Q: What do you get if you see a Liverpool fan buried up to his neck in sand?

A: More sand.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sky have decided to sell their Liverpool games for the season. Comedy Central are in talks to buy the rights.

Agree0 Disagree0

Q: what do you get if you see a liverpool fan buried up to his neck in sand !

A : in blackpool enjoying themselves !

q ; where would you find a man utd fan!
A : not in manchester !

Q ; how many fans follow chelsea ?
A ; count them on one hand!

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool thinking they will finish in the top 4 is the biggest joke.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bellamy and carroll are two comedy signings. One is a donkey and the other one is old and past it

Agree0 Disagree0

Old and past it, like Drogba and Anelka yeah?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's the top 4 then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Man city, man utd, chelsea and liverpool will be top 4 in front of Arsenal, Spurs will finish mid table

Laughing at Burnley fans who are mouthing off because they kept Jay Rodriguez, tbh, it's out of relief because you lost so many other players.
Danny Fox, Jack Cork, Wade Elliot, Chris Eagles, Tyrone Mears, anyone I've missed? And replaced them with Ballmouth players.
Jay Rodriguez just doesn't want to leave his mummy.

As a Southampton fan, I agree with some Burnley
fans, that some Saints fans on here are totally arrogant and deluded. However do not ever forget that you had to win your final game in 1986ish
to stay in the league. Have you not ever been in serious financial bother,I am sure you have. You
are lucky that you never had Lowe and his cronies ruining your club instead of ours, before we had the
wonderful fortune to be bought by the best and most genuine owner in the entire league, Markus
Liebherr, and boy did he love this club.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

We may not have had Lowe, but Kilby & Flood are doing a good job of asset-stripping the club with their firesale. They wanted to sell Rodriguez but the player put a spanner in the works by deciding to stay put. That's why they sold Elliott at the last minute to top up their pension pots.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 21:25:37
what? haha what a load of crap saints are one of the biggest clubs in the championship so no way will we be in league 1 again and also we bought 4 players hardly splashing the cash

It makes me laugh the way leicester fans are crowing about how glad they are that they got beckford when really everybody knows that they've had to settle 4 the booby price after maynard rejected them. Beckfords an average player hence the reason everton sold him 4 so little money. Sven gone by xmas leicester bankrupt by next season

Believable6 Unbelievable1

As a Leeds fan Beckford is Svens best signing to date and guaranteed goals at this level,he could keep Sven in a job with his goals, cracking signing.

well what can i say it seems the majority of transfers i said to the predicted clubs went through

Wright Phillips to QPR
Bryan Ruiz to Fulham
Bentner to Sunderland
Mertazecker to Arsenal
David N' Gog to Bolton
Germaine Beclford to Leicester

remember you heard it here first

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah right, you're a proper legend you are, read sky sports, a bit of copy 'n paste and claim it as your own, brilliant!

Agree0 Disagree0

That's nothing! To QPR, I predicted Barton, SWP, Puncheon, Ferdinand and Young... and Bellamy and Crouch and Berbatov and Hooper and Bassong and Jenas and Dann and Ridgewell and Roy Race and Billy with the magic boots and the Banana Split with a long, dangly trunk (just in case).

Southampton hope to persuade Burnley to allow them to take Jay Rodriguez on loan (when the emergency loan window opens next week) with a view to a permanent move in January for £6 million. Source: Nicko (North West freelance).

haha ! Saints fan still clutching at straws because they didn't get a big name signing like maynard, beckford or Jay like they wanted. No club lets there best players out on loan ! ... But yeah whatever l go along with you .....i heard as part of the deal for Jay to go on loan to you your offering Lambert, Lallana and Cork to us for 250k. Muppet.

I am a 46 year old Evertonian who spent the 83/84 season in the RN based in Plymouth. I went to loads of games, including those in the great FA cup run. Plymouth are my second club and I have a lot of love for them. All Plymouth fans must demand that the administrators meet with Peter Reid and the players ASAP. Do not trust them. Please start to post requests for support on the big club sites( this website). You are a great club in jeopardy, do not delay.
Alll the very best of luck.

Feeling gr8 after top signing with beckford Maynard injured that y we didn't sign him much rather hav beckford

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Dunno about Maynard being injured but i've yet to talk to a Leicester fan who isn't as happy as a dog with two tails that we pinched Beckford and not Maynard. Nothing against the kid, nor BC, but, seriously, who honestly thought we'd snare Beckford? A better player at a better price, that'll do for me!

Happy days at the britannia stadium. Once Tony Pulis
has done us proud with crouch, palacios, jerome,
woodgate, and upson .some of the rumours on here
from jealous rivals were just laughable.
Sure we missed out on one or two, but Stoke City fans
are over the moon with these five combined with the
fact that none of our players were sold.
Expect furthur investment in January ! ! ! !

it took a soul crushing, morale destroying 8-2 defeat at the hands of his greatest rival for Wenger to realise the kind of players he needed, the list of some players he actually considered buying..
Nigel Reo Coker (free, before he went to Bolton obviously)
Chris herd (youngster at Villa)
Craig Gardner (before he joined Sunderland)

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Breaking News- Wenger turns down job at creche as he is no good with kids.

