Grimsby striker Liam Hearn is signing for Peterborough

Lol never

10 Jul 2013 23:15:55
Morecambe striker Jack Redshaw and Watford forward Britt Assombalonga are set to sign for L1 club Peterborough United

Jack maybe other nope

I guess you mentioned this as Britt scored a hat-trick last night! WFC may loan him but they won't sell him for sure.

11 Jul 2013 02:55:02
Redshaw isn't nearly good enough for L1

No one knows if Jack Redshaw is ready for the step up to league 1. Only he knows that. Give the lad a chance as he has proved it at Morecambe from Altrincham scoring 16 goals in his 1st full season.

Considering Britt is crushing his pre-season, I don't expect him to go out on loan at the moment. Maybe once the team is settled he may go out again. Whoever gets him will have a cracking prospect.

Jack Redshaw won't be signing for anybody this season now that he is out for 5-7 months with a hip injury.

Definitely League 1 standard, is Britt, but let's not get carried away. He's scoring against 'representative XIs'.

10 Jul 2013 22:41:15
Shrewsbury Town rumoured to have signed Gavin Massey, 20yr old striker from Colchester United. Massey spotted at the GM this afternoon.

What are you smoking man? Massey played in a pre-season friendly for the U's against Heybridge today!

We are do desparate to sign a striker or 2 that some supporters are having to make up wild rumours!

10 Jul 2013 22:32:58
Steve Bruce (Hull City) is looking to negotiate a deal with Watford for striker Troy Deeney. Bid thought to be in the region of £3.5m

Not going to sell for that fee

Utter rubbish, Deeney re-newed his contract at the end of last season and he is very much a part of GFZ's plans.

11 Jul 2013 07:36:27
Come on Hull - the Premier League requires that you buy both legs

Come back with 8m and maybe you get to start a negotiation but 3. 5 is not going to start anything!

Based on the Pozzo's history it would take a bid in the region of £20m before Watford would look at selling Deeney. Would Football Manager players realise that Watford are no longer a selling club unless the price is right

Come on please, I'm a big Deeney fan but 20M get real. Anything over 5M would do a deal.

On paper most fans would question if Troy is currently worth £20m. What would be taken in to consideration is his age, goal scoring record per game and overall worth to the team and the lack of the need to sell, I would be surprised if an offer of less than £20m would be considered.

Yh, he's valuable to the team, but let's be realistic. 20 mil is unrealistic, so is 3. 5. imo he's probs worth about 8-9 mil. Obviously won't go though, this rumour is absolute tosh.

20 million? Wonder how rooney feels to be 5 million more than someone in championship

10 Jul 2013 21:05:21
Hull City have activated the release clause in jermaine Jenas's contract, talks are ongoing

Source:tv

Bullard all over again! I seriously doubt we would make that kind of mistake for a second time.

10 Jul 2013 20:46:48
Blackpool manager Paul Ince showing interest in Aberdeen striker Niall McGinn and former Cardiff player Stephen McPhail.

Mcginn going nowhere signed up coyr!

McGinn has sign 2 year old contact at Aberdeen

Steve McPhail class act. good signing.

Er we haven't signed him

Mr McPhail would be an exceptionally gifted and professional acquisition should one procure his services (God preserve us from pedants).

10 Jul 2013 20:15:17
Ipswich considering leaving their interest in free agent goalkeeper Dean Gerkin and pursuing ex-Chelsea goalkeeper Ross Turnball.

Well Gerken played both halves in today's game against Crawley town, so I wouldn't have thought so, because otherwise Loach would of had a run out, which must mean Mick likes him. :)

I'd imagine after getting so many splinters in his ar5e at Bristol City, Gerken (note spelling) would want to be a no. 1

I'd take Turnball or Lee Camp over Gerkin any day of the week.

Gerken played all game at Crawley on Wednesday night

No Gerken did not play the whole game tonight. Loach played second half.

Loach didn't play 2nd half; Gerken played the whole game. Presumably MM wanted a good look at him before deciding whether to offer him a contract. There are other 'keepers available and it is a big decision.
NM/ITFC

Gerkin let a goal in last night from 25 yards out. sign Turnball or Camp.

10 Jul 2013 19:43:42
Hull city are in talks with Jermaine Jenas after QPR decided he is surplus to reqiurements

He is not surplus to requirements as he would be a good player in the championship, Hull have triggered a release clause that would mean he could leave on a free. tv

10 Jul 2013 19:53:48
Billy Sharp talks with Reading going well. Told today just a few finer things to agree but they're nearly there. The club are hopeful of announcing the deal before close of play Friday.

Also told today that De Ridder has an offer on the table from Bournemouth but has told them he wants a move to France. Le Harve keen.

Look he's not signing for you he was at Trent bridge today watching the cricket with his agent

I've heard this should be done (Reading) within a week. Friday it optimistic!

He's spoken to Reading and Forest, but not Blackburn as incorrectly (not really a surprise is it?) stated by Sky.

It's nailed on to Reading though unless something very unexpected changes.

Fed up of people stating random dates, according to some posts he should have signed weeks ago {Ed029's Note - For Forest, Huddersfield, Bournemouth and Reading.. and now Bristol City...

I hope he doesn't go to us (reading) would prefer hooper or austin. sharp is a sideways move

Billy sharp was at trent bridge all day mate so unless he can be in two places at once then that's not true

Actually, Reading would be a drop move for Sharp, whereas a club can't have a sideways move for a player, only a player can have a sideways move so I assume you mean unambitious which could be said if you were in fact still in the same division as Saints. Which you're not.

No I do mean a sideways move for us he's no better then any of our strikers so it is a sideways move for us. christ almighty

Is he really though? Seems to be taking a very long time. I don't fancy him to come, and I also think Pog will stay.

Reading never bid for either Austin or Hooper - just paper talk.

DeRidder forward/winger that would not be required by afcb, just as well he wants to play in france!

10 Jul 2013 19:32:35
everton close to signing moses and diame

10 Jul 2013 18:53:09
Aberdeen have made an offer to free agent Christophe Berra

Sources from the club

Hope so, Aberdeen could build quite the squad

10 Jul 2013 18:49:26
Simeon Jackson has joined Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig! bet all of the fans of championship clubs didn't see that one coming!

Oh well, afcb missed out on that one but that should resurrect interest in Charlie Austin and danny ings?

10 Jul 2013 18:29:31
Greg Cunningham to Wigan from Bristol City. Deal done.
City will replace with Matt Briggs from Fulham.

No word on this in wigan

I fully expect another year out of Cunningham before we try and cash in.

Nonsense

I believe cunningham will be off shortly.

Not true although Briggs is a good player he's better than league one

10 Jul 2013 18:24:01
Cattermole will sign for hull for 2million bruce has also enquired about Jack colbeck after he fails to agree contract extension he has also asked about Danny Graham on loan

10 Jul 2013 20:07:18
Hope to god this is true!

Wot planet are you on cattermole will cost any club 4m and jack colback will cot any club 6m and you have no chance of getting graham on loan.

Cattermole wold be a good signing, about sure about colback though. we don't need any more CM's anyway imo.

10 Jul 2013 18:12:52
Bobby Zamora will sign for Eddie Howe's AFC Bournemouth side early next week, after long talks with Harry Redknapp about his prospects at QPR leave him surplus to Loftus Road requirements.

Given that one of the many problems we have is that we cannot score goals, I would be very surprised at this with us trying to get rid of Remy. That is unless we intend to play like Barcelona with a 4-6-0 formation

Haha, yeah right. bmth fan!

Please no, too old, too expensive was on £50k per week last year at QPR.

Zamora could go to brighton where he is loved

Funny just seen him in an interview saying he's staying and hoping to stay fully fit.

11 Jul 2013 08:11:18
Not a fan of either club but didn't I read somewhere that Harry wants Zamora to be the main man next year to fire then straight back up?

Yes Harry Said he wanted Zamora to be the main striker for this season.

Fort arry said he's his main striker next year

Zamora would be good front runner to partner pitman, but wage demands would make his transfer very unlikely.

10 Jul 2013 18:00:37
Iain Hume will be staying with Preston North End as he will sign on new terms tomorrow.

Hope so but it looks unlikely

11 Jul 2013 10:57:35
This is true, he has agreed a large pay cut. PNE are too arrogant to allow him to leave for free if no one is willing to pay enough for him. Hume's twitter feed would also suggest he feels guilty after going out on loan to a successful Doncaster Rovers side last season as the fans are giving him a bit of stick for apparently "selling out" his owners.

With the signing of Davies, It looks as though this may finish off PNE for the transfer window, although there are two Liverpool reserves we are looking into! Personally I think are strikers are small in size and not strong enough like good old Parky

10 Jul 2013 17:51:23
West Brom are looking at acquiring the servies of Florent Johan Malouda on a one year deal. Seems that Clark is trying to get the band back together!

