Martin O'Neill to be sacked as Sunderland boss on Monday morning. Possible replacement is Roberto Di Matteo who will be given a 40 million transfer budget by Short in January. This is Short's last attempt to try and build a successful team at the Stadium of Light and will look to sell the club if this latest appointment does not work out.
If Sunderland got given £40 million to spend this would be a team challenging for Europe.
