Bobby Zamora will sign tonight for AFC Wimbledon on a 1 year deal. He has turned down an offer from Leyton Orient and another an unnamed league two club to sign for the Dons.

20 Jul 2016 11:48:51
Where's that coming from?

21 Jul 2016 10:43:09
There's been a lot of made-up rumours about this signing, but some of them might be true. The groundsman has been seen today renaming the back row in the John Green stand 'Row Z'.

09 Jan 2017 11:04:10
Don't think he would really do much for use, considering we already have four very talented strikers already.

20 Jun 2016 14:35:00
AFC Wimbledon are in talks with Nigel Reo-Coker about a potential move back to the UK.

22 Jun 2016 15:58:57
not a chance.

27 Jun 2016 03:14:08
where's he currently at?

09 Jan 2017 11:04:47
Don't think that will happen, but anything is possible, I guess

14 Jun 2016 17:54:11
AFC Wimbledon will imminently confirm the signing of Billy Knott on a free transfer. Knott was recently released by Bradford City. The former Chelsea and West Ham youth player joined the Dons on loan from Sunderland in 2012, and was the Dons' Young Player of the Year for the 2011/ 12 season, despite only joining them in January of that year. The Dons will bring him in to provide competition at left midfield and for the central midfield positions.

Wimbledon are also considering making a move for former academy player Luke Gambin, who starred for Barnet at left midfield last season. Sutton-born Gambin recently broke into the Malta national team, and will hope to cement a place in the team as Malta head into a World Cup Qualifying group that includes Scotland and England. Gambin would be brought in to replace Sean Rigg who is on his way back to the South West of England, with Cheltenham and Yeovil both interested in signing the Gloucester-born wide midfielder. However Rigg may drop to the non-league to sign for Forest Green Rovers, where he spent some time as a youth player.

Wimbledon striker Adebayo Azeez will sign a 6 month loan deal with Dagenham and Redbridge in the coming months. Azeez went on loan to the Daggers in 2014, scoring 3 times in 15 appearances. The recently-relegated Daggers host the Dons in a pre-season friendly in late July, and it is likely Azeez will join them soon after that friendly game.
The Dons will hope that some consistent game time will sharpen up the pacy striker who struggled to finish his chances at the back end of the 2015/ 16 season.
AFC Wimbledon will give trial to powerful striker Uche Ikpeazu over pre-season period, as they look to complete their young strike force for next season. The former Watford player gained plenty of experience in League One over the last two seasons with Crewe, Doncaster, Port Vale and Blackpool. Although he is very strong, he admittedly possesses only a slight amount of the strength of departing Adebayo Akinfenwa, but Ikpeazu can provide a lot more speed in attack.

12 May 2016 17:36:44
Stoke City have agreed a deal to sign young AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper Will Mannion. The tall 17-year-old shot stopper featured in goal during The Dons' FA Youth Cup run, which saw them knock out Watford and Newcastle both at their respective Premier League stadiums. He was also invited by England to a goalkeeper training camp at St. George's Park in Burton, which is where he first came to the attention of scouts from many Premier League clubs. Mannion will join The Potters' under-21 squad next season. The Dons had offered Mannion a pro contract but the youngster turned it down.

Karleigh Osborne will train with AFC Wimbledon over the pre-season period after his release by Bristol City. Osborne joined on loan from The Robins until the end of the season, but a long-term injury prevented him from playing any part in recent months. Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley has kept Osborne with The Dons despite his injury ruling him out for the season, and has the centre back in his plans for next season.

14 Mar 2016 22:15:25
AFC Wimbledon hope to get a deal done with Burton Albion before the weekend, to sign utility player Darius Charles. It is expected that they would use Charles as a centre back, having had young centre half Ryan Sweeney red carded on Saturday, and long term injuries to all their other central defensive players limiting their options in that position. Charles signed for Burton Albion in the summer, but a succession of injuries have prevented him making his league debut for the Brewers. Burton boss Nigel Clough recently said that he expected Charles to play a role in Burton's run to wrap up the League One title, but that a loan move may be in the offing to help get the utility player used to first-team football again. It now appears that he is still going to be on the fringes at Burton, and he will now join Wimbledon on loan until the end of this season.