But most of the band are 30+ and will only last for 1 or 2 years

Anymore ex chelsea want to be linked with us, surely he knows some ex liverpool aswell

Nothing like looking to the future. I thought the saying went 'out with the old and in with the new'. got that one wrong then. Brown out. Wood out. Chelsea pensioners in!

These players are tried and tested and the future is next season no further the longer we stop up the stronger we get
We know who we are

Brown and wood. or kalou, malouda and anelka? which ones are more likely to keep baggies in the prem? get goals? push for an higher finish? closer to europe?. no point looking to the future if we end up in the championship after a season or 2!

So just because they are 30+ that means they can't perform any longer? Don't think so look at giggs he's 39 and every time he steps onto the field he puts in a performance, same for lampard etc. I'd love to see malouda and kalou at the Albion along with Sinclair and a new centre back

Brown wants to go himself wba want to keep him! Wood not good enough

Kalou is only 27 in his prime at the moment.

You are right, Kalou is 27. He is also not a West Brom player and I'll wager he never will be. Wage demands!

10 Jul 2013 17:50:14
Danny Haynes and Scott Arfield to go to Cork with Burnley as trialists with both possible signings for Burnley as there are free transfers

Haynes has signed for Notts County.

10 Jul 2013 17:47:39

10 Jul 2013 17:45:26
Jelle Vossen will sign for Palace from Genk for £4.5m.

10 Jul 2013 17:28:12
CFC will sign aleast 3 trailest.

The likes of

Ex-Chelsea youth captain Connor Clifford (Cm)
Ex-Toulose player Cakin (Rm)
Nicholas Kalakoutis, who is from Cyprus haven't heard of him tbh.

Out.

Toggs

10 Jul 2013 17:26:49
Swindon news? Still after couple more players apparently, Gros and Sofiane on trial both played and scored in the friendly last night, one might be worth a punt! Navarro wanted by Port Vale

Also bostock on his way to town

Bostock will arrive in the next two weeks

Bostock is training with millwall

To get fit before he comes to Swindon?

Bostock has signed for Royal Antwerp

The same Bostock who just signed for Royal Antwerp.

Wrong Bostock has signed for Royal Antwerp

He's just signed a 2 year deal with Royal Antwerp in Belguim. Shame as would like to see him back at Swindon

Micky Adams on record earlier this week as saying he's not interested in Navarro.

10 Jul 2013 17:26:43
Barry Fry has confirmed Huddersfield Town have made an enquiry about striker Lee Tomlin, but not Posh Captain Gabriel Zakuani.

Yep and Tomlins not for sale. £5m price tag to scare people off

Approach was made in May, no recent contact.

Still can't believe they want 5 mill for him, just like gayle, 6 mil for a player who was in none league 2 years ago, 3 mill max is his worth, 2 mill for tomlin and 500k zakuani

This was ages ago! nothing happening as far as Tomlin is concerned, no chance.

For the 100th time, it's a price tag not a valuation! Posh don't want to sell him! Anyway they got over 6m for Gayle

Yeah the Tomlin enquiry is quite old news now, I doubt Town are still looking at making a move for him after Peterbourgh made it very clear he isn't for sale.

Barry Fry only brought that Tomlin enquiry up because he was questioned on whether there was one for Gabriel Zakuani.

The last time I consulted my Thesauras I think I discovered there's a huge difference between an enquiry and an offer. I often enquire about the price of goods at my local shops and doesn't mean I want to buy it. I wouldn't believe anything that ludicrous, egocentric Barry Fry said. I hope we get Nick Powell from Manchester United on loan. That makes more sense.

11 Jul 2013 10:00:50
If Tomlin wants to move he will move. Regardless of whether he`s for sale or not.

11 Jul 2013 10:22:14
Why oh why do clubs announce that a player is not for sale, just before selling him. Happens all the time.

Zak will leave January 2014 for around £1million and Tommo will stay until 2015 as he will leave to wigan for £4.5million

Well don't hold your breath he's off to Wigan or Reading.

Reports that Tomlin has submitted a transfer request.

I love reading comments stating that Posh players are not worth this and that, Apparently Gayle was only going for £1m, when are these people going to learn that Posh now only sell for top prices

Even if Tomlin wants to move, which it now seems it doesn't, he won't unless posh get a good offer of £3m plus. Please stop guessing about our club, there is no way we would sell him for less than that having sold Gayle

Tomlin will force the move and posh won't be able to hold on to him, he's too good for league one, a good buy for a lower championship club

I must have gone mad during this pre season. posh can ask whatever they want for players, either the clubs will pay it or they won't pay, but if the players want to leave they will. plus posh asking these prices if they are is funny, because last time I check, posh were relegated last year?. so that means that town should ask for at least 12 mil for hunt then, because no silly posh fans, only town sell for good prices, Rhodes 8 mil? now that's a good price. I wouldn't pay 4 mil for tomlin, when players such as pilks have left for 3mil, no offence to mr tomlin, but he isn't in the same league as pilks in talent.

You don't get it do you? They aren't asking for £5m for Tomlin in the hope someone pays it. It's precisely to stop people buying him. The club has made profits the last couple of years, and the cost of relegation has been totally offset by Gayle going. Hudders obviously can't afford him else they'd have bid after enquiring over a month ago wouldn't they?

Town would not pay a stupid fee for him end of, this is shown by the fact of buying players like Rhodes, Pilkington and pletier all of which did not cost town a million pound to buy. why pay that sorta money for one player its silly not that town can't afford it (hoyle is worth well over a billion now) its that we don't want to with the ff in place. it as I have shown above been shown that you don't need to spend buckets of money on one player.

Town can afford him, he's just not worth that much to us, or anyone else. Keep him, if these players were that good Peterborough would not have been relegated. He'll get fed up with playing at that level.

"the cost of relegation has been offset by selling Gayle". What? Being relegated to Div 1 is disasterous, tough division to get out of. What is this with comments that Posh only sell for top prices? Every club gets the best deal they can, that's just common-sense. If Tomlin is worth 3 million+, how come they got relegated. And if he is worth that much, why would he play in Div 1. Huddersfield wouldn't pay daft money like that for another striker. A midfielder and defender are the priorities and probably loan deals. The chairman, Dean Hoyle, is a shrewd man and won't splash the cash willy nilly.

Aaron Mclean - over a million with a year on his contract
CMS - £3m although West Ham had a deal worth £5m until he turned them down
Ryan Bennett - £3.5m and rising
George Boyd - contract expired and we STILL got £1.8m in loan fees from Forest and Hull
Dwight Gayle - £6m and rising,
the posters on this board really are showing there lack of knowledge when it comes to Posh and selling players, no one has left on the cheap during McAnthony tenure at the club and he already announced relegation would leave us with a deficit of £8m so Gayles sale clearly covers the majority of that, you lot really need to do your research before coming out with such tripe

10 Jul 2013 17:13:32
Tyrone Barnett is going to Blackpool not Ipswich.
But the great thing is, he is going for 1m

I think you will find that Tyrone is not going to Blackpool. nothing to see here move on down the bus

Posh are desperate to offload, so they will accept way below a million. but posh do like their add on clauses. could be worth a punt if you can keep him away from the Blackpool nightlife

I hope we don't sign him. He's definitely not worth 1 mill and hasn't even proved himself at league 1 level never mind the championship.

10 Jul 2013 17:07:58
West Ham and Hull are battling for the signing of Swiss-Bosnian winger Izet Hajrovic from Grasshoppers, with both Premier League clubs preparing to bid around 3 million pounds. Izet is the older brother of former Arsenal youngster Sead Hajrovic.

10 Jul 2013 17:04:06
Bolton have signed Hamilton Academical midfielder Gary Fraser, they will immediately loan him back to Accies for the season.

Partick Thistle actually!

He played for Hamilton and Bolton signed him, he has been loaned to Partick Thistle actually!

Marc Iles from the the local Bolton paper said Hamilton then a few hours later said Partick. Think that's where the confusion lay.

10 Jul 2013 17:00:04
Walsall are set to resign Richard Taundry on reduced terms after failing to find a replacement in T&T. Richard was in talks with both Exeter and Shrewsbury but both talks broke down after high wage demands and lack of squad status reassurances.

Never going to happen hardly got played last season better players out there

Surely not going to happen, doesn't fit with our style of play. Out of his depth at League One level. Plus we released him once last season and had him back, be stupid to backtrack a second time

Why would we have tried to find a replacement for him? He was 4th choice right back and will be again if we re signed him.

Yeah and so is Aaron Lescott

10 Jul 2013 16:56:17
Cardiff city have put a late bid in for Udinese/Watford's Alman Abdi in the region of £8 million.

Late bid? Was it passed bed time. I think you'll find the transfer window has over a month left.

Watford would only let Abdi go if Hogg is recalled by Villa.

And if the price is right.

