Quick question for editor and Liverpool fans would like to get opinions on this in my opinion either Aquilani or Meireles will be leaving the club which one would you like to see stay and which would you like to see go. Aquilani is having a terrific pre season while Meireles has a knock on his ankle and has missed a game or two but last year Meireles first year in England he scored some fantastic and crucial goals the winner against Chelsea{Nandos first game} was my favorite along with picking up the PFA fans player of the year and surely he would improve in his second season. Aquilani is now injury free he is starting to show signs of his early promise when he was likened to Francesco Totti and convinced Rafa he was the playmaker who could replace Xabi Alonso. Meireles is slightly older would command a slightly higher fee and would probably be easier to shift I really don't think we needed Adam and Henderson as now we need to offload either of the two mentioned too raise money for a left back which should have been first priority along with left wing {Downing will prove a great signing even with his hefty price tag}. I genuinely can't decide and I really don't think we need both of them as we will have Gerrard, Lucas, Adam, Spearing, Henderson and Shelvey to play centre midfield so who is it LFC Fans Aquilani or Meireles pls comment. {Ed001's Note - personally I don't think either are physically up to the English leagues, both fade after an hour and shy away from challenges. I would sell both and use the money on other areas that are more desperately in need of strengthening, such as defence.}

Good luck in europe liverpool.....oops i forgot. Don't worry though you can get the old betamax players out and watch your glory days over again

Bournemouth are desperate to pay
Charlton Athletic a big fee for star
right back Simon Francis."It's the only way we can be sure of signing someone with the
qualities we know he possesses" said
a cherries source.

----------------------------------
Bournemouth agreed a fee with Charlton and the only reason he didnt join as that he would rather have extreme amounts of money than football, and Bournemouth have two very godd RB trialists at the moment so no longer need Francis

neymar is joining real madrid , his record for santos is 64 games 27 goals, nothing great yet and probably the price tag is due to what he may become , rather than what he is right now.

The reason both Saints and Billy Sharp pulled out of his transfer from Doncaster to Saints was a dispute over wages because he wanted £30,000 a week to move down South and there was no way Saints were gonna pay him £10,000 a week more than their highest earner when he's not worth that.
Are you sure coz billy aint after money or he would av gone to burnley he turned you down coz he dosnt want to move right now

To all deluded man city fans, Aguero will only sign for city if chelsea pull out of the race

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Aguero actually would prefer a move to real madrid and city will only get him if either madrid dont want him or city manage to get rid of tevez, as for chelsea signing him? possible , but unlikely, way too much money and chelsea need to get rid of some big earners to make space on the wage bill, you forget the new rules.

Agree1 Disagree0

Check chelseas news, nothing of aguero, check real madrids news, nothing of aguero... hmmm, oh check man citys and, man city have agreed a bid, on BBC man city have started talks with aguero... to deluded people who think they have a clue, try some research :)

In regards to Bristol City Striker Nicky Maynard he will not be leaving Bristol City F.C a deal with the club and Nicky's Agent will be sorted out a week Friday and all will be revealed on Bristol City's official web site on Friday 29th of july 2011. Liverpool & Everton are just two prem clubs monitoring Maynard and it is belived that aslong as Nicky Maynard doesnt get injured or gets a repeat injury to his knee & continues to score between now and January then a bidding war will commence for the signature of the striker who has said himself he doesnt want to go to any other championship club and will stay with Bristol City to help them this season to try and get promoted or by that time if the right prem club comes knocking then he will be gone.

The FA have confirmed a dead-heat in the race to see which fans are the easiest to wind up.

Bristol City lead the way early doors and can still be relied upon to react like gibbering girls if anyone so much as mentions Nicky "he's staying here so hands off yer basts" Maynard.

Leeds are coming up on the outside nicely and are set to last the pace this time, until last seasons Championship which saw them choke in epic style. Mention them being skint, or crap, and they'll bore you to death with tales of the 70's

Forest are our current leaders (that's a first eh fellas) they're carp, skint, and are busily signing old players hand over fist. They think everyone of their current squad is worth in excess of £10m and whilst they've not been in the top flight in ? years, it won't stop them whining on and on about the European Cup.

