where do half these stories come from for players ipswich town are biddding on i have never heard of so much , ill let you fill the rest in

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I've seen on chelsea tv tonight that ipswich have enquired about ross turnbull.
chelsea signed the Genk GK today and have just offered Hillario a 1 year contract which would push turnbull to 4th GK.
Turnbull wants more first team games and Town are looking for someone to put pressure on their current number 1

Agree1 Disagree0

They are also looking to take Van Arnholt on loan from chelsea as he needs games for experience and is currently behind ashley cole. Chelsea not interested in permanent move though

Brighton to sign Cesc Fabregas because they are a big club and they have signed CMS and have a new 23,000-seater stadium which means everyone wants to join us because were going to walk the Championship this season.

Fabregas is the next target after OWEN GARVAN turned them down because brighton are so big that garvan didn't want join them.

100% true

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Kaka has also turned down a move to brighton as he was too intimidated to move to a team as big as them and decided to stay in his comfort zone at madrid

Agree0 Disagree0

Looking forward to brighton away
it was great last time , let boats off and had good time in jail for three weeks

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who said Arsenal will pay £5m and Nasri to sign Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneidjer and that Lyon will pay £7.5m for a defender who is hardly experienced for a 22 year old defender. They will not pay that kind of money for a back-up left-back.

Inter Milan don't value Sneidjer at around £18m.

Arsenal will never sign Sneidjer, Schweinstiger, Nani, Hazard or anyone player at that magnitued.

This will be the a**ehole's squad.

GK= Szczesny, Mannone, Fabianski.
DEF= Sagna, Eboue, Jenkinson, Gibbs, Vermaelen, Samba, Koscienly, Djourou, Squilacci.
MID= Walcott, Arshavin, Watt, Nasri, Chamberlain, Wilshere, Busquets, Diaby, Ramsey, Song.
ATT= Van Persie, Gervinho, Vela, Benzema.

OUTS:
Almunia- Espanyol- £2.5m
Bendtner- Everton- £9m
Clichy- Manchester City- £8m
Chamakh- PSG- Season loan
Fabregas- Barcelona- £25m+Busquets
Traore- Juventus- £3.5m
Lansbury- Norwich- £1.5m
Emmanuel-Thomas- Blackpool- Loan till January
Frimpong- AJ Ajacco- Season loan
Eastmond- Watford- Season loan

These people who slate chelsea fc are jealous of the power our club has, and the stature in football that we have become, chelsea forever and ever.

I think you have that all a bit wrong. You have no stature in Football, unlike Liverpool, Utd and the like. What your club represents is greed, power and everything that is rotten and corrupt in our game. A meglomaniac owner with a "shady" history and bad decision making in his choosing and firing of staff, a club that wants to buy its way to the top and buy its "history" and a Football club that doesnt give a s**t about its loyal supporters because its only function is to be a toy for a man with more money than sense. Im inclined to think that the greats from the clubs past, the Charlie Cooks, Ossie, Chopper Harris etc must be ever so proud
Super Yid
PS: No you cant f*cking have Modric. ; )

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Think you'll find pal that, every team must buy success thats why Liverpool has spent 100million since Kennys returned and SAF spent 30 odd million on Young and Jones, the problem is teams around the world know Chelsea have money which means they hold Chelsea to ransom, also we dont know why the likes of Wilkins was sacked so therefore you can only speculate. Atleast Abramovic has the balls to sack managers if they fail in winning the league/champions league unlike that Arsenal mob who havent won anything under that clown Wenger for years now and yet he still sits comfortably in a job quite happy finishing in the top 4.

PS we were not askin for Modric, we were tellin yous that were taking him full stop.

Agree1 Disagree2

Chelsea=no class, immoral, corrupt, losers.