10 Jul 2013 20:25:21
Plenty of time till window closes! but Abdi has just signed a new contract with Watford and is integral to the Pozzo's plans to take Watford to the premiership. No chance of this happening.

Not true

Abdi isn't worth 8 million 4 million is the most he should cost

He's never going to cardiff

Lol doubt it he signed a 5 year contract with Watford last week and the players plastered the news on .

No chance, if he was to leave it would be back to switzerland.

Has Abdi actually been confirmed yet? I know batocchio, cassetti etc have but.

Villa have recalled Hogg! Abdi to leave for crystal palace

Why does everyone think hogg is a loanee? We SIGNED him from villa!

Casetti, Battochio are not confirmed as waiting for league approval. Abdi is in the same boat. Cardiff rumour is utter tosh

Why do people still believe hogg is on loan when we signed him 2 years ago

You mean late in that he had just signed a permanant deal with Watford. Better late than never however he wouldn't want to move to another Country as just settled in sunny Hertfordshire.

11 Jul 2013 13:50:44
The Hogg Villa loan thing is a joke between some WFC fans as he was quoted in the Nationals as being loan with us when we'd signed him a year previously!

Would much rather bridcutt an he would cost half that!

"Would much rather bridcutt an he would cost half that!"

He certainly would - but then he's only half the player.

4 million? Get real, 8 million is about right, considering age.

10 Jul 2013 16:24:21
Bristol city are set to complete the signing of Conor Clifford on a free after being released by Leicester at the end of the season. The 21 year old centre midfielder spent 4 years at Chelsea during which he was loaned out to various clubs including Plymouth Argyle and Portsmouth.

Very good little player

On trial at chesterfield

Joined Yeovil in loan

Its Billy Clifford that's gone to Yeovil, not Conor. Look it up.

Clifford has been on trial at chesterfield. Ventress

Wrong, I think you'll find Billy Clifford signed for Yeovil.

Connor is a good lad should do well for you

10 Jul 2013 15:26:58
Marvin Elliott training with milllwall!
Source!- Player relative

10 Jul 2013 15:06:06
Aston Villa are monitoring the progress of Cheltenham Town youngster Zack Kotwica, who has impressed a number of clubs.

Everton are having another look as well.

Making a name for himself in the past weeks - heard some interest in Bobbie Dale at the Evesham game as well.

Stop the presses - replying to my own posts is not normal but just came across the Everton link - not so sure they are interested now (different style under Martinez?) but were close to signing him along with the Duffus brothers back in 2011.

10 Jul 2013 15:10:49
Iain Hume will be staying at Preston North End for the coming season.

10 Jul 2013 14:43:01
Bradford city are lining up the signing of ex Doncaster keeper Gary woods as second choice for the upcoming season. Obviously has strong ties with new Bradford GK coach lee butler.

! he's a shocking keeper

Yeah shocking! So much so that he played as first choice for Donnie in their promotion campaign! I wonder if it wasn't for a change of manager at the Keepmoat, whether he would be their No1 in the Championship this coming season.

As I said, truly shocking keeper. !

No he is bad, did you not see him the championship with us us? I guess not. Hence why sully came in at the end of last season. We need experience now
. Oh and abit more quality.

Regardless of manager. Fact is he's not here

He was very poor made many mistakes that very nearly cost us games, just because he's number 1 doesn't mean he was any good

He was known to drop his wages

Bit harsh also saved us this season in some games

No way good enough for championship, league 1 maybe but feel our defence helped him out big time

Woods wasnt as bad as some are making out.
Sure he dropped a few clangers but which keeper hasnt, many on a far bigger stage then L1.
As someone said earlier, he played 40 odd games for a team that won the league - can't just be down to a strong defence in front of him.

Woods is the worst professional goalkeeper I have ever seen

He can only kick down side of pitch

Gary woods is an average keeper for league1 standard, but if Bradford city are to achieve promotion or be anywhere near the top 6 a top quality keeper is essential, so not Gary woods its fair to say

10 Jul 2013 14:42:11
Swansea set to secure the signing of Wilfried Bony and are also believed to be considering a bid for Jordan Rhodes (both long time West ham targets that nothing was done about)

Can't see us splashing out on another striker. Bony is obviously going to be the main man. But I do think the second striker will likely be a brit! exciting times ahead.

10 Jul 2013 14:27:51
Fulham are selling their club to shahid khan a American pakistani businessman who also owns American football team Jacksonville jaguars and talks are at early stages.

Talks are apparently at an advanced stage which is probably why MAF converted debt to equity in January. The reason we have heard about it is probably something to do with the final stages of the deal. MAF never does business in public if he can help it.

10 Jul 2013 14:23:45
David Jones has agreed a two year deal with Burnley - to be announced imminently.

Scott Arfield is on trial after release from Huddersfield and is joining Burnley on tour of Ireland.

Burnley close to sealing two more free transfers in the form of Paddy McCourt from Celtic and Richard Chaplow who is free to leave Southampton despite having a year left on his contract. Burnley still in discussions with Birmingham City over transfer of Darren Ambrose, which has been ongoing for weeks now.

Despite Charlie Austin failing his medical at Hull City, Burnley are still in the market for another striker and are believed to have targeted Nahki Wells, Tom Pope and Simon Church. With the Austin money now off the table, it is suspected Burnley will aim to take free agent Church as Martin Paterson's replacement.

Burnley doin' a lot then (town fan)

Burnley need to start spending money or else League 1 next season

No they don't need to start spending, there's plenty of decent free transfers knocking about. David jones for example he will be a quality free signing by dyche and i'm sure there will be plenty more to come. Have a little faith. UTC

10 Jul 2013 14:17:06
Mehdi Abeid to sign for Burnley on 2 year contract after leaving Newcastle.

10 Jul 2013 14:35:26
Gillingham have finally signed Cody Macdonald on a 2yr contract.

We've got our Cody Back! We've got our Cody Back!

10 Jul 2013 14:01:58
Ex Doncaster Rovers midfielder Martin Woods hoping to gain a contract at Blackpool

Watch for change of ownership at DRFC
In the very near future, then see what
quality we recruit

There will be NO CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP. Another Investor will be on board, there will not be any named recruits, other than the ones mooted on various fora. BS/SG.

Good luck Blackpool I hope you have a good physio, if so you might get to see Woods a couple of times next season and if not only give him a 2 week contract

10 Jul 2013 13:56:54
swindon to try and sign carl dickenson from coventry on a 2 year deal

Carl Dickinson is a Watford player, he was only on loan at Coventry for month last season.

He is at watford

He plays for Watford, Was only on loan to Coventry last season, Seems a quality player but doubt Swindon will be looking to add another left back as we already have, Barthram, Byrne, Mceverley & A Smith who can all play there.

Haha he's not even a cov player. he plays for watford!so goog luck with that one!

We at coventry (or Northampton as it seems sisu b******) will still take your money

10 Jul 2013 13:40:18
Ngoo bought in by Yeovil as Paddy Madden is leaving early next week in 1. 65 M deal with unnamed club, due to be announced early next week.

How would you know the sum and not the team. Absolute rot!

Unlucky the boy is mince

Every chanpionship club has around 5 strikers dosent mean theor selling their best striker

This is crazy to bring in a loan player for a player that has 2 years left when his home team can call him back I think this is a mistake

What you talking about?

When they bring in Ngoo when Paddy has two years left of his contract I do not think Mr Johnson would let him go for so little 1-6 m is nothing when Ngoo could be recalled by his parent club

1. 65 m is no where near

11 Jul 2013 10:32:35
he has stated on his personal twitter account that all rumours are rubbish and he is staying with the glovers

Also why secure promotion with us and then leave, would make no sense whatsoever!

Errr MONEY

Ngoo & Madden are different players. We were crying out for a target man last season. that's why Ngoo is in.

Money isn't everything, first team football is more of a priority to most players! That is why he came to yeovil in the first place

Why would you waist time writing this GJ won't sell anyone at this stage and madden has stated he enjoys Yeovil and will be staying

GJ won't sale now! He's too far along is squad line for the championship! Come on yeo!

10 Jul 2013 13:31:25
Fulham are hoping to snatch Albert Adomah from under the noses of Wigan and Crystal Palace with a bid in excess of 1 million

Fulham are known to have been vaguely interested for a couple of windows now. if the price is right maybe, but will he really make it?

If Fulham have been interested for a couple of windows tell them to try Safestyle, you know the one you buy one you get one free.

Hello gasheads Jjotoole due in gillingham on friday to sign 3 yr deal on around 4k a week that's what the word is over here in kent.

Well that is utter rubbish! Colchester Manager has confirmed no bids for JJOT and that southend and Bristol Rovers are the only clubs to place an interest in the player!

Really. he must be signing for Dover or Dartford as gills are in France till Monday. Any idea on which one of those clubs he signing for Gas Head

Bradford city have rejected a bid from Peterborough for nahki wells. Source Peterborough chairmans tweet.