Ok... line cast, bait set... GO

Arsenal are still keen on signing Juan Mata and are very close to a deal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain but where does all this leave Theo Walcott Arsenal have already signed two winger in the form of Gervinho and a little Asian fella nicknamed Ryodinho{for his skills after the Brazilian} who is supposedly faster than Walcott. Arsene may be thinking of moving him on if he can get between£15-20m for the youngster who too often flatters to deceive great pace yes but his final ball is more likely to end up in the stands than with another player Chelsea and Liverpool have been credited with an interest, I can't see anything happening in this window but with Wenger blending in all these players maybe he will move on and I won't be too upset Gervinho and Mata either side of Van the man is a hell of a lot better than Walcott and Ashavin.

Alex Oxlade chamberlain will not leave Southampton. This is why. Saints chairman cortese wants £12m up front with a minimum 25% sell on clause which no club is willing to pay this is because he hasn't been proven at championship level i.e. Wickham. Arsenal won't sign him because arsene knows he is on a tight line with the fans. Chelsea is where he would preferably go as he is a fan but they're simply not interested. Man u and Liverpool are the two most interested teams however liverpool do want to see what does in the championship.

Liverpool are closing in on a deal to bring 17-year old Marcos Beuno to Anfield. Beuno will be the fifth signing of the summer after Henderson, Adam, Downing and Doni. Liverpool have offloaded Konchesky and Mavinga while a third left back Emiliano Insua is closing in on a £3.3m move to Roma so Liverpool will need to strengthen in this area and rumors have been rife for many months about numerous players{Izaguirre, Kolarov, Coentrao, Cissokho, Baines, Clichy etc.} but Jose Enrique will be the man to fill the birth for a number of reasons 1. he wants out 2. he has less than a year to run on his contract so Newcastle will have to sell 3. he has premier league experience and 4. he will be relatively cheap compared with others probably around £5m. Clichy would have been a better buy but that ship has sailed and while Enrique isn't going to set the world alight he is a hell of a lot better than the options we have at the moment. Fiorentina have opened talks with Liverpool over a £10m move for alberto Aquilani.Liverpool will try to offload some deadwood while landing a target by offering Sotirios Krygiakos, Christian Poulsen and £10m for Uruguay centre half Diego Godin. Milan Jovanovic is close to completing a free transfer to Anderlecht while Nabil El Zhar and Philippe Degen have been told they are free to find new clubs. Liverpool are undecided about Joe Cole and he will likely stay at the club for the time being but a loan to Fulham is an option , the club will loan out a few youngster such as Pacheco, Coady, Wilson, Gulasci, Ince, Eccleston and Shelvey this will wrap up a pretty good summer for Liverpool fans no real blockbuster signings but good players who will vastly improve our team and squad.

Nottingham Forest were set to shock the world of Football today by unveiling none other than Stan Collymore (yes, it's true) the deal was called off at the 11th hour when McClaren realised that big Stan was too young to play for Forest.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Oh dear What a dreadful joke. I'm not a Forest fan but that is a dreadful attempt at "trying to be funny". We used that joke back in the 1970's when we were less mature. I take it you are an immature County fan obviously trying to be clever.

Barnsley will sign the following players after Keith Hill has been told he will be given £1.2 million to spend after a un-named investor invested into the South Yorkshire club:
-Danny Harrison will join from Rotherham after Hill was impressed of how he performed whilst he was managing Rochdale in League 2 a few years ago.
-Swiss under 21 international goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, will sign for around £600,000 from FC Basel in Switzerland.
-Mark Brincat, a young Mlata under 19 international will sign from Maltese club Mosta FC.
-Matt Lawrence will join from Gillingham after publicly coming out saying he would like to go back to the Championship after a four year spell with Crystal Palace from 2006 and 2010.
-Neil Mellor will join from Preston for around £400,000.
-His last signing will be experienced Norweigan Petter Furuseth Olsen from Hammarby in Sweden.

