Roberto Martinez will be David Moyes' successor at Everton. It is rumoured that MK Dons manager Karl Robinson will take over at newly crowned FA Cup winners Wigan.

What is the obsession with Karl Robinson being linked to every vacant managers job! He's not even that good!

If Robbo went to Wigan he's be out of his depth, like Ince was at Blackburn.

Glad for Wigan yesterday

Robbo would also be cheap for another club to acquire. Compensation would be small and so would his wages.

Yeah, I'm happy for Wigan too, pity they'll probably be relegated.

So sorry to see Wigan go down tonight. They made the Premier League better with their presence. At least they have Europe and a Community Shield to take part in next season. I hope they come back up soon.

Shrewsbury Town rumours:

It will be agreed that they will sign Jacques Maghoma and Adebayo Akinfenwa in the next week or two.

Mark Duffy is a possibility along with Matty Done and Evan Horwood.

Dave Edwards will resign for the club on a pay as you play with a view to a coaching role.

Maghoma has already agreed a deal at Middlesbrough but won't be announced until Mowbray gets back off holiday

I herd it was Rob Edwards who was on loan at Town last season & just been released by Barnsley who will be signing not Dave Edwards!

Is the Akwinfenwa rumour true?

Rob Edwards wasn't as good as thought but all of them rumours are very true. Adebayo Akinfenwa had said on a tv show called soccer am yesterday if he dosent get promoted there are league 1 teams looking at him

I thought Akinfenwa was retiring the end of this season

12 May 2013 10:17:33
Liam Boyce to join in next couple of weeks

11 May 2013 22:35:15
Oxford United have agreed a deal to sign Sean Clohessy.

11 May 2013 22:34:05
Steve Evans intends to sign 2 strikers in close season and on his radar is Billy McKay of Inverness, free agent Nathan Tyson who was released by Derby, Calvin Zola of Burton, Chris Maguire of Sheffield Wednesday and Leigh Griffiths of Wolves who spent last season on loan at Hibernian.

Billy McKay signed new deal at Ict

Tyson is not on a free.

Tyson is not a free agent. still has a year on his contract but would leave for free

Chris Maguire stay at Sheffield Wednesday next season

11 May 2013 22:35:33
Oxford are massively linked with Jon Otemsboor and expected to sign by Thursday

11 May 2013 22:05:45
Gary Johnson of Yeovil going to Millwall and taking Paddy Madden with him.

Madden linked with leeds

I doubt Johnson would be interested in joining Milwall. After re-building his career at Yeovil he'll want to move forwards, not sideways. Madden still has two years of his contract to run and if he is sold there looks as though there'll be a cue to sign him.

Yeovil to Millwall a sideways move, your having a laugh. Yeovil to Margate sideways move

11 May 2013 22:04:40
Despite wigans fight to survive the drop down to championship football, rumours suggest that Roberto Martinez has been in talks with MSV Duisburg over the signing of Burakcan Kunt

Great name!

11 May 2013 22:31:42
Rotherham manager Steve Evans is likely to raid Peterborough with bids for Tyrone Barnett (who he had at Crawley), Danny Kearns (who spent the second half of last season on loan with the millers) and offering a contract to right back Mark Little.

Money money money show me the money

Steve Evans has already turned down the opportunity to sign Danny Kearns after an injury hit loan spell with the club.

12 May 2013 16:49:02
No way can rotherham afford barnett also he is wanted by bolton

First two maybe, but not Little. Little would be better staying at Posh a team which will fight to up next season.

11 May 2013 21:57:37
Bill kenwright has enquired about the availability of motherwell boss stuart mccoll

Please no

11 May 2013 21:47:16
Salif Diao to sign a one year contract at old club Portsmouth.

Not going to happen. Hasn't played anywhere since May 1012. Too old, not needed. End of.

He is a coach at Stoke. Far too old, This probably isn't true. Sorry PUP

He isn't a coach at stoke, he's back living in liverpool but not working at present

11 May 2013 21:36:35
Walsall are ready to try and bring in Luton Town striker Andre Gray for £125,000

Walsall won't buy any players unless on free transfers

Walsall don't pay out transfer fees so this won't be happening

I absolutely gaurantee you we won't be spending a penny on transfer fees so any talk of 125k is laughable!

Walsall don't splash the cash freebies all the way

11 May 2013 22:04:20
Arsene wenger accepts he needs to spend in summer and has lined up an audacious move for fellow frenchman karim benzema from rm for fee of £32 million

11 May 2013 21:30:29

11 May 2013 21:21:29
Huge news breaking pellegrini has flew in to manchester for advanced talks

11 May 2013 21:19:22
Huddersfield Town will look to bring in

Andrew Crofts
Jordan Mutch
Giorgios Samaras
James Vaughan
Luke Freeman
Alan Judge

Mutch has just gained promotion to the Premier League with Cardiff, dream on.

Wish people would read what the Chairman has said. No more big signings and it's all about development.

That lot would cost millions in wages alone.

Get back down on plant earth.

Samaras has already stated he wants to stay at celtic

12 May 2013 00:28:43
Crofts sucked for Saint Johnstone in the spl

11 May 2013 21:40:38
Any news on whether laudrup wants to make de Guzman a permanent fixture at the liberty next season?

Talk around the Liberty is it is almost done and dusted; definite news next weekend.

11 May 2013 21:16:56
Bristol rovers in talks to bring joss ladabie in permanent deal from notts county joss is good friends with our own oli norburn.

Unlikely as Notts have taken the option to extend Labadie's contract so it will involve a fee which I doubt rovers can afford.

11 May 2013 21:24:12
steve cotterill seen down old kent rd going to millwall

Poor old Millwall if this is true

Andy hessenthaler to be his assistant

Millwall are NOT making a shortlist for the manager's job until the middle if the week. So the whereabouts of any manager us quite irrelevant.

11 May 2013 20:36:06
just had a conversation with boro fanzine editor, his latest rumour is that boro will signing sammy ameobi on three year deal and Kevin Phillips on one year deal, also strongly linked with a move for Matthew upson

Sammy ameobi for three years. That's just what we don't need right now

Phillips is retiring

11 May 2013 20:30:37
Papa Bouba Diop seen at Portsmouth in recent days and speculations that the former Pompey man mountain could return to Fratton Park albeit at a hugely reduced wage compared to previously.

Why is everyone who has ever pulled a Pompey shirt on being linked with the club? Diop wasn't particularly good the 1st time, wasn't much use at Birmingham either. Doesn't fit the youth/younger policy Whits is looking to go for with his signings (over those players used this season).
No going to happen.

Diop likely to sign within the next 24 hours.

Rumour is true papa dioup has been at fratton park recent days

Really hope this does actually happen

I would love Diop to come back, Legend! PUP

Come on papa diop love him be a great signing

Would love him back!

I don't know whether you were all high when watching Diop, but he was useless. He kicked the ball like he had Toblerones for feet. Would be worthless, even in League 2.

11 May 2013 20:29:23
heard fulham are sure to get remy if berbatov leaves

If that's true that'll be great.

12 May 2013 13:21:37
I've heard that Jol may be interested in the Everton job and if he does leave Fulham will be looking at Di Matteo to take over.

