Oxlade Chamberlain will not be going to Stoke, they simply don't have that sort of money to pay for unproven youngsters.
Also, his family are from Portsmouth, and are more likely Portsmouth fans than Stoke fans. Basically from his Dad's comments if he's going anywhere, it's to Arsenal, and only if NC and NA are happy with the deal.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

They are Pompey fans And he would of gone there if it hadn't been for the lack of academy at the time.

I am not a big football fan, although I follow Arsenal football club.

My sister is dating Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and yesterday at her birthday party I put the question to him in person if he is staying or going? Roughly in his words he said...

"I'm not sure to be honest, I would love to play for Arsenal, I'll take Walcott's place anyday Its up to NA and NC first to accept a bid then I can decide if I want to sign or not. I reckon its 80:20 that I will go. I will miss my boys tho, espescially adam lallana, hes a great guy."

I then asked do you know who's transfers going through?

He said the players Nigel Adkins is intrested in for Southampton before the Leeds game are:

-Radlow Majewski(Notts Forest)-1.25m
-Nicky Maynard(Bristol C)-4m
-Jack Cork(Chelsea)-900k
-Michele Camporese(Fiorentina)-3m

They will sell Puncheon, Seabourne and Butterfield.

Liverpool have shown a serious interest in Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis, and have made a bid of around 18m.
The Madrid club are thought to be seeking around 22.8m for the player.
Liverpool also chasing the signature of Brazilian midfielder Ganso, and will make a bid of around £40m.
Liverpool are not short of funds, owner John Henry spent over $150m on two baseball players just over a year ago, and Director of Football Damien Comolli has stated he "will be backed financially" if it means securing the services of "world-class" players.

How does liverpool plan on attracting these world class players without CL football, You's dont even have a world class player to even help attract others restrain yourselfs from typing this constant attrocity

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Wake up liverpool fans, you will only get 2nd rate players until you qualify for champions league , all the players you have been reckon to be signing have rejected you for champions league football, clichy, young, jones and so will mata, aguero, ganso.

I'm pretty sure he could'nt even get into the top 3 teams in the Championship , whoever they may be

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Top 3 ? You have 5 there? {Ed025's Note - we can discount....liverpool & arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

When or were did he say this?Sounds like a lot of rubbish to me.And he would walk into every championship team.As the championship is poor. Why do you think he wanted out of it?And got a £3.5 million quid move to the team he supports? There is not a lot of players, moving for that kind of money in that league. Also when was the last time a championship team played in Europe as a championship club?Let alone make a major final? They can qualify through the cup? There has been none has there? So do not be to fast to write of the SPL teams.

can anyone explain the following as i think everyone in the toon are in dismay

ALAN PARDEW has assured fans that the £35m recouped from the sale of Andy Carroll back in January is being channelled into the playing side of Newcastle United.

Fans have posed the question of where the money will be spent throughout the summer so far, with an additional £4m understood to have been picked up for departed skipper Kevin Nolan.

But Pardew said: When you sign somebody like Demba Ba or Sylvain Marveaux there are huge transfer fees involved in that.

This is, unfortunately, how the Premier League works and a lot of money from those deals does not come back through the system.

Ideally, in the old days we d sign somebody from the Championship and the money goes back into the English game.

A lot of money goes out through agents and stuff like that. Pardew whose only cash purchase thus far is Yohan Cabaye indicated that a lot of the Carroll funds have already been spent despite the free transfer deals for Ba and Marveaux.

He added: We have spent a fair amount on these three players in particular more than the fans realise.

I need to mark their card on that.

If you are going to start adding up the money you will be way off the figures.

Mike promised to put that back in the club.

I know what the figure is and what has been spent on the training ground and everything will go back in the club.

We are trying to locate one or two development players that cost more than you think.

I want to say that because Mike and Derek s backing has been very strong so far and I am pleased with it.

The progress we are making is very good and it bodes well.

Pardew also feels that signings made so far will put Newcastle back on the right track.

He said: I said when I came here that we need a strategic plan so that we can compete with the top teams.

As it stands financially at the moment we can t compete with those top teams in terms of trading players.

We can compete on the pitch though.

We need players who want to play for Newcastle and that s why we have targeted the players we have.

so where has the money gone the fans ask

Listen, everyone always dismisses any rumour on this site as rubbish but I 100% know this is true I am a Barnsley fan with a contact at the club, he tells me little bits every now and then and t'other night he shared a couple of bits of information:

Mark Beevers WILL be moving to Oakwell, Sheffield Wednesday made it clear to Barnsley how much they'd accept for him (I don't know the figure) however Barnsley were waiting on a potential loan move for a Premiership defender (again, not sure who it is) but this loan move was rejected, so Beevers will be targeted again.

