J.menez is being linked with us again but liverpool have no funds but according to some website called peoples pools liverpool could sign him on loan for the rest of the season then sign him for 7.5million in summer. this sounds good to me.but, we need a striker now not for summer so i hope we sign k.jones from sunderland but again no funds, many websites and tabloids suggest a swap deal for babel which again sounds good but why not play babel up front since rafa don't want to sell him. we could sign chamakh for free but i not so sure because we need goals, this lad has only scored five this year. and nicolas lodeiro is a bad idea, just let napoli have him, everytime we sign someone who is the next big thing they turn out bad
just look at lucas and babel to top rated youngsters two years ago and now look at them liverpool flops.besides we have loads of young strikers anyway look on liverpools website and see the amount of u21 yr old strikers we own

O'Driscoll is going to be confirmed as the new manager of Burnley by Wednesday Tea time. His replacement is none other than Dean Windass, he will sign long time friend Nicky Barnby for the rest of the season. Then with the money from the sale of Brian Stock he will buy Billy Sharp. 100% true.

A colleague from my work told me a few months ago "There's going to be something announced in the next few days about Rangers", then a few days later SDM announced his stepping–down. I've not posted sooner but he told me before the new year that something is going to happen this month regarding a take–over, perhaps explaining why Rangers weren't previously able to discuss any new player contracts but this month are. He doesn't know much about it either, but he gets free hospitality at most home games and knows people who are "part of the furniture", who informed him it's people who have been afore–mentioned in the media. Don't know anything about whats happening regarding player/manager contracts though

No more signings – (loans or permanents) for Everton as Moyes has Distin, Gosling, Rodwell back soon with Jagielka, Arteta and Anichebe a few weeks away too. Yobo and Yakubu will be back in a few weeks from Africa too. Moyes would have gone for Pavlyuchencko on loan (to keep Bilyaletdinov company) had Jo not accepted his punishment ... watch the Toffees climb the ladder.
Next seasons targets include Chamakh and Piquionne.

It is looking certain that Olympique de Marseille will sell Hatem Ben Arfa during the January transfer window should a suitable offer be mede. A firm bid has already been made by Olympiacos and it seems likely that both Fenerbahce and Everton will enter the bidding. So if COYB reads anything other than the banter, maybe a little something for him to mull over. I am certain that Everton are serios over Ben Arfa. Sharkey.

Whilst some of these rumours may seem possible, the prices you have quoted are ridiculous. Maxi will be confirmed, yes and Onouha on loan is also a possiblity. Whilst these are plausible, the others are not. Jones will not be moving anywhere for 4 million, especially considering Birmingham had 9 million turned down for him. McGeady has been valued at 10 million so will not be bought for 4 mil. Again, Turan... I'd say closer to 13.5 mil than 3.5 and Richards is worth closer to 10 mil. I'm not sure if these are typos or you just thought up some very small amounts to put next to players names. Either way most of these players are worth triple what you have quoted. On to rumours... Liverpool will secure the signing of Maxi Rodriguez. Possibly for £1.5 mil, maybe even for free, as Atletico are desperate to get him off the wage bill. Liverpool would get him for free but have to pay him the 1 million euro loyalty fee Maxi is owed. This way Atleti eliminate his wages and avoid paying him his loyalty settlement. If they choose the cash, then they will have to pay Maxi's fees. Liverpool are now being heavily linked with Lewis Suarez. Now I would have said there is no chance of this happening but the rumour is that Liverpool would pay much of the £18 mil fee by swapping Babel for Suarez, similar to the deal in the Turan rumour. Elsewhere, the resignation of Hicks Jr means that 3 others have been promoted to director level. One of these is a financial manger and he will actively seek investment from America and Asia. The Chinese group who have been told to go elsewhere by Man Utd's Glazer Family may turn their interest to Liverpool, buying out Tom Hick's share for 400 mil. This is not a fact, but a rumour that seems to be gaining more momentum, as I've heard it mentioned several times. Re investment would mean that in the summer Benitez could afford to be a little less thrifty and he may set his sights on any of these (if investment comes through... otherwise he's as skint as usual)

Hot off the presses. Not from my main source but from a credible one none the less. Liverpool are apparently eyeing up Everton's 19–year–old Jack Rodwell and have made an undisclosed cash plus player offer for the lad. They see him primarily as a central defender and long–term 'local hero' type succesor to Carragher. Personally, I find it hard to believe as he is only 1 year into a 5 year contract, but the source is credible as is the 'local hero' idea.