We sure need to do something in the summer to improve things because at the moment we are awful. I think we need to bring in 6 or 7 class players so we can push on in the top half of the table.

In my opinion jol has done nothing except systematically dismantle a decent team I would be happy if he left. martinez would be a great choice.

Jol is building a team with no money. Yes he signed Ruiz but not rreally had any money since he needs to be backed by Big Mo this summer. If he has money this summer I would happily put money on a top 8 finish and a trip to Wembley for at least a cup semi final if not a final.

To be honest he had no choice in selling Dempsey and Dembele. Dembele was always going to leave as he is a class player and deserves to be at a better club than Spurs. Dempsey was disliked after he said he wanted to leave and if he stayed it would of made Jol's life a lot harder, so most of the things haven't been his fault but we definately need to improve the squad.

It's been said that if he doesn't get the backing he may leave for another club so I expect Al-fayed to let him spend big and I reckon he will giv him around 35-40 mil with the sales of Dempsey and Dembele included in that. If he does we sure will be stronger and Jol can bring in some classy players.

Jol wants to build a team playing beautiful football great plan but not going to happen with no money that's where his plan fails you have to work with what you've got that's why Roy the Roy was so brilliant. As for the guy who thinks top 8 and a wembley outing for all us ffc supporters I like your optimisum. Hope your right the sooner this season ends the better.

Not really if Jol does get the Financial backing which I think Al-Fayed will give him I think he can build a very good squad capable of top 8. and Wigan got to the final so why can't weif we bring the right players in.

11 May 2013 20:04:58
Norwich City have had a £2.4m bid for Senagalese midfielder Papakouli Diop accepted by Spanish side Levante, after official Norwich club representatives went to Levante on Thursday to agree a deal with the club and the player's agent.

I doubt this will have happened on Thursday. We were still in a relegation dogfight then.

11 May 2013 20:04:19
Wolves goalkeeper Marian Kello is close to agreeing a deal with local rivals Walsall, kello's deal is up this summer following his short term contract with the wanderers

11 May 2013 20:01:59
Charlie Austin linked with Norwich for 5mill after Grant Holts move to QPR

Holt said He will only go to Carlisle. But if he doesn't leave Norwich will get Gary Hooper

Grant Holt is not leaving.

Grant holt is almost certain to leave as he want to go back up north

however I can either seeing norwich signing hooper or a foreign player

Haha QPR fans absolutely hate Grant Holt, along with most other fans. Doubt it'l happen. Would take a punt on Austin but not for 5m sorry.

Holt will stay, he's on dollar $$$$$

11 May 2013 19:57:49
manual pellegrini has confirmed he won't be at malaga next season. mancini's fate was decided long before the F. A cup loss to wigan

11 May 2013 15:39:13
Recently released Huddersfield Town player George Conway will spend time on trial at Oxford United in a bid to earn a contract.

Never heard of him, how old is he?

Think he is 17, just been released from the academy after 2 years on the academy programme.

12 May 2013 10:17:19
he is 18 has been capped at scottish youth level versatile midfielder. oxford do have history of taking towns youth players- leigh franks and shane killock.

And they were both rubbish!
We're signing a few 18 year olds this summer, got 2 recently released by Reading, for a development squad. And really focussing on young talented players recently released by higher league clubs

11 May 2013 19:41:20
Tom sores to sign for leyton orient
By July 1

You mean Tom Soares I assume?

Not good enough.

11 May 2013 19:38:14
Leyton orient to sign matt smith from Oldham for 150k

Never going to happen. Orient never pay cash for anyone. Last time was Wayne gray in '06. Besides slade is smart enough to know even though he scored a few high profile goals it does not make you automatically worth having. He learnt that from tehoue!

Matt Smith is free to leave but it won't be to orient

He's out of contract and besides we don't do "fees".

We leyton orient haven't spend a penny on transfers for years and won't change now, so matt smith if it will cost us won't be coming unless hearn has lost his mind.

He's a free, i'd imagine he'd stay at latics compared to going to another league 1 team. But a few champ and prem clubs are after him, wouldn't begrudge him a move after fa cup money he won for us, as well as scoring vital gosls to keep us up

£150,000! Orient will never pay decent money for a player. The last time Barry Hearn opened his wallet, a white £5 note escaped!

11 May 2013 19:21:49
Evertons next manager will be Roberto Martinez.

Cost them a pretty penny now

11 May 2013 19:06:33
Scunthorpe ins :
joel grant - wycombe
ashley grimes -rochdale
lanre oyebanjo -york
outs:
jimmy ryan-notts county
mark duffy-sheffield utd

11 May 2013 19:01:03
Hull City Ins
CB - Nedum Onuoha - QPR
CM/LM - Andros Townsend - Spurs (Season Loan)
ST - Gedo - Sign after Loan
GK - Paul Robinson - Blackburn
CM/ST - Shaun Maloney - Wigan (If Wigan are Relegated)
RM/RB - Ahmed Elmohamady - Sunderland
CM - Bakary Sako - Wolves
CM - Andy King - Leicester (If Leicester aren't promoted)

One or two will sign, but the rest, sorry, UTT

King wouldn't leave Leicester, especially for Hull.

Onuoha is a very average player and is on £35k a week no way will Hull sign him.

11 May 2013 16:33:03
Swansea City have agreed a deal to sign Ruben Castro for £2m this summer on a 3-year-deal. The Spaniard, 31, had stated previously that he is happy at Real Betis however he has now agreed a deal with Swansea to help Real Betis with the money problems.

Price doesn't sound bad for a player of his quality at his age, but, a 3 year contract for a 31 year old striker? Surely it would be a case of his final stop before retirement?!

I've mixed opinions on this one; could do with the quality up front but at 31 is his best past him? Surely, as he gets older, he's unlikely to get better!

Hopefully swansea are setting sights on a more young energetic forward surely.

Probably more like 1 million Euros as a backup to a more expensive main striker

I hope this is true he has had a really good season in the bbva this year
(swansea fan)

11 May 2013 17:55:40
West brom keeping tabs on Russian league 2nd top scorer with 12 goals, wanderson, the Brazilian has shown great talent in the Russian league and is keen to come to the premier league

After seeing the younger villa players developing to the clubs future I wondered where our future kids are in our club, because when the seasoned pros leave us for bigger money at least the nucleus of kids would pull us through, if villa stay up they will have a better next few seasons than us because of there younger players development

Villa kids? You mean the ones they bought from Sheffield utd Sheffield Wednesday Crewe genk etc

11 May 2013 17:01:28
Bakary Sako from Wolves off to PSG this has came straight from Sako's mouth.

TATA steel have put two offers in for Wolves but Morgan has rejected. TATA steels are very interested in buying out Wolves.

100% reliable sources watch this space!

I'd be surprised if this is true, pleased for him though. Seems very grounded as a player which is rare but nice to have.

12 May 2013 02:35:55
The TATA people have repeatedly said that they are not interested in buying a football club.

11 May 2013 17:41:31
Stoke are looking to bid for Brighton Trio for £9 million
Liam Bridcutt
Will Buckley
Ashley Barnes

Sorry but Bridcutt is likely worth 9 million alone.

As if. The guy isn't that good

Well he is?