Keith Hill will also bring in Leon Vlemmings, who is set to leave Feyenord as assistant manager after a fall out with the board. Vlemmings is set to be named as second assistant and will be coaching the first team. Ken Oram, who is currently 'Head of Youth' at Bristol Rovers will also come in to help first team affairs, mainly assisting David Flitcroft and Vlemmings in coaching the first team, but Oram will also help run the reserves. Finally, Hill will appoint another goalkeeping coach in Steve Ogrizovic. The ex Barnsley goalkeeping coach is keen to move back to Barnsley after not agreeing with the new regime at Coventry. Keith Hill will also appoint an un-named fitness coach who has just got a degree in fitness from Manchester University.

Leicester City have been in touch with Liverpool over the services of Jack Robinson for a fee in the region of £1.5m.

Robinson has fallen down the pecking order due to the rise of Insua and the imminent arrival of Aly Cissokho.

-------------------------------------------------

Doubtful, as I thought Konchesky has just signed for Leicester.

Anyway, I'd hardly say Robinson has fallen down the pecking order. He's only played half a dozen games and in each of them he looked very good.

The lads got lots of potential and I think will turn out to be a good player. Liverpool are investing millions in the development of good, english talent. We're hardly gonna go shipping out the academy lads, good ones at the, as part of the same process.

Why is Michael Owen not wanting to join Celtic on
Loan?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you serious? Why would he sign a one year contract with Utd and then be loaned out for the year, Utd would have just released him if they didnt want him. You are seriously deluded.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said anything about being loaned out fir a year? I think you are the deluded one pal. They are interested in a 2 month loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Again you muppet, why loan out a player even for two months, when he only has a one year contract, either they want him or they dont They offered him a one year deal as they want him at the club for a year, so have a day off you muppet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah you muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

Calm down children, deep breaths and chill. It's just a rumour. Like many on this site its bound to be a hoax. No need to get Stressy wessey

Agree0 Disagree0

Read what the rumour said "why does he not want to join Celtic?" how I'm reading it dosen't say 'Celtic want to sign him on loan' or 'man united prepared to let him go on loan'. Owen may have just said 'i dont want to go on loan to celtic'. So in defence of the original question/comment, there is only ONE muppet here and that would be the person who replied to the comment calling he or she a deluded muppet.

Yeah you deluded muppet

100% true---Cody McDonald will sign on a season long loan at Leyton Orient on Friday afternoon, Norwich will either offer him a new 2 year deal round about March next year if they are looking likely to get Relegated or let him join the O's for about 60 grand if they stay up as he's out of contract in the summer at the end of this season--the boy just wants to know where he's playing his football in this up and coming season.
I've heard this from a mate of Culverhouse, and someone i know in Witham who knows his girlfriend.
If this doesn't happen i'll bare my farter in Ilford Bodgers window at 3pm on the day of Walsall away

______________________________
Get ready to drop those pants because there's no way that Cody Mac will leave for 60k after a loan spell. If he goes out on loan its because NCFC offer him a new deal first. Given that he's been left out of the pre-season training camp and both friendlies so far (even reserve team) then I'd say a new deal is highly unlikely. Norwich are holding out for £550k, but are unlikely to get it, so he will leave for 300-500k - to league 1 or championship.

When it comes to football, very few people know more than me. Not being arrogant or big headed, but I can confidently say Alx Chamberlain WILL BE A CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYER THIS SEASON. He WILL leave Southampton and WILL NOT join Premier league team. He has said he wants to stay on the south coast. He wont join Portsmouth, it can only be Brighton.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

"not being arrogant or big headed" ...oh but you are

Agree0 Disagree0

Or Reading... but he wont go to any other South Coast team. It's just a lot of jealous fans that Southampton might have a decent player who considers staying. In my opinion he will leave. and it will be to either Arsenal or Liverpool, more likely the first

Maynard has told the Bristol City board that he wants to leave, he has told certain close friends and family that they were unwilling to assure him of the clubs future and future signings. His supposed favourite destination is Leicester as he believes they will continue to grow and have the potential to become an Everton or Aston Villa. My source is directly involved with Nicky and knows his every move.

