Providing the shambolic admininstration of Plymouth Argyle comes to and end on Thursday, Peter Reid will turn to former player Rory Fallon who is again a free agent. Argyle need a targety man and even Fallon would be competent at League 2 level. You heard it here first.

Fallon stated when he left. he only wants financial stability, he will not get that at plymouth

How confident is Leicester of signing Vicente now?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Interesting... I've just read the story on the Argus and it doesn't mention any other sides being interested in your new hero. Gus Poyet said "there's no doubt he had other offers" but couldn't name a single other club interested in him and the player himself also fails to mention any other bids, in fact he said that he's grateful to Brighton for allowing him to play again, that kind of suggests he had no other options to me.
All the other stories i found were on forums or message boards, not a one provided real evidence that anyone else actually wanted this bloke...

Scottish mitch... "probably either one of those fans who always want to fight or is too scared to fight and pretends to behind his computer screen"

So if he wants a fight he's a thug and if he doesn't he's a coward - brilliant logic - if it's generalisations you're after, all jockos wear skirts and live in caves, even the 0.1% who still live in scottishland

Agree0 Disagree0

England pulled out of the original Home Nations because they believed it was doing them no good at all. Frankly, if you look at the heart often shown by the other British sides and the Republic, it is clear what England lack. Their abysmal showing at the World Cup epitomised their decline. I think three derbies every other year would do them a lot of good and reinforce the idea that the shirt is an emblem of national pride. And, no, I have no ill feeling towards the team and take no pleasure in their decline.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahh, the underdog theory. We're all meant to love it because teams, or individuals show 'heart' and we're apparently meant to excuse a lack of skill because they show heart. Total rubbish, it would have done England no good to get booted by the poor relations a few times in order to win a pointless competition. Did you see Barcelona showing Heart last season? did Arsenal show Heart when Utd crushed them last weekend? Heart only takes you so far, you also need ability too.

The only thing lacking from England is some new faces, too many players are being picked because of who they are, not what they do. Here endeth the lesson. {Ed001's Note - isn't the point to have heart and skill? After all a large proportion of Barca's quality is the heart they show, hence why they are weakened by the loss of Puyol.}

I saw Adkins at Southampton general hospital yesterday, he was visiting Dan Seaborne, he said that Dan is stable and he said he couldnt say much more about him because he didn't know.
On transfers he said he is delighted with our squad now, he thought we had a terrific window.
He also told me that he think we have some of the best players in the division in Jose Fonte, Jack Cork, Rickie Lambert and obviously Adam Lallana.
Also, he said that Jay Rodriguez didn't want to leave his hometown and that if they had had time they would have made a last ditch attempt. For Lukas Jutwiekzc, however, he said they would only be back-up for Connolly if they did join so he's not too worried

Believable0 Unbelievable1

He said all that did he, to a total stranger, did he also say that you're full of s**t or should we just read between the lines?

Agree0 Disagree0

As though he said all that to a stranger

I am a Saints fan and its P****s like you that so many people hate Saints fans on this site, grow up, he did'nt say all that to you, why would he even talk to you you nob.

A better player u say don't make me laugh everton couldn't wait to get rid of the useless lump reflected in the price he went for. Yet again you've wasted your money on a below average player to go with all the rest of svens hasbeens signings.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Lol i assume you're talking about Beckford? The useless lump you refer to was Everton's second top scorer last season in the Premier League (ever heard of that?) and scored goals for fun whilst at Leeds. Jealous maybe? Maybe wishing you'd flogged your hero to give you a chance of staying up? Unlucky tinpit Bristol, you lose. {Ed025's Note - beckford done well for everton...he just did not fit into moyes formation of 4-5-1....he is a good player, and i wish him well

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, that appears to be the general consensus. Had Beckford been played in a traditional 4-4-2 i doubt you blokes would have let him go. The goals he scored last season came in an unfamiliar formation, it's a shame for all concerned that he wasn't able to revel in a more attacking system. Now, if the OP has called Yakubu a useless lump, i'd have probably agreed!

How many times have Saints won the league title?---------------------------------------------------------

You need to look where you are going not where you have been.....History counts for absolutely nothing

We do have a bit of dosh, yes, but isnt that what teams do, buy players from clubs with less dosh.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Predictions of greatness count for even less than history squire, until you've actually done something it's nothing but hot air. Focus on today, not tomorrow and certainly not yesterday.