Stoke would never buy Barnes and Bridcutt is probably worth 5million + as he is so young

Bridcutt is out of contract mate

12 May 2013 10:51:12
Bridcutt is worth 10 million at least, and that's coming from a palace fan, swallowing my pride. I'd say he's world class, watching him last Friday he was different class

Even if he's out if contract he will sign another one without hesitation!

Bridcutt has another season on his contract. This has been done to death

Bird cut isn't out of contract!

Why do people randomly claim someone is out of contract? Bridcutt has a contract up until June 2015.

12 May 2013 23:00:53
Bridcutt has 2 years left on his contract, get your facts right

Stoke players have done well 4 us by keeping us in the prem this long ' when people had us down 2 be relegated straight away ' I think pulis should stop buying players that are injury prone or players that have little/no premiership experience. I think with Owen retiring I would like 2 c Defoe 'and a good defender' at the end of the day if we are 2 stay in the prem we need 2 b finishing in the top half as the premier league is getting tighter and tighter every season

I really think some people (not everyone) make up things they want 2 believe ' there that many people saying different things 'im really not being funny ' but we should have more faith in our clubs/managers ' i'm sure they know way they r doing

11 May 2013 17:02:11
Heard the deal for Elmohamady is close, could be completed as early as next week

11 May 2013 16:57:33
Darren Randolph Motherwell keeper signing for Birmingham City
Butland must be joining a Premiership team
Wee Ally {Ed003's Note - considering he signed for Stoke in January I think you might be onto something Ally.}

Well not according to Chick Young on Sportsound. He says he is signing for Birmingham, take it your on about Butland?
Wee Ally

Butland has joined Stoke.
He is on loan at Birmingham, which was part of the deal.

Yeah, bit slow on the info about Birmingham goalies, the only question is where does Asmir B go, man united were apparently interested BUT now Moyes is lined up maybe not? Stoke need to cash in some mediocre players, cut wage bills and realise some capital, of which Begovic is one good, 10-15mil goal keeper.

11 May 2013 17:20:52
Brighton Ins: (£14. 55m)

Will Hoskins (Yeovil Town) Free
Craig Mackail-Smith (Norwich) 2m
Vicente (Zaragoza) 1.1m
Ryan Harley (Exeter City) 300k
Total Loss (£-10. 35m

The sea air has gone to
your brain

We couldn't afford Ryan Harley if he was 30 quid!!

Well done Wigan from burnley can't understand why your so low down in the league but good luck

Vicente will stay with Brighton

I reckon that Harley could come back to us but not for 300k we have no money

Norwich won't wont CMS any more

also granero is at qpr and been at real madrid so probably has stupidly high wages which brighton couldn't afford

Vicente out of contract! free!

1.1 mill for vicente is very good buisness concidering he's a free agent in the summer lol who ever wrote these needs to learn a few things about the club

No chance norwich will buy smith! More likely we'll go for Rhodes, hooper or kone if Wigan go down! This is obviously on the basis we stay up which could be decided tomorrow! Fingers crossed

Stuani to Brighton? Come on!
Also Hammond is worth a fair bit more than 150k!

Vicente will stay and he isn't worth that much as we won't sell Mackail smith for 2 million when we bought him for 3 mIllion

12 May 2013 09:55:02
As for Stoke they need to do business, not win glory.
Some players need to get a transfer windfall before they fall off the edge in 12 months time and become valueless.
E. G. Crouch, could get 4-5 mill, leave it 12 months maybe nil, let Harry R have his old flame back.
Wilkinson, Shotton, Upson, Whitehead the same, better to go than get ousted by some new signing this summer so will want to get a first team championship place rather than subs premiership seat and a transfer windfall. some of these just not up to premiership quality.
Walters is great, TP likes him a lot but again, transfer windfall during career adds a $mill onto his pension before some euro star gets brought in. doubt it though.
Nash, don't know what he does,? moved to coaching.
Palacios, TP doesn't like him, will be gone and to be frank was a waste of money. Subs bench doesn't add value to anyone, so wasted purchase.
Owen? bit like mantle piece clock, nice to look at thinking of old times, no use nor ornament, waste of money in reality, stick to the gee gees!
Doubt if Jones will move, TP likes him. not sure why.
there you have it, likes of Shawcross, Huth, Adams, Nzonzi, Kightly, Walters, Camerons all add value and play well, the rest take or leave. Yet to bring in Ness, Shea to any degree. exciting times.

Ridiculous even talking about Brighton ins or outs until you see what you can do in the playoffs. None of this is worth the hot air it uses til then. If you stay in the championship you'll be fighting to retain your existing players, not spending 14 million on outgoings.

Good luck getting Hugo Mallo or Granero! They'll be looking for more prestige football.

Haha Granero! Hilarious.

I know Brighton will be signing a few players this year but bloody hell man, where is that money coming from?

11 May 2013 17:14:30
Huddersfield are trying to Sign James Vaughan (Norwich) Frankie Fielding (Derby) Lee Tomlin (Peterborough) and Keith Fahey (BIrmingham)

K Boyd and McFadden would be a lethal partnership at championship level, know each others game. Especially if they were supported bye Driver and McCourt on the wings. McFadden and McCourt in the same team, would be a joy to watch. Boyd got 12 goals the last time he was in the championship for the season. And McFadden went up when he was with Birmingham City. Any championship team would pack a punch linking them up. Players like McFadden and McCourt get bums off seats. And have the skill to open up defences and do something special. Best thing is that they are all for free. Meaning cash could be spent on defence.

And also apparently Simeon Jackson!

Vaughn will not be sold until the club know what league they will be in. If we stay up then there is a possibility but won't be till end of the summer once CH or a new manager has evaluated his progress.

If we are champ next year he will pear up with holt and Jackson nicely. If we stay up then this is more chance of him being sold as hughton has other striker targets in mind.

Norwich are signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel, already agreed, hence why you're looking to sell Vaughan and Jackson

Are hudds still owed money from norwich as part of pilkington transfer?

So Norwich are short of strikers and we're signing one and letting go of two? Wow.

Seen the Tomlin rumour a few times, can't see it happening.

11 May 2013 17:12:17
If Newcastle get relegated, it is possible that papiss Cisse is off to Arsenal or Spurs. Meanwhile, Steve Bruce is looking at the possibility of signing Cabaye and Danny Simpson

Cant see them 2 improving hulls squad shouldn't buy from a side struggling and could get relegated bruce will have learn't his lesson from his time at sunderland

What absoltue persons you 2 are? either mackems or people who prefer rugby to football. persons!

Theres more chance of me signing for Hull than Cabaye

11 May 2013 17:08:01
Ex Aston Villa striker Darius Vassell is to join league one side Walsall on a player / coaching role

Vassell has not had a team since he was released from Leicester in the summer of 2012 following an injury but has been working on his coaching badges and fitness since

11 May 2013 15:55:13
Cardiff City are looking into signing Wigans top goal scorer Arouna Kone if Wigan are relegated from the Premier League

Hope so good striker with pace

11 May 2013 18:00:03
i thought this too but only if wigan go doon

Chruch is going to Swindon

11 May 2013 16:20:37
Koumas set for a return to Tranmere

Honestly? Wow, I'm struggling to contain myself with the excitement. Word on the street is that Jennings, Hill, Roberts, Buchanan & Aldo will be joining him! Suwarmy

Koumas was a quality player but he`s a bad egg and hasn't played professional football since last season. Tranmere are all about team spirit an he wouldn't fit in

Aldo? Haha! Jennings would be a good 1. can't see Hill being possible. This roumer is from an actual Tramere Rovers resource tho. Not saying it's completely true

11 May 2013 16:20:33
Richard Chaplow and David Norris to join Burnley next week

Hope so, Norris is tragic, take him off our hands please!

