Mr Henry Redknapp is in the process of weighing up his options of joining a consortium that may buy his former club Pompey. The stumbling block is the legality of the who actually owns the land surrounding Fratton Park. This is about to be settled, and i can confidently predict that HR will be in the directors box by September...and now you have read this i can also confidently predict that i have made the whole lot up using various snippets of news and rumour and my own imagination..but what a story.
I also predict the ownwer of the Red Stripes up the road will sell soon and a major investment will come to them(sadly) because of their Youth development and facilities-much as Forest have had new owners because of this.
I also predict that within 10 years there will be a European Super league with no relegation, or promotion, and the english game will slide down as Kid in this country grow up supporting Real and Barca much like kids in every town village and city here currently support Man Utd and Liverpool etc.
It regionalised Part time footie for us and the Brighton's and Blackburns of this world whilt the wednesday and spurs battle out the 1st and 2nd tier of pro footie in England.

People go on about "little " Reading ... we are growing rapidly and have an ambitious Chairman and financial backer and a young and enthusiastic Manager and backroom staff. We may not have the best support, but this is because our stadium has limited capacity but we fill it week in week out. Part of the new package is to expand the stadium to cater for the increasing number of supporters who want to attend and be a part of the Reading adventure. Brian and Antons enthusiasm is rubbing off on everyone they meet - a little club that signs Pavel and Danny Guthrie when they have a choice of clubs they could go to have joined for a reason that is not just about money. Reading being linked with some big names - Sigurdsson, Defoe, Owen all mentioned on this site in the past few weeks (and Messi too if I remember, but that was more lighthearted rather than a rumour with any substance), only goes to show and prove Reading are not there to make up numbers but in the Premiership because they want to succeed. As the gulf between Premiership and Championship gets smaller, but the gap between the top 4 and the rest of the Premiership gets bigger, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever why Reading should not succeed in the top flight. They have an excellent tactical manager, and a young team of players - not a load of prima donnas who are all skillful but cannot play together as a team. THis team spirit is worth a goal in every game and Reading will survive. We are on the rise - so you had better get used to seeing Reading appear in the premiership league table because we are in for the long haul, not a one season wonder. So who is going down? Well, imho, Norwich (sorry) I think are going to struggle. I like Norwich but I think they will find it tough going with their new Manager, as will Swansea. West Ham seem to be struggling at the moment with a lack of new players so unless they can get some new names in quickly then I can see them in the mix as well. Also, Wigan will be in the mix again. Southampton will be safe - I can see them ending up about 4th or 5th from bottom and Reading possibly one or two places above them. Both Reading and Southampton are going to be happy with a bottom half finish but outside of the bottom three.