Agree2 Disagree0

How did liverpool buy success and history? how much did souness, dalglish, rush, fowler, hughes, clemence, whelan, hansen, lawrenson, nicol, highway, owen, case, keegan, toshack cost? same for united.how much did best, charlton, edwards, law, robson, cantona, beckham, neville, giggs, scholes, keane, violet, busby cost?? not really buying success is it when you compare with what is going on at chelsea and man city

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Like every arsenal fan it is infuriating to watch liverpool and united especially strengthening their squad even though even thought they won the league and got to champions league while arsenal do nothing.

The sun said today that arsenal have offered 14million for Lukaku, I would be very surprised if this happened as only a few days ago it was reported the Anderlecht told chelsea they wanted 30 million euros for him. Personally I don't see us signing a new striker I expect vela to be used more this season and Gervinho has been signed which could see Walcott used more centrally as he has been begging Wenger to play there for some time.

I also don't see a defensive midfielder being signed, Frimpong and maybe Emanuel-Thomas to be used more this season and with Ramsey back to full fitness Wenger will see no need to buy. However I don't see Wenger selling Nasri or Fabregas unless barca offer 40mill+ which would be unlikely as they are said to be close on Sanchez

The denfence is the area that annoys me the most, Arsene always lets players go then says we have the quality players available to fill the role...no if Gibbs was ready he would of been picked ahead of Clichy it doesn't make sense. We must buy, Jose Enrique is said to be waiting on a move to arsenal, sign him then if he wants to move and the Pardew himself has said this it could help the price. Secondly arsenal must sign a centre back cahill has one season left on his contract and the bolton fee is outrageous arsenal should offer 10 mill take it or leave and move on. But i don't understand why they don't sign Mertesacker, 6ft6 compared to Cahill 6ft2 stature, 75 caps for Germany compared to Cahill's 3 and has champions league experience, as well as being in the last year of his contract and Bremen saying they have financial issues. Or we could try and get both and have three top quality defenders Vermaelen who can also play left back and if enrique isn't signed would mean, Cahill and Mertesacker could both play. I think we also need another keeper like given who can help develop Szczesny and get shot of Fabianski and Almunia.

Ed what do you think? would really appreciate some feedback especially on our chances of getting Mertesacker and if there is any action Arsenal can take to stop everyone at Barcelona commenting and unsettling Fabregas more?

But I'm not hopeful next season I see the team next season as;
Szczesny
Sagna Djourou Vermaelan Gibbs
Wilshere/Ramsey Fabregas
Gervinho Nasri
Walcott V.Persie

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Why do people think that Mertesacker's height would transform our fortunes? Mobile centre backs of 6"2 to 6"3 are what you need. Mertesacker is a lump he's rubbish

blackburn have reportedly made a cheeky player plus cash offer to tottenham, bentley to return plus 5 million for samba, if it goes through it would represent the best transfer deal in blackburns history having sold bentley to spurs for 15 million.

that means you will give tottenham an 12million player and aswell 5million.... that makes 17million pound so you will lose 2million

Believable2 Unbelievable7

Wolves bottom..are you serious

im a west ham fan but ohara and johson are great signings , also you must be a qpr fan because 1 bothroyd hasnt made it in the prem , 2 tarabbt was crap for spurs in the premier league and will get done by good defenders and 3 kieron dyer is a there marquee signing and played 15 games in 4 seasons good luck

Agree1 Disagree1

Chelsea will finish 1st, liverpool 10th, spurs 12th, otherwise good predictions.

Agree0 Disagree5

West Brom will finish in the relegation zone with Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn, Wigan, Norwich or Swansea. Roger Johnson and Jamie O'Hara are fantastic signings and they will finish 15th. Aston Villa will finish higher than 13th even though they have sold Ashley Young and Stewart Downing. N'Zogbia and Parker will be good signings if joined and I don't think Everton will finish 7th this year

Agree1 Disagree2

Norwich will be bottom by miles.

