would like to know what is going on at plymouth argyle getting rid of walts on a free? i thought we were going to see a bit of finacial nouse with brent in but it appears to be the same old story of getting rid of players cheaply/giving them away. but if we were looking at a player like that cost us an arm and a leg. id like some answers as to how were going to challenge for anything when were not even getting a real quality in???????

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Letting Walton go is sensible if he is unhappy, also frees up his wages as he was one of the higher earners. Defence, one of the best in the division, midfield we have some good prospects, but yes we would all like to see an experienced player come in, as well as a goal scorer, but it is not all doom and gloom! Brent will run the club in sensible fashion to avoid history repeating itself, but I reckon he wants to get back to the championship, and Fletcher is the fella to do it. Lets be a bit more positive and give them a chance. COYG Bryher Pilgrim

plymouth supposed to be aiming for promotion? we get rid of our captian and probably one of the better players. and we bring in a rserve goalkeeper and a non-league striker. who i think both have potential but i must say waht is going on we stayed up by the grit of our teeth last season and we still have pretty much the same squad. is this going to be another long season for the plymouth fans?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Miserable moaner! What is wrong with a bit of optimism at this time of the year? Argyles form in the lasrt third or more of the season was play off form. Waltons goals mainly penaltys and Wotten justas good at them. We are in l2 not going to sign big names, but players that want to fight for us. COYG Bryher Pilgrim.

Agree1 Disagree1

I dont seem to see any where in this post where it says anything bout big names but i bet your pulling your hair out as much as any one else when the likes of hemmings, mcleod etc are being missed oh and before anyone says anything i used hemmings as an example cos i know he said he didnt went a return to plymouth

Agree1 Disagree0

Williams re signing is of more significance than Cleod or Hemmings not coming, as both were loan signings, the like of whom we will see again, maybe better!

Agree0 Disagree0

Im guessing your not a Plymouth fan? both were loan signings. Mcleod released by barnet was not on loan JUVHEL TSOUMOU released by preston was.

Orient to make big name signing during the next few days. cant disclose his name yet, but he can certainly score goals. Orient season ticket sales are well down at present, and Hearn is desperate to bring in a 'name'
to boost sales ( inside info )
Also, Mooney to go out on Loan, and Brentford midfielder Bean will replace Spring.

Funny, six months ago fans were chanting for SD head at his appointment. Six months ago fans were chanting for SD because he hadn't won a game in eight. Six months ago fans want SD out because he was signing players like Big Chris. Six months ago fans wanted SD out because he had over looked the academy talent.

Vote with your feet, but I bet if the Pozzos turn around this club you'll all be wanting a piece of the good times then! In conclusion - small minority of fickle fans. 1881 and onwards.

Why do Southend fans go overboard over every little piece of info they get about their team? no one is interested bar them.. Desperation for attention for their team springs to mind. Maybe their insecure about their chances that they have to role call every bit of info on here to get noticed.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Isn't this the same with every club, i am a southend fan and i couldn't care less about who your team signs,

In my opinion the reason Whitbread was released goes back to the Bolton home game.Ayala had already gone off injured & Whitbread had a hamstring tweak a couple of minutes before half time, Lambert wanted him to stay on until it could be assessed at half-time as there was no suitable replacement. Whitbread still went off so Norwich played with 2 full backs at centre half, the only thing that saved the situation is that Coyne did not put Kevin Davis on from the bench until it was too late in the game to take full advantage..very strange when you consider Norwich played 2 centre forwards against Newcastle at Carrow Rd when they had no centre halves & had their biggest win of the season..but we're only supporters who know nothing....

Just to set a few Hornets straight ...

The Pozzo's DO want for an "immediate" return to the Premier League. What they referred to as having no time-scale was the long term process of SUSTAINING Watford in the top flight, not moving up into it.

There will be funds available. To employ Zola is the beginning - We're looking elsewhere for a GK after pulling out from the Heaton deal (meaning a search for a better quality keeper) and both are signs of money which wasnt there a month ago.

We should understand over achievement like nobody else. Boothroyd's reign, last season, the Premier League - We were 3 or 4 wins away from reaching the play offs under Dyche, but this year we have everything geared toward promotion and if you still aren't optimistic at the thought of our club doing something with their season, consult a psychiatrist

Have thought all along that it should be Dundee who take the "Club 12 " slot as this rewards a team for finishing high up a league rather than one who finished bottom.....However! Dunfermline are quite right to state their has been no previous precedent and in recent seasons, clubs have simply avoided relegation, Aberdeen a couple of years back, rather than the 2nd place club being promoted so.....with sporting integrity all the rage, it should be Dunfermline's place in the SPL.