Good signing if it works out

Personally I think we should be looking to get an out and out league 1 goal scorer which would probably cost between 500k and 750k max so I hope we don't go over spending on wells as I doubt he will fit in to the posh side and would probably be used as an impact player

How bloody unprofessional for a so called chairman to make this public.
How the hell do you think it may unsettle the player by even suggesting he would fancy playing for a club whose fan base picks cabbages for a living. Get real folks

You have no danger of overspending on wells on those figures - try doubling it and including a 20% sell on and you might have a 5% chance. I would be interested to see how Peterborough could ever sell themselves as a better option than Bradford where he can improve his reputation and worth even more in a settled team and stable environment.

Why not? He said at the same time we aren't going to bid again? So no point unsettling him

Pick cabbages lol nice one locals don't do that work

He's s***, believe me I've watched him week in week out for us and every week he is always being pushed off the ball far too easily, not strong enough but to his credit he can finish but saying that he is not very consistent either, would be pleased if he did leave

Listen there not good enough for wells and you go on about consistency Hanson want really would much rather have wells

What, rejected come on posh bid.

Picking cabbages? Peterborough is a city and not a farm get real.

Burnley to announce double signing of David Jones and Danny Haynes on free transfers later this week

10 Jul 2013 12:41:07
Norwich expected to announce signings of Martin Ollson and leroy fer on four and five year deals respectively on Wednesday afternoon after both passed medicals on Tuesday evening source pink un

Is there any news about Fer. Some white smoke?

Fer was seen in 'yellows' earlier today, which is the club restaurant. There are pictures some where online, though it was a friend of mine who actually showed me it, so I can't give the address.

Fer has passed his medical and signing 5 year deal according to fc twente

He has passed medical close to making deal

Fer's medical not good news

Has he or has he not passed his medical

He passed medical

Official norwich tweet new signing tbc within next 60 :) come on you yellows

Tony Mowbray is looking to the lower leagues for another signing and will have Gary Gill watching Russell Penn in an upcoming Cheltenham friendly vs. Coventry City.

Meanwhile, Ishmael Miller has flown to Algarve to finalise contract arrangements and, if these are successful, he will be a late addition to Boro's pre season squad.

You say he has flown to the algarve but he's been there for over a week with forests pre season, scored the winner in their game on saturday.

Penn has just signed a two year deal and has been made captain so keep looking.

10 Jul 2013 15:55:07
Why would Boro want to pay a six figure fee for Penn when he is in his late twenties?

Penn signed 2 year contract month ago, unless they are willing to buy a key player out for a lot of money right before season starts, it sounds very far fetched, even for a rumour someone made up.

If Boro offer Miller a contract then I for one won't be going back to the riverside this year. It would be the worst kind of joke on the fans

10 Jul 2013 12:31:09
Sean O'Driscoll will return to his former club Fulham to sign full back Matthew Briggs if Greg Cunningham's proposed move to Wigan Athletic goes through later this week.
Briggs previously enjoyed a loan spell at Ashton Gate.

Briggs is an athletic player but lacks concentration. He is often naeve postionally too. Maybe Mowbray could knock him into shape?

Bradford have rejected an offer from Peterborough for Striker Nahki Wells. The offer was tabled by Barry Fry to one of the clubs co-owners but was subsequently rejected

Wells still has two years left on his contract.

Source: Simon Parker, Telegraph & Argus

Good signing if it works out

Great signing for the POSH if we can settle a deal.
Great replacement for gayle
he is quick and a good finnisher he played well in the league 2 play off final. Exactly peterborough's type of player.

HE isn't going to Peterborough that would be at best a sideways move. Staying with city we are on the up

Not keen at all on the thought. Just have to trust DF on this one.

Personally think both us (posh) and Bradford will be strong next year, so not sure about the sideways move thing. But we aren't bidding again for him anyway we've said

10 Jul 2013 12:21:12
Just been told the club were highly impressed with right sided Hendrick Cakin who was at Toulouse the 21 year old played against Lincoln City behind closed doors in a pre season game and Cook was told to sign him by Richardson asap.

10 Jul 2013 10:56:09
Right ladies. According to reports circulating, West ham have agreed fee and are waiting for Work Permit for Duvan Zapata. They have also agreed to pay Lille 3m euro's to release Salomon Kalou and have also rekindled interest in Gary Hooper

10 Jul 2013 15:16:47
Viva Zapata!. I bet all Hammers fans will be doing the Mexican Wave next season after this news.

10 Jul 2013 08:56:23
I wounder Ed if you know what happend to Gedo going back hull thought he did well last season is their any chance they will go for him now Austin deal fell through {Ed001's Note - last I heard was the loan deal had an option to make permanent which Hull decided not to take up. Not heard of anything related to him since, in terms of Hull moving for him. Impossible to say in this window though, there are so many unlikely moves happening, you just can't rule anything out!}

Gedo is currently training at Hull, as part as his rehab following surgery on his foot. I wouldn't be surprised if he did hang around, it doesn't look like there's going to be any football in Egypt any time soon and he should be fit in a month.

10 Jul 2013 12:13:38
Anya, abdi and ekstrand have signed permanent deals with watford fc. Length and confirmation of this has not been released just yet. Watford will have the strongest squad in talent and depth come the start of the new campaign and WILL be pushing for automatic promotion. Pozzo family want wfc in the premier asap for obvious financial gains. KH

10 Jul 2013 15:25:58
Bet that lot cost a tidy penny! Oh, wait a minute.

10 Jul 2013 18:47:19
I'm sure they did. our owners did buy in the first place

^ can't win when we don't sign them, can't win when we do! watford can't help the fact that they have the most sensible, resourceful and the best owners in the championship!

10 Jul 2013 12:08:28
Word here in Swansea is that the Bony deal is done and dusted.

13m price tag

Well done jenkins

Well done Laudrup for putting Bony on top of your wish list. Well done Huw and the board for being clever and having patience in the negotiations.

Amazing signing for us! We needed a top class striker and now we have got 2! Bony and Michu are going to be unstopable! Our squad is looking great!

10 Jul 2013 12:00:37
Yeovil's striker Paddy Maddon is in talks with Crystal Palace and could link up with them in Portugal if a deal can be agreed.
Yeovil have a ready made replacement in Michael Ngoo who is on a season long loan from Liverpool.

Paddy Maddon? How many did he score last season? Couldn't have been as many as Yeovil's other striker Paddy Madden.

Crystal Palace in Portugal as well? it's getting busy over there. By the way, Paddy Maddon isn't in the same league as Madden!

10 Jul 2013 11:54:56
wimbledon striker jack midson belived to be holding talks with stevenage

Yet again, utter rubbish. Midson isn't going anywhere!

Unless Stevenage have asked permission to speak to Jack Midson this is rubbish, as he is under contract for this season! Neal Ardley confirmed a few days ago that there have been no enquiries for any AFCW player!

Please don't make me laugh
why on earth would mids want to leave us for them he can do lot better than Stevenage think you've been in sun to long matey

Mk will never sign a player from us and vice versa.

I know Jack very well and this is total b*******. for the record.

If Jacko leaves it will be for a decent club, not a small badly supported club like them.

Sully is joining Aldershot as Assistant Manager and keeper coach, working with long time friend Andy Scott. Sullivan was very interested in similar role at Wimbledon but unable to commit in time for Ardleys plans.

Word is Shroot doesn't fit in with Westleys style of play and won't be happy sitting on the bench. Hasn't started yet in 2 pre-season games.

We have only played 1 pre-season friendly and he got 45 mins, that's quite enough on the hottest day of the year!

You forget the game on Thursday against Mansfield. He didn't start but came on after half time in the 5-2 win. let's see what happens on Tuesday night.

10 Jul 2013 11:29:34
Bury FC have signed John Rooney (Brother of Wayne) and Chris Sedgewick, the day could end with Bury finally getting their main target Stephane Zubar of Bournemouth.

Chris Sedwick will do ok at Bury, wasnt great at Pne but that was years ago now even in his younger days, good in the tackle just his shooting was very poor.

John Rooney is a lazy get, didn't manage 1 competitive minute for Barnsley last year. Played in the development squad all year apart from when he had a sicknote in.

Living off his name. You will find out soon enough, good luck :-)

I remember sedgwick's goal against bury when he played for wednesday, bury won 2-1 at gigg, he scored a cracker then.

Was that him I went to that game because i'm a season ticket holder it was great UTS

All these negative responses from people are just pure sour grapes.

If anyone can motivate someone who is used to being a sicknote it is KB.

He won't stand for any primadonnas at Gigg Lane.

Yes I remember that Goal Sedgey scored against us.

As Gary Megson stated The Owls that night made us look like Brazil and what happened to him?.

Why would zubar want to lower himself and play for such a small club with 500-1500 fan base

We have more fan base than 1500, we were in a state last season so low crowds came to the game. there are a lot more bury fans that hide away and will probably come back for this season

What nonensense our fan base is well over 2000 perhaps even 3000. Your comments have no fact.

