Reading will sign
- karleigh osborne
- jason roberts
- tomasz cywka
by the end of the transfer window.
Those thinking reading will spend big money this window are wrong, we have only been given limited funds for the January window as the takeover will not be completed by march and McDermott doesn't want to change the team massively when playoffs are still a strong possibility

West Ham have had a £2m bid rejected by Bristol City for Midfielder Cole Skuse. Bristol City say he is "not for sale" at any cost.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Firstly, Is this the same Brizzle board that turned down £6mil from Leicester for Maynard and then a few months later are desperate to offload the overweight and under performing striker for a fraction of what they could have had??........secondly, someone, somewhere, (crazy Brizzle board or a Fifa 2012 obsessed rumour monger?) thinks that Cole Skuse is UNDERVALUED at £2mil!!!!!..........for goodness sake, get real!

Agree0 Disagree0

If Brizzle can't get what they think they ought to for Maynard and Skuse why dont they try them on Ebay?....they've tried every other kind of auction!

Guarantee if the club accepted an offer Hall wouldn't turn it down, 100%. Southend are tiny and all i'm saying is that if a bid was accepted he'd be gone, it's not as simple as he's not for sale, he's staying, it never is for clubs like you. Didn't 'deserve' a rude response for a measured post.

My mate Nick Arnold is a member of the Reading reserves and he told me that Reading have been planning swoops for a few players in order to score more. Jason Puncheon is to be approached soon in a cash plus player deal. Ryan Bertrand is another player who will be offered a loan deal until the end of the season, with the option to buy at £2.5mil. Gylfi Sigurdsson is keen on a return back to his former club, but as he is on loan at Swansea a bidding war between Swansea and Reading will commence. Reading should have the advantage in funds but Brendan Rodgers has been impressed with his creativity and therefore funds could be made available to secure him from Hoffenheim

What a load of Tosh Gylfi Sigurdsson is enjoying enjoying the Prem and Swans have secured decision to buy end of season, no dis respect why would he drop a division, should swans not buy there would be a raft of prem clubs interested , he is class act, if he stays fit and continues to perform Swans will buy....

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So Reading discuss proposed transfer with reserve players do they?

I am a Saints fan and I don't believe we will make any more permanent signings in January. I think the Puncheon announcement reflects the fact that we need more depth in the squad and are unlikely to sign anyone, other than possibly a loan. It's a risk but if we can keep the majority of our best players fit in the second half of he season, we will go up. WHU and Saints have proved thy have the best full-strength sides in the division. But Monday night proved that a bad run of injuries will leave us struggling for a play-off place. Most real Saints fans would have settled for that at the start of the season!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I completely agree at full strength were better than Cardiff and we tend to add one or two players each window, sure there will be a few signings if we go up thiugj

Solomon Taiwo loan deal is done and dusted. Dean Cox has apparently signed a new 18 month contract (he deleted a post from Twitter earlier saying so). Slade is in the market for another defender to replace Charlie Daniels and a centre forward to aid his misfiring strikeforce. Colin Daniel of Macclesfield and Izale McLeod of Barnet are two of the names I've heard are being tracked. (I live next door to someone who works for the club).

Aston Villa to invest in playing staff before the window closes. Players that are being targeted are Lewis Dunk of Brighton who will be the subject of a £5.75m bid early next week. The young prospect Marvin Sordell who plays for Watford will join in a deal which will gain Watford upto £7m after add-ons along with a loan deal for Villa's Adreas Weimman for the rest of the season. Another target is Axel Witsel who has long been linked to Villa will complete a productive transfer window for the club.

Andrew Andronikou is quietly confident that a genuine new owner will be in place at Fratton Park by the end of next week. He is frustrated at the time wasted by the previous suitor. Two other serious bidders are now in discussion, who both have huge resources and sport management experience. As previously reported the plan is to redevelop Fratton Park and surround and relocate to the edge of the city. This will ensure ease of access to larger numbers of away support inn the future. The plan will include enabling Porstmouth to compete with their near neighbours on a level footing financially.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I also hear that a new owner is on the cards and that fratton park will finally be torn down, all because the new prospective owner lives in millbrook.....

