Palace waiting on getting cash for Clyne before launching Sam Baldock bid. Ipswich's interest in Baldock is worrying Palace as they must sell before they can launch any bid for the West Ham forward. Any hope of a bidding war for Clyne between Man United and Newcastle appears to be fading as both those clubs are waiting on scout reports at the Euros before making firm bids.

Meanwhile Anthony Gardner is considering performing a u-turn and signing an extension with Palace as his partner is reluctant to move up north. Dougie Freedman has Danny Shittu in his sights if Gardner opts to join Sheff Wednesday.

Enquiries have been made regarding Luke Freeman at Stevenage and George Boyd at Posh as Freedman aims to add to his attacking options.

Crawley Town look set to smash their transfer record with the capture of Matt Taylor who was told that he is no longer needed at West Ham. The bid is in the region of £750,000.

Crawley have also today opened contract talks with Crystal Palace's Owen Garvan after having a £175,000 bid accepted earlier today.

Burnley's new chairmen stated if the Jay Rodriguez deal goes through which it has, 85% of the fee (£7m) will be used on a replacement and some more new faces. Burnley have been interested in the following players which are more than likely to join now as they were before:

The players are:
Jason Shackell
Bret Pitman
Oliver Norwood (Free)
Adam Clayton
Shwan Jalal

Burnley should have just swapped squads with Bournemouth when Eddie was appointed. Would of saved the hassle.

Chaplow is going as part of the Jay Rodriguez deal. Cortese is lining up versatile Victor Wanyama from Celtic. They are reported to want an inflated £7m but we are likely to get him for half that. Good news for us. JR instead of an over rated Hooper & one of Celtics best midfielders who knows that English football with the Saints is a big step up for his career.

Jay Rod has signed but no mention of Chapper's going the other way

Hooper is way better than Rodriguez but hooper will go to a bigger club if he decides to leave

a top player wenger should look at is Christian Eriksen, he's young which is the arsenal way and hes had the experience of playing at international level more than several times. This would be a quality buy for wenger as we dont know quite when Wilshere is back and hes another attacking mid to choose from, as rosicky is attracting some clubs this would be a decent replacement!