How are you Leicester fans feeling today? Didn't see you signing Maynard in the end

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Wev'e signed Beckford instead who is every bit as good as Maynard if not better by way of the fact that he has played at a higher level, (ok, not for long but at least he's been there) and we payed approx £1.5mil LESS for the privilige, how the hell do you think we are feeling you lemon?...the only people feeling happier than us at the mo are the administrators who are hovering over BCFC just waiting to reel them in, can't say they did'nt have the chance of a lifeline can they?...£6 mil for championship striker, great business for anyone in this league but they would be greedy and hold out for more, now it's backfired and they have lost their only chance to make big money on him because NO-ONE is going to pay that for him in January and if he stays after that he'll go for nothing at the end of the season, i just hope he continues to score you some goals because he is the only class player Bristol City have, the rest are average to sh**e and he can't get them promotion on his own, they have just shot themselves in the foot and i think they know it, Still, tough eh!

Agree0 Disagree0

I second that, Swindon beat them with a full squad of players and we cant win for sh1t at the moment !!

Come on administrators get in there and have those 10 points off them....

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have liked Maynard but i'm delighted that we landed Backford instead. At the end of the day, it makes not one jot of difference to me, the humble fan, if a player is signed for £4m or £10m so his (Maynard's) price didn't bother me one iota, it's not my money after all. I'm only bothered about getting a player capable of scoring lots of goals, and we did that.

Congratulations to BC for keeping their main man, i can't help but feel that they've made a huge mistake though. The money raised would have allowed your manager to bring in some players to steady the ship, a new striker and a defender or two, as it is, you'll plough on with what you've got and your manager will fall on his sword as a result, how will that help you to move forward?

Maynard is not as good as you guys claim, if he was then surely a Premier League side would have come in for him? No matter, he'll either sign a pre-contract in January or he'll walk away for nothing in the Summer. Who knows, he might even sign for Leicester!

So, to sum up, we're feeling great thanks, how are you?

Agree0 Disagree0

Big spenders wishing administration on less well off clubs has a way of biting people on the rear. Apart from one or two clubs, we all live on a wing and a prayer. I think QPR and Cardiff proved that spending and going up are not necessarily linked, albeit for different reasons.

Agree0 Disagree0

So you'd say that West Ham have no chance of promotion then? They've signed as many players as Leicester and have spent more than any other side bar Leicester in the process. They have an advantage in that they're London based meaning the likes of Bentley and Lansbury don't need to concern themselves with the location, just turn up, wear and different coloured shirt and play.

What people fail to grasp is that Sven came in after the window had closed last season and so built his team using nothing but loan players (Exc Sol Bamba) so all he's done this time around is create his own team, nothing more than that. Alladyce already had a team in place, he's only lost a few players but he felt the need to bring in TEN new players. Derby too have rebuilt from scratch and have basically thrown out last seasons team but because they've been unable to spend any real money, they're not mentioned, the Rams have signed more players than Leicester btw.

Wishing administration on any club is childish but it's equally childish to think such a thing will make a difference to any team's situation. Bristol City could have rebuilt using the money generated by the sale of Maynard but chose to keep him instead, that's up to them isn't it.

Leicester aren't the Devil just because they've spent some money, all that's happened this year is that Sven has bought the players he needed last year, and the players he needed this year, at the same time. The jealous and the haters don't like that we've got some money and the owners are actually prepared to spend it (see Leeds & Forest for examples of well run clubs who's management refuse to splash out) Leicester may or may not gain promotion this season, but there are plenty of people wishing bankruptcy on us if we fail - should we be upset?

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2011 12:47:12
Every team in the Championship (excluding the one's with good players) to sign James Beattie for nowt. Remember Beattie? He's that bloke who used to be semi-decent before he got old and crap, y'know, the same fella who's just been released because he's rubbish... oooh can't wait to sign him!

Ha! You mugs should try buying real players not begging in the bins for the scraps.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

01 Sep 2011 12:32:50
Can I just say all the burnley fans who are praising Rodreguiz is amazing he isn't the only reason he rejected southampton is because he wanted more then Lallana and more then the wage structure of the club which proves he has no loyalty he just wants the money ! I bet in a few weeks he will sign a new deal and had double his wages !

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Absolute rubbish. Jay turned down higher wages at the Saints to stay on lower wages at Burnley and Burnley won't increase his wages because they have a wage cap which no player can exceed !! good try.

01 Sep 2011 12:32:16

Its a shame about Saints not getting Rodriguez, hes obviously a player with potential.
All credit to the guy, hes staying loyal to Burnley, but Money talks in the end.
I think for the time being Saints should get James Beattie on loan til January.
Theres no point panic buying just for the sake of getting a cover striker.
As long as we are competitive in this league thats all that matters.