11 May 2013 16:15:33
Saint Mirren keeper Craig Samson signing for Motherwell, as replacement for Darren Randolph. Will be playing in the champions league qualifiers
Wee Ally

I think your find that it is the Europa league qualifiers we are playing in not the champions league.

11 May 2013 16:07:05
Danny kedwell could be involved in a deal with burton including jaques magahoma and billy kee

11 May 2013 17:12:05
kedwell is a carthorse who is a second division player at best.

Agree, carthorse, not wanted at Burton.

11 May 2013 15:25:38
Rene Howe and his agent held talks with Fleetwood Town yesterday. Howe favours a move North and will consider terms over the weekend.

11 May 2013 15:06:14
Oxford have held advanced talks with several players and had them looking at the facilities.
Sean Clohessey, Sergio Toress and Joe Devera have held talks.
Wilder interested in talking to Jon Ostemobor, Matt Sparrow and Darren Carter.
The club are expecting to hear from Deane Smalley and Scott Davies early next week about their offers.
And hoping to make at least one new signing before next weekend.

I saw Sean Clohessey at the kassam on tuesday morning with Ostemobor, and Rene Howe is very much in Oxford's sites.

Clohessey AND Ostemobor at Kassam together.
I guess we'll sign the cheapest then, as they're both right backs, and we only want/need 1.
I'd be happy with either tbh

Joe Devera is a RB too.

11 May 2013 14:53:31
Moyes targets
Fellaini 23m
Baines 15m
Lewandowski 27m
Bale 60m
Ronaldo 65m

That would be awesome

Don't b silly, all down hill now moyes is in,

So man united are going to spend just under £200m? Sure.

11 May 2013 14:47:53
New Donaster manager will be either Aidy Boothroyd or Phil Parkinson depending on who is promoted, the team who stays down will probably lose their manager

11 May 2013 14:42:55
Vaughan of Norwich returned off his holidays.

Huddersfield, Charlton and Derby County interested.

All will come down to who can offer Norwich and Vaughan the most money. Derby seem his most likely suitors

He only left last monday on holiday. Do not see Huddersfield losing out if the other clubs involved are Derby and Charlton.

Yes he's bck from his holidays, can't see charlton in the running for some reason, hopefully we can get him along with simeon jackson and lee tomlin

Derby and Charlton will offer him more with money and ambition, The guy above is deluded.

11 May 2013 17:13:50
huddersfield already in talks with norwich weeks ago and vaughn wants to come could only see us losing out to prem team not those two
true terrier

Out of the 3 clubs Derby are the biggest Charlton and Huddersfield have only just being promoted and Derby always spend 1m on a player a year so it may well be Vaughan and would the other 2 be able to match that however Vaughan has played for Hudds this yr so anything could happen but I believe it between them 2 and not Charlton

Is it the shortest ever holiday then, having only left monday? Coming to town anyway!

Can't see him returning to Huddersfield. Think he's too good for us and don't think we could afford his wages.

Same can be said for the other two clubs though. Think one of the divisions big spenders will get him.

If Norwich go down don't see him going anywhere.

Haha you serious? where did hudders and derby finish in the league?

He`s definitely back off his hols, he tweeted it today!

Mate I am a Rams fan, and it pee's me off about some fans think we are on par with clubs like Leeds etc. Granted a decent history and a hardcore of loyal fans, but I would not be surprised rato of away fans to home fans we might come bottom this pile. Split on this as Clough sees something in Vaugh but injury prone.

Think we are being linked with Alan Judge the Irish messi but Ipswich the favourites.

Let's be honest. If he were moving based purely on ambition, he would go to Derby. Huddersfield barely avoided relegation and Charlton, without a doubt, overperformed. Fair play to them but, looking at their squad, I can't see them replicating it again next season. Derby are on the up.

Huddersfield finished 3 points behind Derby so don't waffle about ambition. Derby have been treading water for years in this division under Clough, Huddersfield were finding their feet in a new division & were only 10 points off the playoffs!

Basing it on ambition Derby should be the last of the 3 he'd go to. Ambition should really be gauges on recent achievements, which Hudds and Charlton both have a promotion while derby have been mid-table championship since they were relegated from the BPL. So on ambition I'd say Charlton, Hudds then Derby

That's because we (Derby) don't have the money. But our owners have stated that the aim of next season is the play offs

All three clubs are very similar end of.

Derby have sorted themselves out finally in terms of getting rid of the overpaid premiership era players and will now be looking to push on with some good recruits this summer.

Charlton recently promoted with a manager who has done a fantastic job with the resources available. They will be looking to take that step-up now as well.

Huddersfield also recently promoted and a lack of stability has cost them this season and they ended up being drawn into a relegation battle but same as the other two they will be looking for top 8 and an outside playoff chance.

Derby do have the biggest fan base, best stadium, training facilities and academy. However to the derby fans there, this does not mean you have any right to be more ambitious than Charlton and Huddersfield. All three teams will be similar financially unless Derby County sell their midfielder Will Hughes for reported 8-10 million.

So the competition for his signature will be very good and interesting to keep track of. Whichever club gets him it will be a massive coup and a sign of real intent.

Interesting point of view about ambition. I guess this summer will be the acid test for the Derby board. It seems that we can't go on losing 7 million a year so at some point we might have to go for it to get to the ahem promised land.

Derby have a better Acadamy!? Charlton's Acadamy won the south U18 league and south U21 league and the U21's went on to win the national final. The U13's won the national championships. Charlton have produced three players in the last three years that play for Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool, have Derby done that? 8-10 million for Will Hughes, you've been playing too much Football Manager! To add to that you finished below us in the league.

I don't think James Vaughan will sign for Huddersfield Town. I was in the hospitality suite after the Barnsley game and listened to an interview with him. Not surprisingly, it was very non-committial but body language says a lot and he didn't once look the interviewer in the eye. I would make an offer and turn attention elsewhere if he doesn't appear keen. About time these players were managed a little tougher - they may appreciate the priviledge of being a professional footballer in comparison with the majority of the working public struggling in these tough economic times

To the guy who had a go about the Derby County academy.

Will Hughes is valued at around 7-10 million, not too sure why you think otherwise? this isn't derby fans being personic saying he is the next Messi or something ridiculous like football manager. It simply is his market value. He is English so the price will be high anyway, he is on a long term contract, there is interest from not just 4 or 5 clubs but about 10 or 11. I think you would be a fool to argue his value otherwise. He plays for england under 21s at the age of 17. The youngest under 21 player besides Walcott if that is anything to go by. Barcelona have made a personal scouting dossier on him, Roberto Manchini sent his right hand man David Platt all the way to Brighton to watch him instead of a scouting team.

As for the derby academy, they beat Manchester City in the youth cup who had spent 7 million on their under 18s and narrowly lost out to Chelsea in the next round.