We are well on course to reach our season ticket sales target of over 2000.

Only an ignorant fan would make such a remark.

Better players than Zubar have already signed up to our club like Tom Soares and Nathan Cameron.

What is cameron like is he a good player

We will soon find out after todays friendly against The Blades.

So how did he do

10 Jul 2013 11:02:27
Sheffield united to sign the young lad Campbell from Newcastle in the next few days on a season long loan, young pacey striker or so I'm told

Would be a great capture for Sheffield United, but I can't see him going there, he was just breaking into the 1st team squad at Newcastle last year.

If you get him I reckon he'll do well for you, good young prospect, and could work well for both clubs

10 Jul 2013 11:07:29
After barnsley secured the signature of defender lewin nyatanga flitcroft his turning his attention now to a striker and a attacking midfielder they are mk dons striker dean bowdich and oldhams attacking mid Jose Baxter.

Ha ha loving even more about baxter signing for yet another club, so we've has Donny, Blackpool and npow barnsley plus all the other teams you can think of in the Championship then you had other league one clubs as well.

SO UNTRUE he is away with HIS TEAM at the moment so please stop putting utter rubbish on here about him.

Which club is it tomorrow?

Funny that, so are blackpool, doncaster, leeds, burnley, bolton wigan etc.
if you read all previous oldham rumours you will see them all claim the exact same, might happen but will take big money as he has 2 years left and were debt free!

Bowditch is currently out after a groin op so unlikely anyone is interested until he returns in several weeks time

We want to go forward not backwards

Didnt bowditch sign a 12 month deal in may at mk

A MIDFIELDER would be good because I don't think Mellis is good enough, has Ethuh signed yet?

Baxter is Doncaster bound

Not sure Flicker is need of an attacking mid we have the position very well covered and we Paul Digby back, who is one of the best prospects from the academy that there as ever been.
I have no doubt that Mellis and Digby will be our main attacking midfielders and we have other players that can play that roll too.

". and were debt free!"

As you can tell by the superb way Saint Peter has moved to strengthen our wafer-thin squad.

Oh wait! He hasn't! What a surprise!

:- (

Digby not even a attacking mid, great player! But not attacking mid! {Ed003's Note - I thought he was the biggest dog in the world.}

Any new Barnsley targets ed {Ed003's Note - Just asked someone mate and got nothing new,sorry}

Nice that ed!

What so a creative Midfielder is not attacking, sorry my bad thought a play maker was an attacking player.

So in that case Xabi Alonso must be an attacking mid or Jack Wilkshire?!

Is it balls attacking mid plays off the strikers an gets goals like a lampard, not a play maker you plant pot, that's more like a holding mid, a play maker doesn't get goals, he helps make them

An attacking midfielder passes the ball forward, a holding midfielder passes back or sideways (this debate is childish and petty)

When I said we are debt free, I mean Oldham, we spend the money to make sure we don't go in debt, we never have much left over for buying players which is why we never can sign loads of people!

If some one makes goals is that not ATTACKING?

We have enough midfielders! mellis not good enough, you avin a laugh? Baxter not good enough for us!

If we can snap up a striker soon we will be in a good position and will be able to focus on other things like training

DIGBY - CM! AHHHHHH (Not Attacking!)

10 Jul 2013 11:00:14
Danny Graham interesting Watford Fc, Still got property close.

Danny was a great player for Watford and a lot of fans would like to see him back at the Vic. However, this seems unlikely considering the signings Watford have made in his position. Especially if any of Ranegie/Geijo/Ighalo sign too.

10 Jul 2013 12:49:58
hope this is true but doubt it - may go for him on loan

Not needed!

If only this were true, we wouldn't pay his wages though.

I doubt he will join Watford but is looking likely that he will be booted out out of Sunderland

10 Jul 2013 13:25:46
The player who's transfer caused the so called 'registration embargo' that Watford enduring.

Can't see us going in for him, As I doubt that the FL would ratify the deal

As much as I love him, we have enough strikers with Ranegie or Ighalo still to come in

Danny graham is going to middlesbrough on loan he doesn't want to leave the north east

Geijo DEFINITELY is not returning to Watford, he is beyond abysmal

Why would we want or need DG? Our forwards Deeney, Fessi, Fabrinni, Acuna, Assombalonga, Massah, Ikpeazu are scoring goals for fun in pre season.

Geijo may not sign but he is on the pre season trip

If geijo was coming back surely he would be in italy with the rest of the squad. worst player in squad last year and playoff final summed his season up!

If you seriously have 7 forwards then Zola the figurehead will have a job keeping them all happy. But yeah, why would Watford need Graham when they're focusing on getting whoever they can from their owners 'player pool' as they seem to call it. Would seem a bit of a waste of money surely?

Those that bad mouth Geijo are just showing how little they know about football. Barely played and then thrown in to the Play Off final when he was far and away the best forward on the day.

Those who good mouth Geijo are showing how little they show about football. He can't pass a ball and he missed at least one open goal last season. Besides Forestieri was surely better?

Bit unfair on Geijo, he was never given a proper chance to get acclimatised to the english game and he wasn't given enough games to even get match fit. He looked like he could have been a good player and did show some nice touches on the ball. In the play off final he was not as bad as everyone seems to make out. And before anyone says it, yes I was there

Never really got the criticism about Geijo. People take a look at the stats and write him off, but whenever he was on the pitch, I was vaguely impressed by his link up play. Looked like a faster, more skillful version of 'Big Chris against Birmingham'. Not enough game time, really.

09 Jul 2013 23:33:50
any aston villa signings ed?

Apparently Benteke has signed a transfer request

Well Bentek$ers has & now I hope he has no offers come in which are reasonable & he has to swallow his request back in or end up like Darren Benched.

No, it was his agent

Huddersfield and Swansea are in advanced talks regarding an exchange of defenders. Jack Hunt going to join the Welsh side with 1. 75m and Jazz Richards making the way to Yorkshire.

So you're saying you think Jazz is worth £1. 25mil? Really?

How reliable is this? after they signed Ronnie stam yesterday, why would they want hunty?. I also don't think hunt is ready quiet yet.

Hope this is true. Jazz is shocking lol

Jazz value is currently £600k, Hunt is worth between £2-3million. Don't need to sell so it will take a strong offer to get Huddersfield to deal. If there is a first choice Terrier I would sell Hunt would be the one, not because is isn't class but at Championship level we have good cover in Woods and the cash will help fair play compliance to strenghten in midfield and central defence.

Not a chance it's true, Hoyle doesn't go in for swap deals. It'd be £3m minimum for Hunt, probably £1. 5 upfront with the rest the following season to help the clubs sustainability much like the Rhodes payments from Blackburn

Jazz Richards may go on loan but I doubt Swansea would sell him. He is there for the future.

Third comment from top, swansea haven't signed stam its yet another rubbish rumour, hunt is a good prospect i'd like to see us go after him as long term replacement to rangel

Swansea haven't signed Ronnie stam and they don't need him jazz will do alright this year he's played we'll in pre season he will be given a chance this year and fair play too him!

10 Jul 2013 10:53:35
Cheltenham are set to offer George Bowerman a 2 year deal.
The 21 year old striker was released by Walsall at the end of last season and has been training with the League 2 club for the past week, and scored in a friendly against Evesham United 4 minutes after coming on last night.

Great signing, don't think he needs to prove himself a great deal to be honest.

Bowerman is a formality just as long as Cirencester game goes to plan on Saturday

Sounds like Bowerman may be out of the Cirencester game but MY has in essentials said there's a contract offer there.

10 Jul 2013 10:52:56
Kevin Davies to have medical at Preston North End today. He will be announced as a PNE player by the end of the day!

Sorry to say your totally wrong, he will pull back on a Chesterfield shirt by Friday this week {Ed003's Note - oooops}}

Yep will definitely be in Chesterfield kit by Friday. oh no wait he has signed for PNE! top signing final part of the jigsaw top side now with a top manager and a top striker

Yep will definitely be in Chesterfield kit by next week. oh no wait he has signed for PNE! top signing final part of the team that was needed

Already signed sealed and delivered, please keep up.

So now we know why Bolton got rid. he is over the hill. 2year deal in the third division at 36 yrs of age. nice. even Dick Turpin wore a mask.

10 Jul 2013 10:52:30
Norwich will complete the signing of Swedish left back Martin Olsson of Blackburn within the next 24hrs, a fee of 2Million has been agreed. meanwhile Belgium Center Back Toby Alderweireld of Ajax is looking set to join Norwich in a 6Million pounds move after his dad stated that Norwich is the most probable option and that the club are showing great ambition with the likes of signings such as Ricky Van Wolfswinkle. Also could add Leroy Fer by the end of the week and 2 more strikers.

We will never sign all of those people by the end of the week! Possibly one more signing at best I reckon. CH and co still have to sleep at night!

