will help. the fact alladiere failed miserably is not a concern, why is not at Arsenal? Wenger and Strachan had similar problems with jeremie and the Arsenal–Celtic link is a good one.
I have it on good authority (a certain Financial institution) that the FL have refused to review Leeds case on the basis that the club are now extremely solvant (£10 million+ cash at hand/positive liquidity) and feel the creditors were mislead into entering a CVA at a time when future revenue was guaranteed.
Leeds are viewed as arrogant within the FL and have used the situation to gain a financial foothold on the basis that they would have no problems in this league (no problem so far)
May or may not be true–but with 12k season tickets at avg £450 each and 28k average (16k additional at £28 each) the tills are certainly ringing for Mr Bates.
Tony mowbray is redy to of load Neil clement, luk steele and Richard chaplow in jan. dexter blackstock will sign from Queens Park Rangers. jay simpson of Arsenal n wyne routeledge of Tottenham will be loand in soon. baggies
Chelsea to sign Juve veteran n star delpiero. talks of a new contrct hav broke dwn n Chelsea will win the battle to sign him ahead of a long list of clubs. growing concerns over the future of Frank Lampard are looking to continue with both th Spanish giants chasing for his signaure. Arsenal to sign mondric and Nasri along with maybe dos sants, but no mica Richards. possibiliy of centre half if th right person n prce comes along. more likely djorou will return as planed for the second alf of the season. Liverpool will battle it out for the signingof Porto wing wizard Quaresma with inter n Juve. expect the signing of Brazilin forward Alfonso Alves. Villa will sign Riise and Defoe
Crouch looks likely to go, but only in the Summer. Quality forwards are hard to come by, and even harder in January, with inflated prices and players being cup tied.
Rafa no long has a great need for Crouch, as he now has a better, stronger front man to lead the line, more skillful and who is better in the air. Fernando Torres.
It looks likely that the funds raised from selling and clearing the wage bill of Crouch, Riise, Carson and Kewell, will form a war chest to bring in D. Villa (forward, Valencia), D. Silva (L. Wing, Valencia), Zapata (Udinese, C. Back), D. Alves (Sevilla, R. Back) and Quaresma (Porto, R. Wing).
Arsene knowsStories are coming out in the portugese press that Miguel Veloso (sporting clube) has signed a pre–agreement to join Arsenal in January? They are saying that it is a deal that will be worth around £20 million and Arsenal will get Veloso and young nigerian starlet Rabiu Ibrahim?
AW is intending to use Veloso as a centre back.Luka Modric (Dinamo Zagreb) will also sign in January for an undisclosed fee.
Samir Nasri (Marseille) will be the next signing but that will not happen until the Summer.
These will be the only major signings that Arsenal will make over the next few transfer windows.
As I stated last week it looks like Gary Speed is on his way back to Newcastle. Allardyce knows how much more Speed has in his locker and his influence on and off the field and in the last few days there has been several articles stating so. It is the likes of Shearer and Speed who will have a huge influence on the younger members of the team and with N'Zogbia being joined by Wesley Ngo Baheng in January from Le Havre Newcastle know what a pivotal part to Speed is to the squads development.
Liverpool are going to try and offload Crouch to City in the next few weeks and take advantage of Ajaxs state of flux to replace him with Klaas–Jan Huntelaar. But they will be, as ever, in competition with Chelsea who will see the introduction of Van de Vaart in January. Van de Vaart has been consistantly performing for the Hamburg club and with a deal to bring Henk ten Cate to Chelsea nearing completion expect to see the start of several Eredivisie signings.
Huntelaar maybe replaced by Afonso Alves though they may opt for a more experienced forward to partner Luis Suarez with the likes of Robin Nelisse who is performing well this year and of course the Swiss forward Blaise Nkufo who seems to be always overlooked but in stunning form but at the age of 32 it maybe too old for the the Ajax policy. But with the likes of Stam and Gabri, I know he's 28 but, in the squad anything is possible.
To the guy who said Arsenal wouldn'y spend £20 million on a player (Richards), but will buy velosa instead, his release Clause is £20 million
I have heard that Rafa Benitez is looking to get sell Jermaine Pennant in the Summer with Portsmouth, the Hammers, Everton and Middlesbrough all looking to secure his signature. His replacement will be either Andres Vasquez of IFK Gothenburg, or Andres Guarado. There is a possibility of both these signings happening which will force Harry Kewell out of the Anfield door, possibly to Tottenham or Sunderland.
Peter Crouch will stay in England to maintain his England place (rejecting Juve) but will have to move to do so, he has publicly critisised Rafa 'Rotation' Benitez and will be on his way in January. Ryan Babbel will then be used as afourth stiker/left winger.
After Chelseas signing of Henk Ten Cate from Ajax the rumour is that several hot young Dutch players from Ajax to follow including Huntelaar in January.
Paul jewell will be new Norwich manager with dublin as number 2.
Crystal Palace to appoint Neil Warnock on Thursday. He first signing will be Colin Kazim–Richards on loan and second will be Danny Webber in January for £1 million
Everton have signed Stephian Appiah from Fenerbache for £6.8 million this will be completed in January he will be the long term replacement for Lee Carsley. Steven piennar and Thomas Gravesen will sign pernament deals for £2 million and £1 million respectivly. Phil Jagielka will move to Sheff United on loan for the rest of the season in jan.
