You should be banned from the site based on your appalling lack of English. Leeds, Wolves and Stoke all put a bid in for Robbie but all rejected.. That's from the training ground, not some joker taking a second guess

qpr having a little clear out german could be going to plymouth on loan, hulse to southampton while tommy smith is wanted by burnley.we might make a 8 million bid for parker while we are looking at jerome thomas and cameron jerome and a bid for alan hutton

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Burnley are not in the market for another striker, we now have 5 when Paterson returns from Injury. and you'll argue he can play on the wing .. well we have 4 of them as well.

i can see a geordie win tomorrow thats for sure, although i cant help feel that a draw would be a better result just to show that we do require a striker or 2 and M.A needs to spend if we are to not be in a relegation battle. seriously tho, howay the lads, i know we can get another result. loads of positive thoughts for the mora from supporters to.

Swindon Town will complete the signing of Charlton striker Paul Benson before Sundays game against Oxford Utd. They've beaten off competition from Gillingham and Leyton Orient.

This rumour is untrue as benno has already stated to leave the club he would have to stay in london or close by to daggenham so kent or essex so his kids could stay at school.

Southampton Football Club publishes accounts for 2009/10
Saints made a pre-interest and pre-tax loss of £7.76m in the year ending 30 June 2010.

St. Mary's Stadium
In virtually a year after Markus Liebherr rescued Saints from administration and wiped out its existing debt, it had wracked up a loss before player trading of £6.68m
---------------------------------
Yes we made a loss of £7m, but that is because he paid off the debts, repainted a refurbished around and inside the stadium, basically bought a new team after relegation to league one. Overall i wouldnt say that was bad, plus we have millions in the bank to cover losses so happy days :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They do not need to win on the road to go through.Score draw will see Celtic through.I am a Rangers fan.But want to see all our teams go through.Even them lot in the east end.Its good for Scottish football.Rangers and Man City went as far as any other Brit team in the Europa league last year. For anybody out there that wants to have a pop at Scottish teams always going out at the first stage. Its not like that all the time.

Southampton will beat rivals Portsmouth to the signing of Bari striker Erik Huseklepp for £2,000,000
I hope it's wrong to be honest, His record looks pretty poor and is not worth the 2 Million. If Portsmouth have signed this player what was the point of signing Benjani and Varney ? 4 Strikers fighting for first team action and 1 of 5 places on the bench.
Varney's a left winger. Don't be bitter just because we signed him and he rejected you, that's how football is.

From what I know Varney is a striker, To be honest I would be surprised if Saints where intersted in this player. Glad he rejected us did'nt want him tbh E.R.W

well that shows what you know then, because he stated his prefered position is left wing.

Could'nt care less where Varney play's. I thought he was a striker because he played upfront for Blackpool last season. All I can say is your being pathetic about this whole situation to be honest. You might have beaten us nearly 2 years ago but that was when we had half our players cup tied and since then have had changes to the team. Will see what happens when it comes to December. For now just leave this alone. erw

Gentlemen, gentlemen, gentlemen. This is a rumour site and with rumour sites - rumours will be indicated. But the players Southampton are after and are interested in will only appear officially once the deal has been completed. That's the way the new managerment does things. Which in my eyes is as it should be.

For all the other supporters having a dig at us - go ahead the true southampton supporters don't care and as we believe in the management and the direction they are taking the team.

For some of the the Portsmouth Supports, please get a life its becoming boring now.

We will let our football do the talking.

So the rest of you have a good season and may the best team win the league.

A team that gets 25000+,great stadium, top training facilities, one of the best academys in the country and are top of the league...
What can the skates offer?? 13000 at a derby game, you use our old training ground that is based in an SO postcode,S*it stadium,no academy...UNLESS YOU ARE PAYING STUPID WAGES AGAIN...But its all hyperthetical as we never were in for him just a rumour on this site...Our business we be conducted as normal behind closed doors and we wont start anymore negotiating till a week before the window shuts...Once again Arsenal left the best player at SFC since MLT,, Adam Lallana who is the real wonderkid...The price on his head is £20m and no one will pay that, but to SFC he is worth that and more

Wolves are said to be 'very insecure' financially after an independent auditor (my brother works for) which cant be named looked into the books. Cements the rumours that Jarvis, Doyle and Fletcher are all on there way out

What a joke every football fan in Country know Wolves are the only club not in debt.
Also as a Wolves Supporter Albion won't go down (would love them too but not going to happen) neither will we nor Villa, the three who come up will buckle and come straight back down or Blackburn taking one of the places, so why not stop all the Wolves, Albion, Villa banter and post serious discussions.