Guy Demel will sign from Hamburg for £5.5 million in the next few days.
Maynor figueroa will sign from wigan later in the transfer window for £4 million.
Salvador Cabanas to join on loan untill the summer from mexican side Club America.
Outside chance that Bentley will sign from Tottenham for around £10 million.

Celtic Latest,
Dutch defender jos hooiveld has signed a contract with celtic fc, the transfer fee is reported to be around £2 million.
Sean st ledger could be joining him if the celtic board up their previous offer.
Michael chopra could be on his way to celtic too if the right price is agreed.
It's all quiet at the minute abt the possibility of a swap involving players from celtic and tottenham.
Celtic have had enquires abt right back andreas hinkel by a german club. If hinkel goes mowbray will have to replace him and that will mean celtic will have a whole new defence in place since mowbray arrived 6 months ago.

Another bit of news i heard from a close friend is that Blackpool may sign Macheda and Gibson on loan, fergie highly rates how holloway brings on players and thinks the experience players will do them the world of good for when they get the nod for the first team. Alot of people say that this will only happen though blackpool agree to the players being able to go back to the club at any point

Portsmouth are my life, I havent missed a game for 3 years! every match I go to there are always rumours and speculations about players we are going to sign. But with lots of things going on behind the scenes at the club, there is no way we can pull these signings off with no money!
One of the rumours that I keep hearing from around the club is Kenwyne Jones of Sunderland. But he is worth alot of money, how can we succeed with big money singing's? Jones is an extremely highly rated player. How much money can we get to buy such a big player?
Another rumour that has popped up a few time recently is Jack Wilshere of Arsenal. Wenger has already said the young player is set to go on loan this season, he has been linked with Burnley. However Pompey seems to be a good place for the young lad to come, as he will most certainly get first team experience here if the likes of Jamie O'Hara moves elsewhere.

Ok, now here's the latest on Maxi Rodriguez. LFC had advised his agent that Athletico should not be asking for a fee as he will be saving them the cost of his wages over the next 6 months (he should be allowed to go on a free). Liverpool have agreed to pay £1.3M instead to Maxi as a signing on fee spread over 18 months.
Athletico wanted £1.5M up front so this way Liverpool will benefit with the lower fee and deferred payments.

Chavski– won't buy anyone, because the manager doesn't feel he needs anyone else.
Manure– May sign a cheap kid but that's it, they are skint with the second highest debt in the prem' after Citeh who have a lot more free cash than the Glazers! Bit more movement in the summer though.
Liverpool– Again we are skint, but not in the same dire straights as the mancs, its just we recieve more press time due to the bumbling idiots in charge of the club. Maxi Rodriguez is a done deal, he is settling finances with Atletico and is likely to be in the crowd on wednesday. He is the only buy in Jan. Summer will be massive if we are taken over (aguero et al) if we are not i still expect at least Chamakh (free), a young ?british midfielder (?Parker) and Arda Turan, money will be raised through sales (masch'). Torres/Gerrard/Lucas/Agger/Reina will not be leaving.
ARSEnal– Wenger never buys in Jan but i reckon he will this year, but only if the moneys right and it doesn't smash his wage structure. Possibles are Sakho, Matuidi, Mahammadu Diarra (spelling), Chamakh or Carlton Cole It will only be one or two of the above though and he won't break the bank.