Think prizing John Guidetti on a season long loan from Manchester City is a distinct possibility. Would be a good utilisation of the loans we have at our disposal as well as having a familiar face around in Marcus Olsson to help them integrate into the squad

Fer & Olsson at Colney for medicals this morning so should be announced today or tomorrow. Toivonen should finally sign Friday as I (Taxi Driver) have been booked to pick him and his agent up from Norwich Airport on Thursday evening as h`es coming in on the 21. 05 flight from Amsterdam.

Leroy Fer is in Norwich today for a medical, looks like both Olsson and Fer could be announced together

Dont get me wrong, i'm loving the sound of Fer, Alderweireld and Olsson. But is no one else worried about the fact that all the striker rumours have died down? The craziest stat is that out of the 8 Strikers that played for NCFC since this time last year (2012/2013 season) only one of them is still at the club? Building a great team is only good as long as we have someone putting the ball in the back of the net! RVW will do it but if he is injured? signings need to be made

Olsson fee is 2. 5

I really hope he will come to sign, and not to turn us down.

Ed What's happening about Fer. is it possible that it has all gone pete tong?

Toby Alderweireld has turned us down

10 Jul 2013 10:46:51
Shrewsbury are set to announce the signing of youngster Simon Church after his release from Reading

If he scores near to 10 goals for you count yourself lucky. Not suited to the lower leagues as he lacks aggression so you taking a big gamble. {Ed029's Note - Not suited to the higher leagues either, certainly not as a striker. I've always thought he should drop deeper and play behind the striker. Good movement, clever player, but not a consistent finisher.

Not quite a youngster but he should be good for shrewsbury. He should be good for any team lower than championship.

Doubt it.

His wage demands will be too much for the Shrews, who still insist on paying leage 2 salaries despite now being in league 1.

NottinghamShrew

Hes not suited to any leagues. Worse striker I've seen in a Reading shirt including Bas Savage!

Worse than bas savage, don't be daft. church may not be the greatest but to say he's worse than bas savage is just plain lunacy.

10 Jul 2013 10:46:10
Saints are close to confirming two signings, wih both Wanyama (12M) & Damiao (20M) expected to be confirmed this week. Personally I think this could take us to the next level!

If you're right. make that three signings this week. Luke Shaw will enter into a senior contract on Friday. and he is arguably the most important of the three!

Wanyama yes Damiao no

Wanyama yes (as widely reported), damiao no way, made up I'm afraid.

Lots of rumors starting again about Big Vic.
Hope this is true, not only is he a quality signing it just proves to all the haters that the saints do have some pull and 'if' this does go ahead then the power of Cortese has probably had one over an agent.

Grab the money Celtic, overpriced

Who of the present side drop out for the new boys?

Wanyama deal is done. Photos to be done later with announcement likely to be tonight or tomorrow prior to travelling with team on Friday

I think the two are Wanyama & Shaw. Will be announced on Friday.

M13

I think Cork is the unlucky one. He will rotate at DM but will be behind VW & MS I think. He will provide cover for Clyne at RB I guess too as will Calum Chambers.

Play all 3
GK Boruc
RB Clyne
CB Lovren
CB Yoshida
LB Shaw
MF Cork
MF Spider
MF Wanyama
LW Lallana
RW Gaston
CF Ricky/Jay Rod

Good solid looking team!

How can you say the Domiao rumour is made up when Pochettino himself has said that we are interested in him? Learn the facts before you talk jibberish.

Bailey

Damiao is and was never going to happen would have been brilliant but to attract his quality we will have to establish our selves at the top end of the table

Damiao is good but 20m though is far too much. He has only played in brazil and isn't exactly a Neymar is he. Hope we don't pay more than 20 mill if we get him but apparently they want more than 20. Get a cheaper striker in europe would be a far smarter move

Wanyama will apparently be announced later today. I think Damiao's going to Napoli though if the rumours are true, they've apparently upped their bid.

Putting money aside, Is damiao liable to prefer Napoli to us?

Now it's 13 million built up to 15 and more likely 7 just hope it's not a gamble Scottish week to week standard is poor. Hope it works out

Damiao deal isn't dead and buried. Napoli have had their bed turned down so that leaves us back in the chase. its up to the player now if he wants to join. it was never a rumor, MP himself said he's after him along with Osvaldo and Bangea

Yes CL football and Brazilians seem to prefer Italy to England. Slower paced league and nicer weather

It's strange the way saint seemed to be run at times the best players in a game are often substituted. For example puncheon always played, the moment he signed his contract he was on the bench. Are they thinking of the next game or just keeping everyone happy.

Don't worry mate their are going to be a few more players fed up on the bench soon, taking a wheel barrow full of money home , driving a free £70000 car living in an million pound house. Blimey it's tough being a saint.

You were saying about a cheaper striker, i'd love bas dost but no rumours with him

Amazing with our managers contacts liking young players they are letting the Spanish under 20 team be purchased by other prem league clubs, think 4 have gone so far

10 Jul 2013 10:31:38
Leeds to offer Ed Upson a much improved offer to join them next week, been in talks for 2-3 weeks with a permanant move following his success last season.

10 Jul 2013 10:26:43
West Ham mull over £5m Hooper swoop but I have no doubts that by the time they decide to make a bid it will be too late just like Wilfried Bony

Totally agree. West ham ponder far too much instead of just committing. Hooper would be a great addition for £5m and if they then got Zapata they'd have quite a formidable striker force but they mess about too much and then lose out

Seems to be a traned with the hammers. They find them, speak to them and while they consider making a bid another club beats them to it. Keep it up your work is priceless

10 Jul 2013 10:18:14
Kevin Davies signed today for Preston North End.

10 Jul 2013 10:04:03
Hi gas heads just thought I would say that every body in kent is saying jjotoole is due at gillingham on friday to sign a three year contract they are offering the 4grand a week that jj wants.

I don't think the Gills would be able to offer that sort of money.

The team ere in France this week, won't be back till Monday, not sure they can afford another high earner after getting Cody mac on 2year deal.

Signing this week though I doubt for that wage. Also cody mac signs

Everybody in Kent? Not one mention on any Gills forum and sorry, but we won't be paying anyone £4k a week.

Load of old. We've just signed Cody Mac who will be on a motza. And while O'Toole is decent, he's not worth that amount. Finally "everyone in Kent"? I've heard a couple of rumours (from other clubs fans) that we are/were interested, but other than that I don't think anyone in Kent even knows him!

£4K a month if I know Scally. No chance we'd pay £4 a week, doubt we even paid that in the Championship.

10 Jul 2013 09:58:45
leeds utd are to give zavon hines a weeks trail

Would be a great signing - very fast tricky winger who did well at West Ham and Bradford.

A weeks trail? What he's been asked to walk from one end of Slovenia to the other?

Only messing ;), would be useful

10 Jul 2013 09:55:53
nhaki wells has turned down a chance to move to leeds utd.

Nhaki wells signing for swfc that's why Davis has signed for Preston Wednesday pulled out of deal

Wells is unproved and in my opinion is not anything special.

That's double garbage. One. Wells turned down the chance to talk to Leeds in January. Two, I know one of the City players and he told me Wells is happy and going nowhere. Don't spread rubbish unless you can back it up.

10 Jul 2013 09:54:31
AFC Wimbledon defender Jim Fenlon has been attracting interest from Peterborough, Middlesborough and MK Dons. Peterborough had previously shown interest in the full back, and MK Dons interest will cause some controversy due to the history of the clubs.

We wouldn't sell any player direct to MK even if they offered a huge amount of money. I don't see how he would attract interest from the likes of Middlesborough when he's been injured for the last 6 months or so anyway.

Middlesbrough are looking to bring in two players from the russian league one is a striker and a left back for cover for friend unamed so far waiting for names to come thru

And posh have said they don't want any more defenders

Wnt be buying a LB when we have halliday, who has proven he can be a backup for friend. not complaining about a striker though we need one- desperatly.

Totally agree friend and haliday even reach can play there plenty of left backs at mfc. We do need 3 quality signings CB, RW and Striker.

Jim Fenlon could come in at Middlesborough because he is only 18, might be able to loan him out for a couple of seasons. I'm told heis held in very high regard at the dons

Halliday is the worst defender I've ever seen in a boro shirt, how dare you say he can be cover, we need cover there and I hope halliday leaves

Mk dons will not buy a league 2 player but it don't surprise me fenlon wants to join the real DONS! and if some one in the championship wants to buy a injury riddled bowditch then go for it :)

All I can say is, if Fenlon is to leave, we'd better get a huge sum for him/major sell on %.
A back injury is nothing to worry about and at 18, he is already an absolutely outstanding player. I see him easily reaching championship level and possibly well above.

Halliday was bought as a winger so we should play him as a winger not a left back.