Dont talk rubbish pal, the board have stated numerous times about their ambition to reach the premier league. most of this talk on here is garbage tbh, if nicky maynard was so apparently unhappy then why has he not handed in a transer request? sven must want his head examined if he is willing to pay 6M+ for a striker who was crocked most of last season and does have a tendency to pick up injuries

How funny is this, Nicky Maynard wrote a letter to Leicester City complaining that they were hampering his pre-season and that he would like to focus on being a Brizzle player.

So my rumour is that he will stop with Bristol City. I would too, going to a club like Leicester could ruin his career. Look at other 'big investment' clubs and the players that played for them. Most notably, SWP.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Is there proof of this letter (there must be otherwise how do you know about it) - don't tell me, you're best mates with him, or your best mate is best mates with him, or you're his mum/dad/agent/cocker spaniel.

Swansea City and Nottingham Forest have had bids accepted for Newcastle United winger Wayne Routledge. It would seem Leicester City aren't interested following the signings of other players.

I am a Swans fan and don't want Routledge at the Liberty, he has the wrong attitude towards the game, I think he will probably end up at the City Ground as he has friends there such as Blackstock.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I too, feel he will go to Forest.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

0%. Citeh ought to let him leave and replace him with somebody who wants to play football and wont moan off the pitch all the time. Fact is, he's being paid for his behaviour.

Chelsea don't want, nor need him. He could give the team a lift one week and cause misery in the dressing room the next.

Kenny Daglish is very keen to offload a number of midfielders Jovanovic, Poulsen and El Zhar are definitely on their way while Joe Cole look's like he may be staying as no club have tabled an offer also either Raul Meireles or Alberto Aquilani will be sold for between £9-13m the other will stay and take up the number 4 shirt.Jose Enrique will join the club for around £5m as 3 left backs leave Konchesky-Leicster, Mavinga-Rennes and Insua to Roma the club will need to strengthen.Liverpool do need a new centre half but it is looking unlikely this window and Daglish has confidence Martin Kelly can fill in at centre half for the likes of Carragher, Skrtel and Agger while Krygiakos and Wilson can also provide back up.Daniel Sturridge who is valued upwards of £12m likely even as high as £14 or 15m is Daglish's prime target after Enrique but he has to sell to buy which may mean N'Gog may leave the club for £4 or 5m.Raul Meireles will likely make way to bring in some funds as no clubs are showing interest in Aquilani which I think is a bad move as I see him as a better player than Adam, Henderson, Cole and Aquilani and after a first season settling in to English football I feel he would only get better if he stayed at Anfield.
----------------------------------------
I'm a leicester fan and i must say liverpool are my premiership team but i cant understand why all liverpool fans seem to want rid of Raul Meireles (or has kenny daglish said he wants rid)? he was the only man ticking for liverpool last year until suarez

I'm not as inclined to jump down your throat for writing a rumour. If he kicks off at everyone who posts bull sh*t on here, he must be ripping through the keyboards I'm a Coventry fan and I am no enemy of Freddie, who is an undoubtedly talented footballer. When he has got his head up and playing his best, he was one of our best players (in a team that includes Marlon King, whatever you think about him). He just doesn't do it anywhere near consistently enough and has been pretty much a let down over-all. I don't blame fitness or even necessarily desire. It just hasn't worked for him at a single club since Southend and, if he does leave for Palace or anyone else, we won't be gutted. There is far more going wrong at our Club than the loss of an underachieving Eastwood.

Freddie has been linked with so many clubs, he is a good player but needs to be out + out centre fwd not played out on the wing.