Also, Leeds United have made THREE attempts to talk to Barnsley about Luke Steele, but the club have rejected all their efforts. Barnsley have also rejected an enquiry from an unnamed Scottish club for Danny Haynes and an audacious bid from Brighton for Jay McEveley.

Finally, Crewe have agreed a deal IN PRINCIPAL to sign Jordan Clarke on loan for the season but this is not yet finalised. Apparently, RNL is also a loan target for them, but Keith Hill has made it very clear already to the Oakwell heirarchy that the young player could play a prominent part this season for the Reds.

(Oh, and a nice little bit of gossip for you Barnsley fans, one player who Keith Hill has signed for the club has a clause in his contract allowing him to talk to either Sheffield club should they come calling) {Ed025's Note - wow...you certainly seem to be in the know

A club in debt like Coventry losing £500,000 a month will always sell players.

Expect Jutkiewicz to move to Southampton and there may well be interest from other Championship clubs in Martin Cranie and Sammy Clingan.

If Coventry average 17000, they should budget for 17000 and therefore, need to sell players to raise money AND get the wage bill down

----------------------------------
I'll think you will find that we DON'T need to sell our best players this season at least, we just sold a company called ProZone to keep our debts floating this year to the extent of not having to sell more asset's. With Marlon, Westie, Gunnar, Carlsey, O'Halloran, Osbourne, few more kids and maybe a couple i've forgotten about too, we have money to cover things, thanks PUSB

SISU are aware that their shelf life at the Club is likely to be shortlived. Hoffman's bid has not been formally rejected, as there were a couple of issues with the paperwork. Dulieu is aware of and considering the terms, but it will likely be rejected. SISU are holding out for some of their costs to be covered and are likely to take us into administration if a suitable offer doesn't come in. Should this happen, we shall be deducted ten points and someone will pick us up for peanuts. If this is in the back of SISU's minds, expect reasonable offers (for Ben Turner, currently) toi be given serious consideration.

Yes, most of the Swindon rumours I get are from the club or from long standing fans David Warren, Keeley Buck and Andy Neale). Keeley posted the one about staff being unhappy with Paolo and one of her's got removed (Searchlight wanted the FA to block Paolo's appointment as manager).

Keeley's b/f supports Liverpool and Danny Ward has recommended Swindon Town to Steve (they are good friends) and also Deale Chamberlain was linked but he is going to Cardiff if his dad becomes the GK coach.

