*Dave Jones has agreed fees with two clubs over strikers. One is from the premiership and one from an un-named foreign side. Only one deal can happen as DJ looking for a different type of striker also (baldock type) to compliment what is already at the club
*Despite club statements to the contrary keith Treacey is still a possibility if a fee can be agreed

*Adam Hamill is in talks with Sheffield Wednesday but talks are at an early stage
*Jason Koumas will finally join up with The Owls initially to 'train' and see where things go
*Despite denials from Brighton, Kazenga Lua Lua is considering a move to Hillsborough if the clubs can agree a fee
*Both Sam Baldock and Craig Mackail Smith have visited Hillsborough but no news on any possible deals. It is unlikely the Owls will pay Brightons asking price for Mackail Smith however a player exchange plus cash to brighton has been suggested
*A 'name' centre half has agreed to join the Owls however international clearance is a complicating factor

Saints should sign Adam Johnson as he can play on both wings, has some pace, scores goals and is not a regular for city. We are in more desperate need for a CB, not sure who, Shawcross would be great but unlikely, possibly Curtis Davies or Scott Dan or even Roger Johnson, as for LB I think Luke Shaw should be given the role as he sounds quality!

My Premier League prediction:

1. Manchester United- Have quality and strength to defeat the rest. Knows what it takes to win the league.
2. Chelsea- Di Matteo had a terrific end of season as interim boss last term. Oscar will shine but lack of experience in the premier league from their new signings will be the stuttering thing.
3. Manchester City- Won the title last year without any injuries or suspensions. Haven't strengthened. Without Kompany, the centre-backs are error prone.
4. Tottenham- Two talented signings and have kept same squad from last season. AVB will have a little more experience of playing the lesser teams in the league. This position depends if Luka Modric stays.
5. Arsenal- Will finish outside top four. Cazorla is a brilliant signing. But Arsenal lack strength in other areas. Giroud will be hit and miss. Podolski will have a consolidated season and without Van Persie they lack a goal threat.
6. Liverpool- Will improve from last season. Gerrard and Suarez will have to be on form. Rodgers is the man they need to gradually be a force to be reckoned with again.
7. Newcastle- Last year was a brilliant year for them. But european football if they progress to the next round will take its toll on them. Still be a successful year for the toon.
8. Everton- Always finish high under David Moyes. Pienaar and Naismith will be successful signings but clubs ahead have more quality than Everton.
9. Sunderland- Good manager. Need signings in. O'Neill will install his winning mentality into his players and will be the start to something possibly special for the club.
10. Fulham- Petirc and Rodallega have been on form in pre-season and Jol has signed well to replace the ones who have departed. Good strength in the squad to establish a top ten finish.
11. Aston Villa- If there were any concerns about relegation. Paul Lambert is terrific with goalscorers and Darren Bent will score goals for them.
12. Stoke- Another consolidated season for Stoke. Tony Pulis has signed decent, but not good enough to fight for europe.
13. Swansea- Laudrup will use his association with Spanish to fire the Swans away from second season syndrome. If Joe Allen leaves. He will have to use the £15m wisely.
14. West Brom- Steve Clarke will take his chance in management to full effect. Marcus Rosenborg could be a real hit and he has three goalscorers on his hands with Long and Odemwingie there to fire them safety.
15. Norwich- Hughton did a terrific job at Newcastle in Prem and guided Birmingham into the play-offs. Grant Holt will fire them to safety.
16. QPR- May have signed well, but may take time to gel. To be honest I expect them to be 18th in the league by christmas, but will have a better second half of the season.
17. Wigan- Know alot about staying in the prem. Maybe Martinez's last season in truth. Need a striker to replace Rodallega. Victor Moses' departure depends if they spend money well. Seen Fyvie for Aberdeen, very impressive player.
18. Reading- Pogrebynak will score goals, but it won't be enough to stay in the league. Defence lacks prem experience and will concede goals. Midfield isn't quality either. Good manager in McDermott though.
19. West Ham- McCartney and Henderson waste of signings. Maiga won't be a hit. Allardyce to be sacked by February. Come next summer they will be lucky to finish in the championship play-offs the following year.
20. Southampton- Signings aren't the best, however Steven Davis is a very good signing. Strikers have never played at the highest level. Defence will be very leaky and the keeper situation is very poor. Won't be a Norwich.

Believable7 Unbelievable7

Why waste your time on a prediction like this? All three promoted teams are strong enough to finish mid table. I am sure Southampton and West Ham fans can speak for themselves so I will just concentrate on Reading. Defence lacks prem experience? So does a lot of teams who go up. When Reading went up last we had no prem experience in the team so I see having no prem experience as an advantage (Norwich, Swansea just recently). Look at QPR had bags of experience in the team but was very close to going down. Midfield isn't quality? Let me guess you follow the same naivety as most prem fans, they were in the championship so they must be s***? And it only takes half way in to the season until you give them credit. As a Reading fan the only department I have a worry is upfront which you seem we will score goals but again you show the same mentality as most prem fans when you just assume and follow like sheep.

Having been linked with somewhere near a million players we find ourselves going into the first game short all round.
Transfer window still open for three weeks during which twide midfielders and a second striker urgently needed.
ime it seems likely that Boyd and Taylor move on,no obvious replacements on the horizon.
Left Back, wide midfielders and second striker needed urgently.
Freeman, Leith-Smith and Kennedy all still under consideration from within the club but sources from within say that we need to get good money in first before we can buy anymore
£1.5m for Taylor and £750K for Boyd will do nicely ,I hear
