Saints fan here - not a good start I'll agree, but how come I don't feel too down beat with our performance, and still feel confident that we can and will survive back in the EPL.......any opinions - bar skates.....COYRs

I don't think Saints will finish bottom but they will still go down because defence lets in too many goals. Danny Fox is a liability at left-back - already he has made mistakes which have cost valuable points.
Saints, Norwich and Reading for the drop - can outspend most clubs in Championship but don't have enough money to bother the big boys.
Agree with you mate. I'm proud of our performances against United and City and, over the past few months, there are plenty of other clubs who made 'Wigan look like title favourites'. Our defence will be strengthened by Yoshida and left-back Shaw is biting at the bit to prove he is our new 'wonder kid' not Ward-Prowse. Ramirez hasn't featured yet, who would have been ideal vs Wigan and we DO have enough money to strengthen further in Jan. The people disagreeing with you are the same ones who were gutted by our promotion. We will prove them wrong, again.

You look comfortable going forward, quite impressive at times, and in midfield there dosent appear grave cause for concern but defense a bit shambolic at times to say the least, this is where you need to spend money! Think perhaps Ramirez fee could have been better spent where it was really needed. You will struggle but can see you staying up and consolidating next year, good luck. Bryher Pilgrim.

Jonathan Hogg's alreade moved his family down here, and I'm pretty sure he is in Zola's long-term plans.
I would like to see a lot of outgoing activity during the loan window, but I don't suppose Hoddy will go.
I'm a villa fan and I hope someone gets the best out of that lad it's a shame he was farmed out, potentially a premier league defensive mid from what I saw when he was learning his trade with us