Realistically Liverpool are looking at MC duo Onuoha and Johnson for possible loan deals. The van der Vaart interest is off and so is the Nistelrooy one. Expect Rafa to go for Chamakh but that doesn't mean he will come. Mascherano most likely wants to leave and if he does (only in July) Rafa will target one of the three if Lucas still doesn't convince: Hamsik, Cambiasso or De Rossi. A new centerback is being lined up in July and it is believed to be Mexes if Rafa has the cash or else it's Barzagli. One more thing, Rafa is unlikely to switch to 4–4–2 permanently so signing Chamakh is ridiculous. {editor's note – isn't Johnson out for the season? Thought I read that he had another injury breakdown? Man City one I mean.}

Juventus' Diego has already become disillusioned with the tactical ineptness of Ciro Ferrara and following the footballing lesson taught to them by Milan yesterday has sounded out a January move to Fulham for £14M with Brede Hangeland in part exchange. Also, Blaise Matuidi is travelling into Wearside today to wrap up a £6M deal from St. Etienne to sign for Sunderland.

Alot of Liverpool dreamers in this place too linking them with big name signings for millions when they are in so much debt their manager basically said he would sell Gerrard and Torres if he gets enough money to buy some more let downs like Babel and Riera.
And the person who said Toulalan and Lukaku to Arsenal for 7m each – are you mad? a 16 year old with for 7 million? noone but chelsea would do this, and Toulalan for 7m? hes got to be worth at least double that.
This is what I feel is likely:
– Man U will make one or two signings who have premier league expeirience. (not until the summer)
– Chelsea will buy a big name if they don't win the league, if they do then signings will depend on who goes out. (nothing until then)
– Arsenal may suprise people with a signing in Jan like Dzeko or Zarate but wage demands are a problem at a club which works on players being played lowish and at a similar rate. Kirkland may also be a target as Almunia is .
– Liverpool will buy maxi for £1.4m (bargain) and maybe Rafa's only good signing (Torres doesn't count as it was a obvious buy). Apart from this I doubt much will happen as noone will want to join a team who will be finishing in the UEFA cup spot and offloading its bigger names in the summer.

I'm the FACTMAN. And lets deal in some facts. MANCHESTER UNITED have NO MONEY. The Ronaldo money went to paying off debts. Any money from the sale of either Rooney or Vidic or possibly both WILL GO TO SERVICING THIS DEBT. They are NOT signing Villa or Silva or Di Maria or Gourcuff or Neuer or Lloris or Kjaer or any other big money player being mentioned. Berbatov will NOT be sold as they cannot afford to take a £10–15 million loss on a player in a season and a half. Nani will NOT be sold because no–one would pay more than £8 million for him. Foster WILL be the number 1 after VDS retires, which will be this summer after the World Cup. LIVERPOOL are in a fairly similar situation, but the debt is smaller and can be managed by regular Champions League qualification. The sales of Dossena and Voronin will cover Maxi Rodriguez and one more, likely to be a striker. The main signing in the summer will be Arda Turan. Its already agreed, Benitez signed him knowing he might be sacked in which case he'd have left the club with a super new signing. No–one else will be signed, forget Aguero unless new owners arrive. In which case, remember Aguero again! CHELSEA will NOT sign anyone. Ancelotti has guaranteed it, and he's a stubborn man. As for Aguero, the man doesn't want to play for Chelsea. They'll make a few mediocre signings but they'll end up scrapping for the 4th place. Liverpool are in awful form, and I'm a Leicester City fan, but anyone who has a decent memory should know that ever since Benitez arrived they've gone on very good runs near the end of the season. If Chelsea and United keep dropping silly points and Liverpool can get on a 6/7/8 game winning run, don't rule them out of winning the title. Thats where the smart money would be.

Liverpool will not need to sell either Gerrard or Torres however they will let both Dirk Kuyt and Javier Mascherano leave. Kuyt is in demand and 15mil for a 30 year old is too much for Liverpool to reject. Mascherano will go to Barcelona for 30mil. Liverpool will spend 10mil on Real Madrid Pair Esteban Granero and Mahamadou Diarra. Babel will leave for 10mil.
The money from the Voronin and Dossena deals will not be reinvested into the squad. Kygriakos and Itjande will also leave.Also joining will be:

rumour as it that rafa is in talks with west ham over a player, i don't know the better but we have been linked with cole, upson, parker and ilunga over the past few months so i believe it is one of them. hopefully its either upson to strenghen our defence, or parker as he would fit in perfectly in to our midfield.