Wimbledon are also hoping to secure Sam Saunders on loan as they continue their push for the playoffs. The experienced Bees midfielder has only been used from the bench in recent months, a situation he found himself in last season as well. Saunders asked to be loaned out, and joined Wycombe at a similar point in the season last campaign. He had a successful time at Adams Park and helped Wycombe reach the playoff final. Although he will not remember that game fondly, as he was taken off early in the match and Wycombe went on to lose on penalties to Southend United. Saunders, a Brentford favourite, will hope to get a good run of games whilst out on loan, and maybe even another run to the League Two playoff final. Linked with a move to the MLS a few months ago, he said that he hoped to be able to stay at Brentford and would do anything to get back into contention for a starting spot for the Bees.

22 Jan 2016 11:50:43
Devante cole going to Fleetwood permanently and bradford getting jamie proctor in as short term replacement on months loan. Bradford are monitoring a few strikers as permanent replacements including aaron collins (Newport) kristian dennis (Macclesfield) and Lyle Taylor (AFC Wimbledon.

21 Jan 2016 20:41:03
AFC Wimbledon are in talks with Nigel Reo-Coker for a move back to the UK. The potential stumbling block is Reo-Coker is currently under contract with Montreal- though it could be terminated by mutual consent.

10 Jan 2016 16:18:15
Wycombe, Yeovil Town and AFC Wimbledon have enquired about the possibility of taking Matt Tubbs on loan till the end of the season.

15 Jan 2016 11:07:50
Crawley Town have also enquired.

09 Jan 2016 16:48:46
AFC Wimbledon have made a bid to sign Wrexham attacking midfielder Dominic Vose. Wimbledon have lacked a goalscoring central midfielder this season, and Neal Ardley has identified London-born Vose, who has already got into double figures for the Conference side, as the man to provide that extra attacking edge. Newport County and Cheltenham Town have also made offers for the player, but he may prefer a move back to London.

Peterborough United have had a bid for Wimbledon midfielder Jake Reeves rejected. Reeves has been integral to the Dons this season and his high energy performances have attracted a host of admirers. The Dons may look to cash in on the midfielder, as his contract expires at the end of the season.

Wimbledon have made an offer for Bristol City centre back Adam El-Abd. The former Egypt international helped Bury climb out of League Two last season. He was on loan there from the Robins, where he started last season but fell out of favour. Ironically he played his final game for City against the Dons in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. This season he was loaned out to Swindon Town where he has recently returned from and has said he will not return. The Dons hope that they can secure El-Abd for a small fee, but will face competition from a host of League One and League Two clubs, including Bury, Leyton Orient, Rochdale and Shrewsbury Town.

The Dons are also considering boosting their options in defence with the loan signing of either giant centre back Cameron Burgess from Fulham, or marauding full back Nico Yennaris from Brentford.

Wimbledon will let George Oakley and Ben Harrison leave in the next two weeks. Oakley has had injury problems, and hopes to put those behind him with a move to Aldershot. Initially on loan, with an option to sign permanently in the summer.
Harrison broke into the Dons' starting eleven last season, but has found himself confined to the development squad, with little opportunity to even sit on the bench. Harrison has asked to be allowed a short term loan spell, and a move to Sutton United should be completed very soon.

After scoring both goals in Wimbledon's FA Youth Cup win away at Newcastle United, Alfie Egan has attracted the attention of Tottenham, Southampton and one of Wimbledon's potential opponents in the next round, Chelsea.

Fulham have made a bid for Egan's under-18 teammate Will Mannion. The 17-year-old is a tall goalkeeper who is being watched by England youth team selectors, and will join an England goalkeeper training camp next week. Mannion has travelled with the Dons first team squad for several games this season, but has failed to make the bench. The young keeper has expressed his desire to stay with the Dons, and is enjoying being part of their historic Youth Cup run, but his outstanding displays have caught the attention of a whole host of Premier League sides' scouts.

