the lee miller to dundee united rumour there is nothing on that apart from him being in the united section at the celtic game could be for many reasons so no need to worry bout him coming back just yet

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Miller got a lot of goals for Hearts one year.Be good to see him back in Scottish football. Its better than warming the bench down there.

Right listen saints fans. Jay Rod was born in Burnley, he wouldn't leave his home town club for Southampton. Yes you have a bigger ground, fan base but he loves Burnley. The only thing that could part him from Burnley would be a prem side

Funny how similar things were being said about jack cork earlier in the transfer window......

Burnley news

1.Sam Togwell will not sign for Burnley this week although he is one of a few midfielders being watched at the moment

2.Danny Ings to sign on Monday for 1M with only 500,000 paid at first and rest after goals/games/promotion etc

3.Ryan Shotton will stay at Stoke at least until the end of the month with Stokes injury problems

4.Jay Rodriguez could leave has Southampton are expected to offer 5.5M this week which could tempy Kilby to sell

5.Burnley want Morgan Schneiderlin as part of any Rodriguez deal
--------------------------------
Although not announced on the OS just yet, Morgan Schneiderlin did an interview with a french magazine saying he'd signed a 3 year extension on his contract, Southampton would not offer him as part of any deal.

As already stated, big clear out on the way - then Fernandez will spend big to keep the club in the Premiership. After Liverpool's performence yesterday i have got a feeling that alot of inconsistant performences happening this season, the first half performence with a missed penalty, goal and downing hitting the cross bar was one of the best performences ive seen from any team in the premier league, but the second half performence baffled me, even though Sunderland have a strong side.
I think King Kenny needs to go and force a transfer for either Cahill or Shawcross and then another striker that is worth 10MIL as back up for Suarez and Caroll even though Kuyt can fill in their if needed. If Kenny can get the team performing like the first half vs Sunderland on a regular basis we will easily achieve top four.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

And your basing this on the ONE match that we have played so far this season? Why do people judge how the season will pan out after the first game of the season? Next week we could smash Arsenal and people will quicky change there perspective, give the team time to gel together and get in the groove mate, they'll come good.

To all cocky ignorants saints fans,
What many fans from different clubs dont find fair is Southamptn once in administration have so much cash to spend where teamslike Burnley, Watford and Millwall and many more teams have not gone into adminstration but still cant soend the millions as other teams who have experienced administartion. Thes teams have done everything properly with no recognition. And furthurmore, Southampton and fans specualte about players unsettling them from these clubs. This is a veiw of many and for all those ignorant, cocky saints fans who will complain about this post, why dont you get a life and stop making up rumours on this site. Grow Up Say whats true as i just have. And reaise how teams who dont av the millions will never be able to buy success, they will have to work hard like what should happen.
from many real fans who are sick of you
-------------------------------------------------------------

i don't think you have properly grasped the purpose of this site, it's a football RUMOURS site, meaning a lot of it will be b/s. Also, what sort of player will get unsettled because of a rumour posted on a rumour site. Lasty, saints fans have had to suffer a lot for the past 5 years, selling our best players, dropping down divisions, thinking we will no longer have a club to support, so i think our fans deserve a bit of good fortune.
---------------------------------------------

To all you envious small minded fans...to put it in laymans terms....Southampton are more attractive option to invest in than the small time clubs mentioned above....get over it

Watford have NEVER been in administration so at least get your facts right. Momentum has taken Southampton into the Championship. Come Christmas they will be below mid table.

Cody McDonald not the only one
leaving Norwich,very strong rumour
that Surman is on his way back to
Southampton,and he's jumping at the
chance to rejoin his old club.

--

The same Surman that is currently a first choice starter in the premier league? Loving his football, playing against the best teams in the world why would he go back to Southampton? No rumours in Norwich, i think its more wishful thinking than than 'very strong rumours'. we dont need to sell so would take a very large offer.

QPR looks very poor and norwich you should be winning wigan at home if you want to stay in the league

Well we still have a chance to beat Wigan at home, we dont play them at Carrow Road until early March. We did however get a decent away draw against them on the opening day of our first season back in the prem. No complaints coming from Norwich fans i shouldnt think.

peoples views on barton and newcastle/arsenal yesterday? my view Barton is scum, I thought Gervinho was caught by Tiote who should of got a 2nd yellow, Barton should of got a red card for what he did, admitted it on twitter that he cheated, he needs banning. Steven Taylor should get a ban and fine for telling the ref it was an elbow off Gervinho, trying to get players sent off is pathetic.Barton and Taylor should be ashamed.Song should of been sent off for stamping on barton. Think Barton will leave soon

as a non liverpool fan its quite clear that liverpool arnt good enough to win the league, suarez, reina, gerrard are very very very good players, but the rest would struggle to win a place in any of the top 4 teams, as a club liverpool are truely a big club in every sense but a decade of poor signings are giving their fans false hopes, reality will dawn upon them very soon, bookies love them, every season without fail they march to the bookies and back them blindly after yet another summer of buying players that aint good enough, i remember this time last season, joe cole arrived, and so did many many false hopes and big talk, you didnt win then and wont now, adam, henderson, downing, carroll are ok but not great, top 6 finish but no better than that.

In an interview with 5Live overnight, Simon Grayson launched an unprecedented attack on Ken Bates' running of Leeds United:

"The chairman and I have always got on well, but to take the club forward he needs to keep his side of the bargain and provide competitive financial backing. The reality is that whilst Leeds do attract big-name players, they don't come to us when they're offered double elsewhere. Look at Neil Kilkenny; I was desperate to keep the lad, but the Chairman wasn't offering what I'd call a 'competitive' package. It comes to something when Bristol City can pay double the wages than Leeds United seem to be able to."

This attack comes after a day of protests against Ken Bates.

Have you even read whathappened to Southmpton? i doubt it. Yes we were put into admin but we paid 100% of what ws owed. even to small businesses etc. (Unlike some clubs that went into admin that did 20p in the pound etc). It wasnt our fault we went into admin , it wasn't over spending on players etc, It was the fact we had our overdraft stopped by the bank. Forcing us to get a points deduction sell players and nearly go out off business. Yes their are out off rumours on hee from saints fan, but it's just their way of being excited their club is on the up. To fans of all clubs, please be realistic, loyalty from clubs or players rarely prevails. Players are seen as assets by clubs and will sell if there valuation is met whoever the player is. Players agents know this and likewise even if a player is a local lad who "loves the club and wants to achieve success for his club" will move if the money is right. Hence, Alex Oxo joins Aresenal and Jay Rod could still join Saints if the money is right for all concerned. While the windows open anything could happen {Ed025's Note - nice post..