CHELSEA FC -
We need a major overhaul, simple as that. This is an aspirational target list for acquisitions by CFC over the next two or three years which would place Chelsea at the top of European football for the better part of next decade. It is informed by Chelsea related transfer talk but not exclusively beholden to suchtalk (I think most people would fairly acknowledge that recent events such as those that occurred during the Winter window, both demonstrate a willingness upon the part of Roman to continue to invest in the club and that transfer talk is not necessarily even a vague indication of the transfer actions that may ensue at a particular club).
-
The likely clear out of unwanted playersis also slowly being established, Micheal Mancienne, Jack Cork, Hilario, Fabio Borini, Ryan Bertrand and Paulo Ferreiraseem likely to be moved on. Personally I's like to see Mancienne and Borini given another loan, they seemed to be developing well not long ago, and I don't believe we should be too hasty, we have a small enough squad as it is (Squad size is another problem that needs to be addressed but putting a winning XI on the park should be the primary priority). Jeffrey Bruma, Jacopo Sala, Gorkhan Tore, Josh McEachran and Milan Lalkovic and Patrick van Anholt all seem set for loan spells as well and Kakuta is probably an even chance to be loaned out again.
-
Jose Bosingwa may be thrown a lifeline by the fact that it now appears Bayern Munich are the front runners for Gregory van der Wiel (though this has also re intensified speculation visa vi Micah Richards, and recent interest in Rafinha and Maxi Pereira should also beconsidered).
-
DEF:
-
Defensively we have a few concerning issues, a lack of options on the right, injuries to key centre backs and more talent than we can field in one team on the left.
-
On the right we have Bosingwa and possibly the oft muted signing Darijo Srna, (which it should be pointed out is perhaps more off than on at present) who will both be 29 by mid season next year will be useful, but again successionfor maturing players must be considered. There is also considerable talk about the future of Bosingwa at theclub, and given his recent form, probably not unjustifiably so.
-
Continually mentioned in the transfer pages, Gregory van Wiel could be the alternative for the future. Despite concerns about his ability under pressure van der Weil should be the main defensive target in the next transfer period. Benfica's Maxi Pereira has potential, though his availability is inquestion.
-
In the centre, our key interest seems tobe in Rolando and Neven Subotic, but I would not regard either as of crucial necessity at this point.
-
On the left, we already have Cole, Zhirkov and van Anholt, an embarassment of riches already but given that Ashley is now 30 it is time to consider the succession. Juan Manuel Vargas and Fabio Coentrao need to be considered and hopefully Yuri Zhirkov may see more time as a left mid in future, leaving the left back to van Anholt and Vargas/Coentrao/Bale (hell the left side would be incredibly strong ifone of them played left back, one left mid and one left wing ).
-
Gareth Bale is probably better as a left winger anyway, he will be horrendously overpriced, his signature will depend upon more than our wealthy benefactor.I am a large Zhirkov fan but would be willing to see him go should it help us land Bale. A better solution would see an aging Malouda make way for Zhirkovand have Vargas/Coentrao/Bale sit between Cole and Zhirkov or on the bench. Spain's young star Nacho Monreal shouldn't be ruled out withour consideration either.
-
MID:
-
Age, injuires and a lack of squad depth are all issues for our midfield despite the fact we have one of the finest in world football.
-
We need to stiffen up our defensive midfield our current combination of Mikel, Essien and Ramires works alright, but having Essien and Ramires capable of getting further forward is an asset (my Nigerian friends would at this point note that Mikel plays much further forward for them too). Oriel Romeu, Gueida Fofana, Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe and Kwadwo Asamoah are all youthful, strong exceedingly capable defensive mids, ideally I'd sign two and loan one out for a while. The big name in this fieldis Moussa Sissoko, I would argue that his 30 million Euro buyout clause is probably worth it.
-
As for a box to box mid, my preferencesare for the likes Joao Moutinho, Steven Defour, Josip Ilicic or Armin Bacinovic. Nuri Sahin is a RM player now, which is a great shame, we've now missed out on three young Bundesliga midfielders (Sahin, Ozil and Khedira) all to Real Madrid .
-
Next season when Cesc hopefully returns and Barca youngster Thaigo Alcantara (and perhaps his younger brother Rafa) is suddenly pushed to the outer should be considered for a contract. Joao Moutinho is apparently also a Barcelona target, he would go some ways to cover our current midfieldfrailties, look for example at what Raul Meireles has done for Liverpool .
-
The young Shaktar Donetsk pair of Alex Teixeira and Douglas Costa would makefine additions. Teixeira was the star of the U 20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009, while Costa has been dubbed the next Ronaldinho . Another great prospect is Deportivo s new signing Uruguayan winger Urreta, young, fast and very creative, everything we need. One of them alongside Alexis Sanchez should be signed for the right. Kaka mow also may be in on the right.
-
Further on left Kakuta could be joined by Willian, Antoine Griezmann, Balasz Dszudszak or Juan Mata . I'm a big Diego Perotti fan too though, despite this wealth of options Zhirkov playing more and further forward may be a simpler cheaper solution.
-
Bale is rather overrated regards his league performances and also rather overpriced, however he is a genuine biggame performer and it is highly likely that we will look to augment our midfield as well this summer, when Bale's not on song he could be replaced by Ramires or Lampard. We also still have Yuri Zhirkov, (who really deserves more game time than he gets) and Malouda is now increasingly looking his age. If we further consider our options on the left, Vargas, Coentrao, Greizmann, Dszudszak, Perotti, Mata, Monreal and Willian, there are a wealth of talented playmakers and even some proven goalscorers, but no Bale esque game breakers. There is an argument that we need a Mata or Willian far morethan we need a Bale, and 90% of the time that would be true, but that 10% may be a Champions League semi final.