Jeff Hendrick republic of ireland international, Will Hughes, Mason Bennett, Mark Obrien have nearly 200 caps between them, academy products.

Also why does league position matter in terms of who has the better football academy?

Finally it might be a good idea to sell Jonjo Shelvey, Carl Jenkinson and Rob Elliot for more money and then you wouldn't be in an average position in a poor league like we are. Look at Southampton, sold Bale, Walcott, the Ox then two promotions after buying a squad capable.

I would like to end this debate on a lighter note though. Derby and Charlton are in very similar positions and the two managers are doing fantastic jobs going about things the right way, through building youth products instead of administration risking spending.

Agreed, just had to say a responce to the first comment saying that Derby's acadamy was better. To say we are in very similar positions is a fair comment.

Plymouth Argyle set to resign Reuben Reid on a 1 year deal after boss John Sheridan was impressed with his performances whilst spending time on loan at the Devon club.

Why don't think he was good

He was potentially the most useless player have ever had, lazy and couldn't finish! Tyler harvey was by far better

What 1 in 10 goalscorer.

Some of our fans really are clueless. Reid was played up front on his own. This role is not so much about goal scoring, but holding the ball up and bringing others in to play. Reid did very well for us. Don't judge him on goals when he is up front on his own.

Person that said Harvey was better is totally clueless, Harvey had one good game and looked totally out of his depth in all the rest, Reid was a good target man and NOT lazy he was crucial to us staying in the league and set up Banton on countless occasions only for Banton the majority of the time to miss, without Reuben we'd have gone down.

I agree most of the time I saw Reid he was a work horse you don't need to score lots of goals to be a good striker sure they help but it's also how you bring the rest of the team into the game and make chances for others and that's what he was good at

Doncaster are set to place a new manager by the end of next week when the Premier League season ends as they are waiting to approach Phil Neville.

Also they have enquired about Dundee United duo Johnny Russel and Gary Mackay-Steven with the fee to be expected around £2,000,000 for both.

2 million for both, in your dreams. Also both are good enough to play at a higher level, its why the Sicilians have already bid for Russell. David Goodwillie cost £2 million he had a year to run on his deal like him. Why would they let a better player go for less? And GMS is signed up, so they would want even more for him. Maybe double the £2 million maybe more, as the guys quality. Wee McGeady cost £9 million, he is is the same quality as him might even have more skill.

Phil Neville to be Moyes assistant at united

I'm sure I read that Phil Neville will be part of the new coaching team at Utd under Moyes.

Why do people think we are going to be spending millions? Next to never done that and why would we want a person who has never managed a club in his life stfu

I can't see Miles Storey go to York I think he's going to be a first team regular as much as the STFC forwards are good players, its only Miles that knows where goal is. If he does go on loan he'll do well.

Cardiff Possible signings:

Hal Robson-Kanu (Reading)
Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn)
Johnny Heitinga (Everton)
Matej Vydra (Watford currently on loan from Udinese)

Reading don't need to sell anyone

Vydra, HAHA!

Hal Robson-Kanu (Reading)

He's one of the only players who might want away but we don't need to sell and Adkins wants him so it'd take some offer

No chance in signing Vydra.

You might not need to sell, however your better players will want to stay in the premier league.

Cardiff wouldn't be able to sign Vydra as the Pozzos would want at least £20 million for him, they don't sell young players cheaply.

Couldn't afford Vydra

You might not need to sell, however your better players will want to stay in the premier league.

Not necessarily. Loyal players are few and far between these days but HRK is coming out with all the right sound bites right now about staying (yes I appreciate in football what was said can change in a heart beat). My ultimate point is we don't need to sell for money and he's still in contract, it'll cost you

12 May 2013 11:04:04
why would we need robson-kanu he had a half decent second half of the season but he's one of the most inconsistent footballers in the premier league

Vydra could go to Everton, as Malky just can't stop signing Watford players.

His up turn in form is down to Adkins a manager who knows how to utilise him. Used properly he is a cracking player.

Vydra is good but he is not worth 20 mill. worth around 5

Haha ok name one player Malky has signed this season from Watford? tbh Watford fans are still bitter and I find it hilarious but good luck to Watford in the play off final I prefer them to come up

Manager Sean O Driscoll is set to leave Bristol city for wolves!

Why go to a smaller club

Wolves are a far bigger club that bristol city.

You would think Wolves would learn their lesson about recruiting managers who've just taken a side down

12 May 2013 00:39:23
Sure Wolves are a bigger club than Bristol City, but Bristol City have more potential. Just look at the size of Bristol compared to Wolverhampton.

Bristol being the bigger city doesn't mean they have better potential. 41 million in debt isn't very good potential.

SOD moving to Wolves?

Has there ever been a better oppertunity to use the phrase "out of the frying pan and in to the fire"?

Wolves and SOD would be mental to make that play. I am not even sure I am happy with him at City.

Ipswich town interested in a loan move for Becchio from rivals Norwich football club, if not Doyle will be joining ipswich along with
Steerman
Judge
Henry
Skuse
Adomah

Mick also wants Kenny McLean of Saint Mirren, young Scotland under 21 international creative midfielder. And Berra for free the Scotland centre back.

Considering the poor quality loan signings this season I highly doubt becchio or Doyle will join Ipswich. Kisnorbo is a prime example, used to be god for leeds now pat it

We will not loan a player of norwich in a million years

This morning's EADT says we're after Harry Forrester from Brentford. I'd love to see it happen but doubt we could afford him with several other clubs interested.

11 May 2013 22:34:28
Not a chance Norwich will loan out to Ipswich

Ha this won't happen. Becchio has a future at Norwich after a decent showing when he came on.

If Oxford manager leaves for Sheffield United then Oxford will approach former Notts County manager Keith Curle

The best of luck to him.

Don't want wilder, he's done nowt. this football club is going backwards if they appoint him. can anybody remember that 5 year plan plastered all over back of star about 8 years ago. regular top 10 finishes and euoropean football. what happened then. if i'm not mistaken, we've gone tother way.

Hull City looking to bring in Titus Bramble for a reported 2.5 million quid

Would not fit in the team as faye and bramble are to slow to be partners as centreback

What a stupid post, no one would pay that for him.

He's out of contract so would be free!

11 May 2013 12:17:06
Hull City summer signigns

IN:
Ahmed Elmohamady- Sunderland- Permanent deal
Bakary Sako- Wolves- £2.4m
Adam Le Fondre- Reading- £2.5m
Curtis Davies- Birmingham- £2m
Michael Turner- Norwich- £1.8m (if Norwich are relegated)
DJ Campbell- QPR- £1m
David Stockdale- Fulham- £1.2m

Sako will cost £5M not half that especially as they spent near £3.5M on him and the fact he was their best player by far this year voted it too!

All good singings apart from DJ

11 May 2013 14:04:33
DJ Campbell has signed for Blackburn as part of the loan deal!

£2.5m won't get le fondre, try doubling that

Why would DJ Campbell come to City after the reception he got, we don't need him anyway!

ALF £2. 5M? Yeah when pigs fly.

Not a chance dj campbell will wear a tigers shirt while bruce is about. Money grabber! Others would be good although prices will be way way higher

Dj is not even good enough for league 1

Adam Le Fondre- Reading- £2.5m

That's just the first months instalment right? If we can sell long for six then ALF is worth more!