What a rubbish signing. He struggled playing in the championship last season and no one wanted him.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

No he is 42 i think. Should be good company for old man carra

Agree0 Disagree0

Bellamy is even worse than donkey carroll!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool are effectively payin for bellamys wages with the fee they got for ngog....and id safely say hes better than ngog!! so not the worst signin in the world, and no money spent on him, simples!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you answer your own posts?

ste liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

Bellamy is a joke

Agree0 Disagree0

Struggled in the Championship? I'm kind of guessing... and stop me if this is too left field... but I'm guessing that you know nothing about any club outside the top four but think you do because you watch them for 8 mins on MOTD.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bellamy is a decent signing and he will only be used as back up. If he turns out to be bad chelsea will give us about 30 million for him so no big loss

You Burnley fans have Got a cheek insulting Southampton fc we offered well over the odds for a medeocre player I'm glad we didn't get rodreguez over rated if he was that good a premier league side would have come in for him so get on with your season good luck yer gonna need it

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Doesn't say much about Cortese and Adkins if they are willing to offer "over the odds" for a mediocre player like Jay Rod. Saints paid well over the odds (£1.8 million) for donkey Danny Fox - just wait and see we ripped you off there like we did with "Walking Red Card" Wayne Thomas. You'll be back in admin again the way you pay over the odds in wages and transfer fees.

Nigel Clough is secretly furious he didn't get the funds to purchase the experienced midfielder and big name striker he was promised. Unless his loan targets are acquired he will walk out of the club, Tom Glick will take over as manager to save on unnecessary wages that the club would need to appoint a new manager

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Join the club. Derby are nearly as bad as Burnley for having the biggest skinflint board in the Championship.

I think Coventry win (lose) this, despite the signing of Cody McDonald for about half the cash we received for Ben Turner yesterday (plus we pocketed some for the Dann sell on fee... straight to the Board).

nice to see norwich buying another keeper well done
NOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why? Dont see why we need one. We have 2 very talented keepers in Ruddy and Rudd (recently called up to the England U21's). If we need to we can always get an emergency GK loan to cover serious injuries/suspensions to both keepers.

As a Burnley fan its a sad loss to see Elliot leave to a rival club after 6 years loyal service. i assume it was a minimal fee due to his age which really annoys me, a player who played every game of our premier campaign and got the goal which got us there shame he didn't see out his career with the clarets. Eagles, Mears, Elliot, Fox will be a big loss this season top half finish best we can hope for no playoffs.
At least Jay Rod turned down the southern fairies Southampton at least someone wants to stay

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Terrible to sell Elliott for only £400,000-£500,000. Skinflint Kilby strikes again as he feathers his nest at the fans' expense.

We can ill-afford to lose one of our few remaining experienced players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Fox will be a loss - we did well to get our money back for him £1.8 million and off the wage bill.

Liverpool re-signing Bellamy not a good deal for me 32yrs old, not exactly what the club has been building on with the recent signings. Lets give some more experience to the youth players.

Anyone who hands in a transfer request should be sold asap you don't need the negativity in the dressing room but still a good player to lose and to one of our rivals again not a good move.

Obviously it is not productive signing players so late in the transfer market, one can only trust in KK we certainly seem to be moving in the right direction but I do not have day dreams of the title just yet top 4 is the best we can hope for.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

01 Sep 2011 02:28:04
Bellamy is past it, nobody wanted him apart from liverpool, championship player last season, should have stayed there.Liverpool are turning into an embarrassment

now the season can really start, city and united with chelsea chasing,to battle it out for the title, liverpool are a good bet for 4th with arsenal and spurs putting up a fight, one thing that stood out was arsenal's signings, not very good i thought, the german is slow and spent most of last season injured, arteta is injury prone and not as good as fabregas, and benayoun is a benchwarmer.best signings were young, jones, mata, meireles, aguero, nasri, gervinho, lukaku(if he gets a game),the rest were mainly average players who either didnt cut it at bigger clubs e.g wright phillips, jenas, crouch, adebayor, hutton, parker or are simply overrated e.g adam, henderson.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Nope. Best two signings were Barton and Bellamy on frees. No question.

Liverpool are now chelseas feeder club ha ha ha. Any one of your players would sign for us in a heartbeat

Happy that Southampton signed a centre back. That was the nececity, whereas a top striker would be a luxury. Believable5 Unbelievable1

Beckford, maynard, rodriguez to name but a few..where were southampton on deadline day? beckford joined us and now a fox! so desperate were we for more firepower i thought we might have even made a last ditch attempt to sign rickie lambert after showing his abilities in scoring the winner for us last weekend!

Let's be honest your club excepted the deal so they have no ambition just money on the mind but let's see where we all are at the end of the season plus striker to sign today at open training. Coyrs
