Eddie Howe has been given a £10 million player budget. AFC Bournemouth's billionaire owner Maximillian Demin has demanded Premiership football.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well if he wants prem football. then he has to move on.

maximus

Agree0 Disagree0

Now, now! We must all remember that the Super Galactico Cherries are a global footballing superpower and will bulldoze the Championship next season before winning the Premier League in their debut season, then blitzing the Champion's League at the first attempt to secure the ultimate club trophy.

£10m? I think he means £100m.

We forgive your oversight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Three words. Financial Fair Play.

Will Grigg and Fabian Brandy are currently on holiday and are set to sign new 1 yr deals with Walsall, there has been interest by championship sides however both players feel they owe Dean Smith as he had faith in them where other clubs did not last season.

Walsall are no longer inerested in Northampton striker Adebayo Akinfenwa and are looking at young Burton Albion keeper Dean James Lyness

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good decision Walsall. Who wants a striker with the mobility and physique of a blue whale?

Southampton looking at Charlie Austin from Burnley. 28 goals in 40 games. He's the right sort of player for the Saints

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well if he's arrogant and deluded he's a perfect fit for Saints.

Brentford owner Matthew Benham is already, meeting with Harlee Dean, Clayton Donaldson and Harry Forrester over their futures with the club. He has said he is willing to pay extra to keep them but not ridiculous amounts of money and will consider any offers made. If Harry Forrester leaves, Alan Judge and Jacques Maghoma from Burton Albion are likely replacements.

The club have confirmed the release of Simeon Jackon, Lee Camp, Elliot Ward, Marc Tierney, Tom Adeyemi, Korey Smith, George Francomb and of course Chris Martin who we know is now a Derby County player. All of whom were out of contract.

Along with under-21 development players Ramil Sheriff and Scott Olumide Durojaiye.

This now free's up 8 spaces which would indicate new arrivals pretty soon. Certainly a new LB cover and potentially 1 more CB for cover.

You would also expect 1-2 more Strikers to be brought in seeing as we are light in that department anyway so with Martin and Jackson going it leaves us with only Vaughn and Becchio as cover with holt and RVW and tbh Vaughn is probably Huddersfield bound.

And you would have to see he is freeing up space in midfield for more strengthening.

I personally would like to place on record my thanks to the players above because they have all provided a great service to the club in one way or another its a shame to say goodbye especially to cinnamon but we have to be honest those being released is no surprise as they aren't quite at prem level.

Southampton have long been a club with a vision. Plans have been on going for a while now to expand the stadium and this is going to happen. Premiership survival has meant our future for the next year is secure and investment should hopefully strengthen that future. Cortese will not spend unless the right players are willing to come to the club. Also expect one of our stars to go to pay for a few youngsters. Poch will blaring in older experienced players and a few talented youngsters. Most of this is already in place you just don't know it yet.

Doncaster Rovers have confirmed the appointment of Paul Dickov as the new manager at the club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 May 2013 17:18:20
Paul Dickov is the new manager at Donny. As a Doncaster fan myself I couldn't be more disappointed, no championship experience, nearly sent Oldham down in League one and to make it worse ex Leeds too! Yet again we've gone for the cheap option, even though apparently the 3 board members have a decent amount of money; and there was me thinking we were going to make a statement by getting an experienced, slightly more expensive manager to keep us in this division. Wouldn't be surprised if it's league one again next season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Couldn, t agree more from a Barnsley fan already looking at ex Oldham players who weren, t up for it in league 1 so be no better in Championship Good Look probably going to need it

Although all the chatter is about Andy Carroll, I have to admit that I would love to see Gary Hooper at Upton park. Ok, so he doesn;t offer the same aerial threat but the guy knows where the goal is. If West ham could get him and then get Lukaku on loan for next season that would be shrewd business and what an attack. And if they can get option to buy Lukaku permanently would be even better

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lukaku permanent at West Ham? not a hope in hell

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of Lukaku at West Ham. He needs European football and even suggesting there might be a 'future fee' is ridiculous.

If Nahki Wells leaves Bradford it will be to a championship club. Wells has stated that he wants to play at the highest level and Bradford will listen to offers but he has a £1m release clause. Bournemouth, Huddersfield and Burnley are all sniffing around the Bermudan international.

Palace want him to replace Zaha.

How about becoming Southampton FC's championship feeder club? Like GJ said Yeovil's future in the Championship is all about getting Wayne Rooney before he is Wayne Rooney and the Soton have the best academy in England maybe even (excluding Barca) probably the best in academy Europe at the moment. And GJ did tip them off about Marians Pahars when Latvia manager.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are Yeovil and Southampton about to engage in some sort of footballing 69?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope yeovil fans don't get the soton syndrome of thinking they are a big club
