To say I am dissapointed that Martinez is going is an understatment. i'm dissapointed that he has not got the bottle to try and correct the situation though, not that he is actually leaving. He says he feels unequipped to bring us back to the Premier League from the footballing cauldron of the Championship.

Inevitably, my fellow believers, we will loose some players over the coming months, in fact the likes of Alcaraz, DI Santo etc are already on the phones to their agents. I think McCarthy was always leaving this season regardless of what happened. That said I expect us to keep the core of the squad. Even if we loose the likes of Maloney, McManaman and Kone, we still have some quality players. Players who should not be in the situation we find ourselves in.

I can see what a real tough task it would be, for our beloved Roberto, to bring a core of players, capable of winning one of the worlds best domestic cups, up from a division including the likes of Barnsley and Huddersfield (No offence intended).

I know I may get some flak for this, but heres the deal. He ain't all that. In nearly 4 years he couldn't coach a group of players to play, when they hadnt got the ball. With it, I agree, we were nice to watch, but our constant inability to get close to players was infurating to me. Irrespective of who we played in the backline (Alcaraz apart), they seemed incapable of holding the line and being able to make a decision to sometimes hit row Z and re-set.

We have conceeded too many goals to compete at the level we were at. It was inevitable that we would go down under him. You conceed two goals a game, over three seasons and statistics will show you that you are in trouble.

In the five seasons before he joined, both Jewell and Bruce had sides that could play, however we were able to close the gap on what we lacked in quality with hard graft. Epitomised by the likes of Bullard, McCulloch Palacios, Cattermole etc. A skill Martinez never learned. If Martinez is the next messiah, should we not have been able to establish ourselves in the mid table pocket of clubs with the likes of Fulham, West Brom etc.

So, thanks for the memories Mr Martinez, The FA Cup was a day I will never forget. I look forward to travelling away in the Europa League (Hope we don't get someone in Russia). Undeniably you will go down in our history books, but it will also show you coached a side who conceeded over 200 goals, and took nearly 2 years to win back to back games. Not to mention the 9-1 defeat at Spurs and the 8-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge I attended.

I am not bitter, just dissapointed that you are able to say you are unequipped to deal with a specific problem, a problem that you have helped cause, and get away with it. I never sang your name, I didn't feel you deserved it. I for one am not dissapointed to see you go. {Ed003's Note - great post mate}

It looks like Mark Hughes is going to be next Stoke manager and I do not know whether or not he is going to be good or not. I think he might bring some good players with him like Hoilett, Taraabt, Ji Sung, Granero, Nelsen. All good players. I hope he doesn't ruin Stoke by overspending and putting us in debt.

Millwall have sold chris Taylor
And are meant to be signing Jermaine Easter.

They must be stupid selling one of our best players and then buying a league 1 striker. We need to buy better players that will do well in the championship and not sell our best players to other teams in the championship.

Ronaldo is to be the centre of attention this summer following Florentino Perez's interview:
"I do not know if he has an offer from PSG, " Perez said. "He told me last summer that he was sad and I told him that we would do everything possible for him to be happy. "

He is looking for success in a team ready built for success. Real Madrid won't be able to continue spending the way they have been and with Neymar choosing Barcelona over Madrid, it shows signs of weaknesses in the capital. Ronaldo will now seek a move back to Old Trafford or PSG where he can win titles successively.

Behind the scenes David Moyes interview:

He was asked who he's admired the most this season to whom he replies:
"Bale. By a long way. I mean who wouldn't want him in their team. At 23 he has so much more to give. "

Asked about whether he wants to sign him:
"Oh god yes. After his performance for spurs though and his contract he will cost a fair few wouldn't he! I don't know, it's all about the board and seeing what is viable for the team to bring in. "

On Rooney: "We spoke with Sir Alex last week and discussed what options we have and we concluded that for his future it is best for him to stay. He has a place in this squad and we will utilise him this coming season. I'd love to work with him now he has developed into sucha fantastic player. "

This interview will be broadcasted nationally in the next week via online media. Stay tuned.

Sources keep connecting Wigan players with a host of other Premiership clubs and this has drawn a number of derogatory comments from Latics fans about these other clubs & questions like " why would they want to leave Wigan play for them?" Well, when these players are plying their trade in front of a meagre 8-12,000 next year maybe they had wished they had left!
