Whats the latest with Kevin Phillips possibly
going to Walsall?

It wont happen, people keep saying he's coming as a player/coach but smithy has said numerous times he doesnt want an assistant and has all the coaches he needs.
-----------------------------------------------
Yes Deano dont want a assistant, but is a coach a assistant? Deano has not mentioned anything about coaches.

I doubt Phillips will happen, just wanted to say what was wrong with your reply.

I'm a Pompey fan and do not want us to ever live beyond our means. Any fans of other clubs think yourself lucky your club was not borrowed for three years to line the pockets of foreign money launderers, crooked directors and a manager who knew how the club would never be able to fund it's own running once it's so called backers went walkies to promote his own career.
Any person or club that has been done over by these people we are truly embarrassed and sorry. Please let us try and rebuild our club with dignity.

and perhaps a few more fringe players

also just a thought to make the league a fairer place what about a draft for best youngsters every 2 or 3 years with lowest place team getting first pick it would mean a organasation sorting it out but teams could pay towards running it then they could earn money from selling on a few years later perhaps it could be a european thing.

Possibly:

Sagna wont go, he seems fairly loyal to me, lansbury, wilshere wont either as they're basically going to become our new midfield as i see a 4-4-2 this new season

Leeds will never be a big club while baites in charge he would sell his own mother given the right offer and to the leeds fan who was asking why nobody likes you i can only answer from my own personal experiences with leeds, your fans have a tendancy to be arrogant to a level only surpassed by man u fans in regaurds to how big you think your club is unfortunatly its been a very long time since you had any real sucsess unlike man united you still think your uniteds biggest rivals and you have an unberleavible idiocy when it comes to the value of your players, as a huddersfield fan i have witnessed leeds first hand over the last few seasons where we have a better return in head to heads and although you were promoted by the skin of your teeth ther have been much better sides promoted last season saints and brighton , posh will struggle, who are better sides but never in a million years would you here ther fans claiming to be a big club or putting a 8m price tag on a player van der vart cost 8 million snodgrass, becchio are decent players and maybe could do a job in the premiership at a mid table side at best, rant over............. huddersfield to get cody m from norwich as part of the pilkington deal

Jack Collison will this week sign a three year contract with Swansea City after they had a bid of around £10 million accepted for the Wales midfieder/

Swansea have a budget to spend net £12m on players. With £3.5 already gone on Graham anothe £1m on a spanish Barcelona B striker called siriano? we do not have enough coffers in the bank to buy Collison..more is the pitty. We will get a couple of goalkeepers and another defender and that will be our lot. We will have a team good enough to stay up
Goalkeeper = Loach
Rangel, Williams, Caulker, bertrand.
Dyer, Bodde, Dobbie, Allen, Sinclair
Graham
Subs AN Other goalkeeper, Monk, Taylor, Gower, Soriano, Vorsah, Tate, Moore...any extras would be great but unlikely?

How funny even if Leeds are the bigger club. CMS doesn't think he wants a club with a future that doesn't live on past glories Go on gus keep up the good work

Trust me all these players will sign. Mackail Smith won't go to brighton because leeds are the bigger club and have alot of money (3rd richest) in England and have alot of history. Cork will join because he can be paided more at leeds than southampton and Burnley. Smithies will easily join as he is guarenteed first team goalie and because huddersfield are bad. and this is list of how much revenue each club makes , doesnt include how much money leaves the club on wages and such things , in some cases its a lot , hence the reason for the new uefa rules , anyone notice man city arnt in the top ten , you may have a rich owner but as a club you are a long way behind .

Believable0 Unbelievable1

This data is useful, but is distorted by the decline of the Pound against the Euro in the last three years as a fall-out of the credit crunch. At the exchange rates of a few years ago, United would still be the biggest club.

You are right to point out that City are not yet on the list, but that only demonstrates the disproportionate effect of the Champions League. If City has a good run next year, they might move up the table quite quickly (Liverpool could start to slip down it).