Hey guys good page but not great for 1 reason. Sick of all the fans getting on and flooding the wall with stuff about Bristol and hull and dons and west ham. Therefore I now find myself using your site less and less. Just a suggestion but you guys might wanna split the forums into divisions because most people only wanna hear about what's going on at the top end. I don't want to read about delusional championship fans thinking that they are signing world class players, 99.9% of the stuff posted about the championship is just rubbish and I'm just not gonna bother reading anymore until there is some separate forum for the pl. I'm not the only one who thinks so either guys you can ask around and you'll quickly realize that my opinions aren't unfounded. Around 30 of my friends used this site in the past but no longer do because of what I just said. Like I said just a suggestion and no fault to you guys by all means. {Ed013's Note - A lot of teams have their own pages, the one's that don't are entitled to their opinion on the football site. I will pass your point on to see if there is anyway of separating the leagues and please don't feel you cant come on here, don't let the others bother you. Feel free to voice your own opinion}

Sorry to disappoint you, but you don't have the financial muscle to sign any of our players whilst they are under contract. Its alright, just wait till Snodgrass' runs out and then... oh wait, you'll be back in League 1 by then.

Oldham are looking at having a busy transfer deadline day. all is riding on the crunch game against Chesterfield with Oldham losing that will see the end of Furman and Taylor who will be looked to be moved on. If oldham getting victory Kieran Lee Dean Furman Zander Diamond Reuben Reid and Fillipe Morais will alll get new contratcs. On deadline day Oldham will eventually secure a deal for Robbie Simpson plus Tom Adeyemi for contracts till the end of the season with a view to extension. This all relies on the Chesterfield result.

Southampton lost their way of late and will be tough for them with few stand out players to maintain challenge for top 2.

We've lost our way recently due to bad injury problems and the majority of players will be back for saturday

To all you non Saints supporter out there just to let you know some important information.
The true Saints supporters know, that this site is not just here as the Saints Football Rumour site.
But unfortunately there are other supporters out there from other teams who do like to stir things up.
Unfortunately we have no control over those, so you will have to bare with us on that.
But one thing is for sure, if it's on here, there is a very high chance that it's crap information.
Southampton do most of there dealing behind closed doors and 95% of the time you will only find out about it, once the deal is nearly completed.

I was at a birthday party last night and got cornered by one of my cousins who works for a very posh letting agency in Liverpool. He wanted to borrow our stars and stripes flag. (we had it up on independace day at the shop) He said it's a special request for a firm who want to welcome a new employee to their new home. He also asked where I got it from as he wanted a Texan flag too. Did a little googling, guess where C.D. is from :)

David Ginola on the way to being offered the position of Director of Football at Coventry. Apparently Brody, a shareholder and former director knows him personally and has been able to bring him on board.

Hopefully he will bring his boots! He must still be better than David Bell

People who know absolutely **** all about QPR shouldn't bother commenting on posts saying we have no money and play in a cow shed .... You've just heard that from your mates you speak to once a week in the pub about football Make yourself useful and comment on your own team. Although you probably couldn't say too much as I doubt you even watch your own team.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I agree ! qpr isnt a cow shed, but the local farmer does have missing cows ,last spotted at loftus road .
oh and a message to all fans for the chelsea match please bring buckets and make kind donations , but the club aint skint!

Arshavin is interesting Stoke ..before anyone spouts that Wenger won't do business with Pulis then you're talking through your Arsene. Possible loan with a view to permanent deal depending on Arsenal bringing a player in.

Disagree when you know the facts as the clubs have had lengthy discussions.

My Arsene has turned yellow, should i see a Doctor?

The Wigan Athletic scouts at the Lamex Stadium this evening, running the rule over Michael Bostwick will have been impressed. Expect a bid before the window shuts. Representives from Millwall looking at (Scott Laird), Reading (Lawrie Wilson) Charlton (Joel Byrom) and an unknown Italian Club (Ben May) were also there,

Heard today from source who works at SAFC, that they are still working on Petrov deal from Villa. All boils down to whether Gardner stays or goes. MON will look to bring Petrov in, if Gardner DOES leave, for round about same fee - £3.5m mark. As well as B'ham interested and preparing a bid to buy, Villa are also considering a straight swap, barring add ons, as SAFC would be looking to recoup some of loss from £5m deal in summer.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Gardner 3.5m stop talking rubbish, we would want at least 6m for him and yeah lets sell a lad who is 25 who scores goals for fun from distance for a over 30 year old who is average at best

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt this very much as MON likes to build young squads. His track record tells that.

Jamille Matt?

The second time I've heard his name linked to Crawley but you would need to drop a zero.

Completly unfounded but Dave Norris at Portsmouth has played under Evans before and Crawley need a midfielder ???