Some amazing Arsenal rumours– This is only a rumour n when I first heard it i just laughed but iv heard it from a few different people so I thought i might aswel post it. Arsene Wengers current contract runs out at the end of next season (2010/2011) and the rumour I have heard is that Stan Kroenke is looking to take over the club and will make Arsene Wenger chairman when his current contract runs out. He will also bring back David Dein as vice chairman. I feel he is who Arsenal miss the most because look how unsuccessful they have been since he quit in 2007. The major thing I have heard is that Josep Guardiola will become the manager. He is stalling over a new contract at Barca because he doesn't like the favourite to become the new president at the club. Also after the game against Sevilla in the copa del rey he said he couldnt see Barca signung Cesc Fabregas so I don't no if that is a hint or anything. I no Arsenal talking to Guardiola is illegal but its just something iv heard and the man that mentioned it today to me works within the north london club. He also said that's the reason why Arsene might only bring in 2/3 players between now and the end of his contract so Pep has enough money to get the squad to where he would want it to be.Once again its only a rumour iv heard a few times!!!! Im not an Arsenal fan so this doesn't concern me but i live and work near Arsenals training ground in Shenley Hertfordshire. Thats how i heard the rumour but Guardiola will probably sign a new contract this week and make a dk out of me!!

All the talk of Arsenal and Podolski has been reunited from Euro 2008. Being an Arsenal fan, I would love to see Podolski in an Arsenal shirt but I'm not putting my house on it. I know you've probably read on Goal.com but a friend of mine @ Emirates said that there is a bit of a hype sorrounding Mauro Zarate. Not sure how legit this is as he's let me down before but watch this space.

Southampton Transfer News
Southampton are expected to complete the signing of two players on Monday. Brian Stock, of Doncaster, and Neil Danns, of Crystal Palace. The first deal is believed to be 1.75million and Simon Gillet. Meanwhile Neil Danns will follow in the footsteps of former team mate Jose Fonte and move to Southampton in a 750K deal with several apperance and sell on clauses.
Alan Pardew is also eyeing up several attacking players to increase the striking force at the club. Gary Hooper of Scunthorpe and Nathan Delfounso of Aston Villa are believed to be on the radar, although they would only arrive on a end–of–season loan.
The Elliot Ward deal still looks strong but some urgency has been removed due to the recent signing of Jose Fonte to replace the former–loane Neal Trotman who returned to Preston. Although should Wayne Thomas complete a loan move to Plymouth Argyle, with the Saints paying half his wages, Ward could arrive this January.
Meanwhile Chirs Perry's future at the club could be over this summer as the 36 year old's contract runs out, Alan Pardew does not want to extend Perry's contract, as he will be to old. With Perry taking a coaching course during the summer he could decide to retire from football at the end of this season.
Adam Lallana will commit himself to the club until end of the 2013/14 season with a two year contract extension. Adams contract which runs out at the end of next season is key to Alan Pardew's plans for the club. Adam recently said: "I want to go to the Premier League with this team".
Southampton's midfield could also be become stronger with the possible signing of Scott Arfield of Falkrik. Hamilton have repeatedly put bids in for the player, but Hamilton can no longer match the bidding power of Southampton in a deal of around 300k, with several clauses. Although Falkirk are wanting 500k.
Marek Saganowski is set leave his contract run until the summer where he will return to Poland to player for Warsaw of where he hopes to reignites international career. Or he could be leaving to join Swansea at the end of the season.
Finally Alan Pardew sent several scouts to the recent Reading vs. Liverpool game at the Madejski Stadium. It is believed that wants to loane right–back to last the end of the season to cover the injury prone Graeme Murty. At the end of the season he will re–assess the situation and use the Bosman market to find a new right–back before opening the cheque book.
