I have it on good authority that Bassini agreed to sell Watford today to a Malaysian consortium. This will not be officially announced for a couple of weeks.
If he was selling why would he wait to announce it, as he does not have to get the deal ratified by the Board?
My guess is it isn't Bassini's decision, its the future owners.

Reading have confirmed they did receive a request to speak to Brian McDermott, but they chose not to reply to it.
Jez Moxey is starting to look very silly, as are WWFC (no disrespect to their fan).
It's always a dangerous game sounding out your targets; but to be ignored and then see a target in a lower division prefer to sign a new deal with his current club leaves a lot of egg on Wolves faces.
Curbishley knocking them back as well just adds further salt into the wounds. Wolves aren't the big fish they like to promote.
While they insist on an initial 6 month contract they will only attract the desperate. The board are basically saying they will need a different manager in a different division and that's not what a manager wants to hear.
And lets face it, it's not exactly a plum job: they will be in the championship in 3 months time with a lot of crud to clean out.