Agree2 Disagree1

I'm also a westham fan and QPR to finsih top ten is just funny, kierein dyer is tarabts replacement good luck with that, neil warnock is probably going to get the sack and so no one will want to go to that sort of club, and my three to go down are QPR, swansea and blackburn

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with you Gus Poyet looks like he is going to be a great manager, which is why come january when prem clubs like Everton, Wolves, etc.. might struggle they will come calling and he will go running and you want to hope Harry at spurs does'nt get banged up by the high court this year. Brighton you are a small club, you had a good season last year, you have signed 4 average players so far but you let elliott bennet go who was your best player last season by far. Reality is you will struggle this year there way to many strong teams in the championship this year and your not one off them. You fans should hope just to survive forget promotion 5th from bottom would be a great season for you

WHO ARE YOU GOD....

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Most people on this site predict Leicester and West Ham will be the top two. How come they both showed interest in Craig Mackail-Smith. Will Buckley has had championship experience and is a fine signing and LuaLua is a decent signing two. Bottom three will be Doncaster, Peterborough and some shock one like Middlesbrough. Brighton not play-offs, not releagation, just mid-table. 13th my prediction.

Time for Norwich, Swansea & QPR fans to wake up. The players you have are not premiership quality players, if they were they were they would already be playing in the premier. To be fair if villa get some of the targets they're after they may suprise some people. Given, nzogbia, wright-phillips, parker, they have money to spend from the sales of young and downing and new manager.

A message to all big club mentality small minded so called football fans. Brighton have had the worst ground in the football league for 12 years max capacity 8,000. Brighton have sold out season tickets 18,000.

Our city or club is not as big as a lot in c-chip, so what we are enjoying new ground, financial security, GREAT FOOTBALL, we didnt cheat and go into administration like 30+ other clubs, we slogged it out for years we beat Portsmouth and Watford in FA cup last year, expect a good welcome to our new home next year win or lose i dont care its in my blood.

A big thank you to Notts County supporters who did a pitch invasion last match last year and came over to our 3,000 fans and clapped us and sung with us, cant see that happening with championchip clubs some how

Breaking new at the emirates:

The board have given Arsene Wenger a ultimatum: buy big stars to help win trophies and show the fans the clubs ambitions or your sacked next year.

Everyone at Arsenal has had to accept the Fabregas' desires to play for Barcelona, and as they are not willing to pay the estimated £45m, Arsene has been told to accept a cash plus players offer and they are willing to offer £20m plus Maxwell/Abidal & Sergio Busquets. Wenger will swallow his pride and accept.

Wantaway frenchman Nasri is wanted by both Manchester clubs city & united but is also being monitored by Inter as a replacement for Sneijder who is also wanted by Uinted. As we do not want to strengthan our rivals any more than we have Wenger plans to hi jack the Sneijder deal with Nasri & 5m going the other way.

With Almunia looking to return to spain this year Arsene is looking for another keeper to prevent the same situation occuring as last season. Arsene believes he can swoop for Reina now Liverpool have signed Doni, a fee from £10-12m.

Arsene has made it clear of his desires to bulk up his defence and two names are mentioned in ever debate, Gary Cahill & Samba. Wenger wants to offload Koscienly back to france with PSG & Lyon monitering him, the fee should be about £4-6m, Squillaci of to Hamburg for £5m, which will open the door for Wenger to spend what he need to land the defensive duo, expect £10m & Denilson to land Cahill & £9m to land Samba.

In boosting arsenals attacking options there has been some speculation with Juan Mata, Wenger wants to snap him up as quick as possible with Vela going the other way as he has had a poor season but seems to fit in to the spanish game, £8m & Vela is a bargain buy.

Rosicky & Bendtner are not needed anymore, Wenger will offer both these player to lure Schweinstiger from Bayern.

Last purchase of the market will be Hinguain of Madrid, £25m will seal the deal once Madrid have bought Tevez.