Turner would be worth way more than 1.8m.
the way Norwich has been run, if they did go down they would not be in need to sell, they have kept the books balanced so they could keep the team despite the division (even though they are now Mathematically safe. )

11 May 2013 12:36:04
Richard Chaplow to re join Burnley from Southampton

Burnley can't afford his wages.

Richard Chaplow's wages probably aren't that high. He's not a main team player at a club where it is known they aren't happy to pay high wages that some Premiership clubs will go up to regardless of their wealthy owners.

Chaplow + Fox + Cash for Austin? wouldn't mind it?

11 May 2013 12:29:27
Oxford United linked heavily with former Stoke City and Bury midfielder Tom Soares and also looking at a possible deal to bring in recently released Julio Arca

The same Julian Arca whose been out injured for 13months?
We are going no where near players with recent injury problems. We've moaned about injuries for 2 years. And putting new players through extensive medicals before signing.
So Arca will definitely not be joinging Oxford

11 May 2013 12:27:03
Lee Molyneux has turned down an improved deal from Accrington and is going for talks with Sheffield United.

Apparently he has signed a pre contract with Fleetwood but I would happily welcome him at the Blades. Cracking left foot

I have heard him mentioned before hopefully a good player

Could be a good sigining however we need to work on getting fowards, someone who can get goals game in game out

He started out as a left back but is now playing as a left winger with 9 goals in last 12 games. Definitely be able to add some quality and hunger to our team

11 May 2013 12:26:49
Wolves have 3 possible managers: Owen Coyle, Gary Rowett and Gary Johnson

Hands off rowett

11 May 2013 12:24:14
Bolton are going into talks with Jermaine Beckford and are interested in Reading's Gareth McCleary

Why would mcclearly go from one championship team to another, plus reading don't need to sell players

11 May 2013 12:24:14
Bolton are going into talks with Jermaine Beckford and are interested in Reading's Gareth McCleary

Probably our most consistent winger this season and now playing regularly under Adkins. McCLeary won't be sold

We don't need McCleary

Reading won't sell key players to any championship sides

11 May 2013 12:23:36
huddersfield linked with simoen jackson and tomlin whilst beckford is linked with a £1mil move to bolton, doesn't any one else think we should give academy players a chance to come through? such as danny carr or duane holmes who are waiting in the wings?

We need good players. If the academy players are any good they will get a chance. No ppint relying on them otherwise we will be in trouble before we even start

No we need strikers, only got 1 senior striker atm! tomlin, jackson and vaughan would do nicely!

Holmes is a star in waiting but he is a winger and stands at around five feet three, Carr has to make a big step up from non league so we do need proven mature signings in the striker department. Jackson and Tomlin along with Vaughan would be a strong attack for sure.

No, they will get their chance when they are good enough

Who are you their family, when they deserve the chance they will get it

11 May 2013 14:10:32
Why spend money when McFadden and K Boyd are there for free?Even big Higdon Scottish player of the year is free, and is top scorer in the league. Any funds we have should be focused on signing a new back four. And if Smithies leaves Neil Alexander would be a great free to repace him, really good keeper. Still got a few more years left to play championship level, at a high standard.

11 May 2013 14:25:21
Andy Driver would be a good winger, another guy who will be free. Is playing out in America just now, as Hearts can't pay his wages. He is over his injuries and at one time Burnley offered £4 MILLION for him. If he done well he is young enough to sell on. Paddy McCourt at Celtic will be free to, another guy with plenty of talent if you keep him in shape. The two of them would be good at championship levels. Also Humphrey is free at Motherwell, he has electric pace but his delivery could be better and worked on. The other two do not have that problem, and have the skill to toast full backs.

Wouldn't mind the 2 signings, youth has to come through, but let them play a league game first, quality bit better than they are used to.

11 May 2013 16:11:49
Driver has played in the champions league and in Europe. So has McCourt think they have played at a much higher level. Look how awful Birmingham done in Europe. The idea that the championship is a much higher level is laughable. It just has more teams in it, and many are really ordinary who play dull football. In Scotland most teams play good football, on the deck that is attacking and exiting. Its just that there is no money in it, so the clubs bring through there own young players and give them a chance early, some really good young players at all the teams all over the SPL.

Of course we should I totally agree, but only IF they are good enough. We don`t want the team overloaded with them either, some championship experience and quality also vital. I have my doubts at this time as to what the quality required in the academy is as of now, ie can they compete championship wise?

Don't kid me, seen scottish football and it is dull, the younger players only seem to be good players because they are playing against rubbish. a lot of players in the Scottish football had their chance in English football and failed. most of them failed at league 1 level.

11 May 2013 18:03:54
Really as that seems a very big list above. And championship winning mince such as Steven Crainey is not even in it. Dobbie scored goals in two championship play of finals and went up. He had Beattie in the same Swansea side that went up. Another player not on the list. Its easy to slag the game in Scotland, but if its so bad why are English clubs going after players there every year in Premiership and championship?Guys like Dorrans and Snodgrass were stars in the championship, one went up and another got sold there. Even Bednar got goals in the championship and for Hearts. And McFadden went up with Birmingham, he went down as he mist half a season out injured in the Premiership. And Boyd got 12 goals the last time he was there, just never settled. Go watch McFadden score against Macedonia and tell me he is not good enough to shine at that level. Never mind goals against Spain, Holland, France, Ukraine

11 May 2013 12:23:03
Rotherham united to sign billy McKay on a 3 year deal from Inverness manager steve evans has watched him around 3 times this year

Sounds good and this name has been knocked about a bit so I don't know how trust worthy this is. Be a good signing though.

~deMiller

Marlon Pack to sign 3 year contract with Rotherham United, Mark Little to also sign 3 year contract with the Millers.

Why would we sign another midfielder unless the plan is to sell one of our best players.

Marlon pack won't sign we have too much quality in midfield already

11 May 2013 12:17:23
Middlesbrough have been linked with a move for Gary Taylor fletcher

Would be a poor signing, unless its a free transfer. He's getting on a bit at 31

11 May 2013 12:12:48
Former Burnley and Bolton boss Owen Coyle to be appointed Wolves manager next week

Good luck to any team who takes on Coyle he left Bolton in a complete mess. No structure, no backroom team, no scientific rehab methods of looking and developing players, no strategy in place for how we are going to take on our opponents only ping pong.

To be fair to Coyle, if every player buys into his positive spin & hype, you will get a good cup run and play some really smooth attacking football. Best I have ever seen recently at Burnley.
But he does have a 2 year shelf life, basically once everyone stops buying into his positivity there is no plan B. and he doesn't really do defending, but if you can score more than you concede it is really entertaing stuff.

But also neither Burnley or Bolton let him spend his way out of trouble, which on both accounts he might have done. Probably the perfect manager to get Wolves positive again.

11 May 2013 11:54:42
it is thought Derby have made a bid of 650k for James Vaughn (add ons expected to be upto 150k). however Norwich are waiting to see if Huddersfield can match the price.

if Derby fail to capture Alex baptise they will turn too Crawley defender Connolly (Charlton also interested)

Tyson possibly to Oldham and I've seen legzdins (gk) linked with a move too Sheffield Wednesday if Kirkland moves on.

