Done Deal: Jimmy Bullard joins MK Dons. People may go on about him being injury prone but so was Chadwick until he joined the Dons, could be a useful signing.

.....or maybe not!

Just about shows how poor our team is, especially the strike force when Chadwick with around 5 goals since he returned come off to be replaced by Lecointe with 2 career goals to partner Sims up front who's never scored, and with the back up on the bench of Feeney with 2 goals last season! I'm not for one minute blaming the youngsters as it isn't there fault but they shouldn't be anywhere near the first team yet! We need proven successful football league players and we need 2 or 3 of them and fast! 1 centre/right back, 1 midfielder, and a goal scoring striker! I don't mean to be harsh but we need to stop playing the young players and get some decent average aged players in to make sure we stay in this division, and Fletch was talking about promotion this season! I try to get up to Argyles home games from mid Cornwall at every possible home game but this season with the same inexperienced and inevitable starting line up every week I am really struggling to motivate myself to make the effort and expense! I am a true Argyle fan but the football and the players we are playing at the minute aren't good enough for the league and everyone but the management can see that! TomP

Believable2 Unbelievable2

The season has hardly started and the whingers are all about! Brent isnt going to throw money about quite rightly given what we have been through. The main aim is to stabilise the club. On the footballing side, yes, we do need a proven goal scorer and have for some time. Griff has been injured so we havnt seen what he can do. I dont believe that Fletcher has finished in his transfer dealings yet, plus the second half performance on saturday, and by all accounts last nights efforts hold some promise, so give it a chance. We need people in the ground to enable this club to build and the fickle whingers do more harm than good so shut up and if you are a true supporter support the team and give the at least 10 games! Remember Warnocks wembley winners? Bryher Pilgrim.

Burnley are struggling to sign a striker before the end of the TW

There top target is Stephen Dobbie who would only cost 450,000 but is on 12,000 a week and he wont drop his wage so its unlikely he will sign

Also they want Pittman who is on a lower wage(about 6,000) but would cost 800K-1M and is over Burnleys budget

the third target is Bournemouth striker Matt Tubbs who Howe knows and would be low wage and only cost about 500,000 but is unproven at Championship level

Some news coming out of Oakwell as Keith Hill looks to bolster his squad.
Former ADO Den Haag and Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde has turned down a one month rolling contract with the Reds after League 1 side Leyton Orient came in with a two year deal.
Matty Done is set to leave South Yorkshire after a rival Championship club came in with an acceptable undisclosed offer. Derby had a bid accepted late Friday night and are keen to offer the winger a three year contract.
Two players are very close to signing for Barnsley though.
Norwich defender Ryan Bennett is close to agreeing a season long loan deal with the club after the 22 year old was told by manager Chris Hughton that he has a bright future at the club, but will not be featuring much this campaign.
Secondly, young Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe will sign on loan until January.

Here we go with another West Ham mess up.
They spend close to £11m on Jarvis and the
players they were interested in ie
Bakary Sako and Razak Boukari are now
joining Wolves for a Total of £6m.
Boukari and Sako pretty damned good
and Sako has a shot like a cannon!
Why then did West ham not go for
the other option to bring in two players,
one which can double up as striker,
save themselves £5m which they could then have used for Chris Solly and Sagbo (two
players hammers desperatley need)

Time for Sam to go am afraid because his tactics
are not up to scratch for premier league

Derek Mcinnes has said this morning that he is not under any pressure to sell any of his players and that he is actually trying to get two more in. And i think after the signings of baldock and davies, its become quite obvious that despite many peoples opinions, that we as a club are not skint and have gone from relegation favorites to surprise promotion candidates. Can I just say that a lot has been said about the poor West Ham performance at the weekedn and how its only one game. Can I just say after watching it as a hammer fan that we were an absolute shambles.
The defence was all over the place, RB & LB quite clearly are areas we have to improve because
McCartney is quite clearly not cut out
for this level and quickly needs to be replaced (another wasteful purchase I'm afraid to say)
The tactics of playing Tomkins in midfield and nolan out wide was madness when we had
Vaz Te on the bench. And Carlton
Cole up front was perhaps the biggest mistake of all because he simply is not good enough to play at this level.

The Hammers need a shake up and quick otherwise I can see BFS on his bike

Keith Hill is the man for Barnsley. We WILL go down this year, but not because we are worse, but because the Championship is getting better. We simply cannot compete financially when we have 8-9000 home attendances. Not only from a ticket sales point of view, but if a player has a choice of playing in front of 8000 at Oakwell, or 38000 at Hillsborough, which will he choose??! Not too hard a choice is it! On a positive note, we will be top of League One! Because that is the side that Hill is building! He has no choice, my only issue is the injuries, it clearly IS something the club has got wrong, because we had exactly the same problem last season after Christmas! Oddly enough at a time when we didn't have a chance of winning a game?!?!