Summary

Ins: £69m
Maxwell/Abidal - (Fabregas deal)
Busquets - (Fabregas deal)
Sneijder - £5m plus Nasri
Reina - £10/12m
Cahil - £10m & Denilson
Samba - £9m
Mata - £8m & Vela
Schweinstiger - Rosicky & Bendtner
Hinguin - £25m

Outs: £31-35m
Fabregas - £20m plus players
Nasri - (Sneijder deal)
Almunia - Spain on cheap
Koscienly - France £4-6m
Squilacci - Hamburg £5m
Denilson - (Cahill deal)
Vela - (Mata deal)
Rosicky - (Schweinstiger deal)
Bendtner - (Schweinstiger deal)

You rate Sneidjer at around £20-£25m and rate Mata at around £14m and you rate Schweinstiger at £10m, you are f***in joking. Denilson will leave England. Sneidjer would prefer Manchester United as he would not be guranteed a place with Song, Ramsey, Diaby, Busquets, Wilshere, Schweinstiger, Lansbury, Eastmond, Emmaneul-Thomas and Frimpong all challenging for places. You are mad. Vermaelen, Samba and Cahill all want first-team football and so do Walcott, Mata, Arshavin, Van Persie, Gervinho, Van Persie and Chamakh. This guy is a barking tosser. You have to agree.

Everton HAVE to sell one of their big assets, so either jagielka baines rodwell , or 2 out of distin arteta saha bilialetdinov will have to go if any players are bought in... This is only my opinion but the club has no money, the chairman doesnt want to risk the clubs future buy spending cash it hasnt got...... This is a major shame for a traditional and well supported club, but when u cant raise £10mil for n'zogbia as ur big summer signing then ur in trouble, really hope £20mil bid from somewhere comes in for rodwell n let david moyes strengthen the team My opinion from a wolves fan

Kazenga LuaLua has joined Albion on a six-month loan deal, with a view to making a permanent move during the January transfer window.
The live-wire winger completed the necessary paperwork last night, and will join the Seagulls for their week-long training camp in Portugal from Monday.
Gus Poyet told seagulls.co.uk, "Kazenga was one of our main summer targets and I am delighted we have finally come to an agreement with Newcastle United. I am sure the fans will be equally delighted to see him back at the club.
"He will join us for our week away, which will be vital, and I am sure those travelling to support will be delighted to see him in a Brighton shirt once again."

Albion are celebrating the return to their ranks of Kazenga LuaLua.

The explosive Newcastle winger has rejoined the Seagulls on loan for six months with a view to making the move permanent in January.

The deal was finally sealed last night after French utility player Romain Vincelot had earlier completed a £100,000 move from Dagenham and Redbridge.

The recapture of LuaLua, following two influential loan stints at the club in the last two seasons, ends Albion's summer-long pursuit of the fleet-footed wide man.

An earlier attempt to buy him collapsed at the eleventh hour but boss Gus Poyet believes his arrival provides a twin threat with Craig Noone which will be feared by Championship defenders.

Poyet said: "What great news for this football club and the fans. After we got Craig Mackail-Smith the player the fans have been shouting for is Kazenga.

"Going to The Amex to see LuaLua running down the line is going to be sensational.

"If I was a fullback in any opposing team in England and I know the opposition have got the chance to play Nooney and Kazenga I would worry a lot and think about how I am going to cope with them."

LuaLua will be part of the squad which flies out to Portugal on Monday for matches next week against Tottenham's development group, Paris Saint-Germain and Olhanense.

The capture of versatile Vincelot ends Poyet's search for fullback cover for Inigo Calderon and Marcos Painter. The 25-year-old can also operate in the centre of defence or central midfield.

Poyet said: "People might recognise him as a midfielder because of what he did at Dagenham but he is a very good full-back. He is very good in the air which also gives him an extra option.

"We now have Calderon, Painter, Romain all fighting for places and possibly Tano (assistant Mauricio Taricco) because he has been outstanding through pre-season.

