I have heard a lot of fussing about Blackpool and how overrated they are

They finished 15th this season because of the managerial change around, now they have stability in Ince, they will give it a good go this season.

They won promotion via the play-offs and the following season they collected 39 points in the premier league that season, which in this season would have you kept you up by four points.

The following season after that they reached the play-off final again under Holloway and they came up against Sam Allardyce's West Ham, which had players worth a lot of money and I remember watching the game on Sly and Blackpool battered West Ham and it took an 87th minute winner to break them down.

At the start of the season they got promoted, they were favourites to go down.

I would say with the exception of this season, Blackpool have had a successful few years recently and this season were not that for of the play-offs for a while. {Ed003's Note - well said,UTMP.}

Cheltenham town will be struggling this season small crowds backers can't see where income is going to come from so are having serious doubts they have looked at other teams in leagues1& 2 that have invested heavily and have succeeded Stevenage and Crawley are the only 2 clubs that seem to have succeeded they are looking at Bradford as well they reported they would be posting a loss at the start of last season but due to there cup run and promotion they maybe a club to look at to see if they can emulate them but budget's have to be reduced to survive and see if they can be in the promotion mix

Please all Stoke fans that read this and attend Stoke games give Hughes a chance, yes he might not be a good manager but he's better than no manager which is what you get from wanting them out. Even if its only one season give him a chance because if he breaks us into top 10, 9 or 8 then I am sure you will start chanting his name from the terraces, because that's what a lot of Stoke fans do. I was there at West Brom away this season when good ol' Pulis brought Whitehead on all the fans were moaning and groaning that "we were sitting back and were going to lose" then when Whitehead scored it was all "Yes Whitehead Pulis Legends". Just to sum up give him a chance he hasn't done anything not to deserve it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed. BUT He will have to show he is worth our support with the comings and goings before the start of the season. Suspect if he hopes to have 30 million to spend Begovic will have to go and another 15 million will have to come from sales. How many do we think he needs to sell to raise 15 million?
Another important factor will be the wage bill. Those leaving will have to be the higher earners and those coming in will need to be much cheaper.
He has one advantage over Tony. He has more contacts throughout the game and same goes for his backroom staff. He may attract players who otherwise would not think of joining Stoke and if he is going to play a more offensive game players will come to join the "Huverlution"

I thought Liverpool are supposed to be this big club with star players.

Suarez wants out
Reina's on his way out
Skrytle going

Which leaves a old midfielder called Gerrard left who is past his best by a long shot.

Perhaps they'll spend more good cash on the likes of Henderson & Carroll LMAO.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sounds like a bitter and jealous post, suarez will stay, Sturridge will be one of the best in the near future, along with Stirling and coutinho, Williams to replace skrtle, the future is very bright at Anfield, and I don't support em

Agree0 Disagree0

How could anybody be "jealous" of wasting £35 million on Andy "Goal Machine" Carroll?

Same for Henderson and Downing, more squandered cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

The original post was probably the mag that's always on our site, he leaves leaves a big gap between his lines and always rambling on about how they should battle with Liverpool every season in the league, he's just a deluded muppet that doesn't realise newcastle are an average team now. safc93

Quite simply Troy Deeney is not good enough for Norwich. Going into our 3rd season in the prem we are looking at a higher calibre of player. RVW being an illustration of that. Nursey of the Mirror tweeting that he has news of an impending striker move into Norwich tomorrow. Well connected with Norwich and usually reliable so watch this space.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Make the most of your 3rd season, it will be your last, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha, let me guess. Ipswich fan? People have been telling us it would be our last both last season and our first. However 12th and 11th place finishes suggest otherwise. Jealousy will only turn you into a twisted old man.

Chris Solly will not leave charlton for any team in the Championship and stated his desire to help Charlton to the Premiership.

Palace INS:
Curtis Davies-1.5m
Matthew Kilgallon-Free
Jon Flanagan-Loan
Jake Livermore-Loan
Albert Adomah-1.5m
Matt Phillips-2.5m
Javier Acuna-Free
Charlie Austin-4.5m

These signings would give us a strong backbone and a blend of experience and youth. I think all would fight for the cause and add depth and quality.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree, these signings would give us a backbone, but are any of them descent premier league players?

Bradford, Rotherham and MK Dons are all going for Scott Wagstaff, he will choose Bradford because of their potential and Bradford have money to spend.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He won't join MK because of lack of ambition.

If Palace are such a poor team what does that make the rest of the Championship who couldn't even make the playoffs! Whatever happens Palace are financially secure for the next 5 years. How do like them apples?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well we do see teams squeaking into the play-offs who are many points off the pace and going up after finishing 6th or 7th in League 2.

I think you guys will struggle but good luck to you and give it your best shot.

Suggested players for Crystal Palace

Simeon Jackson (Think he is on a free transfer still)

Milan Stepanov (has played for a lot of good teams and even though he's 30 is a towering centre back, currently playing for Mersin in Turkey, where Moritz came from. Will be good for palace as Paddy McCarthy may look to take up a coaching role)

Paddy McCourt (free transfer) ex Celtic man, decent winger can play both sides, behind the striker and in centre mid (although best on the wings).

Albert Adomah for 1.8 million (only one I'm aware of a transfer fee for)

Thomas Hitzelsperger (free transfer)

Jerome Thomas (free transfer)

I am aware a lot of these are free and play in similar positions, but there are at least 3 on here who we are definitely interested in. Moreover we have got 40 million to spend on transfers according to the Board and Olly himself. All these bitter guys being disrespectful, let's be honest teams like QPR and Newcastle have been relegated whilst having very decent teams. We may get relegated but we were favourites to go down this season, we lost our best player, we lost our manager and we had many fans losing faith in the board, the club etc (not me, I'm not 2bob lol). Regardless of what happens I'm Palace through and through. Would like to see Adamoah, hitzelsperger and jackson at the club. Can't see us spending the full 40 million either.