Would be a great signing but I don't think they will let him go on a permanent may be a loan

Tyson to oldham, I wish. No chance of getting him i'm afraid {Ed034's Note - you don't want him. Big headed, self obsessed and made out of glass

Ed, what makes you say he's self obsessed and big headed. We've not seen that at Derby (though we've not seen that much of him at all really!)

Frankly, nothing will happen with either Hudds or Derby until the BPL season has finished next week. However, I can only see him moving permanently to Huddersfield, especially with Pilkington being at Norwich having told him what the club was like before he agreed to the loan deal last season. Money will talk for Norwich, but to an extent, the club looking to buy will dictate where he goes.

Pilkington will talk up Hudders, but the issue is that he left, so he won't sell it completely, and they're not the same club as they were 2 years ago. Whereas if Vaughan talked to his mate Chris Martin (moved from Norwich to Derby) there would be more reason to listen as he would be able to sell the club as they are now.

I am surprised at that. Made of Glass true. However it seems everbody who has come across him at Derby says he is a really sound bloke. All I can say by his interviews on Radio he came across as a decent man

Why does anyone need to 'sell' Huddersfield to Vaughan when he's just spent the past season there and enjoyed his stay? He knows very well how the club is operating and what the fans are like! No one needs to 'sell' the club to him.

Jesus 650k for Vaughan, what planet are you on? We paid nearly 3m for the guy. Do one.

11 May 2013 11:48:03
Derby look in pole position to sign James Vaughan after Hudds pull out.

Huddersfields new targets include Simeon Jackson, Darius Henderson and Lee Tomlin

We havnt pulled out tho, 650k is well cheap, we would pay 1 mil and the other strikers are to help as we have only 1 senior stikers atm so need more than just novak and hopefully vaughan

Town are trying to sign Vaughan and Jackson not one or the other. Watch this space.

^ can't afford wages. On 35k a week at Norwich and demanding 30k in champ

It all comes down to wages.

And Darius Henderson is past it

Saints transfers this summer:
In- Joan Verdu, Adrian Lopez, Victor Ruiz and a la liga left back to compete with Shaw.

Out- Sharp, Guly, Chaplow, Richardson, Hooiveld, Fox, De Ridder and Tadanari Lee.

Be nice to get some British players if any of this is true, surely we must still
be bringing some of our own through.

Leicester are close to sealing a £1.5million swoop for Burnley defender Kieran Trippier

1.5 mill? It'll cost you a lot more for the best right back in the league

12 May 2013 09:27:28
hes worth 5 times as much as that

Put another 3.5 million on that

11 May 2013 11:00:46

Reading possible ins:

Chris Humphrey (Motherwell)
Guly (Southampton)
Fox (Southampton)
Gayle (Peterborough)
Tate (Swansea)

+ another couple more I would expect in the attacking midfield areas

Probable outs:

McCarthy (Chelsea)
Andersen (Wolves)
Pearce (Liverpool)
Gorkss (Leeds)
Harte (Leeds)
Mills (Swindon)
Tabb (Ipswich)
Leigertwood (Leeds)
Robson-Kanu (Cardiff)
Le Fondre (West Brom
Church (Doncaster)
Williams (Portsmouth)

Shorey, Hunt, Pogrebnyak, Guthrie and Roberts are all set to stay.

Not a chance we'll be signing Harte mate, got three left backs better than him already.

Please Mr Adkins, please take Guly and Fox, thankyou, and good luck with
Reading.

Guly and Fox? If that happens I'll be over the moon, we need to improve the team for next season. Good luck to them and Adkins at Reading.

Tabb is a done deal

Only players reading will sell are the ones who are not up to scratch, you're welcome to them if that's the case

I'd take Harte just for his corners and I'm a donny fan when they played us his corners were under the cross bar every single time! Never seen anything like it

11 May 2013 16:45:41
Heard a lot about Gary Hooper coming to Hawthorns is this TRUE?

Anderson to Wolves? He's too good for them. Juve were sniffing round the kid and you think he's going to WoLOLves.

Brett Williams to Pompey? not likely unproven striker and born in southampton

Haha hope donny
do get church

Fox is a class act in the championship, awful in the prem as he does not have the time to use his best quality. crosses and long passes. good luck to him! Guly on the other hand. pffft have him!

I can guarantee you one think from all that tosh Shorey will not be staying!

Doesn't matter where Brett is born. If he can love Pompey, and show passion and love for the fans. The that's all we ask. We like Connolly and he was at Southampton. Why not get him down at Fratton Park, and see how he does. You never know, he might end up Top goalscorer. PUP

Can't see mills coming to Swindon however it would be nice as he would be coming home being a Swindon boy born and bread his mum a dad still live in lydiard and two of his brothers, one is currently traveling around Australia.

Preston north end are after striker Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Defensive midfielder Keith Southern

You honestly think that PNE could pay these 2 more wages than they are on at Blackpool & Huddersfield?

Gnasher still has 1 year left on his contract at Huddersfield and is on around £10k a week. way above your pay scale

Gary Taylor Fletcher is available. but I doubt he would drop down to League 1 again because of the money and who you are.

Waite a minute didn't southern drop down a league to play for huddersfield?. and I wouldn't want taylor-fletcher anyway he's crap.

Shows how much you know lol. No he didn't drop down a league to play for Huddersfield and he won't be going anywhere! Even if he was going anywhere do you really think a Blackpool legend would go to Preston?

Middlesbrough are pondering a summer move for Blackburn's Norwegian international winger Josh King, 21.

Young lad with a lot of talent, and always injured so perfect for boro. Although in sure he just signed for Blackburn?

Stoke city to sign Alex Grant and Jed Wallace after they both agreed terms with the Potters

The Boro Ins and Outs are

Ins :

Chris Solly (Charlton)
Jacques Maghoma (Burton Albion)
Samba Sow (Lens)
Javier Acuna (Real Madrid B)
Alan Judge (Free)

Out :

Bikey (Free)
McManus (Free)
Dyer (Free)
Bailey (Free)
Zemmama (Transfer) Intersted - Wolves, Charlton, Aberdeen
Emnes (Transfer) Intrested - Swansea, ADO Den Haag
Cameron Park (Loan) Boro want no less than League 1
Scott McDonald (Transfer) Need to cut down on the £30,000 a week, if he goes we could bring in 6 decent players for that or 3 really good.

Emnes is simply not good enough for Swansea City. Why does this silly OLD rumour popup all the time?

Dont want emnes anymore

Wishful thinking from a Boro fan. Emnes will not move to Swansea, Boro blew that opportunity when they recalled him from loan two and a half years ago. You won't get any money out of ADO Den Haag.

Solly won't move to a team in the same division, he may go if he has the option to move up a league.

Emnes can't play prem football

Solly going Boro? ha best RB in this league, certain he's going to leave this summer but only to a premer league club. joining Boro would be a massive step down

doncaster are to sign

simon ferry rafeal di vita from swindon and andres wieenman on loan from aston villa I know this cuase I work
for donny

Weimann's played 28 league games for Villa this season. Why would he drop down to the championship?

I agree, although I would love to see him at the Keepmoat, Weinmann will not go to Donny. What do you work as there? Cause I hope this is true!