-
To properly replace Deco, Jacob Mellis just isn t good enough and with Alan Dzagoev, Paulo Henrique Ganso or Javier Pastore targets, one of them mayreplace Mellis. Shaktar playermaker Fernandinho would be a valuable acquisition and at only 25 would be good for years to come.
-
FWD:
-
Our current quartet of forwards includesTorres, Drogba, Anelka and Kalou. The only one of these players guaranteed a spot next season is Torres. Drogba I would think is likely to stay now, he's hitsome form and will be needed if Torres recent success (in scoring his first Chelsea goal) does not improve his overall form. Reports have linked Drogba to Man City, Tottenham , Marseilles and LA Galaxy , of these Marseilles would be the most likely destination, but I think Drogba leaving next season is unlikely. Anelka will probably therefore be the player sacrificed in order to bring in the new blood, he's been a very good player for the club, but will likely be forced out by the new talent, he won't go back to France, Tottenham , Inter and New York Red Bulls are his most likely destinations, with Chelsea preferring either of the latter. The decision about Kalou will be difficult, he's still relatively young really and has been a good squadplayer. I think he's probably safe next season, but with youngsters biting at hisheels and new stars being brought in hislong term future may not be with Chelsea .
-
Out on loan we have Daniel Sturridge, Gael Kakuta , Fabio Borini and Daniel Philliskirk. Sturridge has been excellent while out on loan and will likely be brought back to play a part in next season's campaigns. Kakuta has been quite impressive too and there is a reasonable chance that he will also return from loan for next season. Borini has been very good for Swansea, but the chances of him making a step up are considerably smaller, I expect he'll likely be released, but there is also the chance he may be set for another loan spell. Philliskirk will quite likely be released. Of the reserves Lalkovic and Mitrovic are both promising, but so were Borini and Philliskirk, they will probably see some loan time next season, but it will be interesting to see where they go from there.
-
Now for the new boy, Neymar. I won't wax lyrical about the young Brazil star, his results at the recent South AmericanU20 Championships speak for themselves. the recent issue of his becoming a father is a potential complication though.
-
Now for the speculators, firstly Romelu and Jordan Lukaku. Romelu is, as I see it, a must signing but he need not necessarily join the team straight away, a loan back to Anderlecht, or preferably a small team where he would play in Europe (and England, Stoke I'm looking at you) would be ideal, as we first needto integrate Neymar with the rest of the team and the English game. Jordan is apparently progressing very nicely too, but I view him as less essential at this point.
-
The players for whom Anelka may makeway are the stars Chelsea are considering, Pato, Sergio Aguero and Edinson Cavani. These guys are the options for Torres medium term partner, I'm a big fan of all three, though at present I'd have to give the job to Cavani, he's just playing the best at present.
-
Then there are the threats to Kalou's spot, Gervinho, Seydou Doumbia (and apparently Taison from some reports I've heard recently) are potential support strikers, and a threat to Kalou's future at the club. Gervinho has been good, but not great for Lille, but brings the bonus of being quite an accomplished winger as well as a striker. Doumbia is basically Drogba a decade ago, he's still learning the game, but will develop into a great striker. Taison is very quick, and is scoring at a better rate for Metalist Kharkiv than he did for Internacional . A final entrant in this category is Lacina Traore with his great height would make an ideal super sub in the mold of Tore Andre Flo, tall and dangerous near goal.
-
Then there is the Mourinho and Villa Boas factors to consider, Samuel Eto'o, Emmanuel Adebayor , Hulk and Falcao are not really on the radar at the moment for Chelsea (well Eto'o and Hulk to a certain degree), a change of manager however may shift this perception and potentially the transfer targets.
-
Finally the outliers, the players for whom a move to Chelsea is unlikely to say the least, but who would each bring a certain added value to the club. Firstlythere is Park Chu Young, a skillful Korean striker who would broaden Chelsea's Asian merchandising horizons, ditto to Japan's Takayuki Morimoto. Finally Jonathan Biabiany, the fastest man in French football is a great young striker, Inter made a mistake swapping him for Giampaolo Pazzini (not that Pazzini is a bad player, but Biabiany could have developed into a truly great one), we should consider benefiting from Inter's folly.
-
Final Considerations
-
There is a wealth of talent in La Liga that Chelsea should be considering, particularly, given our recent interest the Catalan nursery, at Barcelona . The likes of Thiago and Rafa Alcantara, SergiRoberto, Oriol Romeu, Gerard Deulofeu and Hector Bellerin have already been well documented as the next big playerscoming off the Catalan production line, and have all been linked with moves to Chelsea , at one time or another. A few others that Chelsea should consider are the 'next Gerard Pique', Marc Muniesa, the 'next Dani Alves', Albert Dalmau andthe 'next Carlos Puyol', Andreu Font s.
-
Some have also been pushing for an Asian star for a while, namely Park Chu Young, Shinji Kagawa or Keisuke Honda, would be a great signing not just for Merchandising in Asia, but they are good players. Other options include, Takashi Usami, Japan's young player of the year, Ryo Myaichi, Shinji Kagawa and Ki Sung Yeung.
-
Finally, this is just a list of options, I'm in no way suggesting we signA them all, this isn't FM or FIFA, this is a sensible deconstruction of the options available for the future of CFC, I barthy welcome all constrcutive considerations.