Fenlon will almost certainly stay for this season. Based on the reliability of a performance in one half of a preseason friendly he looks like he will get a lot of game time. x

We wouldn't want anyone from AFC anyway.

Bristol City are in talks with Calcio Padova (Serie B Italian side) over 24 Year old Midfielder Niccol Galli. Sean O'Driscoll has been impressed by scout reports provided to him.
The fee is for around 200,000euro, he is expected to have a trial next week and sign by the end of july if he impresses.

Is it true that Neil Sullivan has left Doncaster Rovers? That leaves us without an experienced goalkeeper? Or are we about to sign a goalkeeper? Please not Paddy Kenny!

Yes sully has left the club and we have no keeper on our books but rumours are they will be looking at a French keeper and a reserve keeper from Chelsea. we really need to sign a keeper before the weekend as they are due to go to Portugal for a few days after the motherwell game.

DRFC have been very poor communicating with fans this summer. I believe he has but obviously can't confirm without the cub confirming too. They need to pull their finger out and get some solid information to the fans. We're starting to become frustrated and worried.

David Cotterill tweeted this earlier this week "Wanna wish the legend that is Neil Sullivan god luck on his future great guy great professional still looking well for 43!

We got relegated because we dident have the players to compete in the championship, we gained promotion back to the championship and now we need too get the right players in to stay in this league,, spend some money jr not just freebeez and as beens, we need a goal keeper among many others, we need some quality players sooner rather than later

Wouldn't mind lee camp, but yeh we need to spend money, invest, season tickets are paid fr in advance repay the fans with some credible signings. And agreed media communications have been poor this per season to date.

Dan Drfc

But they won't spend money because then they won't make any and that's what they are most bothered about partly why I'm not getting a new season ticket

More moaning change the record

Football has gone the way of you have to spend money if you want to survive people saw it coming years ago, first season in the championship finished 12th, every year after that we got lower and lower because teams around us spent money on quality players it's as simple as that

Officially gone sad to see the man go and big boots to fill by someone good luck sully

Why should the club tell the whole world in advance who they are trying to sign.
That would just be stupidity.
God, some Rovers fans just moan and moan whatever is happening.

I no what you mean pal. All I hear from some rovers fans is moan moan moan. Donne are in championship get behind both manager and players and see what they can do

Good luck sully, heard he's going Bath city as player coach.

Dan Drfc

Eddie Howe set to offer 1.8 million for Danny Ings and 0.7 million for midfielder Marvin Bartley, Howe also interested in Brian stock who has been told to find a new club.

If Burnley manage to get £70k for Bartley they'll be delighted - £700k and the Clarets will be performing cartwheels.

If that's true ( seriously doubt) then Howe is a complete and utter person. No one would pay 700k for Bartley & Ings is barely worth £1mil

10 Jul 2013 09:26:37
Everything seems to have went quiet on rangers signing another goalie ie. marian kello or craig Gordon if he proves his fitness, I had heard almost 2 weeks ago that we were very interested in signing marian kello, I was also told on Monday that we're still interested in ex hearts centre half marius zaliukas

10 Jul 2013 09:22:32
Kevin Davies will finally sign for PNE today

Already signed

He's signed

10 Jul 2013 09:17:33
Yeovil will announce the signings of Matty Dolan and Ngoo on loan from Liverpool this week.

Ngoo just confirmed!

This looks a good signing just a bit worried about Paddy Madden I hope the rumours about him going to Crystal Palace hope this is not true hopefully Mr Johnson can keep him

I shouldn't worry about it. As soon as Johnson signed Ngoo all of the rival fans on here were going to put two and two together and come up with five! Johnson's made his views on the signing of Ngoo clear and there's no indication anyone, striker or otherwise, is leaving.

Don't think matty Dolan will be announced soon because Middlesbrough wouldn't let him go out on loan as they want to sell him

10 Jul 2013 09:00:31
Port vale set to sign Swindon town centre midfielder Alan Navarro on 1 year deal.

Nope don't want him and Micky has said he doesn't want him. Not good enough for Swindon = not good enough for us

Hope you sign him been a waste of money at swindon and be good to get him of the wage bill.

I hope they do sign him! I'll even pay the taxi fare for him to get there!

Don't think so, it is agent talk

Definitely not coming Vale, Micky Adams already told the press he doesn't even know who he is, not good enough for us.

Not good enough for Vale?

Seems to be either loved or hated at the teams he's played for.

10 Jul 2013 08:57:09
Burnley are close to a deal with Danny Haynes on a 3 year deal

Hope not - he is gash.

Hes not too bad if we can supply him with the chances up front. The problem he's had in the past is he's played for gash teams. he's got the build and the pace just work on his finishing and technique in training and for a free transfer i'm sure he would grab a few goals. Decent replacement for pato in my oppinion

Think you meant notts county

10 Jul 2013 08:51:55
Hull City's Steve Bruce is chasing Carlton Cole and Connor Sammon after being forced to ditch his £5m swoop for Charlie Austin.

10 Jul 2013 10:46:10
Well, if Bruce catches Sammon, I hope he chucks him back!

Looks like Hull are trying to beat Derby's record relegation points total

Connor Salmon - you poor buggers!

Nobody's chasing Connor Sammon, he's rubbish.

10 Jul 2013 12:41:24
Hull will regret not taking a chance on Austin - he could have bagged 10 goals and enough to keep them in the PL for a second season. The Austin no-deal will come back to haunt them, mark my words.

I'd don't know why anyone would want to sign sammon, he's not even L1 quality

Seems Austin stuation is same as Hull had with jimmy Bullard and he did no good for hull

10 Jul 2013 08:51:20
wba and southampton want everton striker jelavic

Don't know why we would be interested in him. Had a uninspiring season last year, is over our 'target' age of 25 and would probably command a large fee.

We don't want him and we're not interested!

Need hooper, not jelavic

I personally, would snap up Jelavic. Last Season when Lambo was working the channels we created loads of chances that went begging. Jelavic is just what we need to score even more!

Hope not

Jelavic would be class if he gets his form back

Saints don't want jelavic.

We're linked with damiao and osvaldo, not players on the cheap from other premier league sides.

Get your facts right instead of looking at the table and taking a stab at who might be interested

10 Jul 2013 08:50:56
Southampton have revived talks over a £13m deal for Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.

pochettino has identified everton striker jelavic as a top striker target and are set to move for the striker this week.

Would hope not, jelavic was poor last season

Jelavic didn't have a great season last time but he is a good allround striker with prem experience and wouldn't command a particularly massive fee. When Everton first signed him he was prolific, if we can get him into that kind of form he would be a real asset.

10 Jul 2013 08:46:54
Sunderland will sign giaccherini in thd next few days for 8million euro.

Sunderland have also placed a bid for a brazilian stiker, the reported bid is 16million. no names confirmed yet

10 Jul 2013 11:14:08
that would be leandro damiou i'm guessing

I would be stunned if it was Damiao

10 Jul 2013 08:46:47
chelsea are closing in on a deal to bring in striker christian benteke from villa to form part of there new look striking options. demba ba to eave which eaves mourinhio with lukaku, torres and benteke to choose from.

Benteke has came out and said he would rather join spurs cause of first team football yes Chelsea are interested but don't see him joinin them tbh

I hope Bentekkers enjoys the bench!£30m for him & we'll just spend it on more quality - Weimann can play Benteke's role with ease anyway & so can Agbonlahor!
Benteke is an utter disgrace!

It wouldn't surprise me if Chelsea used Ba as part of the deal to sign Benteke

Ba wouldn't suit Aston Villa & they said the only player they have any interest in is Lukaku (which they won't be getting!)

10 Jul 2013 08:39:51
Kevin Davies to sign for PNE today! watch this space.

Davis has signed official on lep

KD's range rover is outside Deepdale as we speak!

West ham are currently in negotiations with Salomon Kalou (they have met the 3m euro's buy out value).

10 Jul 2013 08:22:27
Matt upson expected to sign by Sunday on a 2 year deal for Brighton before the team go to Spain for pre season training and he is expected to go with them source the argus

10 Jul 2013 10:11:04
Great addition for Brighton,
Hope we have best defence again this season.

Definitely a needed transfer for Brighton.

1 year only

He has completed the move, its a done deal. I'ts a pleasing start from oscar in my books.

Upson has signed a one year contract today.

He's signed, but it's a one year deal.

At last. Our first signing of the summer and the 2013-14 season. Hopefully some more players will come in and hopefully we'll keep Buckley, Bridcutt etc and Lopez will sign a new contract. Looking good for Brighton.

Yeah I was the one who wrote this I thought it would be a one year deal but hoped it would be a 2 year deal tbh

Upson is 34, if he's still in good form at the end of the season, I dare say the contract will be extended. It's a common code of practise for a player of that age. Great signing bolstering the Brighton defence. Now for a full back.

All Transfers on hold for Fulham as Al Fayed aims to sell the club by the end of the week. Three enquirers as of yet but little other information. Be prepared Fulham fans for big change.

