Sheffield United looking into signing the three, free agents what have just been released by Portsmouth.

John Harley, 33, has played for united before twice on loan and on permanent. Heard he was a good player while he was with us some years back but still think he can provide us some experience in the defence and will do a job at LB.

Lee Williamson, 30, played for united last season but then left because he didn't sign a new contract. He was a key player last season and I think he could be the player what we need to get promoted.

Brian Howard, 29, again played for united before didn't really do much last time but could be a player what we need to make the players work harder in matches which should win us games.

FRENCHMAN Jean-Alain Fanchone's association with the Hornets has ended, after his loan deal from Udinese was cancelled by mutual consent.The defender made just the single first-team appearance, a start away at Blackburn Rovers, and didn't appear on the seven-strong subs' bench either before or after his cameo - covering for the suspended Daniel Pudil.

Jamie Proctor signed today for Crawley! Wahoo that's three strikers now, about time. Just need a young center mid to replace Akpan and a center back to replace mcfadden and maybe a goalkeeper and we are on our way!

Real need is the central defender position, although Mark and Joe have done well that pairing is too young and inexperienced, big Claude is starting to struggle too much with fitness. Also a right back much as I love Hunty his lack of pace is a real problem in this league.

Good Club Shrewsbury, much better facilities than Motherwell, Not sure Humphrey would go back there, But League One has got to be looked at as a step up in class, and more importantly, more Money for the lad. And for the record Humphrey is a good player, who would pretty much walk into the current Shrews Team. Good luck to Him.

Don't think he'd get into team ahead of our current right winger Jon Taylor. Be nice to have him on other wing though !!