"We are hearing rumours that we will be going down from seven to five subs on a matchday so that's a problem for every team. We need players who can play in different positions to give cover across the pitch and Romain provides that."

Vincelot's arrival means Albion are no longer interested in signing trialist Curtis Osano.

Poyet said of the former Rushden and Diamonds right-back: "He was very close. He did very well for us. It was a matter of timing."

Dream on plonkers, lg1 is your limit

I think the final sentance says it all... Brighton were "very close" to signing a guy from Rushden & Diamonds - whooo they know how to take the league by storm and no mistake

Agree0 Disagree0

Such a long posting for a tiny club and signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh come on - they've got a new ground so let them have their 5 minutes of glory. Come January and they're 5 points adrift of everyone else we'll see how much they rate their new signings then.

Leicester are a bigger club then Brighton, Brighton because you got a new football pitch it does not make the biggest club in the land. You still got to fill it week in week out, you really need to get off to a good start this season, if you dont your little stadium will be half empty most games.

I don't think Brighton will have a problem filling there new stadium as 18500 season tickets sold out. What you lot don't seem to realise is that Brighton are the biggest club side in the whole of Sussex. So won't have a problem filling the stadium. And for your info I have seen them fill the old goldstone ground to 40,000 plus before seating came in. So not sure who's kidding who regarding support. In terms of support they are massive. Currently were just happy to have a brand new stadium and a chairman who has money to spend. Now sod off and worry about lie Chester and there under achieving little team.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Off course you will fill it to start with its capacity is only 22374 could be increased to 35000 that wont happen do need a stadium that size in league 1 ask Saints fans thats were you are going back to. when Brighton start to stuggle or a prem team poaches you manager from you in january your season will fall apart. gus was a major part to your sucsess last season even you must agree with that and you let your best player go Elliott Bennet and brought 4 average on so far. Brighton you are a small club compared to at least 10-15 clubs in the championship, yes your stadium is loverly but that does not make you a big club just because you got a new stadium wake up once you come down off yours poppers you will relise this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because someone has a pop at you doesn't mean their a saints fan. I know the clubs don't get on but their no the only ones who don't like you. It could easily have been a pompey or palace fan.

Some confirmed rumours...

Nottingham Forest will be signing someone (anyone) 'tomorrow' - it might start off as 'today' but it'll end up as tomorrow and, as we all know, tomorrow never comes. You'd think they would have learnt by now, still, they once won the European Cup and every single player in their side, even fat Andy Reid, is worth £10m so that's ok.

Brighton will get overly excited about signing a nobody for about fifty quid (or better yet, a loan player nobody has heard of) they'll spend a few hours gloating even though nobody cares and they'll mention their new (small) stadium a few times whilst they predict instant promotion and a knighthood for Poyet.

Leeds fans will continue to link their club with every player they can think of and will ignore the fact that Leeds don't have a pot to piss in. They'll proclaim Alan Smith to be the new messiah and will continue to think that Max Gradel is the new Ronaldo. They, like Forest, will hark back to when they used to be a good side and won't let the fact that it was so long ago that most of them wern't even born when their team was truely great stop them.

These are not rumours - FACT

20 mill for downing, kenny has lost the plot. 21 years and counting since liverpool won the league

Absolute rip off. Never worth 20 million. And what does Kenny see in this guy? He is an average prem player, surley there is better quality out there. SHOCKING.

So you think you are a better judge of players than KK....I don't think so.

Agree0 Disagree4

Yes the very same KK who got Mr Blobby up front, £35m for a slow bus. hahaha

Agree3 Disagree0

Liverpuddle have made a lot of poor signings since dogleash has come back.

Agree2 Disagree0

£15m should of been accepted by Aston Villa in my opinion. He occasionally brought a bit of magic to Aston Villa last season, but didn't do it on a regularly basis. Ashley Young wasn't at his best last season, but then again was anyone on form for Villa. Carroll, £35m, joke and Suarez was the only player where Liverpool fans can say "money well spent"