Will he take his statue with him?

Come on be sensible, you cannot buy a football club in a week, due diligence takes a few months, fit and proper owner checks etc. etc. The only impact on Fulham, unfortunately for the fans, will be for Al Fayed to maximise his investment return therefore a minimal outlay on transfers.

I hope so, I hate that thing

This is not good news for Fulham. As for the statue give it back to Madame Tussaud's!

This could have been going on for ages though, al Fayed is very secretive with what he does {Ed029's Note - Pharaoh nuff..

Talking to Shahid Khan.

Only of Jacksonville Jaguars, worth $2. 5bn

To be honest Fulham need to spend because atm teams around them like norwich southamton etc. are signing very good players looks like Fer is going norwich and would fit in at fulham and Graneros going to swansea apprently thes are the kind of players fulham need and they can't let this sale of the club if it is true to get in the way otherwise they will struggle next year and have a poor season because atm the squad isn't good enough and is too old things have to change at fulham wheter this takeover will help or not more investment is needed to help the club move forard otherwise the will get left behind.

Talks have been going on for over two months between a certain NFL owner and MAF. So all but the finer details are sorted, that includes the Due Diligence, it is one of the reasons why MAF sorted his loan to equity and why Fulham voted against the fair play rules bought in by the premier league, new owners especially wealthy ones like to splash the cash.

10 Jul 2013 08:16:31
Scott Rendell set for a return to Wycombe on a 1 year deal from Luton Town. In his last stint with Wycombe he finished with 20 goals and Gareth Ainsworth is keen to give him another chance.

Not needed, Wycombe already have plenty of strikers! Rubbish rumour! Dean Morgan, Matt Mcclure, JP Pittman, Jo kuffour and Junior Moris are all the strikers Wycombe needs unless someone MASSIVE wants to come on the cheap.

Morias will be used as more of a winger/attacking midfielder, we do still need another striker, but not Rendell. If we don't need another striker why have we been looking at Ryan Bird? & had a striker on trial the othe day.

If any strikes comes in it will be a youngster or really experienced guy, dean Morgan going to be main striker

10 Jul 2013 08:16:27
Bolton interested in free agent and former palace winger amAndre Moritz. Also looking at loan bid for Newcastle winger Sammy Ameobi.

A loan bid for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has been rejected, although Bolton may go back towards the end of transfer window, if Sterling's first team opportunities are limited.

Bolton also waiting on result of Blackburns reported £1.5m 'bid' for Jay Spearing. Freedman has said Liverpool are quoting over the odds for the player, whilst Spearings agent (s) has dismissed any bids being made for the player.

Leicester seemingly counting the coppers with regards Jermaine Beckfords protracted transfer to Bolton. A free transfer has been mentioned as the club would save more money in releasing the player with severance than a transfer fee would command. Also should Beckford play one more game for the foxes (currently 49 played), they would have to pay Everton appearance fees as part of his transfer from them.

Amazing moritz left palace because he couldn't be guaranteed a place in the team, so now he's at Bolton asking the same thing.

Heard he was un impressed with Holloways tactics for next year of 4-5-1 which won't see him get much game time. Must of learnt his lesson from the 4-3-3 Bpool played which won plaudits but not points!

10 Jul 2013 07:23:50
Strong newspaper reports suggest Fayed keen to reduce debt at Fulham to make club better option for prospective buyer. Also suggested that Fulham will not go heavy in transfer market and will bring in three players spending 12m. Karagounis re-signed for another year, good player but not a demonstration of real intent in the market.

Be interesting if Fayed or the club make any response to these reports.

Don't know what you are saying about us reducing debt. Fayed already got rid of all our debt a couple years ago and the club has been making a small profit over the last couple years.

Fulham have no debt MAF wrote it off in January

Al fayed reduced the debt to 4 million a few months back so this is old news

Abs rubbish as its public knowledge that FFC are not in debt, they had all debt turned to equity by MAF, Shahid Kahn is buying Fulham for 180m & will give Jol 40m to buy the following - KP Boateng, Gomis & cristian errikson.

Not even a Fulham fan & I know way more than you do.

Fulham are debt free, MAF cleared the club of any outstanding debts after the Harrod's sale.

We are one of very few english based clubs not in debt.

I'm a fulham fan and although I would love those 3 players I don't think we will spend anything like that amount of money. 10-15 mil maybe not 40?

10 Jul 2013 07:15:48
Blackburn have agreed a £1. 75 Million fee with Liverpool for midfielder Jay Spearing. Spearing had been wanted by Bolton who he was on loan at last year where he claimed their Player of the Year. But to get him they will need to offload a few. Martin Olsson, Dickson Etuhu, Gael Givet and Mauro Formica are all rumoured to be on their way out with Olsson off to West Ham for £3. 5 Million, Etuhu and Givet released and Formica moving back to his native Argentina. Rovers will complete the signing of Spearing, and Free Agent David Jones, by the end of next week and should also sell these 4 too!

BRFC31 {Ed034's Note - the last I heard was spearing was waiting for prem, possibly one of the teams just promoted and didn't want to drop to the championship

This person clearly doesn't get the concept of releasing a player. Once released, you can't then proceed to try & sell them when they don't belong to the club anymore. Anyway, this all seemed rather feasible until you said Olsson to West Ham, when its been known for awhile that the bid was from Norwich.

Jones will go to Burnley

10 Jul 2013 12:44:12
Jones will go to Blackburn - more wages. simples!

Jones gone on Irish tour with Burnley

millwall have a number of trialists at the moment ben reeves (southampton)21yr old versatile left sided player, Arsenal forward Nigel Neita, Chelsea left-back Aziz Deen-Conteh on trial!
source south london press

There trialists for the development squad not millwall

10 Jul 2013 11:24:18
development squad which is millwall u21s??

Lions went down 4-2 at Welling last night and we won't be signing any of the triallists according to Lomas.

Reeves was apparently the best player, but Lomas said he doesn't improve the squad in any way.

So the deveolopment squad is nothing to do with Millwall then?

Millwall went down 4-2 and Charlton beat Welling 5-0. Hope it was a kids and trailists team

Yes they are, however the developement squad is not where these triallists wanted to remain. I agree with Lomas, don't buy for buying's skae, get players who will improve the team.

95% of them were under the age of 18 and by all accounts they didn't do to badly against men a lot stronger and bigger than them.

Of course the trialists wanted to be there, THEY ARE LOOKING FOR WORK!! It's Lomas who didn't want them!!

You'll regret not signing reeves he will be a quality player

10 Jul 2013 01:57:41

No. 9 shirt to be taken by a youth from a Premiership club on season loan.

The Sky blues are closeing in on former Birmingham and Walsall winger Peter Till.

Is that to make sure he doesn't get anywhere near another League 1 team?

Good luck he is rubbish most predictable winger ever this is from a Walsall fan

09 Jul 2013 23:59:53
Stephen Gleeson not playing in the friendly today for MKDons against UDC AFC. A possible hint that he wants out before the end of the transfer window

Rubbish. he was playing a testimonial for his old SCFC physio.

Getting bored off all of the doom and gloom from Dons fans

Come on boys you can do it this season COYD

He was playing in Stockport physio Rodger Wylde's testimonial. He will be back in Dublin for a behind closed doors game.

He was allowed to return to the UK to play in a testimonial before linking back with the squad.

He was given permission to play in a testimonial.

Stephen Gleeson is going no where he missed the friendly to play in a friends testomonial game at stockport! get facts right!

Off to Peterborough, maybe

10 Jul 2013 11:30:34
He had a meeting with Brentford as well.

He had a meeting with brentford about what? because it ain't about a transfer!

Maybe he met with Brentford to see what it's like at a club where promotion is taken seriously?

Just a thought.

09 Jul 2013 22:48:38
As I said a family friend is a Boro Scout! In terms of foreign strikers boro have looked at the following
Maxime Lestienne - possible
Jelle Vossen - £2mil buy out, but will go to PL team.
Ilombe Mboyo - highly watched after impressive season.
Filip Djordjevic - I posted this a while back. I'd but a bet on this guy coming in for around £850,000

Brugge have turned down an £8mil bid for Lestienne so no chance!
Cannot afford Vossen end of.

I think you've been playing to much football manager, love your players choice thou, mfc should employ you as a scout

As much as I would of loved to return home, unfortunately I will be staying in Bolton for now. DW

Where is the money coming from

As I said Vossen is going to a PL team.
Lestienne talk is pure rumour though I'll agree they want big money which we don't have.
Djordjevic is somewhere around the top of the list as is Mboyo!
Danny Graham is also on that list as a loan deal.

I would love vossen, however money is always an issue. If we sell players then it could happen I suppose. Unless they've been saving up their pennies for something like this

Yea rite stop playing fifa 13 mate he's like worth 5mill Maxime Lestienne would love him like he's top prem

09 Jul 2013 23:38:27