23 Dec 2015 15:22:50
Wimbledon: Loan in on Joe Quigley from AFC Bournemouth until end of season. Strong hold up forward that can finish. Dons weighing up-not literally-shifting on Elliot or Akinfannwa (second tier of MSL apparently)

Tubs was of interest but is Crawley bound

Enquiry also made for Marquis.

23 Dec 2015 17:23:09
Would be interesting, Quigley is quite feisty. Get it in the mixer.

Quigley rejected Wimbledon's loan offer last season/ season before.

04 Aug 2015 00:53:00
AFC Wimbledon have launched an ambitious bid to sign Brad Inman from Crewe Alexandra. The Australian has fallen out of favour at Crewe and has been told he can leave for a small fee, which Wimbledon now have after the sale of Dan Agyei to Burnley.

AFC Wimbledon are also hoping to complete a loan deal for left sided defender Christian Scales from Crystal Palace. The young defender, who has impressed in pre-season for the Eagles, is related to ex-Wimbledon FC & Liverpool defender John Scales. The Dons face competition from Crawley and Dagenham & Redbridge.

AFC Wimbledon are also set to sign Charles Weston-Hayles after a successful trial.

Youngster George Oakley will join Hampton & Richmond Borough on a short term loan deal.

16 Jul 2015 09:47:04
Any news on a centre half?

17 Jul 2015 01:05:25
Neal Ardley's 'marquee' CB signing is still ON as of last night. DO - currently injured short-term - has better money offers from higher clubs, but wants to be based in London, respects the manager and - crucially - wants to join a club where he is very likely to be a starter. Wimbledon offer him that. Still a bit of a job getting it over the line, but a lot of hard work has gone into it and Erik Samuelson has given Neal his full support on it.
Barnet's towering Stephens is a fallback plan and Neal doesn't want to risk missing out on both, so expect an agreement on one next Tuesday.

17 Jul 2015 02:42:17
Possible swoop for Winfield again

29 Jul 2015 12:42:39
Any more rumours on the centre half for Wimbledon?

29 Jul 2015 12:43:12
Any more rumours on the centre half for Wimbledon?

31 Jul 2015 13:38:59
Only that now DO has signed for Gillingham (was a close call over Wimbledon) that Wimbledon need to agree a fee for Stephens.
if Martin Allen 'picks up the phone' he play against Cheltenham.

31 Jul 2015 19:45:41
Portsmouth's Paul Robinson could be a late development for Wimbledon.

01 Aug 2015 22:58:46
Robinson over the line and played for Wimbledon today 'on trial'. Terms agreed but paperwork not registered in time because fee was being haggled. Stephens still on radar as Neal Ardley doesn't - ideally -want Barry Fuller as first back up for his centre backs in case of injury on account of his wanting a bigger side who can bully teams. Looks unlikely now though.

08 Jul 2015 16:24:47
Tommy Smith (ex Watford) being lined up as a possible signing for AFC Wimbledon

30 Jun 2015 23:50:10
Expect two Wimbledon signing announcements after contracts expire tonight. Barcham, who passed his medical late Monday afternoon, should be one.

01 Jul 2015 09:53:00
Good addition when fit,had a few injury issues at Pompey.

01 Jul 2015 11:34:40
Striker Lee Angol of Luton is available for a compensation fee and has been made an offer by Wimbledon also.

02 Jul 2015 22:40:54
Striker more familiar north of the border coming in subject to personal terms. If a deal can be done, it will be a (minor) coup for Simon Bassey who has been hounding him to join despite five or more other offers from League 2.

14 Jul 2015 15:01:53
Now announced - credit to Wimbledon coach Simon Bassey for that one. Top target from the off having been a hit in Scotland and bringing League 1 experience with him.

15 Jul 2015 19:14:41
Yeah nice information, thanks, looks promising after a debut hat trick.

29 Jun 2015 21:17:32
Portsmouth winger Andy Barcham is linked with a move to AFC Wimbledon. Johnny Ertl is tipped to leave too. And strangely Matt Tubbs has been rumoured to leave, which I don't believe.

01 Jul 2015 16:57:04
He's left Pompey today and is expected to sign for AFC Wimbledon soon
