Southampton, along with Brighton, are already starting to slide. It may not look like it as they're still right up there, but look at their recent form... both teams have returned 7pts from the last 15 available, Brighton have only won once in 4 games and Southampton have won once in their last three. Oddly enough, Southampton have lost their games to good sides (Cardiff and Leicester) it seems they can beat the cannon fodder but put a good side in front of them and they lose - they've had an easy start, but there are an awful lot of good sides lining up to shoot them down. Won't be long before they take their rightful place in mid table, and then all these gobby fans will slip quietly into the night and won't be heard from again... can't wait...............................................................

Saints have got 10 points from a possible 15 you mug. Arithmetic is clearly not you strong point, so i would advise you to ask your teacher if you can have so extra Maths tuition. Easy Start, Leeds, Millwall, Birmingham, Burnley, Notts Forest all teams tipped to be up the top this season...Wake up you Fishy person
.............................................
Have you not seen the league? Millwall r on bad form and so r birmingham and notts forest. Leeds have only weekend this season and you got outplayed by Burnley! So shut 'up you fishy person'

Bad form or not look at their squads their all good teams, your just jealous that were over achieving our expectations, your probably a fan of the underperformers the ones you just mentioned.

No I'm a Middlesbrough fan and i'll bet you 50quid your bubble burst soon... You can't buy yourself everything. Be happy with mid table finish

I don't agree, i'm a Leicester fan and whilst i thought £6m was over-priced, i'd have loved to have landed Maynard. He's not doing very well because he's in a poor team but Leicester are well above the curve in terms of chances created and i think he'd have done well for us. We ended up with Beckford and, just like all of our other signings, he's taking a while to settle in (he's also injured atm) but once he finds his feet his quality will show through, see Matt Mills as a prime example. I'm hopeful that the Maynard thing isn't entirely over, we'll see what gives in January but never say never.

...of course we'll need to fight off all of those Premier league teams the BC fans told us would sign Maynard, unless he signs a new deal for BC of course, maybe he likes it in Div One? pfft!

frank lampard- the greatest goal hanger since gary lineker , ive never known a more selfish,talentless footballer to have achieved so much,the man is proof that you dont need talent to succeed,its a 5 yard pass to the side and a run to the goal to grab the glory while the others do the hard work,and thats why he is no good for england cos he has to work and cant just goal hang. {Ed002's Note - But still has more than 20 England goals to his name.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Goal Hanger? Utter genius, are you six?

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously some young child who probs lives somewhere on the south coast and supports Man Utd!! Lampard has scored 20 plus goals each of the last 7 seasons from midfield, to me that makes him class and if he wants to finish his career at Newcastle United then i will drive to London and pick him up. Well dome Lamps, shove it up every critic!

Agree0 Disagree0

I live on the south coast Lampard record speaks for tis self, this is probs just a very jelous rival fan who's team is doing S**t, well Lamps.

Agree1 Disagree0

Other great players put a pass through for someone else to score,Lampard will always take the shot instead or make a short pass to get it back so he can have the shot himself,watch him play,short sideways passes,and he is always the further forward than the main striker,greedy and selfish. {Ed003's Note -I would say his goal scoring record for a midfielder over his career speaks for itself }

Agree0 Disagree0

My team is top of the league ,unlike yours ;)

Blackburn fans, Gus would only join a big club, this rules you out. These days you're a smaller clun than Brighton and will be even smaller when the inevitable relegation from the Premier relegation occurs.

If Southend fail to secure promotion at the end of this season they''ll struggle to hold onto the following:

Ryan Hall
Anthony Grant
Sean Clohessy

Another likely to leave is the unsettled Bilel Mohsni.

Grant and Mohsni will be out of contract in may and will turn down new contract offers.

Hall and Clohessy will have a year a piece on their deals but if Blues remain in League 2 they will cash in as their value will decrease from next summer. They have both recently signed extensions but won't do so at the Club again.

Plymouth still interested in Graham Coughlan. but he should stay at blues.

Haha, if it takes us losing to Man U at Old Trafford in the Prem after playing extremely well and scaring the sh!t out of them and you beating Brighton at home in the chumpionship to feel good then i do feel sorry for you. Come back when you are in the big league and impressing on a weekly basis!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would be helpfull if we knew who this childish rant was aimed at.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your not impressing anybody apart from your sister the fact of the matter is you lost its no good playing well and losing is it now you lost to west brom at home ok you beat sunderland but they was poor the point is no one thinks you will win at the big clubs but losing at home to the lower clubs spells danger so chew on that and come back when you can

Yep Still top...Brushed Watford aside but i suppose you will say they are crap, but we can only beat who is put in front of us...We all know that you cannot win the league in Sept/oct as you keep pointing out time and time again you parrot.....Leicester should be romping the league with all the money they have spent, as a Saints season ticket holder i have not heard anyone say we will win the league, we are just enjoying ourselves at the moment, realistically we would settle for a top half finish..... we are top and enjoying it so go take a reality check and look where team are placed and
PS you beat a very poor Derby side yesterday.
STID

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A model example of how to blow the role of Mr. Rational by turning round and showing you have the arse cut out of your trousers and chicken feathers up your butt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yet another flawed arguement from a Soton fan desperate for both love and attention... Yes you brushed Watford aside, yes i do think Watford are a poor side and yes you can only beat what is put in front of you - except that isn't the case is it? Because as i have pointed out (Parrot fashion apparently) time and time again, you have LOST to the two best teams you have played.

Take on, and beat, the best teams in the league and i might change my opinion of you, but while you continue to beat the poor sides, and lose to the good sides, i'll still consider you to have had an easy start. Don't worry though, as a consequence of playing the rubbish clubs early, you'll have a nice long list of good clubs just waiting to knock you off, should prove interesting if nothing else.

As for Leicester 'should be' - why? Is the season over already? We're unbeaten in the league in 7 games and have just given the No3 side a good hiding. We've beaten Southampton and Brighton when they were top, and held 'Boro and Cardiff to draws (on the road) - i think we're doing ok personally.

Hope you enjoy the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Enjoy it? How can they enjoy it when the mere technicalities of league structures will prevent Soton from getting to the last 16 of the Chamions League where they would fit right in? I've also heard a rumour that they are going to enter the World Cup too.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Southampton entered the World Cup they'd win it hands down. Southampton FC, more awesome than Chuck Norris, FACT.