Still it is good to see someone actually provide solid data rather than just spit venom

So what? what are you trying to prove? You are not a jealous Man U supporter are you? Deal with the fact City can blow anyone out of the water. That includes you. Plastic man.

Agree1 Disagree1

What this does help is to understand that if your team spends heavily on players wages and don't have the revenue to cover it then they have a problem, no matter how rich their owner is, so the only plastic thing here, is the clubs who are bank rolled by sugar daddys , and thats the point of the new rules, increase your revenues to pay for what you got or you can't have it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes city with there rich owners can blow others out of the water, but only if the clubs revenue covers the wages and at the moment it doesnt, 121 million pound loss last year, and they are desperately trying to cut the wage bill as we speak .

Agree0 Disagree0

How can united be jealous, who are current English champions? City won a cup which is now the 4th biggest prize in English footie, behind winning the league title, champions league, a top 4 finish, and some may say being promoted from the championship is bigger than the fa cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hence the new signings at city players on lower wages.

they are going to struggle why would the likes of belemy leave he is on £90.000 or more and long contract still to run he would get £20.000 at most anywhere else city do need to cut the biggist wage bill inthe country otherwise the champs league experiance will be short lived and they dont even own there the stadium manchester city council do they wont sell becouse they get huge % of gate money.

And surman loves leeds so he won't hesitate at the chance of joining

Let me point out a couple of things to you -

Craig Mackail Smith Joining Brighton -www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/football-league/championship/8779/8/exclusive-brighton-win-mackail-smith-race

So Leeds are the 3rd richest club in England behind Chelsea, and Man City.....aren't you forgetting the multi-billionaire owners at QPR (I'm no QPR fan by the way) as well as a whole host of other Premier League teams.

Surman loves Leeds? Yeah, he might like the city, but he is a player who won't drop down a division to play with the Lillywhites

CB Jose Fonte Southampton 1 Million
RB Daniel Fox Burnley 1 Million
LM Andrew Surman Norwich 1 Million
CM Jack Cork Chelsea 600,000 He won't go to burnley or southampton
CM Neil Danns Cyrstal Palace Free
RM Michael Antonio Reading Free
ST Craig Mackail Smith Peterbrough 1.5 Million
ST Nathan Tyson Derby Free

----------

Fox is LB not RB and Cork will go Burnley"

------------
Neil Danns is now at Leicester....... Mackail-Smith for a) £1.5mill your having a laugh, and b) he's on the verge of joining Leicester
--------------------------
Plus hasn't Tyson just signed for Derby.
So many errors here its unbelievable
---------------------------------------
And Bournemouth do not have a left back called Alex Pearce the only Pearce we have is Jason and he has gone to Portsmouth and the only LB left in the club is Warren Cummings
So theres another error

Na these are all true. Macel Smith will join us for that price because leeds have such a good history. All of these players will join.

We also might get a few loans in like Kyle Walker and Phil Jones because they can't get in the first team and because they would be part of leeds history
------------------------
You are deluded. I suggest you see a psychiatrist.
Leeds are not a big club, you definetely won't sign 90% of those players. Smithies 1m? Joke. Mackail-Smith is going Leicster. Fox is a LB. Cork to Burnley where he's already settled and Surman to turn down PL Football? Nope, nope, nope. {Ed002's Note - Mackail Smith will be completing his move to Brighton today.}

Apparently Real Madrid are weighing up a £20m bid for Arsenals injury-prone centre back Thomas Vermaelen, as long term cover for veteran defender Ricardo Calvalho. Move could be possible with it looking increasingly likely that other major players at the Emirates are growing fed up of the trophyless run.

Chelsea to win premiership
Birmingham to win Championship
Charlton to win league 1
League 2 is anyone's

Discuss?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

For chelsea to win the premiership they are gonna need to improve, new signings are needed, the manager has to control the egos at the club, the team has to gel, but new signings will mean some have to go, the new uefa rules means clubs can only spend what they have, and when you have a wage bill that takes up all the clubs revenue, it could cause a problem, so depending on how chelsea manage all this , depends on how well they do.