Why would a Villa 1st team player go out on loan?

Not a chance. Weimann too good & needed at Villa

potential transfers for the summer,

ashley williams + cash for andy carroll
peter whittingham to stoke city £4 mil
loic remy to fulham £8.5 mil
peter odemwingie to brighton £2.5 mil
wayne rooney to psg £22 mil
darren bent to cardiff city £8 mil
jordan rhodes to hull city - £8.5 mil
charlie austin to brighton - £ 3.5 mil

No way odemwingy will come to brighton he only wanted to go to qpr for the money

Well if Berba does leave in the summer, Fulham will be looking for a new striker and Remy would be a great player to get.

Hull will not be paying anywhere near 8.5m for anyone.

Berba won't leave and I would not want Remy at Fulham. Rather have Bony and let Arsenal have Remy

I disagree I would like Bony as well as Remy so we have 3 first choice strikers if Berba doesn't leave. And Remy would offerpace up front whcih Fulham don't have.

cardiff city are understood to be looking at the availability of managers if malky mackay is offered the everton job and decides to accept. according to a member of support staff at cardiff names being mentioned include chris powell, roberto di matteo and martin o'neil. however a very real option for cardiff apparently is the promotion of craig bellamy to player manager.

11 May 2013 09:26:34
Huddersfield Town are approaching players Simeon Jackson from Norwich and Lee Tomlin from newly relegated Peterborough united

Jackson will be good for hudds, end of contract here at the end of the season, and I can't see either side wanting to renew (unless we somehow end up going down instead of wigan. )

Jackson would be good but it seems like we are always linked with him and never put bids in

Jackson wages too high.

barnsley to sign michael choppra

Here's hoping, he is useless! Doubt it on 18k a week at itfc. from itfc supporter

I personally can't see chopra coming to Barnsley mainly because of wages he is on. If he does come then I will stand every fan in oakwell on their first home match a pint.

He'll not get 18k a week at barnsley, where not that daft!!
But we will give him a chance on around 4k a week, and he'll probably do us a job, just like Jason Scotland's done!!

Learnt lesson from mido I hope

Do people not remember this prat was on loan to us but wanted more money

He was also the first striker for god now's how many years to get 20 league goals.

Yes he got twenty or so goals, and barnsley fans were very patient when it took him about 18 games to find the net,
His days are done,
He had his chance, and turned it down,
No thanks,

Would rather make sure we keep Scotland and o'grady personally

Absolutely

He scored 19 goals for us.

Norwich Chief Executive David McNally is growing increasingly frustrated with Chris Hughton and his negative style of play. Sce the ten game unbeaten run, Norwich have been innrelegation form and even if he manages to keep Norwich up this season it may not be enough to stop McNally bringing in Martin O'Neill to replace him to bring a more positive approach to push the Canaries up the Premier League table.

O'nil will only bring in boring football where he is only concerned in not getting beat. try watching sunderland during his time there to find out

Di Matteo or Martinez would be the choices for next manager

O;niel wouldn't come simply because we don't spend money on players he might want

Is that the same o. neill who was sacked by sunderland for being to nagative and playing boreing football and why should we take him back anyway walked out on us once to go to a better club eeeerrr leicester a big no thanks from ncfc fan

If Only Hughton going was true but I doubt it. Wouldn`t want o`neill time to maybe have a foreign manager in charge

Please, Ed's - please can you stop posting these up.

DM has stated a number of times he fully backs chris hughton. this "rumour" is purely a dream of a small number of fans, while the vast (silent) majority back him to turn things around next season in the prem.

God no thanks. Be careful what you wish for.

Arsenal board undecided over whether to sign Wilfried Bony and Loic Remy.

Southampton want to raid Burnley for striker Charlie Austin to link up with Jay Rodriguez. Harry Redknapp wants to sign either Grant Holt or Saints Rickie Lambert

Saints do not want Charlie Austin and Rickie Lambert has just penned a new deal and has stated he wants to finish his career at Southampton. Besides moving to West Ham is no real step up at all.

Lifelongsaint

Harry is the manager of QPR lol this is 2013 not the 90's.

11 May 2013 10:18:52
west ham? you mean qpr right?

Why would Lambert and Holt move to QPR to play in the Championship? And poster above. Redknapp isn't the boss of Wet Spam.

Lambert and holt aren't exactly gunna drop to the championship next year are they?

Redknapp expects a Premiership striker to go down with him? He must be more mental than we thought.

Who said anything about West Ham.
He said Redknapp.

Aston villa youngster Umit Eminoglu is to sign a one year deal at local league one side Walsall

Former Macclesfield and New York Red Bulls midfielder John Rooney is to join Walsall on a 6 month contract

Could he bring his brother as well

Morecambe FC are struggling financially. Almost certain to enter administration over the summer due to directors resigning.

This is just poor speculation at the moment & we will have to wait & see what happens.

With plans in for covering the rear of the MBW home stand as well as work on improvements to the clubs training ground, administration seems unlikely.

I think someone is being a bit "edgy" starting an unfounded rumour like this one.

Leeds United, Bolton Wanderers and Leicester city set to compete for the signature of Gary Mackay-Steven, who looks likely to leave Dundee United during the summer.

Even though he has stated clearly that he is happy at Dundee Utd and doesn't want to move.

11 May 2013 00:16:48
Ricky van Wolfswinkel is hoping to persuade his best friend Diego Capel to join him at Norwich City when he moves in the summer, Norwich are interested but a deal looks extremely unlikely as Capel is also interesting Tottenham, Liverpool and Juventus.

Would love it to happen let's hope so.

That would be an unbelievable signing!

Shades of Tevez and Mascherano to West ham here.

Newcastle to move for derbys adam legzdins after he was told he can leave this summer, most likely to replace rob elliot as number 2.

10 May 2013 23:56:40
Notts County are currently looking at the following;

Joe Devera - Swindon
Ashley Grimes - Rochdale
Danny Stephens - Torquay
Matt Done - Barnsley
Theo Robinson - Derby
James Bailey - Derby

They have discussed terms and will be offering contracts to;

Matt Green - Mansfield
Aaron Mclean - Hull

Contracts to be ended by mutual consent;

Enoch Showunmi
Francois Zoko

Players offered new contracts;

Krystian Pearce

We could probably get some money for those two players, but releasing them may be the best option.
No-one would buy them on there last seasons form

Can't complain about any if them. However, showunmi and Zoko will be offered to clubs for transfer not released from contract

Definitely a yes for McLean and Green, grimes or robinson would be brilliant

11 May 2013 16:48:13
Absolutely no truth in any story linking Green to County more likely to be going to Forest rather than Birmingham City.

Forest are not going to gamble on a league 2 striker when they have 5 on the books that make green look pants, as a notts fan i'd take any forest striker over green, his football league record is poor

From a very trusted source, it sounds as if oxford will announce a signing by the end of next week. The player, who remains unnamed, has been on trial after his contract expired at his previous club at the end of the season.

10 May 2013 23:53:43
Oxford are looking to sign around 9 players before the new season starts. Some of those believed to be: Paul Black, Danny Butterfield, Ashley Eastham, John Rooney, Jon-Paul McGovern, Adam Blakeman, Rene Howe and Keanu Marsh-Brown.