Rumour has it that Leeds fans drop out of the Play Off zone for 'most deluded' fans and hold a respectable mid-table position, endearing them to neutrals. Leicester's early push as 'most deluded' has stagnated of late, but they remain in the hunt. Brighton fans continue to hold their own, battling with Leicester for the second automatic promotion position. Surprisingly, Southampton are heading the league of most deluded fans. A good team, but fans taking the edge off a Football Rumours website. And that is saying something.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Whereas the author of this drivel is perfect, his team (whoever that may be) is perfect and the fans of that team have never made up anything on here that would see our hero class them as delusional. Must be lovely to be so wonderful but being so full of s**t must hurt?

Leicester have had a bid accpted for Southampton's Adam Lallana. He is said to be considering a contract offer that is almost doubles his current salary.

-----------------------------

How would you have the money to afford him, considering he is more valuable to southampton then chamberlain ever was. Therefore his price would be 17 million plus. And why would he move to another Championship team with less of a set up and possible the worst team chemistry in the league. He is a key man at southampton and has been there since the start of his playing career and he loves the club and he signed a new 4 year contract at the end of last season Saints also in a fine position financially with no need to sell.

Find a decent rumour before you post on our wall

--------------------

Completely agree, worst team chemistry in England, money doesn't buy you success. Plus, Adkins wouldn't sell lallana, and lallana doesn't want to be sold. Cushty.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Yes. That is how football transfers work. Adam Lallana is worth £17m. No bias or hyperbole.

Nothing to contribute..? Give a casual opinion on the protracted Lallana to anyone rumour.

Also, flats available to rent in the clouds. Good head space. Southampton fans only.

Reading the ridiculous comments re the Wolves and WBA supposedly clubs in crisis. maybe these should be edited out to give the rumours site at least some credibility. The fact is that BOTH clubs are probably the best run in the premiership, neither have wage bills beyond the earning potential of the club itself, BOTH have good managers and chief executives who know that living beyond your means is a path to disaster, just look at Newcastle, Birmingham and others, and wait for the disaster that next year will be Leicester City and the other big championship spenders who are going all out to achieve the prize

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Some teams have started gettin a few academy players into their team in the championship: southampton hav thrived off this and look where they r now i am also coventry also have a couple of good prospects. leicester has a shocking academy because i wud happily bet you no academy players iwll get the chance to shine and make a breakthrough.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The only highlight of a miserable start to the season and bleak future for Coventry fans is the form of the kids. Three 17 year olds played most of our game at Palace as part of a midfield diamond and we also have an 18 year old right back. This is through necessity rather than choice... we are skint with a small squad and administration is a real threat. Looking particularly class is Gael Bigirimana in the middle of the park, exciting times in that respect (unless you consider the possibility that he will be sold for less than he is already worth in the not too distant future).

Agree0 Disagree0

They will all bang on about academy graduate Andy King, but you are right. Leicester have spent so much money, academy graduates should and will not be getting the nod any time soon. Skint and under-manned Coventry are a different proposition and (overachieving?) Southampton have had more time to go about things in a more nurturing manner. Leicester have a good squad, but it cannot be argued that they have not yet looked anything like automatic promotion contenders. Can't tell anything at this stage, I know.

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem regarding teams with money to spend is not the teams, it's the rules that allow them to go nuts in the transfer market that need altering. A Salary cap would sort it out in no time at all. Ok some sides would still suffer but them's the breaks, introduce a salary cap that's realistic and watch the foreign legion pack up and go home. The quality of football would initially suffer but i'm sure it wouldn't take long to recover and it may help the International sides too as European sides wouldn't be jammed full of guys plying their trade in the Premier League. They say English football is the fastest in the world, it doesn't help us much when we teach everyone how we play though does it?

I'm a Leicester fan and i'd rather have us playing 11 lads from Leicester, but it's not the way the game goes anymore i'm afraid.

Agree0 Disagree0

A salary cap for individual players would be unlawful. A total salary cap for each club overall could probably be brought in if the authorities had the will to do it, although it is not apparent that they have such a will at the moment.
The more top class players there are in the Premiership, of whatever nationality, can only be a good thing. A bigger problem to my mind is lower down the scale where mediocre foreign players are stifling young British talent. Again, this can be addressed if there is the will.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2011 11:14:43
You have to laugh, Palace after Harley ? Given that they'd never heard of him before Swansea said he was coming here to Brighton more stupidity. In any case, who apart from one of our cast offs who would pick a struggling pauper's club like Palace over Brighton ?

Despite Big Sam being a lifelong Wolves fan is he likely to let one of his starting XL leave the club for 1-2 million when in 12-months time the most probable outcome is that West Ham will be again competing in the Premier League and the value of each of these will be double what they are now. If this time next year they remain in the Championship there is a likely hood players like Tomkins will be cashed in on

unfortunately football is all about money, Blackburn won the league because of money, and pompey and saints were relegated because of lack of it, but no one really has any right to moan about these small amounts when clubs like man utd and chelsea buy the premiership. i four one are glad Pompey won the FAcup and teams like Stoke and Birmingham get to wembley so petty squabbles from ill informed saints fans should be ignored i'm afraid