With an expected 4.5mil (based on the expected sales of Pilkington and Smithies) in sales huddersfield town are steering clear of over inflated transfer quotations and aiming for higher quality free transfers. Contracts have so far been offered to

Jens Berthel Askou (CD, who lee clark scouted whilst coach at norwich)
Claude Davis (CD)
Peter Leven (CM)
and Craig Fagan (Winger/ST)

Whilst these deals are far from being completed contracts are on the table and awaiting answers.

Talks with the agents of Former Blackburn keeper Jason Brown are in a preliminary stage, and is all based on whether Smithies can push through his move out of Town.

2 left backs are currently on trial with town :- Ozzie International David Carney (ex blackpool) and former arsenal Trainee and carlisle loanee Thomas Cruise.

Whilst Lee Clarks former teammate Kieron Dyer has been offered a career lifeline by the town boss with the offer of a trial, but Dyer is waiting for offers from clubs higher up the footballing spectrum.

Leeds United will confirm the signing of Alan Smith at 12:30 BST on Tuesday 05/07/2011.

It is believed that Smith will sign a two year contract worth £10k a week.

Robert Snodgrass will leave for either Leicester, Brighton or Southampton for a fee in the region of £12m.

Leeds will use the money from the sale of Snodgrass to rebuild the team.

Peter Whittingham will arrive at Elland Road for contract talks after a bid of £1m was accepted by Cardiff.

Lewis McGugan has accepted his contract offer and will undergo a medical at the club on Tuesday, expect his £1.6m signature to be made by Friday.

England U21, Ryan Bertrand has been linked with us for months and will sign a £12k a week, five year contract after a bid of £3.2m was accepted by Chelsea.

Rio Ferdinand will join up with former Man Utd and Leeds team mate, Alan Smith for a fee reportedly worth £4m, with £500k being paid upon promotion. Manchester United want him off their wage books.

Cash-strapped Birmingham City will reluctantly sell Ben Foster for a nominal fee of £1m. We will speak with Ben, who is a life long Leeds fan, later today.

Hahah you can always rely on idiotic leeds fans to start your day with a smile...this is dillusional comedy gold at its best. Keep living in the past lads and that you are a big club - because it makes laughing at you all the better

Agree1 Disagree1

Why................... As a fellow Leeds fan, you make us all look like thickos, keep to facts or at least realistic guesses,
PS how would Brighton or Southampton afford to pay £12m for a player, NOT GONNA HAPPEN, back into your basket.

Man Utd's team next season. No lies.

GK - David De Gea
DL - Patrice Evra
DC - Phil Jones
DC - Nemanja Vidic
DR - Rafael
AML - Ashley Young
MC - Darren Fletcher
MC - Anderson
AMR - Antonio Valencia
ST - Javier Hernandez
ST - Wayne Rooney

Subs:
GK - Anders Lindegaard
DC - Chris Smalling
DL - Fabio
MC - Michael Carrick
MR - Nani
ST - Federico Macheda
ML - Ryan Giggs

Likely losses to the squad include Darron Gibson, Dimitar Berbatov and Wes Brown.

I feel John O'Shea and Ji-Sung Park will stay to provide decent cover as they are proven players at the very top.

I think Man Utd need to invest in a left midfielder, such as Juan Manuel Mata, Gareth Bale (Very highly unlikely) or Martin Olsson.

They also need to strengthen the centre of midfield if they are to compete at the very highest (Barcelona) level. Yann M'Vila, Andrea? Poli and Jack Rodwell fit the bill nicely.

If Macheda doesn't fit the bill for the future (Despite the rave reviews when they signed him) Khouma Babacar, Tomas Necid or Mattia Destro are players who will play at the very highest level over the coming years.

Other targets Sir Alex should consider would be Lorenzo De Silvestri (Fiorentina), Lucas Digne (Lille) and Zakaria Labyad (PSV?)

Did RIO FERDINAND the fall off the side of the earth when you named your "no lies" team?
