I'm a little disappointed with Hughes so far in the transfer window we have only spent 3mil. I know we don't have a lot of money but it doesn't take a genius to see top talent for small fees. Here is a list of players that are cheap and would bolster our squad:
Garath McCleary - 1-2mil
Stephen Ireland - 1-3mil
Matteo Ardemagni - 3.4mil
David Hoilett - 3-4mil
Adel Taarabt - 3-4mil
Scott Sinclair - 4-6mil
Tom Huddlestone - 5-6mil
Darren Bent - 5-6mil
Obviously we don't need all of them but any of these would be good business.

What a lucky person Gareth Bales agent is.
I wonder how much influence this person is having, how much they are going to make from any deal made?
I just hope the decision is made solely by him and for the right reasons.
However, 85 million may take the decision away from him if Mr Levy folds.
A statement from Gareth confirming his intention of staying and his ambitions to bring THFC to the championship party would go a little way to bringing a end to this boring episode.

Norwich are targetting Matej Vydra as their third striker to partner Hooper and Rip Van Wolfswinkle. Judging by the way Norwich have gone about their summer transfer business (And I must say I have been very impressed with them targetting their man and going and getting him) they are looking to conclude a deal with Vydra before the start of the new season. Meanwhile, West ham who have been linked with every striker known to man are in talks with Kalou, however, Kalou is likely to reject the hammers as he has now settled in France. Eminike has been valued out of the reach of West Ham and with Vydra likely to join Norwich or WBA this leaves West ham short on options

It seems that Matej Vydra is now a target for Southampton, Norwich and Fulham after West Ham have targetted other strikers in Kalou (fee agreed although player is now settled in France) and Eminike (Valued at approx 20m euro's so not sure where the funds are coming from).

Celtic will sign dirk Kuyt from fener, only if they make group stages. Quite old but still thought he was great at Liverpool and fener be happy if he signed he'd bring a lot to the team.

Wasn't Arsene Wenger supposed to be some kind of genius at attracting world class or potentially world class players to Arsenal? It's interesting to see how many of his more recent purchases Arsenal fans are keen to see the back of right now. Gervinho, Bendtner and Chamakh were nowhere near Arsenal standard, and even the likes of Walcott is seen as expendable for some fans if he could be included in the Suarez deal. I reckon Arsene could be in the running for the Francis Jeffers Trophy for the Most Useless Manager In A Transfer Window.

I know we need to stop selling our best players but if the only way we can get transfer money if from selling our players then I think that we should sell byram. If we can get 5m+ for him then that could really sort our squad out and get us some decent players.
